Abstract

This study aims to simultaneously analyze the influence of person-job fit and transformational leadership on employee performance, as well as examine how power distance acts as a moderating variable in this relationship. A quantitative approach with a causal method was used to test the cause-and-effect relationships between variables. The population of this research includes all 200 employees of Bakpia Pathok 25 Pathok Jaya, with a sample of 134 respondents selected through stratified sampling based on work divisions. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests), and hypothesis testing using T-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²) analysis. The results showed that person-job fit had a negative effect on performance, indicating that lower compatibility between individuals and their jobs leads to decreased employee performance. On the other hand, transformational leadership had a positive effect on performance, showing that a strong transformational leadership style can enhance employee performance. However, power distance as a moderating variable did not strengthen the effect of either person-job fit or transformational leadership on performance. Thus, although power distance plays a role in organizational dynamics, it does not serve as a decisive factor in reinforcing the relationship between leadership or job fit and employee performance. These findings have important implications for human resource management in creating an effective and adaptive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of democratic leadership style and organizational environment on employee performance in the study of the Yogyakarta Post Office which is one of the state-owned companies in the service sector. Research data were collected from 85 employees of the Yogyakarta Post Office through a questionnaire with a quantitative approach using the survey method. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression (SPSS). The results of the study showed that democratic leadership style and work environment have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This proves that proactive leadership and a supportive work environment are key factors in improving employee performance. Therefore, organizations need to focus on human resource development, increasing adaptability, providing recognition, and implementing performance evaluations in order to create a more productive work environment and improve employee morale and overall performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work climate, work discipline, and workload on employee job satisfaction at the Environmental and Forestry Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is quantitative with a sampling method, namely Nonprobability Sampling or saturated sampling technique at the Environmental and Forestry Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta as many as 76 respondents. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with data processing using SPSS 25 which was used as a data analysis tool. The results of the study showed that work climate had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, work discipline had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and workload had a positive and insignificant effect on job satisfaction. Then work climate, work discipline, and workload simultaneously influenced the job satisfaction of employees of the Environmental and Forestry Service of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Peningkatan kepuasan kerja karyawan menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas dan kinerja perusahaan. Berbagai faktor dapat memengaruhi tingkat kepuasan kerja, di antaranya lingkungan kerja, stres kerja, dan kompensasi yang diterima oleh karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja, stres kerja, dan kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada DM Baru RetailIndo Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi karyawan DM Baru Swalayan Bantul yang berjumlah 50 orang, yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel, sehingga penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sensus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kerja dan kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Sementara itu, stres kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan perlu menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman dan kondusif serta memberikan kompensasi yang layak guna meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze local wisdom values in each region in Indonesia that can be involved in education at Vocational High Schools, in order to increase the competitiveness of vocational high school graduates as human capital.Methodology – The research method employed in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on productive subject teachers in vocational high schools of East Java Province. The collection of research data employed an interview method, utilizing an interview guide instrument, and was conducted through focus group discussions based on the spectrum of vocational expertise. FGD involved three productive subject teachers, the principal, and stakeholders, totaling N = 176. The data analysis in the study employed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman.Findings – Diploma ranks highest as the minimum education standard required by various job vacancies, at 52.8%, followed by Vocational High School at 30%. The requirement for a Bachelor's degree is 8.5%, then High School at 7.5%, and finally, the minimum requirement for postgraduate studies is 1.4%. The less-than-optimal absorption of Vocational High School graduates into the job market, based on existing vacancies, indicates that the industrial world is not yet fully convinced of the value of Vocational High School graduates for several fields of expertise.Contribution – This study contributes to identifying human capital development strategies, summarized based on local wisdom practices, by implementing key features such as developing global skills, described in basic skills, continuous learning and improvement, knowledge creation and sharing, systematic change, fostering a learning culture, encouraging experimentation, and appreciating students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Person-Job Fit, Person-Organisational Fit, Organisational Culture, and Transformational Leadership Style on Organisational Commitment at the Gunungkidul Regency Trade Office. This study employs a quantitative approach through a survey. Data were collected using an online Google Form questionnaire distributed to 74 respondents via total sampling. Measurements were conducted using a 1-5 Likert scale. Statistical analysis was conducted using multiple regression with SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that individual-job fit, individual-organisational fit, and organisational climate significantly influence organisational commitment, while transformational leadership does not have a significant impact. These results differ from many other studies that often find that transformational leadership can make employees more loyal to the organisation. These findings confirm that individual fit with the job and organisation, as well as a strong organisational culture, play a crucial role in strengthening employee commitment. Therefore, improving alignment between individual characteristics and the work environment can enhance employee loyalty and commitment to the organisation. For the Gunungkidul Regency Trade Office, efforts to create a positive and harmonious work climate are an important strategy for enhancing organisational commitment among its employees.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of transactional and transformational leadership on organizational effectiveness, with organizational culture serving as a mediating variable, aiming to examine how leadership styles shape culture and subsequently impact effectiveness, particularly within public sector institutions. It offers a novel contribution by emphasizing the mediating role of organizational culture in the relationship between leadership styles and organizational effectiveness—an area that has been inconsistently addressed in previous research. By focusing on a governmental office (Office X), the study provides contextual insights into leadership dynamics in public administration. The findings reveal that transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational culture, which in turn enhances organizational effectiveness. In contrast, transformational leadership, while positively correlated with organizational effectiveness, does not significantly influence organizational culture directly. Furthermore, organizational culture significantly mediates the relationship between transactional leadership and organizational effectiveness, but this mediating role is not supported in the case of transformational leadership. The study concludes that transactional leadership is more effective within established organizational cultures, whereas transformational leadership is better suited to innovative and collaborative environments. Thus, organizational culture is crucial in enhancing leadership effectiveness, and future research should consider additional mediating factors such as employee motivation and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an melalui metode tahfiz bagi siswa SMP di Desa Batu Kuta, Kecamatan Narmada. Metode tahfiz dipilih karena kemampuannya untuk tidak hanya meningkatkan hafalan Al-Qur'an tetapi juga membentuk karakter siswa yang disiplin dan memiliki kedekatan spiritual dengan ajaran Islam. Namun, dalam penerapannya, terdapat berbagai kendala seperti perbedaan kemampuan hafalan, motivasi siswa yang beragam, dan keterbatasan tenaga pengajar yang kompeten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru tahfiz, siswa peserta program, dan pengelola lembaga pendidikan di Desa Batu Kuta. Data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif-kualitatif untuk menggambarkan kondisi aktual, strategi yang diterapkan, dan tantangan dalam pembelajaran tahfiz. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi pembelajaran Al-Qur'an melalui metode tahfiz dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa strategi, seperti penerapan muraja'ah secara konsisten, pendekatan individualisasi untuk menyesuaikan metode pengajaran dengan kemampuan siswa, dan pemanfaatan teknologi untuk memfasilitasi pengulangan hafalan di luar jam belajar. Meski demikian, tantangan seperti keterbatasan tenaga pengajar dan motivasi siswa yang fluktuatif masih memerlukan perhatian lebih. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa metode tahfiz dapat dioptimalkan dengan strategi-strategi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan kondisi lokal, yang pada akhirnya mampu meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan dan kedisiplinan siswa dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur'an. Optimalisasi ini berpotensi memberikan dampak positif yang berkelanjutan dalam pendidikan agama bagi siswa di Desa Batu Kuta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan pemahaman tauhid melalui kegiatan diskusi kelompok bagi remaja di Desa Setiling, Kecamatan Batukliang Utara, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan diskusi kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tauhid remaja, yang terlihat dari pemahaman konsep tauhid yang lebih komprehensif, partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi, serta perubahan sikap dan perilaku yang lebih sesuai dengan nilai-nilai keislaman. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan kegiatan ini meliputi metode pembelajaran yang interaktif, materi yang relevan dengan konteks peserta, peran fasilitator yang efektif, dan lingkungan yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa diskusi kelompok dapat menjadi metode alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tauhid dan membentuk generasi muda yang berakidah kuat. Abstract

The problem lies in the length of process, it is hard tomake, and a donut shape (circle-shaped cake and hollow in the middle) are not good made by the domestic industry that created manually (by hand). The purpose of the design and manufacture of plastic mold injection molding system for donuts is to speed up the processing of dough donut with easy and efficient way. Methods of design and manufacture of plastic molding dough donut capacity of 30 product/hour with injection system include: survey for dimensions of donuts on the market, determining the thermal expansion of the dough after frying for the determination of shrinkage in the dimensions of the mold, mold design on the top and bottom, the design of cooling systems, the design for ejection system for mold products, working drawings, machining components, assembly, testing, and the calculation of production costs. The results of the design and manufacture of plastic molding dough donut is a donut molds for parts of the top and bottom made of plastic material types of polypropylene (PP).
