Abstract

The lifestyle of the digital era and high levels of activity means that society in general is increasingly developing and has undergone changes in making purchasing decisions by determining how to shop online to meet consumer needs. Technological advances have made Tokopedia, which provides various needs or requirements, a marketplace of choice in society. Electronic word of mouth, social media marketing and price are believed to be able to influence plans to purchase a product, resulting in purchasing decisions. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the influence of electronic word of mouth, social media marketing and price on Tokopedia marketplace purchasing decisions. The type of research used is quantitative. The sample method was non-probability sampling with purposive sampling, data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The sample used was 100 students who met the research criteria who had made purchases from the Tokopedia marketplace. The data collection method uses a questionnaire with likert scale. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire whose validity and reliability have been tested. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that partially, electronic word of mouth, social media marketing and price have a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions. The results of the Adjusted R Square value are shown to be 45.2%. Simultaneous results showed that the variables electronic word of mouth, social media marketing and price had a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the failure of the state to use its authority to ensure the fulfilment of religious freedom for all its citizens maximally and adequately because, in practice, the state sometimes takes refuge behind the slogan of neutrality when it sees the majority group committing violent practices against minority groups. This study uses a discourse analysis method with a phenomenological approach to understanding the meaning of various events and human interactions. Meanwhile, the data was collected through literature study, media study, and observation using content analysis and discourse analysis methods in processing the data. Then this research results in the finding that opening the state accommodation gap to the demands of the majority religious group will provide space for them to take advantage of the similarities in their religious ideology with state actors and then attempt to dictate state policy. The inability of the state to be neutral in solving the problems of its people, at the same time, has given rise to the impression that a handful of certain social classes have controlled the state. Even this research results also show that tendencies of intolerance and discrimination arise in the community.

Abstract

The rapid development of the telecommunications sector, especially the smartphone sector, has created fierce competition among different brands to win the hearts of consumers. This study aimed to determine the differences in brand associations between the two market leaders, Apple iPhone, and Samsung, among students of the Faculty of Economics of a private university in Jakarta. Data was collected through a survey of 100 respondents who have used or are currently using products from one of these brands. Data analysis results show a significant difference in brand associations between Apple iPhone and Samsung. The high t value (9.296 > 1.984) confirms that this difference is statistically significant. These results provide valuable information about how these two brands are perceived by students in the School of Economics, which can be used to improve branding and marketing strategies within a market. growing and more competitive. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of brand associations in the context of the rapidly evolving smartphone industry.

Abstract

The development of modernization is always changing, especially the culinary business has created intense competition to attract buying interest from consumers. This research aims to determine the influence of social media marketing, price and brand image on interest in buying. The sample obtained consisted of 100 respondents. The method used is quantitative by obtaining data from questionnaires via google from. This research uses a multiple linear regression analysis model to analyze the data. The respective research results show that social media marketing has a positive and significant partial influence on interest in buying. Price partially has a significant negative influence on interest in buying. Brand image has a positive and significant partial influence on interest in buying. The results of social media marketing, price and brand image simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on interest in buying. The results of the R Square value are empirically proven to be 67.7% by the variables in this research.

Abstract

PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). GMF has a business unit consisting of comprehensive aircraft maintenance, such as commercial aircraft maintenance, military aircraft maintenance and industrial services. At this company, the author took part in practical work activities in the Corporate Communications & CSR unit which is under the auspices of the Corporate Secretary & Legal service which carries out the public relations function at GMF. In this report, the author will explain the application of 4 strategic approaches to company visits held for GMF stakeholders using interview, observation and literature study methods. The stakeholder aspects that will be explained from the perspective of Grunig's 4 Linkage Model are functional linkage, enabling linkage, normative linkage, and diffused linkage. PT GMF approaches stakeholders using 4 strategic approaches, namely assertive, defensive, collaborative and responsive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the media monitoring activities carried out by the Information Division at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Johor Bahru. These activities are crucial for understanding how information circulating in the media influences the image and policies of the KJRI, as well as identifying issues relevant to Indonesian citizens in Malaysia. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Information Division at KJRI Johor Bahru has implemented various effective strategies in media monitoring, including the use of digital tools to monitor various media platforms. KJRI Johor Bahru conducts Media Monitoring, referred to as Weekly Reports (Lapming), in accordance with the definition of media monitoring activities by Friedel and Lukman (2020). Meanwhile, media tracking at KJRI Johor Bahru involves monitoring various credible online news sources, and media clipping at KJRI Johor Bahru aims to organize news collected from online sources and social media.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mass media has an important role in the development of a company, public relations is required to be able to build good relations with the media. Mass media as a communication tool plays a role in forming a positive company brand image in the community. This is consistent with what Weber Shandwick Indonesia as a PR Consultant does in shaping his client's brand image. The research objective was to determine Weber Shandwick's media relations strategy in shaping his client's brand image. This research uses positivism paradigm, qualitative approach, and descriptive research type. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and literature study.The results of this study indicate that in the stage of understanding and serving the media, Weber Shandwick Indonesia provides news material and makes media classifications. At the reputation building stage, Weber Shandwick Indonesia prepares credible sources, conducts internal and external analysis, has operating standards, emphasizes the principles of honesty and professionalism. In preparing a copy of the information, the writing of the information script has elements of news value, inclusion of data, and meets the 5W+1H criteria according to journalistic rules. At the stage of cooperation in providing materials, Weber Shandwick Indonesia held various media relations activities, including media profiling, media round tables, press conferences, media visits, 101 interviews, media seeding, media trips, and media briefings. In providing verification facilities, Weber Shandwick Indonesia allows the media to conduct exclusive interviews, visit the company directly, and be ready to be contacted by journalists who want to confirm information. In building personal relationships, Weber Shandwick Indonesia takes two approaches, namely professional relationships and friendship relationships. ABSTRAK Media massa memiliki peranan penting dalam perkembangan sebuah perusahaan, sehingga public relations dituntut untuk dapat membangun hubungan yang baik dengan media. Media massa sebagai alat komunikasi berperan dalam membentuk brand image perusahaan yang positif di masyarakat. Hal ini selaras dengan yang dilakukan Weber Shandwick Indonesia sebagai Konsultan PR dalam membentuk brand image kliennya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi media relations Weber Shandwick dalam membentuk brand image klien. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma positivisme, pendekatan kualitatif, dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam tahap memahami dan melayani media, Weber Shandwick Indonesia menyediakan materi pemberitaan dan membuat kalsifikasi media. Pada tahap membangun reputasi, Weber Shandwick Indonesia menyiapkan narasumber yang kredibel, melakukan analisis internal dan eksternal, memiliki standar operasi, menekankan prinsip kejujuran dan profesionalisme. Dalam menyiapkan salinan informasi, penulisan naskah informasi memiliki unsur-unsur nilai berita, penyertaan data-data, dan memenuhi kriteria 5W+1H sesuai kaidah-kaidah jurnalistik. Pada tahap kerjasama dalam penyediaan materi, Weber Shandwick Indonesia mengadakan berbagai aktivitas media relations, diantaranya media profiling, media round table, press conference, media visit, 101 interview, media seeding, media trip, dan media briefing. Dalam menyediakan fasilitas verifikasi, Weber Shandwick Indonesia mempersilahkan media untuk melakukan wawancara eksklusif, mendatangi secara langsung perusahaan, serta siap dihubungi wartawan yang hendak mengkonfirmasi informasi. Abstract

This study investigates the significance of feminism in promoting gender reform in the context of progressive Islam, using library research with a holistic literature analysis. Through careful review and comprehensive synthesis of related literature, the study aims to understand the evolution of the concept of feminism in progressive Islam as well as its impact on gender reform efforts. The results confirm that gender equality in progressive Islam can strengthen the feminist movement by providing a solid foundation for inclusive social change. The positive impact of the feminist movement in this context is evident through the changes that have taken place, especially in the empowerment of women and the increase in public awareness of gender issues. However, challenges, including resistance from conservative groups and solid social norms, suggest that gender reform is a long journey that requires sustained commitment and solid cooperation from various parties. In addition, the importance of the role of youth, inclusive education, supportive legal and policy changes, and active community participation are critical factors in achieving greater gender equality in a diverse Muslim community.

Abstract

Background. 21st century education emphasizes the importance of developing high-level thinking skills (HOTS) for students, including analysis, evaluation and synthesis skills. Seamless learning, which integrates technology and media, becomes relevant in this context because it creates a dynamic and connected learning experience. Purpose. This research aims to measure the increase in students’ critical thinking abilities through seamless learning using quasi-experimental methods. By adopting this approach, the research seeks to provide empirical evidence about the effectiveness of seamless learning in improving students’ critical thinking abilities. Method. This research methodology takes a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods. Data was collected from a school in West Sumatra, with research subjects being grade 7 students. Data collection was carried out through critical thinking ability test instruments before and after the learning period. Analysis was carried out using the t-test in SPSS to compare the two groups. Results. The results of the analysis showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups, with a greater increase in critical thinking ability scores in the experimental group. The resulting t value was 0.05, with a p value of less than 0.05, indicating that the difference between the two groups did not occur by chance. This confirms that seamless learning has a positive impact in improving students’ critical thinking abilities.   Conclusion. These findings highlight the success of seamless learning in improving students’ critical thinking abilities. However, this study has limitations, such as the relatively small sample size and limited duration of the intervention. Further research with larger sample sizes is recommended to deepen this understanding.
