Abstract

This study examines the Implementation of Android-based digital learning media developed using iSpring Suite at MIN 3 Jember for IPAS learning in the fourth grade. The study aims to enhance students' understanding of abstract concepts through an interactive application integrating visual animations, quizzes, and curriculum-aligned learning materials. Despite the growing adoption of digital learning tools, there remains a gap in research on their effectiveness in improving conceptual understanding in elementary education. This study addresses that gap by evaluating the impact of an offline-accessible application designed to overcome challenges related to limited devices and unstable internet connections. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at MIN 3 Jember, an Islamic school in East Java. The subjects were 30 fourth-grade students and an IPAS teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and field studies. Observations focused on student interactions, learning media use, and responses. Interviews explored teachers' and students' experiences. Documentation included syllabi, lesson plans, and learning materials. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, involving data reduction, presentation, and conclusion verification through triangulation. The findings indicate that the application improves students' comprehension of abstract concepts like the water cycle while enhancing motivation and engagement. However, infrastructure limitations persist, necessitating better resources and teacher training. Overall, this study highlights the effectiveness of Android-based digital learning media in fostering engaging learning experiences and provides recommendations for educators and developers.

Abstract

The "All You Can Eat" (AYCE) business practice has become a popular business model among the public, especially in the culinary sector. However, this phenomenon raises a number of questions related to halalness and sustainability from an Islamic legal perspective. This research aims to analyze AYCE buying and selling practices through a review Maslahah al-Mursalah (benefits that are not directly explained in the text) as an approach in Islamic law. The method used is qualitative analysis with a normative approach that examines fiqh principles and maslahah theory to assess whether AYCE practices bring benefits to individuals and society. This research found that although AYCE can provide economic benefits for entrepreneurs and satisfaction for consumers, there are potential losses in the aspects of waste (israf), nutritional imbalances, and impacts on health that must be avoided. In perspective Maslahah al-Mursalah AYCE practices can be justified if the principles of welfare and sustainability are maintained, but there needs to be strict regulation to ensure that no party is harmed and that excessive consumption can be avoided. This research concludes that the application of principles Maslahah al-Mursalah In business, AYCE can potentially provide benefits as long as it is in accordance with the values of justice and balance in Islam.

Abstract

The movement to boycott pro-Israel products as a form of condemnation of Israel's aggression against Palestine demands the attention of all elements of society, government and religious leaders in various countries, including in Indonesia. This qualitative study with a content analysis approach aims to identify the construction of mass communication functions in the fatwa of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Number 83 of 2023 related to the boycott of pro-Israel products. The mass communication function theory constructed by Harold Lasswell became the foundation of the perspective. This study found the construction of mass communication functions in the MUI's fatwa literacy related to the boycott of pro-Israel products, including the function of environmental monitoring related to various events, such as Israeli aggression against Palestine which received financial assistance from various pro-Israel companies, and public questions from Muslims regarding the law of supporting the Palestinian cause. Then, the function of social correlation, such as the appeal for Muslims to do philanthropy for humanitarian solidarity for the struggle of the Palestinian people, and avoid using various pro-Israel products. Furthermore, the function of social transmission is in the form of MUI's role in disseminating Islamic legal norms that can guide Muslims in responding to the boycott movement of Israeli products. This study confirms the importance of constructing a holistic mass communication function involving the synergy of the roles of the community, religious leaders, and the government in disseminating fatwa literacy related to social religious problems, such as the fatwa related to the boycott of pro-Israel products. The focus, perspective and implications of the findings of this study are also novelty to the findings of previous studies which generally focus more on the formal legal aspects related to fatwas related to the boycott of pro-Israel products. However, this study does not examine the economic impact on Muslims in Indonesia of the MUI fatwa related to the boycott.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, 78.5% of students do not understand the material concepts taught by the teacher on geometry material. It is because the media used by the teacher in learning mathematics is not appropriate. Inappropriate media will make it difficult for students to understand the learning material, so that it has an impact on low student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Geoboard online in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the fourth-grade elementary school's Bangun Datar learning. This type of research uses the Mix method, namely data collection using qualitative and quantitative. Sampling using purposive sampling with a total of 28 students. The research design uses Explanatory Sequential Design. This study involves several variables as research categories, namely Student responses and Concept Understanding. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics. The study results are that the variable of response and Concept Understanding has a significant influence, with a value of sig <0.05, and on each dominant variable in the excellent category, so that online geoboard media affects students' understanding of the flat wake concept. Therefore, Geoboard online media can be used as an alternative learning that is fun and suiTablefor children in elementary school. Abstract

This study was conducted because of the low ability of students in writing skills (kitabah) in class VII of SMP Boarding School Daarul Barkah. Thus this study aims to obtain information about the effect of using the picture word inductive model (PWIM) strategy applied to Arabic language subjects, especially in writing learning, namely kitabah al-muwajjahah. The research methodology used is quantitative with quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. This study used two classes as research samples, namely class VII a as a control class with 15 students and class VII b as an experimental class, which numbered 16 students, with a total of 31 students. The sample used in this study used random sampling technique which was carried out randomly in the experimental class. The experimental results obtained and have been processed in the paired sample t-test show (sig < a) which is (.000 < 0.05) stating H⁰ is rejected, and Hª is accepted, indicating that student learning outcomes regarding kitabah skills using the PWIM strategy are higher than student learning outcomes using conventional learning. The conclusion of this study is that the PWIM strategy applied to Arabic language learning, especially for learning kitabah al-muwajjah, has a significant effect seen from the increase in post-test scores after the use of the PWIM strategy.

Abstract

The environmental crisis has been a problem for a long time, in fact environmental degradation is getting worse from year to year. One solution to minimize environmental damage is green waqf. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of green waqf in Indonesia, as well as analyze the reasons why green waqf can be a solution to environmental damage. This research falls into the category of library research or "library research". The approach taken is qualitative. Data sources are secondary sources, namely collecting, understanding and analyzing previous articles, news and books on relevant topics. The research results show that in Indonesia, the green waqf movement has not been implemented very much. There are at least four activities that can be called green waqf, namely tamanu tree waqf, clean water source waqf, forest waqf, and mangrove tree waqf. Tamanu trees are beneficial for unproductive land, clean water can benefit the community and provide long-term access to life, waqf forests play a role in maintaining microclimate stability, preserving biodiversity, conserving air, and preventing natural disasters, while mangrove trees provide benefits for the environment coastline. The implication of this research is to create public awareness to maximize the potential of waqf, especially environmentally friendly waqf.
