Abstract

Introduction: Porphyromonas gingivalis is a Gram-negative anaerobic bacterium involved in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease that can destroy tooth tissue and cause tooth loss. Carrageenan is one of the natural ingredients that can be utilized as a medicinal and antibacterial plant. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of carrageenan gel mouthwash against Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria. Methods: Carrageenan extract was prepared and formulated into a mouthwash gel. The antibacterial activity of carrageenan gel mouthwash against Porphyromonas gingivalis was evaluated at concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, 2%, and 4%, as well as a positive control using chlorhexidine and a negative control using distilled water. This test was conducted using the disc paper diffusion method. Result: The 4% carrageenan gel mouthwash demonstrated a statistically significant antibacterial effect against Porphyromonas gingivalis (mean inhibition zone: 2.125 mm; p = 0.001). Lower concentrations (0.5 %, 1 %, and 2 %) showed no inhibitory activity. While the effect of the 4 % formulation was categorized as weak compared to chlorhexidine control, the results confirm its potential as an antimicrobial agent. Conclusion: The 4% carrageenan gel mouthwash demonstrated significant antibacterial activity against Porphyromonas gingivalis (p=0.001), indicating its potential as a bioactive agent in oral care. Abstract

Issues related to the regulation of digital governance from the perspective of the principles of efficiency and effectiveness of governance are very important to discuss because they require appropriate regulations so that the application of digital technology can improve the quality of public services and accelerate bureaucratic processes optimally. The research method used in this study is the normative juridical method, namely by combining the legislative approach and the conceptual approach. In the data collection stage, researchers collected primary legal materials such as laws, secondary legal materials in the form of journals or legal books, and tertiary legal materials such as legal encyclopedias and dictionaries. All collected legal data and information were then analyzed using qualitative analysis methods to gain a deep understanding of the issues studied. The results obtained are that the regulation of digital governance from the perspective of the principles of efficiency of governance is an effort to ensure faster, more transparent and effective administrative processes and public services by utilizing information technology. This also aims to reduce complicated bureaucracy and improve the quality of services to the public and the regulation of digital government administration from the perspective of the principle of effective governance is an effort to ensure that the implementation of information technology in public administration is able to increase transparency, efficiency, and accountability, while providing faster, easier and more targeted public services.

Abstract

The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) has become a crucial instrument in maintaining corporate sustainability in the era of globalization, including within the Islamic economic sector. This paper aims to analyze the transformation of conventional GCG principles into Islamic Corporate Governance (ICG) and its implementation in Islamic banking in Indonesia. GCG is generally based on five main principles: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness. However, in the Sharia context, corporate governance undergoes an expansion through a Tauhid and Shura-based approach, where accountability is not only directed toward stakeholders but also serves as a form of worship to Allah SWT (God-interest). The fundamental difference in ICG lies in the integration of Islamic values such as Shidiq, Tabligh, Amanah, and Fathonah, as well as the vital role of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) to ensure compliance with the fatwas of the Indonesian Council of Ulama. The study indicates that the implementation of ICG through Financial Services Authority regulations and the Sharia Banking Law enhances credibility, mitigates agency risks, and guarantees the rights of all parties based on social justice. This transformation proves that ICG is not merely an adoption of Western models (Anglo-Saxon or European), but a unique value system that combines market efficiency with religious moral principles to achieve long-term collective welfare.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the role of Arabic in early childhood within the context of millennial Madurese families in Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan Province. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to gain an in-depth understanding of parents’ experiences and practices in introducing and habituating the use of Arabic to early childhood. The primary data was obtained from five millennial Madurese parents who have early childhood in Kubu Raya Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques, supported by secondary data in the form of literature relevant to early childhood education, bilingualism, and Arabic language learning. The data collection process was carried out gradually and continuously throughout November 2025. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that millennial parents in Madura introduce Arabic to young children through various parenting strategies, such as integrating the language into daily activities, modelling behaviour, religious activities, and utilising digital media such as YouTube videos with parental guidance. Arabic is positioned not only as a tool for linguistic mastery but also as a medium for character formation and the internalisation of Islamic values. This study emphasises that the quality of interaction, consistency in parenting, and the family environment are key factors in the successful introduction of Arabic to early childhood.

Abstract

The increasing competitive demands on organizations in the era of globalization necessitate the availability of superior, intelligent, and highly motivated Human Resources (HR). In the context of local government, the Secretariat of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Kediri Regency plays a vital role as the facilitator for legislative, budgeting, and oversight functions. Therefore, the performance of its employees is exceedingly crucial and warrants investigation. This essential performance is presumed to be influenced by three main factors: the Work Plan, which serves as a strategic guide; Work Behavior, which reflects positive attitudes and actions in the workplace; and the level of employees' Organizational Commitment to the institution. This quantitative study aims to empirically examine and analyze how these three independent variables contribute to the employee performance at the Kediri Regency DPRD Secretariat, both simultaneously and partially. The research methodology employed is multiple regression analysis, with data collected through questionnaires administered to all employees. Based on the literature review, the proposed hypothesis suggests that the work plan, work behavior, and organizational commitment collectively and individually have a positive and significant influence on enhancing performance. The findings of this research are expected to provide academic contributions and practical recommendations for the leadership of the DPRD Secretariat to formulate policies focused on improving planning quality, cultivating an effective work culture, and strengthening employee loyalty and attachment.

Abstract

The increasing tendency among Muslim youth to delay marriage reflects a growing tension between the Qur’anic promise of divine sufficiency and the economic insecurity produced by contemporary neoliberal conditions. Existing studies tend to examine this issue either sociologically or exegetically, leaving limited attention to an integrated theological framework that addresses structural economic precarity. This study employs Fazlur Rahman’s Double Movement theory to reinterpret classical Qur’anic exegeses by reconstructing their original moral vision and contextualizing it within contemporary socioeconomic realities. The study finds that classical Islamic hermeneutics dissociate the legitimacy of marriage from material accumulation, emphasizing spiritual sufficiency and ethical responsibility over market-oriented financial standards. This article proposes a “responsive marital theology” that redefines qanāʿah (contentment) not as passive resignation, but as an active ethical framework for social resilience. By repositioning marriage as a collective social responsibility (farḍ kifāyah), the study offers a theological foundation for institutional and community-based interventions aimed at reducing structural barriers to marriage in contemporary Muslim societies. [Meningkatnya kecenderungan menunda pernikahan di kalangan pemuda Muslim mencerminkan ketegangan antara janji al-Qur’an tentang kecukupan ilahi dan ketidakamanan ekonomi yang dihasilkan oleh kondisi neoliberal kontemporer. Kajian-kajian sebelumnya cenderung membahas persoalan ini secara sosiologis atau eksegetis secara terpisah, sehingga masih terbatas perhatian terhadap kerangka teologis integratif yang mampu menjelaskan problem ketidakpastian ekonomi struktural. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Double Movement Fazlur Rahman untuk menafsirkan kembali tafsir-tafsir klasik al-Qur’an melalui rekonstruksi visi moral dasarnya dan kontekstualisasinya dalam realitas sosial-ekonomi kontemporer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hermeneutika Islam klasik memisahkan legitimasi pernikahan dari akumulasi material dengan menekankan kecukupan spiritual dan tanggung jawab etis di atas standar finansial yang berorientasi pasar. Artikel ini menawarkan konsep “teologi pernikahan responsif” yang mendefinisikan ulang qanā‘ah bukan sebagai bentuk kepasrahan pasif, melainkan sebagai kerangka etis aktif bagi ketahanan sosial. Dengan menempatkan kembali pernikahan sebagai tanggung jawab sosial kolektif (farḍ kifāyah), penelitian ini memberikan landasan teologis bagi intervensi institusional dan berbasis komunitas untuk mengurangi hambatan struktural terhadap pernikahan dalam masyarakat Muslim kontemporer.]

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the implementation of Pancasila values ​​with the Contextual Teaching Learning approach as an effort to grow the character of STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau students. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were the fourth semester students of the PJKR Study Program. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observations. Data analysis in this research was in the form of descriptive analysis. The results of the study, the careful character as the implementation of Pancasila values ​​in students through the CTL (Contextual Teaching Learning) approach is good, this can be seen from the criteria of character implementation in the range of 61-80%, the careful character has been implemented 70.31%. For creative characters is good enough, seen from the implementation criteria in the range of 41% -60%. The creative character has been implemented at 62.5%. Meanwhile the character of hard work is good, judging by the implementation criteria in the range of 61% -80%. The character of hard work has been implemented 62.5%. Then the character of curiosity in the range of 61% -80% is categorized as good, from the observation results have been implemented 70.31% by students. In conclusion, the implementation of Pancasila values ​​in STKIP PGRI students using the CTL (Contextual Teaching Learning) approach to grow student character has been well seen from various indicators that exist on various characters. Abstract

This study is based on the presence of spirit (ghirah) to return to Islamic teachings among Muslim students in Riau after the 212. This study shows that: First, the ulama who has the same understanding with students is Habbib Rizieq Shihab. Second, the idea about Khilafah Islamiyah and the implementation of syari’ah or Islamis law is still dominant. Third, there is an idea that killing is a part of jihad. Fourth, the consciousness about differences is still low. Based on this finding, the radical potential which is high among students is basically disquieting. Furthermore, the basis of this understanding is affected by the dakwah concept of some extra campus organizations and their ideological organization.

Abstract

The article investigates the digital contestation of al-Walā’ wa al-Barā’ (loyalty and disavowal) by Indonesian Salafi networks, focusing on YouTube channel of Rodja TV. This qualitative study employs Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine selected da‘wah (lecture) videos on Rodja TV’s YouTube channel through three analytical dimensions: textual analysis, discursive practice, and sociocultural practice. The study demonstrates how digital platforms transform complex Islamic theology into a rigid, binary ideological instrument. The findings reveal that digital exegesis systematically simplifies authoritative tafsīr (exegesis), leveraging pejorative labeling and algorithmic enclaves to construct an exclusive identity while marginalizing the “others”. By contrasting these digital narratives with the maqāṣidī (objectives) interpretations of Ibn Āshūr and Wahbah al-Zuḥaylī, this study reveals a profound deculturation and mediatization of religion. This article contributes to Islamic studies and digital sociology by illuminating how online Salafi discourse facilitates “cognitive radicalization” and affective polarization, threatening multiculturalism in a democratic society. Ultimately, it underscores the critical need to disseminate maqāsidī (objective)-oriented counter-narratives to dismantle the exclusivist echo chamber and restore religion’s role in fostering inclusive social cohesion.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the sub-sector of the manufacturing industry that can be prioritized for development in Mimika Regency. In order to achieve these objectives, this research uses descriptive research methods. The data used in this study include GRDP data by business field based on 2010 constant prices in Mimika Regency and Papua Province during the 2016-2020 period which was collected through documentation techniques. To answer the formulation of this research problem, a combination of Klassen Typology and Location Quotient analysis is used. A sub-sector of the manufacturing industry in Mimika Regency is classified as a sub-sector that can be prioritized for its development as a driver of economic growth. The results of this study indicate that the sub-sector of the Textile and Apparel Industry, the sub-sector of the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Traditional Medicine Industry, and the sub-sector of the Rubber Industry. Goods from Rubber and Plastics, sub-sector of Non-Metal Mining Goods Industry, Other Processing Industry sub-sector; Repair and installation of machinery and equipment services is a sub-sector of the manufacturing industry that can be prioritized for development in Mimika Regency
