Abstract

The purpose of this study include: 1)measuring the level of farm productivity and comparing among the tomato business scale, and 2) to identify factors that influence the tomato farm production in Jember. This research has been conducted in Jember, covering five District of samples, namely: Ledokombo, Sumberjambe, Ajung, Panti and Umbulsari. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews with tomato farmers are guided by a list of questions that had been developed previously. While the secondary data obtained from the literature and agencies associated with this research. Analysis of the data used include quantitative descriptive analysis and regression naturally assuming that the relationship between the independent variables (Xi) and dependent variable (Y) is a Cobb-Douglas production function. The final conclusion is that: 1) The average productivity of farming tomatoes in Jember district, which consists of land productivity amounted to 153.662 ku / ha, labor productivity of 4.906 Kg / JKP, and productivity costs by 0.00047 Kg/USD. Based strata land area, did not show any differences in labor productivity and costs and but on land productivity among business scale narrow and wide, showed a highly significant difference in the confidence level of 99%, and 2) the factors that affect significantly to namely the production of land, labor and seed, while the fertilizers, pesticides and pesticide effect no significant effect on farm production of tomatoes in Jember. Abstract

Dragon fruit to be one of the flagship products Banyuwangi, but some patterns running inefficient marketing chains with an indication of some farmers receive farmer's share is less than 50% and most marketing agencies involved received benefits irrational. Least efficient marketing dragon fruit is determined by the length of the short marketing channels that lead further on the high and low cost marketing functions that must be removed. The objectives of this study were: 1) Tracing patterns dragon fruit marketing chains are awakened in Banyuwangi, and 2) to analyze margins, marketing efficiency, and elasticity of price transmission dragon fruit marketing. The type and method used in this research is descriptive and survey conducted in 2016 - 2017 some of the districts in Banyuwangi and Jember with sampling techniques through incidental and snowbolling sampling and data collection techniques in depth interviews and observations of the 32 respondents merchants, The results of this study concluded that: 1) Marketing of dragon fruits in the study area is formed of three patterns of chain marketing, where marketing agencies involved include, Small traders, merchant wholesalers, traders wholesalers, and retailers, each of which performs the function of different marketing, and 2) the results of the analysis of marketing margins dragon fruit showed that the pattern of the third chain is the most efficient marketing chain and patterns I chain most inefficient as indicated by the farmer's share of respectively 55.45% and 45%. The marketing price transmission elasticity Et dragon fruit (0.4) <1 or run inefficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profitability of domestic chicken business in Jember Regency, to find out the factors that influence the profitability of chicken farming in Jember Regency, determine the development strategy domestic chicken in Jember Regency. This researche used survey method. The research was conducted in 3 (three) Subdistricts namely Bangsalsari, Umbulsari, and Gumukmas Subdistricts, in Jember Regency. The data used in this researche include primary data and secondary data. The data is done qualitatively and quantitatively. The analysis used is profit analysis, multiple regression analysis and SWOT analysis. This researche concludes that (1) Wild Chicken Jowo Super (Joper) Business in Jember Regency is profitable with an average revenue gain of Rp. 9,749,038 per production process, and the total production costs are Rp. 9,082,346 per production process. The average business profit rate of Buras Joper Chicken in Kabupaten Jember is IDR 666,693 / production process / 404 heads. (2) Business Benefits of Burst Joper Chicken are influenced by 5 independent variables namely price (X1), production (X2), cost of production facilities (X3), labor costs (X4), and other costs (X5) with a positive relationship and significant at the real level of five percent. This is indicated by the results of the calculated F test greater than F table at the real level of 99%. Simultaneously the factors have a significant effect on profits including price, production, production facilities, labor costs and other costs. But partially significant factors include the price of output and production, while the ones that are not significant include the costs of means of production, labor costs, and other costs. (3) Based on the results of the SWOT Analysis, the Buras Chicken Business in Jember Regency is in position / quadrant I (Growth / Aggressive / progressive). This position signifies a strong and potential business, meaning that the business is carried out in prime condition. So that it is truly possible to continue to expand, increase growth and achieve maximum progress.

Abstract

The study was conducted to examine the problemsed of broiler chicken farms at Sukowono District, Jember Regency. The research objectives are; (1) Identifying sources of production risk, (2) Knowing the opportunities for production risk, (3) Knowing the impact of production risk, (4) Formulate risk status and alternative strategies applied to overcome production risks. This type of research is descriptive and survey methods, using primary and secondary data with the location of the study chosen deliberately (purposive). Sampling uses the Total Sampling method. Data analysis using z-score, Value at Risk (VaR), risk status and risk map. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that; (1) Sources of production risk are diseases, rejected chickens, environmental disturbances and predatory pests, (2) Opportunities for production risk are environmental disorders of 62,17%, reject chicken 59,87%, pests and predators 57,14%, and diseases 44,04%, (3) The impact of the risk in the form of potential losses originating from the disease amounted to IDR 9.303.171, environmental disturbances amounting to IDR 6.814.817, reject chicken amounting to IDR 6.684.948 and pests and predators of IDR 264.718 of 109.000 chickens, (4) Risk status for sources of risk of reject chicken and environmental disturbances is severe, for sources of risk of predatory diseases and pests are moderate. The results of risk mapping indicate that there are preventive and mitigation strategies. Environmental disorders and reject chicken are a source of risk that has a great opportunity and impact. Abstract

A crucial problem faced by the target village community is the inhibition of changing the paradigm of the farmer community on the process of changing the mindset and action patterns in organic and conventional cultivation systems. In fact, the potential for the application of organic farming in the village is wide open, because the market for organic fertilizers and biological pesticides has started to run. The objective of the IbDM program is to optimize the supply of organic-based agricultural products towards healthy living. The implementation method used to find solutions to problems is in the form of social engineering and technological engineering approaches through socialization and training. The approach taken to the engineering process is in the form of a participatory approach, empowerment, and inter-entrepreneurial development in an effort to strengthen the capacity of community human resources by involving stakeholders through the village system model. The results of program implementation are as follows: 1) Socialization of the IbDM program with the results of partners understanding intellectually about the concept of this activity and are ready to participate in building an organic village; 2) The organic village cycle has been implemented properly with the formation of the Organic Farming Institute (OFI)) Al-Istiqomah; 3) Soil sample analysis has been carried out with 10 types of complete analysis and a 3 hectare demonstration plot mapping has been carried out; 4) A comparative study has been carried out to Gapoktan Al-Barokah Bondowoso; 5) Training has been carried out on the manufacture of organic materials; and 6) The results of the participatory review showed the achievement of success indicators of 65% and OFI performance of 30.23% or semi empowered and ready to go organic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is included: Analyzing the socioeconomic factors that caused thedecrease in livestock farming profits tarp African catfish ponds in the study area; Knowingthe profit rate of African catfish farming pond tarp in the study area, and analyze the level ofefficiency of African catfish pond fish farming sheeting in the area of research both allocativeefficiency technical and economical. Furthermore, to achieve the three objectives referred to,then usedquantitative descriptive method with survey techniques The population in thisstudy were African catfish pond fish farmers in the village tarp Cangkring Jember District ofJenggawah efforts that have experienced a declining rate of profit. The data analysistechnique used is the analysis of Cobb - Douglass function of profit , and the frontierproduction function analysis of profit. The results of this study concluded : 1) socio-economicfactors are thought to influence the profit decline in fish farming catfish pond tarp at the sitesrun significantly at 5 % significance level α with the level of determination of 0,618; 2 ) Theaverage rates of profit breeders catfish in the study site is IDR 1.255.000,85 per businessscale or as much as IDR 484.556,31 per 1,000 fry the profitability of 42.38 %, and 3) averageuse of all inputs in the production of African catfish farming has a pool tarp technicalefficiency of 2,11, at 6,36 allocative efficiency and economic efficiency level of 13,43.

Abstract

The increasing trend of fishery business development in Jember Regency, in fact notaccompanied by a decent Fishermen's (proportional) Exchange Rate. This is due to thelimited fishermen to access market opportunities, technology, and easy capital, so that thefishermen have not enjoyed much real results. This condition is caused by the production ofthe catch is still low, the quality of the fish has not met the standard, the price of fish is lowand the lack of support from the business world as well as the prerequisite condition of thefish market facilities and infrastructure are clean, so less attract consumers to come buy. Thepurpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the implementation of marketing strategymodel of marine fish marketing through hygienic fish market to new market structure,marketing channel pattern, and marketing efficiency of marine fish in Jember Regency. Inorder to achieve the purpose of this research, it is used descriptive quantitative andqualitative research methods through survey technique of acidental sampling andsnowbolling sampling. Types of population in this study are Fishermen, Traders includinggroups who are members of Poklaksar, and Consumers. The data collection techniques usedFGD, Indepth Interview and observation. Data analysis used included descriptive analysis,and marketing margin. The results of the research conclude: 1) Market structure in HygienicFish Market model in Jember Regency is classified as Monopolistic Market which is moreaimed at oligopoly market, 2) Pattern of marine fish marketing channel that occur in hygienicfish market model is covering three kinds of marketing channel pattern, and 3) Hygienic FishMarket Model can provide a fairly high share of Fisher (Farmer's share) margin (58.95%),meaning that the marketing of marine fish model has been achieved Efficiency.

Abstract

Telur ayam ras merupakan sumber protein yang relatif murah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan telur ayam ras di Kabupaten Jember, serta mengalisis tingkat elastisitasnya karena harga, elastisitas silang permintaan karena harga barang lain dan elastisitas pendapatan. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda model Cobb-Douglas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan telur ayam ras secara nyata meliputi; harga telur ayam buras, harga ikan laut, jumlah pendapatan per bulan, dummy selera dan dummy wilayah penelitian. Sedangkan pengaruh dari variabel harga telur ayam ras, harga telur bebek, harga tahu, harga tempe, harga tepung, jumlah anggota keluarga dan tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap permintaan telur ayam ras. Nilai koefisien elastisitas harga telur ayam ras bersifat elastis dengan nilai -1,924. Elastisitas silang dari harga telur bebek sebesar 0,148 bersifat inelastis, Elastisitas silang dari harga telur ayam buras sebesar -1,261 bersifat elastis, Elastisitas silang dari harga ikan laut sebesar 3,241 bersifat elastis, Elastisitas silang dari harga tahu sebesar -0,177 bersifat inelastis, Elastisitas silang dari harga tempe sebesar -0,110 bersifat inelastis, Elastisitas silang dari harga tepung sebesar 0,807 bersifat inelastis. Sedangkan elastisitas pendapatan bernilai positif sebesar 0,618 menunjukkan bahwa permintaan telur ayam ras merupakan elastisitas pendapatan inelastis yang masih bersifat barang normal yaitu apabila telur ayam ras mengalami kenaikan permintaan jika pendapatan meningkat

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meliputi : Menganalisis faktor sosial ekonomi yang menjadi penyebab turunnya tingkat keuntungan usahatani ternak lele dumbo kolam terpal di daerah penelitian; Mengetahui tingkat keuntungan usaha ternak lele dumbo melalui media kolam terpal di daerah penelitian; dan Menganalisis tingkat efisiensi usahatani ikan lele dumbo kolam terpal di daerah penelitian baik efisiensi alokatif, teknis dan ekonomis. Selanjutnya untuk mencapai ketiga tujuan dimaksud, maka digunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petani ikan lele dumbo kolam terpal yang ada di Desa Cangkring Kecamatan Jenggawah Kabupaten Jember yang selama ini usahanya mengalami tingkat keuntungan yang semakin menurun. Adapun teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa fungsi keuntungan Cobb-Douglass, fungsi produksi frontier dan analisa keuntungan (profit). Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan : 1) Seluruh faktor sosial ekonomi yang diduga berpengaruh terhadap turunnya keuntungan usaha ternak ikan lele dumbo kolam terpal di lokasi penelitian berjalan secara signifikan pada taraf nyata α 5% dengan tingkat determinasi sebesar 0.618; 2) Rata-rata tingkat keuntungan peternak lele di lokasi penelitian adalah sebanyak Rp 1.255.000,85 per skala usaha atau sebanyak Rp 484,556.31 per 1000 ekor benih dengan memiliki profitabilitas sebesar 42,38%; dan 3) Rata-rata penggunaan seluruh input produksi pada usaha ternak lele dumbo kolam terpal memiliki efisiensi teknis sebesar 2.11, efesiensi alokatif sebesar 6.36, dan tingkat efisiensi ekonomi sebesar 13. 43.
