Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of teacher professionalism under Law No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers through a normative juridical approach, with the objective of identifying normative gaps between legal provisions and their practical enforcement. This research focuses on three critical dimensions of implementation: legal protection in disciplinary practices, regulatory inequality in retirement age between teachers and lecturers, and delays in professional certification through the Professional Teacher Education Program (PPG). The findings demonstrate that teacher professionalism is weakened by inconsistent legal protection against criminalization, structural inequity in retirement regulations, and persistent certification backlogs caused by institutional capacity and administrative barriers. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative normative analysis, which connects statutory provisions with documented legal cases, constitutional review processes, and longitudinal certification data. By systematically mapping these legal vulnerabilities, this study contributes to legal and educational scholarship by offering a structured framework for strengthening regulatory enforcement and institutional accountability in safeguarding teacher professionalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan prototipe Agrisentry Verminix sebagai solusi pengendalian hama ramah lingkungan berbasis energi surya di Desa Lengkong guna meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pestisida kimia. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei dan identifikasi masalah, perancangan alat, perakitan prototipe, sosialisasi dan pelatihan, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test terhadap 11 petani sebagai peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa alat Agrisentry Verminix mampu beroperasi secara mandiri menggunakan energi surya dengan durasi 8–12 jam per hari, serta efektif dalam mengusir hama melalui gelombang ultrasonik dan menarik serangga menggunakan sinar ultraviolet (UV). Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan petani secara signifikan setelah kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan, ditunjukkan oleh perubahan kategori pemahaman dari tidak tahu menjadi tahu dan sangat tahu. Simpulan pengabdian ini adalah bahwa Agrisentry Verminix merupakan inovasi teknologi yang efektif, efisien, dan ramah lingkungan dalam pengendalian hama serta berpotensi mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan, meskipun masih diperlukan pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan keberlanjutan penggunaannya di lapangan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the Language Assessment Literacy of English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers in English language learning at SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of three English teachers. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with students. The results showed that EFL teachers' Language Assessment Literacy was integrated into their daily teaching practices. Assessment was carried out simultaneously with the teaching process through informal strategies such as oral questions, observations, direct feedback, and learning tasks. Teachers' assessment practices are formative, with the aim of monitoring student understanding, helping teachers make learning decisions, and supporting the student learning process. Although teachers rarely use the term assessment theoretically, their practices demonstrate an implicit understanding of assessment principles, such as appropriateness of objectives, fairness, and relevance to learning. In addition, this study found that teachers' LAL is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include teaching experience and teachers' beliefs about the role of assessment in learning. External factors include limitations in language assessment training, administrative burdens, curriculum demands, and diversity in student characteristics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep operasi pecahan pada siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD Inpres Galangan Kapal 1. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi pecahan melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 22 siswa kelas V. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes pemahaman konsep, lembar observasi, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa, yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 61,32 pada siklus I menjadi 80,73 pada siklus II, serta peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal dari 22,73% menjadi 86,36%. Penerapan pendekatan RME melalui penggunaan konteks nyata, model konkret, dan diskusi kelompok terbukti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi pecahan siswa secara lebih bermakna.

Abstract

Live streaming, Brand image, Online customer review are variables that have a big influence on purchasing decisions. Therefore, the researcher conducted a test using the multiple linear regression analysis method to obtain data information on how much influence. This research was conducted to determine the magnitude of the influence on purchasing decisions simultaneously and partially. These variables are live streaming, brand image, online customer riview and purchasing decisions can be measured using a ratio with a sample size of 100 consumers who buy maspion products. The data for each variable will be processed by means of a classic assumption test, namely normality, autocorrelation, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests so that there is no bias and can be used in good regression analysis. Furthermore, researchers want to assess how much influence both simultaneously and partially is processed using multiple linear regression analysis using a computer application, namely the SPSS 23.0 application. After the researcher tests the data that has been collected, the results of the test are that the live streaming variable and brand image have a positive and significant effect, while the online customer review variable has a negative and insignificant effect on the purchasing decision variable.

Abstract

Difficulties in determining I’rab in modern Arabic texts are still frequently encountered in the learning process, particularly by MALDIS students. This is due to a lack of understanding in correctly applying the rules they have learned to the text. This study involved 30 students with the aim of analyzing the types of I’rab errors, identifying the most frequently misapplied rules, and determining the underlying causes. Additionally, this study implemented an instructional intervention to gradually reduce the error rate. The method used was qualitative descriptive with the listen-and-note technique. Pre-test results showed 368 errors (68.4%), primarily in the rules of idhafah, jar majrur, and fa’il. After the intervention, the number of errors in the post-test decreased to 170 (31.6%), indicating a significant improvement in the students’ proficiency. These findings underscore the importance of appropriate learning strategies in helping students understand I’rab. This study also contributes to the development of more effective and practical Arabic teaching methods. Further research is recommended to employ different methods and involve a broader sample of participants to ensure the results are more generalizable and applicable across various learning contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ruling on believing in zodiac signs from the perspective of the Qur’an through an analysis of Surah Al-An'am verse 76. In modern society, zodiac beliefs are not only used for entertainment but also as references for understanding personality, predicting fate, and making life decisions. This research employs a qualitative method with a thematic (maudhu’i) exegesis approach, supported by analyses of classical and contemporary tafsir literature. The examined verse illustrates the process of truth-seeking by Prophet Ibrahim, who observed a star as a supposed deity but rejected it due to its transient nature. This indicates that celestial bodies do not possess absolute authority over human life. The findings reveal that believing in zodiac signs as determinants of fate contradicts the principle of monotheism (tawhid) and may lead to shirk, as it attributes divine power to other than Allah. Therefore, believing in zodiac signs as determinants of destiny is not justified in Islamic teachings, although their use purely for entertainment without belief does not fall under the same ruling.

Abstract

Teachers are at the forefront of successful curriculum implementation and the achievement of educational goals. This study aims to analyze the importance of teacher professionalism in managing competency-based learning processes. The primary focus of the study lies in how teachers’ abilities to facilitate effective learning, foster student motivation, and integrate relevant learning media. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical analysis. The results indicate that the perfection of a curriculum holds no meaning without being supported by competent teachers. Teacher professionalism is not merely grounded in subject matter mastery but also in a calling, moral responsibility, commitment, and creativity. Educators who are aware of their role will demonstrate consistency in behavior and personality and possess a spirit of continuous learning (learning how to learn). In conclusion, the success of education depends heavily on the quality of educators who are capable of serving as role models and dynamic facilitators of learning. Awareness of professional responsibility drives teachers to continually enhance their capabilities to realize the ideal goals of education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' cognitive, affective, and conative responses to the use of modeling as scaffolding in EFL. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving two English teachers and six students in a junior high school. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student interviews, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that modeling as a supporter produces interrelated learning responses. Cognitively, modeling helps students grasp material more quickly, recognize language patterns, and generate examples independently. Affectively, modeling creates a comfortable learning atmosphere, reduces students' anxiety, and increases their confidence during the learning process. Conatively, modeling encourages students to take concrete actions, such as actively completing assignments, asking questions, participating in discussions, taking notes, and demonstrating a willingness to answer questions or perform in front of the class. These responses indicate that modeling not only supports students' understanding but also their emotional engagement and learning behaviors. The study concludes that modeling is an effective and holistic support strategy in EFL teaching, as it simultaneously influences students' cognitive understanding, emotional responses, and learning actions. These findings are expected to contribute to pedagogical practice and provide insights for teachers in implementing responsive support strategies in EFL classrooms.
