Abstract

The aim of this study is to understand how the evaluation process of student disciplinary character education is conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Palembang. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study involved 8 informants, including the Principal, Vice Principal, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, and 3 parents. Data collection techniques employed include data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through triangulation, consisting of source triangulation, time triangulation, and technique triangulation. The results of the analysis show that the evaluation has gone well as expected. This is achieved through coordination involving all stakeholders, with plans and objectives set by the principal to all parties. Each stakeholder is required to work together and discuss in advance to ensure that coordination runs smoothly, both in learning and habituation. This coordination is carried out regularly every month. Furthermore, intracurricular implementation involves the application of disciplinary character values in all subjects, attendance recording, and habituation that associates disciplinary character in students. Supervision is carried out by monitoring teacher performance through daily observation and attendance, as well as by building a school culture that supports an environment that pays attention to the character of discipline.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the competence of the school principal in administrative services at MTs An-Nuur Palembang. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consist of 8 people, including the school principal, vice principal, teaching staff, administrative staff, students, and parents. The data collection techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is ensured through triangulation, which consists of source triangulation, time triangulation, and technique triangulation. Based on the results and discussion, it is evident that the competence of the school principal in administrative services at MTs An-Nuur Palembang has been well-executed, as seen from three main aspects. The first aspect is the analysis of the improvement of administrative services, where the principal plays a key role in managing administrative services by acting as both a leader and manager who directs and organizes all administrative activities. As a manager, the principal is responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes run efficiently and effectively. The evaluation of the principal's competence shows that an effective principal must be able to provide appropriate guidance and support to all staff, including administrative staff. The impact of improved administrative services indicates that enhancing the principal's competence includes gaining a deeper understanding of school administrative processes

Abstract

Stress and conflict cannot be separated because severe and prolonged Stress will occur, causing conflicts within and between individuals in the organization. Conflicts can occur in the relationship between the leader (manager) and subordinates due to the hierarchical nature of the relationship. Conflict at lower levels can be considered part of management that is expected to change significantly. But, emotions play a significant role if the conflict is severe and profound. It shows the weakness of the organization and is placed at a disadvantage. In this context, the organization's leader figure (manager) is vital in handling conflicts. The purpose of this article is to examine Stress and conflict in organizations.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this journal is to examine models of change in organizations and find out whether incremental models can be used as solutions for change and development. This article selects literature study research methods and some previous research sources, and this study concludes that organizations must meet the basic principles in decision-making, namely ethics, orientation, scope, authority, credibility, and reference. In this case, organizational decisions are taken using several paradigms, namely the classical paradigm, administrative paradigm, incremental paradigm, administrative-incremental paradigm, and contingency paradigm. This article emphasizes that changing the organization is certainly not easy, especially for organizations with many times and a thick tradition. Most organizations make changes only to the vision and mission but not to the individuals and mindsets of their members. Any change can positively or negatively impact the organization's internal and external environment. Of course, each organization member has a different mindset, and each individual must have different initial goals when first joining an organization. Therefore, a change must be flexible, effective, and accommodate all the wishes of organizational members, not just some groups.

Abstract

It is evidence that the literacy and reading proficiency for Indonesian students need to be enhanced. Therefore, the objective of this study is to enhance the reading proficiency and learning engagement of eleventh-grade students at SMA Persada Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2023/2024 through the implementation of the Preview, Question, Read, Summarize (PQRS) strategy. The research involved twenty-two students and followed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting phases within each research cycle. Notably, the progress in students' learning engagement is evident in the mean scores, with the first cycle averaging 35.32 and the second cycle averaging 38.50, indicating an improvement of 3.18 points. Additionally, there was a noteworthy enhancement in students' reading proficiency, illustrated by the mean scores for their learning activities: 58.52 in the first cycle and 70.45 in the second cycle, reflecting an improvement of 11.93 points. These findings affirm that the PQRS Strategy effectively enhances both students' reading ability and their engagement in learning activities. Therefore, it is important to recommend PQRS teaching strategy to be used in English class.Keywords: CAR, Reading Comprehension, PQRS (Preview, Question, Read, and Summarize) Strategy

Abstract

Pemimpin dalam sebuah organisasi adalah sosok paling penting karena merupakan sosok yang membawa kendali organisasi. Setiap pemimpin memiliki ciri khas yang tercermin dari perilaku yang disebut dengan gaya kepemimpinan. Dalam artikel ini penulis akan mengkaji mengenai gaya kepemimpinan dalam sebuah organisasi pendidikan. Bagaimana ciri dari berbagai jenis gaya kepemimpinan yang ada meliputi gaya kepemimpinan otokratis, demokratis, bebas (laizzes-faire), beriorentasi dan situasional. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penulisan studi kepustakaan, yang bersumber dari, artikel ilmiah, buku-buku yang membahas tentang gaya kepemimpinan dalam rentang waktu lima tahun terakhir agar hasil kajian lebih relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan wawasan terkait gaya kepemimpinan dalam organisasi yang mana gaya kepemimpinan bukanlah sumber mutlak keberhasilan kesuksesan namun dengan menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif akan membantu pemimpin dalam menghadapi berbagai situasi yang ada dalam organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of visualization strategy towards students' reading comprehension on narrative text. The writer used quantitative method and categorized the research as quasi experimental method. The population was 246 from 8 classes. The writer used Cluster Random Sampling Technique in taking the sample. There were 2 classes as a sample. X1 was an experiment class and X2 was a control class. The experiment class consisted of 32 students and control class consisted of 34 students. The main technique in measuring students’ reading comprehension was multiple choice which consisted of 40 items with 5 options a, b, c, d and e. The score of each item is 2,5 for correct answer. In calculating the data analysis, the writer used t-test formula. Based on the data analysis, the average score of experimental class was 81,94 and the average score of control class was 73,25 which means the average score of experimental class was higher than control class. The writer got that Ha was accepted. It was obtained that ttest = 3,73 and ttable 0,05 = 2,00 and 0,01 = 2,66 (3,73 > 2,00 < 2,66). It means that there was a significant influence of Visualization strategy towards students’ reading comprehension on narrative text at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in 2022/2023.

Abstract

Observasi ini ialah observasi quasi eksperimen bermaksud buat memahami pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester dua (genap), dengan jumlah pertemuan adalah 3 kali diluar dari pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Mengenai komuntitas oleh observasi ini ialah segenap peserta didik kelas VII SMPN Satap Kunyi. Kemudian cuplikan oleh investigasi ini ini ialah strata VII A selaku tingkat percobaan serta strata VII B selaku kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan informasi oleh investigasi ini digunakan pada pemberian pre-test (tes awal), pemberian angket, lalu post-test (tes akhir), lembar observasi aktivitas pendidik,serta lembar observasi kegiatans anak didik. Infromasi yang sudah dikumpul dijabarkan dengan memanfaatkan statistik deskriptif serta statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif memperlihatkan pada umumnya angka keahlian hubungan matematika strata percobaan senilai 83,24 serta rata-rata efikasi diri peesrta didik senilai 65,6 sedang rata-rata angka pada strata kontrol 70,08 serta rata-rata self-efficacy senilai 57,66 pada hasil penjabaran statistik inferensial memanfaatkan uji t bahwa nilai t hitungnya 4.004 dan t tabelnya sebesar 2.048 dengan signifikansi  0.05 sehingga  ditolak dan  diterima. Berlandaskan hasil observasi bahwa tampak antagonisme yang signifikan jarak keahlian bungan matematika sertaself-efficacy peserta didik oleh strata VII A selaku kelas percobaan yang dibimbing memakai model pembelajaran problem based learning serta kelas VII B selaku kelas kontrol yang dibimbing tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat pembahasan mengenai “ Pelaksanaan Rekrutmen Tenaga Kependidikan di SMA Bhakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan” Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan di SMA Bhakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan dan menganalisis faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan di SMA Bhakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif, sumber data dari data primer dan data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, kepala tata usaha dan guru. Teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan di SMA  Bhakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan berjalan dengan baik. Dilihat dari indikator pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan yaitu koordinasi, motivasi, komunikasi, dan pengarahan. Adapun faktor-faktor pendukung pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan di SMA Bakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan adalah faktor organisasi dalam kebijakan promosi dan kebiasaan pencari tenaga kerja, sedangkan faktor penghambat pelaksanaan rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan di SMA Bhakti Suci Jaya Tanjung Batu Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan adalah metode pelaksanaan penarikan dan kondisi tenaga kerja.

Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Perencanaan Pengadaan Sarana Dan Prasarana Pendidikan di SMP Negeri 44 Palembang”. Adapun Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perencanaan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di SMP Negeri 44 Palembang. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, sumber data dari data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan informan kepala sekolah, wakil sarana dan prasarana, staff tata usaha, dan guru. Teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di SMP Negeri 44 Palembang berjalan dengan baik dan sudah terlaksananya perencanaan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di SMP Negeri 44 Palembang memperhatikan indikator dari perencanaan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana yaitu menetapkan target atau tujuan, merumuskan keadaan saat ini, mengidentifikasi segala kemudahan dan hambatan, dan mengembangkan rencana. Adapun faktor pendukungnya yaitu sumber daya manusia, serta lingkungan. Adapun faktor penghambatnya yaitu keterbatasan dana jika dana tidak mencukupi untuk memenuhi pengadaan sarana dan prasarana.
