Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze errors in ablution (wudhu) practices among middle-level Islamic students and to examine the factors contributing to these errors from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence. A qualitative descriptive case study design was used, with data collected through structured observations and semi-structured interviews based on the obligatory and recommended elements of ablution described in classical and contemporary fiqh literature. The findings show that most errors occurred in obligatory parts of ablution, especially incomplete washing of the elbows and insufficient wiping of the head. Students also frequently neglected recommended practices, such as inhaling water into the nose. These errors were mainly influenced by incorrect habits formed at an early age and limited individual supervision during practical learning. The study indicates that mistakes in obligatory elements may affect the validity of ritual worship. Therefore, learning of Islamic jurisprudence should place greater emphasis on practice-based instruction supported by closer supervision during ritual training.

Abstract

Kandidiasis adalah infeksi jamur yang disebabkan oleh Candida albicans, yang biasa ditemukan di air dan berpotensi mencemari fasilitas bersama seperti kamar mandi sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi dan mengidentifikasi Candida spp. dan Candida albicans pada sampel air yang diambil dari kamar mandi Madrasah Aliyah X. Metode penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif deskriptif, dan sampel air dikumpulkan secara aseptik dan dianalisis menggunakan metode isolasi dan pengujian tabung kuman di Laboratorium Biomedis-2 STIKes Surya Global. Dari tujuh sampel yang dikumpulkan, lima positif Candida spp. dan dua dikonfirmasi sebagai Candida albicans. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa air kamar mandi di lokasi yang diteliti terkontaminasi Candida spp., menimbulkan potensi risiko kesehatan bagi pengguna. Ini menyoroti pentingnya pendidikan sanitasi dan kebersihan rutin bagi siswa. Studi lebih lanjut direkomendasikan untuk mengeksplorasi langkah-langkah pencegahan dan strategi mitigasi risiko.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of Human Capital Management (HCM) in enhancing the professionalism of teachers based on Islamic spirituality in madrasahs. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. This study focuses on how HCM principles are applied in teacher management, including aspects of recruitment, competency development, performance appraisal, and the integration of Islamic spiritual values into the madrasah work culture. The results show that the application of HCM is still simple and administrative in nature. The teacher recruitment process emphasises moral aspects and Islamic commitment rather than professional competence, while teacher development programmes have not been implemented systematically and sustainably. Teacher performance assessments do not yet reflect strategic HCM principles, but the values of sincerity, responsibility, and religious awareness are key strengths in building work ethic, loyalty, and teacher professionalism. The integration of Islamic spirituality has been proven to strengthen teachers' character and create a work culture based on religious values. This study contributes to expanding the concept of Islamic Human Capital Management by adding the dimension of spiritual capital as an important foundation in human resource development in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of Islamic financial literacy of the people of Sangkanyu Mrebet Purbalingga Regency. This research uses descriptive quantitative analysis techniques. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from the results of field research by distributing questionnaires to the village community. Secondary data are obtained from documents and other sources related to research. Islamic financial literacy is the knowledge or understanding that individuals have of Islamic finance such as knowing Islamic financial products and services so that they can make financial decisions in accordance with Islamic principles. The results of this study indicate that the level of Islamic financial literacy of the people of Sangkanayu is 56.88% or it can be said that the level of Islamic financial literacy belongs to the low category (<60%).

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the subject of faith and morals in improving students' moral values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan with the formulation of the problem 1) how is the effectiveness of the Implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the subject of faith and morals in improving students' moral values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan Middle School. 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) Learning Method in the Subject of Faith and Morals in Improving Students' Moral Values ​​at the Nurul Ulum Karang Manggis Rombuh Palengaan Pamekasan Middle School? The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach where the research results obtained are in the form of descriptive data, the data sources of this study are the principal, teachers of the subject of aqidah and akhlak, and also students. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method by reducing data, presenting data, and verifying the data obtained. The results of the research that the researcher has done show that the implementation of the value clarification technique method is effective because during the subject of faith and morals using this method, students are seen to be active in expressing their opinions politely, have a respectful attitude when their friends express their opinions and discuss and an honest attitude that they have when clarifying moral values ​​that are in accordance with the values ​​they have in everyday life. The supporting factors for the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) method are the existence of teachers who have broad insight and have good moral values ​​because in the subject of faith and morals, it contains both commendable and reprehensible behavior, so if the teacher has an exemplary nature, it will be a good reflection as well, such as the teacher never plays favorites against those who have opinions and respects every opinion they express and the existence of adequate media also supports the effectiveness of the application of the method. The inhibiting factors are the lack of understanding of students regarding the importance of moral values ​​so that there are still some children who do not listen, busy themselves during learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Group Investigation (GI) strategy in improving students' Arabic writing skills (mahārah al-kitābah), specifically the accuracy of using independent pronouns (ḍamīr munfaṣil) with present tense verbs (fi'l muḍāri') at MAN 2 Pandeglang. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 31 students of class X-1. Data were collected through observation, written tests, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean scores and classical mastery percentages, while qualitative data were analyzed through descriptive narratives of the learning process. The results showed that the use of the GI strategy significantly improved students' writing skills. The average class score increased from 59.35 in the pre-cycle stage to 71.74 in the first cycle, and further to 78.58 in the second cycle. Classical learning mastery increased from 19.35% to 54.84%, and then reached 90.32% in the second cycle, exceeding the Minimum Mastery Criterion (75) and the research performance indicator (80%). Student learning activity also increased from 77.02% (good category) in the first cycle to 91.94% (very good category) in the second cycle. The improvement was attributed to the integration of cooperative learning principles (positive interdependence, face-to-face interaction, individual accountability) and refinements made in the second cycle (smaller groups of three students, increased teacher guidance, more complex writing tasks). This study concludes that the Group Investigation strategy is effective in improving the accuracy of ḍamīr munfaṣil with fi'l muḍāri' in Arabic writing skills, bridging the gap between theoretical mastery and practical application through active, collaborative, student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of Muslim identity in Zohran Mamdani's political communication in the United States by analyzing how lexical choices shape meaning in multicultural political spaces. Previous studies show that Islamophobia and post-9/11 narratives continue to marginalize Muslim identities, yet little attention is given to how Muslim political figures construct their identities through political communication, highlighting the urgency of this study. The purpose of this research is to explain how lexical choice and narrative structures are used to frame Muslim identity as an equal and legitimate entity. This study uses a qualitative approach, utilizing Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis to understand identity negotiations in political communication discourse, with the concept of hybrid identity as its basis. The methodology involves a three-dimensional analysis: textual level, discursive practices, and social practices. The dataset consisted of five public communication materials including victory speeches, media interviews, and podcast appearances. The findings show that Zohran Mamdani constructs a hybrid Muslim identity through strategic use of linguistic features which reposition Muslims as active moral and political agents. His discourse adapts across communication platforms while maintaining ideological consistency, and actively engages with broader socio-political issues such as Islamophobia, minority representation, and national belonging. These findings contribute to the broader field of critical discourse studies by demonstrating how linguistic strategies are used to negotiate identity, power, and social positioning. This study also offers practical implications for political communication, suggesting that inclusive and strategically constructed discourse can challenge Islamophobic narratives and foster more equitable representation of minority groups.

Abstract

This study focuses on a morphological analysis of public service advertisements (PSAs) in the health sector. The selection of morphological forms influences the construction of persuasive messages in PSAs. Accordingly, this study aims to examine morphological forms along with their meanings, both morphologically and syntactically, as constituents of the grammatical structure of PSA language containing persuasive elements. In addition, this study seeks to describe the relationship between morphological forms and persuasion in health-related PSAs.This research is categorized as a qualitative descriptive study employing a case study approach. The data consist of morphological forms derived from public service advertisements uploaded by the Health Office of Bangkalan Regency through its official account, @Dinkesbangkalan. Data were collected using documentation techniques and subsequently analyzed using the distributional method. The findings reveal four characteristics of morphological structures in PSAs as constituents of persuasive language. First, the morphological process identified is limited to affixation. Second, the types of affixation include prefixes (peN-, meN-, ber-), confixes (ke-an, peN-an, meN-i), and suffixes (-kan, -i, -an). Third, the resulting morphological forms occupy core syntactic functions, namely Subject and Predicate. Fourth, affixation functions as a marker of instruction or direct persuasion and supports the clarity of commands. In conclusion, the morphological forms found in PSAs are exclusively derived from affixation, functioning both as core elements of sentence structure and as markers of persuasion.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of inclusion and differentiated learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a response to student diversity at MAN 3 Sukabumi. Islamic education in madrasahs often relies on rigid standardization, which risks neglecting students’ diverse learning needs, readiness levels, and backgrounds. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were collected through participatory classroom observations, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, and document analysis of lesson plans and assessment instruments. The findings indicate that inclusion at MAN 3 Sukabumi is not merely a technical arrangement but represents a paradigm shift in teachers’ perspectives toward diversity as a pedagogical asset and a reflection of Islamic justice (‘adalah). Differentiation in content, process, and product enables proportional access to religious knowledge and values for students with varying abilities. However, challenges remain, particularly related to large class sizes and administrative demands. This study concludes that strengthening teachers’ capacity in differentiated instructional design is essential for developing inclusive, humane, and equitable Islamic education in madrasahs.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter disiplin peserta didik kelas V. Dengan mengunakan muatan pembelajaran matematika dalam pembelajaran Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah sudi kasus.Penelitian ini bertujuan memusatkan perhatian pada sebuah fenomena atau kejadian. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang peserta didik kelas V .Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 66/IVKota Jambi, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data yang peneliti gunakan adalah teknik analisis data Miles & Huberman. Temuan Utama: Hasil dalam penelitian ini, bahwasanya tidak ada upaya khusus yang diberikan guru kepada karakter disiplin peserta didik. Peserta didik telah memiliki karakter disiplin yang baik. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil observasi yang telah peneliti lakukan. Peserta didik telah memenuhi setiap indikator-indikator dari karakter disiplin. Akan tetapi, karakter disiplin sangatlah dilatih dalam muatan pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu penting bagi guru, tetap menjaga dan meningkatkan kembali karakter disiplin dalam diri peserta didik melalui muatan pelajaran matematika. Keterbaruan Penelitian: Keterbaruan dalam penelitian ini adalah menemukan bagaimana karakter disiplin peserta didik yang ada di kelas V C SD Negeri 66/IV Kota Jambi. Serta pada muatan pelajaran matematika di kelas.Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak pada hanya karakter disiplin saja serta hanya pada muatan pelajaran matematika.
