Abstract

This research aimed to enhance students' morphology by using painting with Letters strategy for the secondary level. A literature review has been done in this study; the present study employed George's (2008) model of library research. As the main argument, the present study adopted the concept of differentiated instruction from Tomlinson (1999, 2001, 2014), Tomlinson and Imbeau (2010), and Tomlinson and Moon (2013) to answer the present study's research questions, supported by other relevant sources. The data were collected from the students of secondary level related to the study. The results showed that the characteristics of students' paintings can stimulate the enhancing of students' morphology and have a profound impact on art. The development of their vocabularies has important implications for the secondary level and certainly for secondary learners who are on the budding edge of propelling themselves from the task of learning to read into the realm of reading to learn. The student's paintings at the secondary level can increase and also improve the creativity of their learning process in morphology.

Abstract

Saliva is produced by the salivary glands in the oral cavity, with an average daily secretion of approximately 700 mL. The normal pH of saliva ranges from 6 to 7 and can be influenced by various stimuli, including taste. Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) is a medicinal plant that grows in both lowland and highland areas. Its leaves are commonly used in traditional medicine due to their content of bioactive compounds such as saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and triterpenoids. This study aimed to determine the effect of gargling with boiled binahong leaf solution on salivary pH among dental health students. A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted involving 44 participants selected using simple random sampling. Salivary pH was measured before and after gargling with the binahong leaf decoction. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed a significant increase in salivary pH after gargling with the binahong leaf solution (p = 0.000; p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest measurements. In conclusion, gargling with boiled binahong leaves has a significant effect on increasing salivary pH and may serve as a non-pharmacological alternative to support oral health.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital learning media to improve students' civic literacy at SMA Muhammadiyah Purbalingga. The development of this media is motivated by the growing digitalization in education, which demands innovative learning tools that are adaptable to technological advances while remaining focused on forming intelligent and virtuous citizens (good and thoughtful citizens). This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The focus of this study is on the analysis and development stages to produce a feasible and effective learning media product. The results indicate that integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the learning process has positive impacts, such as increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility in civic education. Moreover, the use of AI encourages students to think critically, creatively, and adaptively in responding to technological advancements within the context of citizenship education. However, potential adverse effects, including overdependence on technology and reduced critical thinking skills, must be anticipated by instilling digital ethics consistent with Islamic values. Therefore, the development of AI-based digital learning media is expected to serve as an innovative solution for effectively and ethically enhancing students’ civic literacy at SMA Muhammadiyah Purbalingga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang moderasi beragama dalam kerangka toleransi di Desa Pendreh. Kajian ini menegaskan hendaknya bersikap moderat dalam kerukunan umat beragama, karena hal ini akan menciptakan keharmonisan antar agama atau kepercayaan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, lokasi penelitian dilakukan di desa dan kecamatan Pendreh. Teweh Tengah, Kabupaten Barito Utara Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah.  dihuni beberapa agama yaitu hindu,islam Kristen, katolik. Toleransi beragama bukanlah tentang mengikuti keyakinan seseorang. Juga tidak bertukar keyakinan dengan kelompok agama yang berbeda. Toleransi di sini dipahami dalam pengertian mu’amalah (interaksi sosial), yaitu ada batasan-batasan umum yang boleh dilanggar atau tidak.Kata kunci: moderasi, toleransi, masyarakat

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of management standards at Mts an-nur Palangkaraya in improving the quality of Madrasah education. The objectives of this study include: To find out the standard management program planning, implementation of standard management programs, monitoring and evaluation of standard management programs at MTS An- nur Palangkaraya. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, as Moleong argues "qualitative research is in the form of words either written or spoken from people and observed behavior" while the research location is at MTS an-Nur Palangkaraya. research purposes, this study used interviews, participant observation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate (1) Management planning at an-nur madrasah has been carried out in accordance with government regulations and education management standards, namely starting with planning. The planning carried out by Mts Anur begins with analyzing the needs and where the direction of the madrasa will be taken in the future by formulating a vision, mission and goals. All of this is done by involving all components in the madrasa. (2) Implementation Implementation of the program begins with reviewing the KTSP curriculum, implementing teaching and learning activities, and implementing Teacher Quality Improvement at MTs Annur Palangka Raya. The implementation of improving the quality of Education Personnel is pursued by implementing a strategy of increasing the integration of improving the mental, moral and spiritual discipline of teachers, learning supervision, involving teachers in training activities, attending seminars and being active in the Palangka Raya City MGMP forum. dhuha prayer. The program to improve the quality of infrastructure at MTs Annur Palangka Raya was pursued by collaborating with the City and Provincial Ministry of Religion offices, Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, Palangka Raya City Government, Municipal and Provincial Education Offices, Collaboration with Parents of Students through Madrasah Committees, Approach with Management Foundations, Entrepreneurs, City, Provincial DPRD Members and members of the Republic of Indonesia DPR (3) Program monitoring and evaluation begins with programs developed in extra-curricular activities. This activity was carried out by developing extra-curricular activities which aim to provide opportunities for MTs Annur Palangka Raya students to develop and express themselves according to the skills and talents that students have. Abstract

Masalah gizi masyarakat secara global termasuk Indonesia tidak hanya berfokus pada kekurangan gizi kronik, namun juga kelebihan gizi (obesitas).  Prinsip perilaku pencegahan obesitas yaitu dengan mengatur keseimbangan energy. Perilaku tersebut dapat dilakukan apabila anak pernah mendapatkan informasi mencegah obesitas. Edukasi kesehatan dalam memodifikasi perubahan perilaku telah banyak dilakukan pada masyarakat umum, namun masih sangat kurang dilakukan pada kelompok marjinal seperti penyandang tunarungu (keterbatasan pendengaran). Salah satu proses edukasi yang cocok diterapkan kepada anak tunarungu adalah melalui media video, karena dapat digunakan untuk merangsang motorik anak penyandang tunarungu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memodifikasi perilaku pencegahan obesitas pada anak penyandang tunarungu di SLB-B Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasy experiment dengan rancangan Time series design. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan Purposive sampling. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan, yaitu pretest dan post test dengan kuesioner tentang niat, pengetahuan, sarana dan tindakan anak terhadap pencegahan obesitas. Teknik analisis data adalah analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji t dan Mc Nemar untuk melihat kelompok sebelum dan setelah intervensi dilakukan. Kelompok intervensi menggunakan video animasi berbahasa yang isyarat menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan responden (p> 0,05), tetapi memiliki pengaruh pada niat dan tindakan (p <0,05). Pada kelompok kontrol menggunakan leaflet menunjukkan pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan dan tindakan (p <0,05), tetapi tidak memiliki pengaruh pada niat responden.

Abstract

Abstrak: Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema Penyuluhan Cara Produksi Produk Olahan yang Baik (CPPOB) di Desa Batu Bolong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok Tani Batu Bolong Sejahtera yang beranggotakan 18 orang anggota. Anggota KT Batu Bolong Sejahtera kesehariannya menyadap air nira di hutan lalu mengolahnya menjadi gula merah tangkup. Sebelumnya, pada proses pengolahan air nira mitra menggunakan tungku berbahan bakar kayu dan dilakukan di luar ruangan sehingga higienitas produk menjadi kurang. Selain itu, produk masih dikemas seadanya, hanya menggunakan plastik kresek putih yang menjadikannya rentan kontaminasi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan soft dan hardskill mitra melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktik CPPOB yang sesuai dengan standar nasional, khususnya pada proses produksi gula merah tangkup. Pengetahuan terkait CPPOB sangat penting bagi pelaku usaha makanan dan minuman karena merupakan salah satu syarat diterbitkannya izin edar PIRT. Metode pengabdian ini menggunakan teknik Participatory Action Research, dimana mitra terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pengabdian. Pengukuran serapan pengetahuan peserta penyuluhan (mitra) dilakukan dengan pemberian pre dan postest. Berdasarkan hasil olah data diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebanyak 38% terkait materi seputar CPPOB. Simpulannya, mitra telah memahami prinsip CPPOB dan telah mempraktekkannya dalam proses produksi berikutnya.Abstract: A community service activity was carried out in Batu Bolong Village, Batu Layar Barat Subdistrict, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, with the theme of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Batu Bolong Sejahtera Farmer Group, a local organization that specializes in the collection of palm sap from within forest ecosystems and its subsequent processing into brown sugar. Previously, the partners utilized wood-fired stoves for the outdoor processing of palm sap, a practice that compromised product hygiene. Furthermore, the products' packaging method is substandard, utilizing solely white plastic bags, which renders them vulnerable to contamination. Therefore, the objective of this community service initiative was to educate the partners on the implementation of CPPOB in the production process of moulded brown sugar. It is imperative for food and beverage businesses to possess a comprehensive understanding of CPPOB, as it serves as a prerequisite for obtaining a PIRT distribution permit. This community service method employed the Participatory Action Research technique, in which partners were actively involved in the community service activities. The measurement of the knowledge absorption of the participants (partners) was carried out by administering pre- and post-tests. The findings of the data analysis demonstrated a 40% increase in the participants' knowledge related to CPPOB material. In summary, the partners have comprehended the tenets of CPPOB and have implemented them in subsequent production processes.

Abstract

This study examines the role of a school-based learning community in strengthening teachers’ competencies in educational technology integration in a public lower secondary school located in an urban, resource-constrained educational setting. The school is characterized by high teacher participation in collaborative professional development initiatives aimed at supporting digital transformation. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed to obtain a comprehensive understanding of how collaborative structures contribute to teacher competency development. Quantitative data were collected through a survey administered to 21 active teacher members of the learning community. Qualitative data were gathered through in-depth interviews and classroom observations and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that technology integration remains influenced by contextual constraints, including limited digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, workload pressures, and policy support challenges. The learning community operates as a Professional Learning Community (PLC), facilitating collaborative inquiry, reflective dialogue, peer support, and structured professional learning activities. Participation in the community appears to support the development of teachers’ competencies within the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, particularly in integrating technology with pedagogy and subject content.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is now one of the leading causes of adult disability, with negative effects on both individuals and families. Families have a responsibility to offer nursing care (family caregivers), which includes biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of care. The family's ability to care for stroke victims at home is a major factor in determining the family's role as carers in the work environment of the Community Health Center. The initial survey found post-stroke patients with immobilization disorders, lack of good care by the family, and no structured education program for families. The research aimed to determine the impact of education program for stroke (EPSTRO) on caregiver competency, encompassing knowledge, attitudes, and abilities in caring for individuals with stroke. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental approach with pre-and post-tests. 30 family carers who had experienced a stroke served as the study's sample. Instruments for collecting data on characteristics, knowledge, attitudes, and actions of caregivers were carried out using the modified Sirait questionnaire (2018). The Wilcoxon signed rank test and dependent t-test with p = 0.05 were used to evaluate the data. Results: According to analysis using the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistic, there is a difference in the median knowledge before and after treatment (p=0.0001 0.05), as well as the median skill level (p=0.0001 0.05). There was a difference in the average attitude before and after the treatment, according to the analysis's dependent t-test findings (p=0.0001, 0.05). Conclusions: The education provided by stroke programs significantly enhances caregiver competency.

Abstract

The results showed that the leadership style of the head of the room affected not only the executive nurses' performance but also the health service system as a whole. Based on the study's results, it is known that the leadership style used by the head of the room is a combination of democratic leadership followed by autocratic and participatory. The purpose of community service is to increase the head of the room's knowledge regarding applying an effective leadership style to improve the performance of implementing nurses in providing nursing services. The activity was carried out through lecture-based education talks with interactive communication by 12 nurse managers. This community service activity was carried out for one day by providing lectured-based talks starting from preparation, activity implementation, and activity evaluation. The benefit of this community service is an effort to improve and equip the knowledge of the head of the room with how to apply an effective leadership style to improve nurse performance and the quality of nursing service in the hospital. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge of the head of the room regarding effective leadership styles.
