Abstract

Abstract

Public complaints are needed so that the performance of an agency can be known whether it is running well or vice versa. Improving the quality of public services can be done through the quick resolution of complaints from service providers. Naive Bayes Classifier is an approach that refers to Bayes theorem by combining previous knowledge with new knowledge. So it is called a classification algorithm that is simple but has high accuracy. For this reason, this study will prove the ability of Naive Bayes to classify public complaints against BPJS Employment which contain information on services or social conditions in Pekanbaru City. There are 3 types of complaint classification that can be submitted, namely disbursement problems, BPJS Employment service problems and problems with social security administration. The mobile-based system is implemented with the programming language used, namely Java, while PHP is for administrators. Administrators in this system are employees who work in the BPJS Employment office. This system is tested using whitebox testing for unit testing and integration testing, blackbox testing for validation testing and usability testing. The results of this study are the classification system for public complaints at BPJS Employment using the mobile-based Naive Bayes algorithm. The classification accuracy using the Naïve Bayes algorithm is 0.9, the average precision is 0.93, the recall is 0.91, and the F1-score is 0.9.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is one of the major health problems in the world, especially in developing countries. The highest typhoid fever morbidity is found in children, especially school age children. Patients often self-medicate with antibiotics, the main antibiotic of choice for typhoid fever in Indonesia is chloramphenicol but in some places resistance to the chloramphenicol group has been reported. When writing, related literature is examined using search results from Google Scholar and PubMed - MEDLINE, two medical journal databases. articles from 2012 to 2019 that were published in English. This literature study contained a total of 8 papers. The article published in this literature review shows the presence of resistant isolates in the Salmonella thypi antibiotic susceptibility test in the main therapy given. In some cases, they have resistance to ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, amoxicillin, ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, augmentin, fluoroquinolones, azithromycin, and nalidixic acid. Some of the drugs mentioned as sensitive to S. Typhi are Cefixime, ceftriaxone, chloramphenicol, ofloxacin, cefepime, quinolones, and third generation cephalosporins.

Abstract

Antivirus is one of the main therapies for COVID-19. Patients with COVID-19 who need to be transferred to the ICU are those who are seriously ill to critically ill. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of antivirals in COVID-19 patients in the ICU room at Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin. This study was necessary because no antiviral has been proven effective and specific yet for COVID-19 therapy, the high rate of spread of COVID-19 over the last two years, the large number of cases requiring ICU care, the risk of using antivirals in COVID-19 patients who have certain comorbidities, and this study had never been done before. This study used a descriptive observational study design with ICU patients aged >18 years who were given COVID-19 antiviral therapy with complete electronic data records and/or medical records in the 2020-2021 period. This study found 59 subjects with antivirals used included remdesevir (52.54%), lopinavir+ritonavir (22.03%), favipiravir (15.25%), and oseltamivir (10.16%). Most of the patients were 46-65 years and used remdesevir (50%). Based on gender, both male and female patients used remdesevir (52.54%) as the antiviral. The most common comorbidities were hypertension with remdesevir (42.30%). Based on the duration of hospitalization, the longest duration of hospitalization was remdesevir with an average of 8.74 days.

Abstract

The account of Hospital Associated Infections (HAIs) remains high in Indonesia and worldwide. Cross-transmission can occur through contaminated healthworker hand, including residents. Hand hygiene is considered one of HAIs prevention control. This study sought to know hand hygiene compliance among Ulin Hospital’s residents based on gender and specialty. The observation was to checked on six steps standard procedure and five moments of hand hygiene. This observational descriptive study was conducted among internal medicine and surgery residents during October to November 2022. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling method. The result showed that hand hygiene compliance was 35%. Moreover, 38,1% residents adhered to 6 standard steps. Hand hygiene compliance between male 50% and female 20%; internal medicine 35% and surgery 34%. Compliance of each five moments hand hygiene was before aseptic 100%, after body fluid exposure 100%, before touching patient 38,1%, after touching patient 38,1%, and after touching patient surroundings 7,14%. Thus, the study concluded that male hand hygiene compliance was higher than female; internal medicine was higher than surgery. The highest compliance were before aseptic and after body fluid exposure. The present study emphasize the need for improving hand hygiene compliance among residents.

Abstract

COVID-19 is an infectious disease which become a pandemic worldwide. Pregnant women are a vulnerable group infected with COVID-19. Ferritin is a marker of increased inflammation associated with the severity of COVID-19. Pregnant women with COVID-19 have a higher mortality than pregnant women without COVID-19. Low ferritin levels during 28-30 weeks of gestation are associated with a low incidence of preeclampsia. This study aims to determine whether there are significant feritin level difference in pregnant women with COVID-19 without and with preeclampsia. This type of research is analytic observational using a cross-sectional study design with retrospective data collection. The results of the study obtained 603 subjects, but only 63 subjects met the inclusion criteria. Pregnant women with COVID-19 without preeclampsia as 36 subjects were randomized thus obtained 27 subjects were pregnant women with COVID-19 without preeclampsia and 27 subjects were pregnant women with COVID-19 accompanied by preeclampsia. Pregnant women with COVID-19 without preeclampsia had a median 66 ng/mL with a minimum value 1 ng/mL and a maximum value 951 ng/mL and pregnant women with COVID-19 accompanied by preeclampsia had a median 55 ng/mL with a minimum value 2 ng/mL and a maximum value 1.112 ng/mL. The conclusion of this study was that there was no significant feritin level difference in pregnant women with COVID-19 without and with preeclampsia with p=0.924.
