Abstract

The urgency of implementing Islamic values-based counseling in schools is highly relevant in supporting the overall character development and academic achievement of students. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in the implementation of counseling at SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali during the 2023/2024 academic year. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis to collect data, which was then analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers play a strategic role through a structured yet informal approach, collaborating with counseling teachers to provide spiritual, moral, and academic support for students. Challenges such as time constraints, limited facilities, and students' level of openness were identified; however, overall, this counseling guidance was effective in enhancing student participation and trust. These findings enrich understanding of the implementation of religion-based counseling guidance and provide a foundation for developing more optimal counseling services in schools. Further research is recommended to explore more adaptive counseling models by leveraging technology and teacher training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration strategy between Student Affairs Management and the School Discipline Enforcement Team (PDS) through a point system in fostering student discipline compliance at SMA Negeri 1 Sragen and to identify implementation challenges. The study employed a qualitative approach with field research and a phenomenological perspective. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results indicate that the integration is implemented through the POAC framework with a transparent and systematic point system applied through programs such as morning greetings and sudden inspections. The system functions not only as a disciplinary control mechanism but also as an educational and humanistic character-building strategy. Challenges include limited supervision time, differing perceptions among educators, and students’ family backgrounds. Therefore, strengthening coordination and parental involvement is essential.

Abstract

General Background: The integration of digital technology in education has reshaped teaching methods, demanding adaptive and engaging strategies. Specific Background: In the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), conventional lecture-based methods often result in low student motivation and limited engagement. Knowledge Gap: Although gamification platforms like Quizizz have gained popularity, there is a lack of comprehensive studies on their effectiveness in integrated Islamic schools, particularly regarding not just motivation, but also participation and learning outcomes. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Quizizz platform in enhancing motivation, participation, and academic performance in PAI classes at SMPIT Insan Kamil Karanganyar. Results: Findings reveal that systematic implementation of Quizizz significantly increased student motivation and learning outcomes, with an average post-test score improvement of 17 points. Novelty: Unlike prior studies focusing solely on motivation or primary school contexts, this research uniquely triangulates student, teacher, and document perspectives within an integrated Islamic school, offering a multidimensional analysis. Implications: While effective, Quizizz must be complemented with other pedagogical strategies to promote deeper conceptual understanding and intrinsic motivation. This study underscores the importance of blending digital innovation with reflective pedagogy in religious education.Highlight : Increased Motivation: 78% of students experienced an increase in learning motivation through Quizizz's points and leaderboard features. Improved Learning Outcomes: Students' average score increased from 62 to 79 after the use of Quizizz. Need for Combination of Methods: Quizizz is effective, but deep understanding still needs other approaches such as discussions or case studies. Keywords : Quizizz, Islamic Religious Education, Learning Motivation, Gamification, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This This study aims to: (1) find out the implementation of behaviorism theory in cultivating positive behavior at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura.  (2) discover the inhibiting factors and supporting factors for implementing the theory of behaviorism in cultivating positive behavior at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura.  The method used is field research.  With a phenomenological approach and using observation data collection techniques, documentation and interviews. Data analysis carried out namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusions.  The findings show that: the application of the theory of behaviorism at Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Middle School is in the form of a stimulus given starting from habituation in the morning, application of smiles, greetings and salutation, as well as discipline exemplified by the teacher.  The theory of behaviorism is a theory that emphasizes changes in the behavior of an individual after getting a stimulus.  The use of behaviorism theory is quite efficient in cultivating positive behavior in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura.  This can be seen from the number of students who show a positive response in line with expectations.  Habituation that is done before learning in class begins is a form of stimulus that is carried out by the teacher.  With the stimuli that have been given to students, many students experience changes in behavior in a positive direction.  In addition to habituation at school, parental attention is also very influential on student behavior.  Student psychology is one of the important things that influence the learning process, so special attention is needed in providing stimulus.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of non-test evaluation in moral learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews with one of the teachers, and library research. The results showed that the implementation of non-test evaluations, such as observations of worship practices, congregational prayers, muroja’ah, and observations of student behavior, provided a comprehensive picture of students' moral development.
