Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effect of heating base temperature on tensile strength and hardness of AA 1100 welds in Friction Stir Welding (FSW). The research methodology includes preparing work pieces of size 150 mm x 100 mm x 3.6 mm from aluminium alloy AA1100 series, making work piece clamps that are suitable for the milling machine used, preparing heating plates 500 Watt for FSW, preparing tools from AISI-H13 material with a shoulder diameter of 20 mm and pin size of M5 x 3.4 mm for FSW, the implementation of FSW with a rotating speed of 1750 rpm and translation speed of 10 mm/minute, preparing hardness test specimens, preparing tensile test specimens refers to ASTM E8-13a, and data analysis of hardness test and tensile test results. The FSW results show that the hardness value increases with the increase in the width of the heating plate linearly for a temperature of 200oC from 10 mm to 30 mm which indicates better conditions, meanwhile decreases at a temperature of 175oC for heating plate width from 10 mm to 20 mm, but increases to 30 mm which is different for the temperature of 250oC and temperature of 300oC which have increased from 10 mm to 20 mm, but decreases towards 30 mm, and than the correlation between AA 1100 tensile strength and surface hardness of 3 heating plate widths is shown with the function of tensile strength, s (MPa) = -0.9699 x surface hardness (HV) + 102.01.

Abstract

The problem faced is that the white chromium coating has a low selling value or aesthetic value than the black chromium layer which is more in demand, especially by the younger generation who prioritizes aesthetics. The purpose of the corrosion test was to determine the corrosion resistance ability of the black chromium coating resulting from the electroplating process on the relationship between the solution temperature and the immersion time of copper in a corrosive solution. Corrosion test methods include literature studies, field observations, weighing specimens, immersing specimens in corrosive solutions, weighing specimens, calculating corrosion rates, and data analyzing. Corrosion test results show that the higher the temperature of the solution and the longer the immersion time, the smaller the corrosion rate for the lowest conditions at 30oC and a duration of 5 minutes with a corrosion rate of 0.2004 mm/year and the highest conditions at a temperature of 50oC and a duration of 9 minutes at a rate of corrosion of 0.0108 mm/year.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to construct a measurement tool for evaluating self-directed professional learning (SDPL) among teachers in Vocational High Schools within the framework of human capital. The research was carried out using a sample size of 307 teachers who were instructing business management  productive subjects at several vocational high schools located in the province of East Java, Indonesia. The novelty of this research is the development and validation of an instrument called the SPDL instrument to assess the SDPL abilities of vocational teachers. In addition, in order to assess the reliability and validity of a construct measured using a reflective scale, it is necessary to examine the Cronbach Alpha coefficient and the Average Variance Extracted (AVE). All indicators ideally above a threshold of 0.8. Based on the available evidence, it can be inferred that the aforementioned 34 items possess the necessary qualities of validity and reliability, rendering them suitable for utilization as an SDPL scale.

Abstract

This research demonstrates that the economic growth of the fisheries sector is underpinned by a synergistic interaction among investment, innovation, and market demand. Investment not only expands capacity directly but also enhances innovation capabilities that produce additional growth dividends. Market demand acts as an external driver that spurs producers to expand, upgrade, and diversify. The study achieves its aims: quantifying the relative contributions of the three drivers, revealing the mediating role of innovation, and uncovering spatial and subsectoral heterogeneity. From a policy perspective, the results point to the need for coordinated strategies: capital support, innovation encouragement, and market linkage must be advanced in tandem and adapted to regional contexts.

Abstract

The involvement of rogue Land Deed Officials (PPAT) and Notaries in illegal land title transfers, exemplified by the case of Nirina Zubir, constitutes a severe breach of their Profession Code of Ethics and professional oath. This highlights their failure to perform the principle of due diligence, as it is exploited by involving themselves in land mafias practice. The professional duty to act with honesty, integrity, diligence, independence, and impartiality, mandated by the Code of Ethics, the Notary Public Law (UUJN), and Regulation on the Office of the PPAT is violated when an authentic deed is issued based on forged documents or false identities. Such actions directly cause significant material losses and trigger a Tort (Perbuatan Melawan Hukum/PMH) under Article 1365 of the Civil Code. The consequences of these ethical violations are layered, encompassing professional disciplinary sanctions (ranging up to dishonorable discharge by the Notary Honorary Council or the PPAT Honorary Assembly), along with potential civil and criminal liability. This makes it a crucial issue demanding rigorous legal and ethical enforcement to restore the profession's integrity and ensure legal certainty in land affairs.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the existence, institutional environment and the sustainability of pesantren institutions in the village that experienced urbanization because of industrialization and the culture of modernity. The study used a constructivism paradigm for qualitative method. Data mining is done through in-depth interview techniques and field observations with the support of document studies. The results showed that, in responding to the instrumentation (the interests) of the state and the pragmatic market demands Pesantren Manbail Futuh pursuing a strategy of hybridization and the commodification of education. It is to adopt a policy of state education as well as to accommodate the community's preference based on the general education schools that is based in Pesantren. Hybridization of education is a diversification of education units (religious and general) in Pesantren. While commodification is intended as fundraising efforts to support the operational needs of the institution so that the implementation of formal education units shall meet national education standards (NES) in addition to meeting society's expectations (market). This strategy means a form of guarantee for the existence and sustainability of pesantren institutions in rural communities.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe participation of young voters in the democratic process is crucial in determining the future of the country. Young voters play a significant role in expressing their aspirations and voices in the democratic process. The low awareness among young voters, especially among students, poses a challenge to democracy due to the limited involvement of young people. Young individuals who meet the criteria for voting have the right to actively participate in the electoral process and express their choices. This right is constitutionally protected and forms the basis for the exercise of political rights. One of the ways to enhance the awareness of young voters and encourage their active participation in elections is through education and community engagement. This is particularly important in the context of SMAN 34 Jakarta. The goal of community engagement activities is to increase the awareness of young voters and motivate them to use their voting rights in elections. The method employed in these community engagement activities is the presentation and delivery of educational materials to the participants. During these activities, evaluations are conducted to assess the participants' understanding. The outcomes of these community engagement activities include increased awareness and understanding among young voters. This serves as a positive starting point in building a more democratic and participatory society in the electoral process.Keywords: Young Voters, Voting Rights, Democracy, StudentsABSTRAKPartisipasi pemilih pemula dalam pesta demokrasi merupakan suatu hal penting dalam penentuan masa depan negara. Rendahnya kesadaran pemilih pemula khusunya di kalangan pelajar menjadi hambatan demokrasi terkait minimnya partisipasi anak muda. Generasi muda yang telah memenuhi syarat sebagai pemilih memiliki hak untuk berpartisipasi menyuarakan hak pilihnya terhadap pilihannya. Ini mejadi hak yang diatur dalam konstitusi yang menjadi terselenggaranya hak politik. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pemilih pemula untuk ikut berpartisipasi aktif dalam pemilu adalah dengan dilakukannya penyuluhan atau pengabdian masyarakat terkait pentingnya partisipasi pemilih pemula di SMAN 34 Jakarta. Tujuan dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran para pemilih pemula untuk ikut aktif menggunakan hak pilihnya dalam pemilu. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan metode pemaparan atau penyampaian materi kepada peserta kegiatan. Dalam kegiatan ini juga dilakukan evaluasi terhadap para peserta guna mengukur pemahaman para peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran para pemilih pemula. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the immunity rights possessed by the Ombudsman in handling reports related to franchisee businesses and their impact on legal protection for the involved parties. The Ombudsman, as a public service supervisory institution, plays a strategic role in ensuring justice and accountability in the business sector, including franchisees. The immunity rights attached to the Ombudsman provide legal protection in carrying out its duties independently, but their implementation often faces challenges, particularly in cases involving business interests. The research employs a normative-juridical approach, analyzing laws and regulations, case studies, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that the Ombudsman's immunity rights have been adequately implemented, although challenges remain, such as the franchisees' lack of understanding of the Ombudsman's functions and authority. This study recommends enhancing legal education for business actors and strengthening supervisory mechanisms to prevent potential abuse of immunity rights.

Abstract

Situation analysis The chocolate farmer group is located in Nglegi Hamlet RT 09 RW 03 Nglegi Patuk, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region 55561. This group has natural potential and chocolate agricultural products are quite good in Gunungkidul. The products of this chocolate farmer group are processed from the basic ingredients of chocolate, because one village is almost 50% planted with chocolate trees which are the specialty of this village. The processed products produced include coffee powder, chocolate rengginang, and chocolate bananas. The main obstacle felt by the chocolate farmer group is how to make new products that are competitive and weak graphic design so that product visualization becomes an obstacle in imagining the shape of new products and the right packaging. Solutions are needed literacy in the application of the TRIKON strategy so that formalization, intervention, and value integration in product and business development continue to run continuously because this is the hope of all members of the Chocolate Farmers Group. This service program runs according to plan and has a significant impact on understanding the literacy of packaging innovation based on 3 N (niteni, nirokke, nambahi) and visualizing the type of packaging that has local wisdom value. In addition, the main obstacle of how to determine new competitive products can be overcome by understanding the TRIKON strategy well. Literacy The application of the TRIKON Strategy (continuous, convergent and concentric) in the innovation of Farmers Group chocolate product variants is expected to be able to be applied in the face of a constantly evolving environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

Eling merupakan produk inovasi yang digunakan di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya sejak 2020. Namun pemanfaatan Eling ini belum digunakan oleh semua tenaga pengajar di lingkungan FILKOM. Hal ini membuat mahasiswa tidak semuanya menggunakannya dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kendala dan pengalaman mahasiswa terkait pengelolaan Eling khususnya di lingkungan program studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi (PTI) Departemen Sistem Informasi pada Fakultas Ilmu Komputer. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan dalam memperbaiki Eling dan juga melaksanakan pelatihan penggunaan Eling bagi tenaga pengajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang telah divalidasi dan reliabel. Kuesioner tersebut dibagikan kepada mahasiswa secara online. Populasi dari penelitian ini sebanyak 390 mahasiswa yang berasal dari program studi PTI dan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling menggunakan tabel Isaac and Michael sebanyak 186 mahasiswa. Namun hanya 79% atau 147 mahasiswa yang mengisi kuesioner tersebut dan menghasilkan persentase pada kriteria-kriteria: desain tampilan sebesar 81.29 yang termasuk kategori layak, desain pembelajaran sebesar 76.48 yang termasuk kategori layak, materi sebesar 75.51 yang termasuk kategori layak, media pendukung sebesar 81.73 yang termasuk kategori sangat layak, dan komunikasi sebesar 66.87 yang termasuk kategori layak. Pentingnya kriteria-kriteria tersebut terpenuhi dalam Eling dapat membuat dan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam belajar. AbstractEling was an innovative product that has been used at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya since 2020. However, the use of this Eling has not been used by all teaching staff in FILKOM. This made students not all use it in learning. This study aimed to find the constraints and experiences of students related to intelligence management, especially within the Information Technology Education (PTI), Information Systems department at the Faculty of Computer Science. The result of this research could be used to update Eling and held the workshop in the usage of Eling. The descriptive quantitative was used as research method. The research instrument used was a validated and reliable questionnaire. The questionnaire was given to PTI’s students. The population of this study was 390 students and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling using the Isaac and Michael tables of 186 students. However, only 79% or 147 students filled out the questionnaire and produced percentages on the criteria: display design of 81.29 which was included in the feasible category, learning design of 76.48 which was included in the feasible category, material 75.51 which was included in the feasible category, supporting media of 81.73 which included in the very feasible category, and communication of 66.87 which included the feasible category. The importance of these criteria being met in awareness can make and facilitate students in learning.
