Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of visionary leadership exercised by the Chairperson of the Sasmita Jaya Foundation in the management of Universitas Pamulang, particularly in terms of visionary leadership characteristics, forms of support and challenges, as well as leadership experiences encompassing feelings, beliefs, and perceptions. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving key informants consisting of the Foundation Chairperson, the Rector, and Vice Rectors, as well as supporting informants including senior lecturers, deans, and heads of institutional units. The findings indicate that the leadership of the Foundation Chairperson reflects key characteristics of visionary leadership, including vision formulation through the development of a long-term vision oriented toward upholding educational integrity and the Tridharma of higher education; vision communication through consistent dissemination of the vision to all stakeholders; commitment to vision as reflected in the consistency of strategic policies; collaboration and empowerment through the active involvement of academic members and external partners; strategic responsiveness and innovation in responding to institutional dynamics through programmatic initiatives and digital development; and value-driven leadership grounded in humanistic and religious values. Support for visionary leadership is developed through participatory mechanisms, including the alignment of strategic policies and programs, active engagement of the academic community, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The challenges identified include intergenerational differences as internal challenges and government regulations as external challenges. Furthermore, the findings reveal that the leadership experience of the Foundation Chairperson is characterized by courage, confidence, and high awareness; a strong belief in achieving the institutional vision through an optimistic attitude while upholding educational integrity and humanistic and religious values; and a self-perception as a responsive and innovative leader who acts as a reformer while maintaining continuity with the founder’s values.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (BMI) in Hong Kong, particularly those working in the domestic sector, face multidimensional challenges regarding work-life balance (WLB) and occupational health. Observations at the International Indonesia School Hong Kong (IISHK) reveal that many workers endure excessive working hours, reaching up to 21 hours per day, compounded by a lack of private space and social isolation. These conditions lead to severe physical and psychological exhaustion. This community service activity aims to introduce simple technological innovations as a solution to empower migrant workers. The method employed was a participatory workshop via Zoom Meeting, focusing on digital literacy for health management and legal advocacy. The results showed a significant shift in participants' behavior; they began utilizing health tracking applications and digital reminders to manage rest periods effectively. Furthermore, the program successfully established a digital peer-support system, which reduced feelings of isolation and increased workers' self-confidence in negotiating their rights. Technology, in this context, serves not only as a communication tool but as a vital instrument for achieving WLB and ensuring the well-being of migrant workers.

Abstract

This article aims to learn how to conduct an adequate evaluation using approaches based on Islamic philosophy. Because inconsistencies in the implementation of educational assessments can lead to less than optimal results after inspection, this requires appropriate methods for the full review. The author made this article with a library approach, collecting materials from library books, research reports, newspapers, books, research reports, theses, dissertations, and scientific journals in print and non-print media. In Islamic education, the purpose of the evaluation is to make al-Insan al-Kamil human or a complete human person. Likewise, the purpose of education is to educate students to have faith, be pious, develop a religious mentality, master science, and apply what has been learned in school to adapt to the life of the wider community. Evaluation can also provide feedback to students about their achievements and the extent of their perspectives and knowledge during the learning process. Philosophy also educates people to think, have insight, and reason broadly to view an event or problem from various perspectives, with the result being the correct answer.

Abstract

Madrasah Diniyah Zumrotus Salamah since this educational institution emerged in the classical period, and its development is grappling with modernity while maintaining its identity as an Islamic educational institution which is a place for seeding Islamic and Javanese ideologies. This research focuses on social capital practised in Madrasah Diniyah Zumrotus Salamah as an institutional effort to instil Islamic and Javanese ideology. Using a qualitative and phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed by content analysis using an inductive approach and validity checking by data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that amid today's modernization, many individuals are far from morality. Through education at the Zumrotus Salamah Madrasah with the hybridization of the teachings of Religion and Javanese Custom, it is hoped that it can become a vessel for increasing self-religious piety. Islamic Dates and Dates of Perdikan Tawangsari Village, Adornment of body and clothing and Self-awareness of ana ing lathi, Study of Jawi culture is a social capital provided by Madrasah Diniyah Zumrotus Salamah to the students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the educational environment in the era of globalisation from the perspective of Islamic education philosophy, both the family, school, community and social media environment. This type of research is qualitative with a literature study design through the use of databases as an online-based journal article search engine; Databases such as Jstor, Sage, Proquest, Elsevier, Emerald Insight, Garuda and Google Scholars were used for the purposes of this research covering the period 2013 to the end of October 2023, using the keywords educational environment, globalisation era, Islamic perspective, and philosophy of education, a total of fifty articles were found. Data analysis was conducted by first collecting articles related to the topic of discussion, then limiting the number of articles according to the topic, then presenting the data, and finally making conclusions. The results of this study found that the role of the educational environment in the context of Islamic education has an increasingly deep relevance by observing the three main aspects of the educational environment, namely family, school, and society, in a global era like today, the educational environment lists new offers that are also included in the category of educational environments, namely social media. Where social media currently has a very significant influence on humans who are not limited by age, it can be a positive influence and also a negative influence, just how social media users direct themselves with experience from the three previous educational environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menawarkan wawasan tentang konsep pendidikan moral sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Ibn Miskawaih, dengan penekanan khusus pada berbagai sudut pandang terkait subjek ini. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana prinsip-prinsip pendidikan Ibn Miskawaih dapat diterapkan di zaman modern. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang filosofi pendidikan Ibn Miskawaih. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan, dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif yang melibatkan pengumpulan data dan informasi dari berbagai sumber pustaka, termasuk buku, artikel, dan jurnal, dengan fokus pada artikel dan jurnal. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Ibn Miskawaih menekankan pentingnya individu membersihkan hati agar sifat-sifat luhur dapat berkembang dalam diri mereka. Karyanya, Tahdzib al-Akhlak wa Tathir al-A'raq, tetap relevan hingga saat ini, karena selaras dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional, yaitu menumbuhkan generasi yang berkarakter nilai-nilai luhur.

Abstract

Teachers’ managerial competence plays a crucial role in ensuring effective and relevant learning, particularly in vocational education. Teachers are required not only to master subject matter but also to plan, manage, and evaluate learning through well-structured and contextual learning tools. This Community Service activity aimed to strengthen teachers’ managerial competence through training on the development of learning tools using a deep learning approach at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang Selatan. The implementation method included conceptual material delivery, practical training, and mentoring in designing learning tools. The deep learning approach was applied to encourage learning designs that emphasize deep understanding, critical and reflective thinking, and alignment with workplace demands. The results showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in developing more systematic, innovative, and adaptive learning tools aligned with 21st-century competencies. This activity contributed positively to strengthening teachers’ roles as learning managers and supporting the improvement of learning quality in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Quality of Work Life, organizational culture, and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) on teacher performance in Islamic boarding schools in South Tangerang City. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. The population consists of all active teachers in 2025, and the sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 106 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that Quality of Work Life, organizational culture, and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Organizational Citizenship Behaviour is the most dominant variable, followed by organizational culture and Quality of Work Life. These findings indicate that teacher performance is not only determined by technical competence, but also by the quality of work life, the strength of organizational values, and teachers’ voluntary behavior. Therefore, improving teacher performance requires a comprehensive approach through strengthening these three aspects in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Stable storage conditions are required in Rice Seed Storage to preserve seed quality and suppress fungal contamination, yet many warehouse ventilation systems still rely on inefficient on-off operation with limited responsiveness to changing temperature and humidity conditions. This study addresses the lack of integrated IoT-VFD control with field-validated energy and microclimate performance in seed warehouses. It proposes an IoT-based Ventilation Control architecture that combines ESP32, MQTT communication, and a Variable Frequency Drive to regulate a three-phase exhaust fan in both offline and online operating modes. The novelty of this work lies in integrating variable-speed control, real-time supervision, and field-based performance validation within a single seed warehouse deployment. The prototype was implemented in a 900 m3 warehouse at Politeknik Negeri Jember and evaluated through a 7-day field trial with continuous monitoring of temperature, humidity, and motor speed. The controlled system brought warehouse conditions closer to the intended storage setpoints and produced statistically significant improvements in both temperature and humidity (p < 0.001). Control performance was stable, with high target-hit accuracy and low RMSE, while energy testing showed lower electricity consumption than conventional non-VFD operation. Over an equivalent 2-hour operating period, energy use was reduced by 30.4%. The system also maintained 99.64% MQTT uptime, and no mold incidence was observed during controlled operation. These findings indicate that the proposed IoT-VFD architecture is a practical approach for improving microclimate stability, reducing energy use, and supporting fungus-preventive seed warehouse management.

Abstract

Perkembangan bisnis digital khususnya e-commerce mendorong persaingan yang semakin ketat sehingga perusahaan dituntut memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen. Marketplace Shopee sebagai salah satu platform terbesar di Indonesia menawarkan berbagai kemudahan, namun masih terdapat permasalahan terkait promosi, kualitas produk, dan harga yang dapat memengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh promosi, kualitas produk, dan harga baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap keputusan pembelian pada marketplace Shopee di Kecamatan Sutera, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 80 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, serta analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial promosi, kualitas produk, dan harga masing-masing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut juga memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen di marketplace Shopee. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik strategi promosi yang dilakukan, semakin tinggi kualitas produk yang ditawarkan, serta semakin sesuai harga dengan daya beli konsumen, maka akan meningkatkan keputusan pembelian. Kontribusi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi pelaku usaha dan pihak marketplace dalam merancang strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif, khususnya dalam meningkatkan daya tarik promosi, menjaga kualitas produk, serta menetapkan harga yang kompetitif guna meningkatkan keputusan pembelian konsumen. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang ingin mengkaji topik serupa di bidang pemasaran digital.
