Abstract

This study aimed to explore students' views on using JASP (Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistics Program) as a learning tool in an educational statistics course within the English Education Program. Using a quantitative approach, the study gathered data that allowed for statistical insights into students' understanding and experiences with the tool. Questionnaires were distributed to 23 students selected through convinience sampling. The results showed that many students felt JASP supported their grasp of statistical concepts, helped them better interpret data, and reduced the likelihood of errors in their analyses. However, some students expressed a need for more guidance and practice to fully benefit from the tool. Overall, while JASP showed promise in enhancing statistical learning, its effective use would benefit from structured support to help students make the most of it in their studies.

Abstract

Drawing on the construct of Academic Literacy, Paul Sutton coined the term "Feedback Literacy" in 2012. Since then, a growing body of research on Feedback Literacy has emerged from scholars worldwide. This bibliometric study then intended to trace the historical development of Feedback Literacy research over a decade and identify future trends and directions in the field. Extracting from the Scopus database and employing Bibliometrix R-tool, this study seeks to reveal the performance analysis and science mapping of the construct. PRISMA 2020 was utilized to guide the articles' search, screening, selection, and reporting. The result of the performance analysis revealed the most prominent journal (Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education), author (David Carless), article (Carless & Boud, 2018), and keywords (students-related feedback) in feedback literacy research. The conceptual, intellectual, and social structure analyses under science mapping provided insight into popular and fundamental research themes and the collaboration network among feedback literacy authors, with Australian researchers at the forefront. The findings imply that feedback literacy is a fertile ground for further research on topics such as students-related feedback, online feedback, ecological factor, and dialogic feedback. Studies outside of the context of higher education are still under-represented. This study can also aid novice scholars m finding relevant references or outlets for publication.

Abstract

The torment of the grave is a consequence that must be accepted and seems to be a punishment for a servant as a form of retribution for every behavior he has done during his life in the world. The similarity of the context related to the torment of the grave between Tuan Minal's perspective and Albert Bandura's social learning theory has a gap of difference which is the basis for this research so that the author conducted a comparative analysis from the perspective of both figures. The purpose of writing this article is to find the differences and similarities in the concept of reinforcement from a comparative analysis of Tuan Minal's thoughts on the torment of the grave with Albert Bandura's thoughts. This study uses a qualitative research method with a comparative analysis technique. The results of the study show that Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyah's thoughts on the torment of the grave have a similar concept in Albert Bandura's social learning theory, namely the torment of the grave as a form of reinforcement so that individuals do not repeat bad behavior. The difference lies in the aspects of the form of reinforcement, the form of change, the time of administration, behavioral patterns, the function of observation in modeling, model classification, and the success of reinforcement Keywords: Torture of the Grave; Tuan Minal; Albert Bandura.

Abstract

The leadership crisis in Indonesia has become an increasingly concerning issue, marked by increasing corruption, weak law enforcement, and declining public welfare. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature approach, reviewing various relevant literature and previous studies. The results of the research on Leadership in Indonesia are currently facing a crisis in the application of the core values of Islamic leadership, such as trust, justice, and social responsibility. Although Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of safeguarding the people's trust and acting fairly, widespread practices of corruption and injustice show that these values are often overlooked. In addition, the neglect of environmental sustainability and the rights of indigenous peoples reflects a lack of social responsibility from leaders, who are more concerned with short-term political and economic interests. Therefore, to achieve effective leadership and integrity, there needs to be a stronger effort to apply Islamic leadership principles in decision-making and resource management, for the welfare of the community and environmental sustainability

Abstract

Khadijah bint Khuwailiid (556–619 CE), a prominent Quraysh woman, was an extraordinary figure in Islamic history, renowned for her exceptional leadership. Born into a wealthy, charitable family that upheld high moral values, she inherited and led her family's business following her father's death. Khadijah managed international trade with integrity and fairness, demonstrating her leadership not only in business but also in her role as the wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As the Prophet’s foremost supporter during the early propagation of Islam, Khadijah provided unwavering moral, spiritual, and material support. She was the first person to embrace Islam, encouraging the Prophet during the initial challenges of his mission. Her humility, courage, and wisdom made her a role model for Muslim women. Khadijah's leadership legacy remains relevant today, inspiring values of courage, independence, and dedication. She played a pivotal role in the development of Islam and set an example of how women can lead in various spheres of life. Her passing in the tenth year of prophethood left a profound impact, solidifying her role as "Ummul Mu'minin" (Mother of the Believers) and a cornerstone in establishing the foundations of Islamic civilization.

Abstract

Studi ini meneliti cara item spesifik budaya (CSI) diterjemahkan dalam buku Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone dan versi bahasa Indonesianya, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
