Abstract

Nursing services are a crucial part of health services in order to achieve optimal health status in every individual, family and community. Lack of nurse competence in mental health services will have an impact on the quality of mental health services. This study aims to determine the relationship between the characteristics and competence of nurses in serving patients with mental health disorders at Primary Health Care. The research design used was a cross-sectional study. The subject of this study was the nurse in charge of the mental health program at each Primary Health Care in Makassar City which was carried out from May to October 2022. A total of 24 Primary Health Care in the Makassar City area so that by applying total sampling, the number of participants or research subjects was 24 people. The results showed that 58.3% of them were competent nurses (novice-expert range), and all variables or subject characteristics showed no relationship with the level of competence of nurses in charge of mental health programs at Primary Health Care. Subjects who fall into the category of competent nurses have attended mental health training, seminars, and have more than 5 years of work experience. To increase the validity of the research data, the number of subjects must be increased, including further research on the influence of other characteristic variables on nurse competence, some of which can be cultural background, institution, or even clustering of the area where nurses work.

Abstract

Language development assessment tools for early childhood currently often refer to the Developmental Milestones Standards for Children (STPPA), based on core competencies and basics in the 2013 Early Childhood Education curriculum.  These standards are used as references for development to ensure age-appropriate play activities for children. However, language development assessment tools for broader use still require further development to effectively identify children's language development.  The aim of this study was to develop a language development assessment tool for early childhood, focusing on phonetics, semantics, and syntax according to Otto's theory (2015), to enable early detection of language delays in children.  The researchers conducted three stages, including tool development, validation by experts, and testing on a limited sample.  Although the tool was validated by five professors with Aiken's V scores > 0.8 and an overall reliability of 0.739, the semantic aspect was found to be unreliable (Cronbach Alpha < 0.7). Therefore, while the Early Language Detection Tool (ADLT) is considered valid and reliable, it still requires further adjustment to better suit the context of early childhood.

Abstract

Abstract: The implementation of Enterprise Architecture (EA) in Banjarmasin city's tourism sector is essential to improve the effectiveness of information provided to tourists accessing electronic-based services. Unfortunately, there are some crucial challenges to the fundamental requirements of EA in the tourism sector. There is still partial implementation, a lack of understanding of the technological advances used in Banjarmasin city tourism promotion, a lack of understanding of the implementation in an application architecture framework design and the technology to be used, not having good documentation in the design of application systems and slow services in tourism promotion. There is no certainty of normative standardization for system development operating procedures. This research aims to design the Zachman Framework (ZF) Application architecture as an Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) methodology, to visualize spatial data. This application is designed to assist users in displaying spatial data in the form of interactive maps that can be accessed via the internet. The software development method used is the iterative and incremental method with the Zachman Framework approach to application design. Data was collected through surveys and interviews at the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports and Tourism (DISBUDPORAPAR) of Banjarmasin City, with the current number of tourism data being 55 tourist attractions. Abstract

This study examines the development and role of falak (Islamic astronomy) manuscripts in Southeast Asia within the context of Islamic historiography and the transmission of knowledge from the Middle East. Scholars from the archipelago studied falak in the Middle East before developing it in their homeland, producing repetitive works to facilitate public understanding. However, limited documentation and a lack of in-depth research hinder a comprehensive understanding of the scholars’ roles in the history of falak. This study explored alternative sources, such as local manuscripts, travel notes, and oral traditions, using a multidisciplinary approach that includes philology, history, and the sociology of knowledge. The method used in this research is the philological method, a scholarly approach used to analyze, assess, and interpret ancient or historical texts, particularly in the context of manuscript studies. One of the research locations is the PEDIR Museum (Banda Aceh), the Manuscript Collection of Tarmidzi Abdul Hamid (Banda Aceh), and the Falak Center of Syaikh Tahir in Penang, Malaysia. The results show that falak science in Southeast Asia developed through networks of scholars connected to the Haramain and Egypt. The dissemination of falak manuscripts occurred through trade, missionary activity, and intellectual exchange, while adaptation to local culture preserved its relevance. The influence of the falak manuscripts in Southeast Asia includes strengthening religious authority, establishing local hisab-rukyat traditions, and playing a strategic role in harmonizing the Islamic calendar. This research confirms that the falak manuscripts are an intellectual heritage that reflects the synergy between science and the religious needs of Southeast Asian Muslim communities, while also serving as an important source for the study of the history of Islamic science in the region.
