Abstract

Religious moderation has become a strategic agenda in Indonesian education to strengthen social cohesion in pluralistic societies. At the primary education level, studies on religious moderation remain fragmented and require integrative synthesis. This study examines how religious moderation education is implemented in Indonesian elementary schools and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) through a Systematic Literature Review retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Elicit.ai. The analysis focuses on conceptualization, pedagogical implementation, and reported challenges and impacts. The findings indicate that religious moderation education at the SD/MI level is predominantly implemented through integrative and implicit practices rather than as a standalone curricular subject. Moderation values—such as justice, tolerance, inclusivity, and social harmony—are embedded across curricula, learning materials, pedagogical strategies, and school culture, with teachers functioning as key mediators of value internalization. While moderation-oriented education contributes to more inclusive school climates and positive student attitudes toward diversity, its implementation remains uneven due to limited teacher conceptual clarity, competing academic demands, and the growing influence of digital environments. This study contributes by articulating embedded moderation pedagogy as a conceptual framework for understanding religious moderation education in early schooling. The findings provide a concise reference for advancing research, policy development, and educational practice in religious and character education within pluralistic contexts.

Abstract

Usaha budidaya ikan seingkali menghadapi kendala kematian ikan saat perawatan awal, termasuk Kelompok Pembudidayaan Ikan “Mina Lestari”. Selain itu kelompok tersebut juga terkendala dalam manajemen usaha yang masih lemah. Untuk mengatasinya dikembangkan Smart Aquaculture System with IoT-Integrated Microbubble Technology dengan pengkondisian air untuk meningkatkan sintasan benih serta pelatihan dan pendampingan manajemen usaha. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan kematian benih yang disebabkan oleh oksigen, pH, dan kualitas air. Terdapat tiga tahapan yang dilakukan, yaitu identifikasi masalah, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah sistem Smart Aquaculture dilengkapi Pelampung Microbubble berbasis IoT dengan pengkondisian air yang berhasil meningkatkan sintasan benih hingga 95%, sehingga produktivitas usaha meningkat. Pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan pada aspek manajemen usaha juga menunjukkan hasil yang positif, di mana adminitras usaha telah tercatat lebih rapi dan tersruktur. Berbagai upaya yang dilakukan ini memberikan solusi nyata terhadap masalah yang dihadapi agar usaha dapat berkembang dan bertahan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana Manajemen Pengembangan Guru dan untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendukung dalam Manajemen Pengembangan Guru Di Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Huda Parit Surau Desa Jaya Bhakti Kecamatan Enok. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data tersebut dituangkan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu: Pertama: Langkah-langkah yang Kepala Madrasah sampaikan mencakup aspek evaluasi, perumusan target, komunikasi, dukungan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Melibatkan tim manajemen dan staf akademik dalam proses perumusan target, Kepala Madrasah memastikan adanya keterlibatan dan pemahaman kolektif terhadap tujuan strategis madrasah, kepala madrasah melakukan pelatihan itu secara mandiri yang di adakan sekolah tersebut sedangkan untuk pelatihan yang di adakan oleh pemerintah kabupaten itu di berikan kepada guru secara bergiliran agar semua merasa pelatihan dan pengembangan diri tersebut, selanjutnya yang berangkat itu menyampaikan kepada yang tidak berangkat bagaimana dan apa saja yang di sampaikan di pelatihan tersebut. Kedua, Faktor pendukung adalah Kebijakan yang jelas akan memberikan panduan dan kerangka kerja bagi semua pihak terkait dalam melaksanakan program pengembangan, Kolaborasi dan kerjasama dengan institusi pendidikan, lembaga pelatihan, dan komunitas profesional lainnya juga berperan penting dalam manajemen pengembangan guru, Evaluasi program pengembangan dan memberikan umpan balik kepada guru-guru adalah langkah yang kritis dalam meningkatkan efektivitas program tersebut. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah Pemanfaatan sumber daya eksternal yang kurang baik, Fleksibilitas dalam waktu yang kurang tepat, Pengembangan kebijakan dan prosedur yang kurang jelas, Peningkatan dukungan kepemimpinan yang kuran baik.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the structure of human personality according to Freud's psychoanalysis and how the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy regarding this concept. Descriptive-deductive approach based on the literature review was used to get all data. The results show that Freud's theory of personality underwent two stages of theoretical development; 1) the levels of human personality that were formulated before the 1920 (consciousness, pre-consciousness, unconsciousness) and 2) the structure of human personality which was formulated in 1923 (Id, Ego, Superego) to refine the previous theory. Freud's thought in line with the Islamic educational theory where human life in early childhood and its growing environment are important factors in personality formation. In Islamic education, the formation of the personality of students is centered on the internalization of good morals through purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs) to achieve a personality that is in harmony with the concept of a perfect human being (insan kamil).

Abstract

This research is driven by the phenomenon of dehumanization in contemporary education, which tends to overemphasize cognitive aspects, technical skills, and mechanical productivity for industrial needs, thereby neglecting the affective, spiritual, and social dimensions of students. Vocational schools (SMK) face a unique challenge in balancing industrial competence demands with the formation of noble character and social concern. SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul (MUSABA) seeks to address this by integrating Al-Ma’un theology as a foundation for humanizing education. The objectives of this research are to describe and analyze the implementation of Al-Ma’un values at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul, to interpret the practices of educational humanization at the school, and to examine the integrative model of Al-Ma’un values as a philosophical and operational basis for developing humanistic education. This study is qualitative research using a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Principal, ISMUBA teachers, and students, direct observation of school interactions and social activities, and documentation of school policies. Data analysis followed the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that: (1) The implementation of Al-Ma’un values at MUSABA is manifested through social concern (ta’awun), sincerity, and siding with the marginalized (mustad’afin), which are integrated into the school’s vision, mission, and organizational culture. (2) Educational humanization is practiced through inclusive policies, dialogic pedagogy, and a school environment that functions as a “second home” without violence or discrimination. (3) Al-Ma’un values serve as the basis for humanization by transforming the paradigm of students from “industrial objects” to “God’s mandates” (Amanah), realized through spiritual-humanist counseling and scholarship programs (Lazismu) to empower those in need. The conclusion of this research confirms that Al-Ma’un theology has successfully transformed vocational education at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul into an institution that produces graduates who are not only technically skilled but also possess strong social character and humanistic values.

Abstract

While inclusive tolerance education is frequently examined within formal academic institutions, research on non-formal religious communities as transformative agents remains scarce. Furthermore, Al-Faruqi’s epistemology is often discussed as an abstract philosophical framework with limited empirical application in grassroots social contexts. This study addresses this gap by theorizing a model of inclusive tolerance education through an exploration of the praxis of tawhid within the Santri Gobal Gabul community. Employing a field-based qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological design, data were gathered through participant observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with pesantren caretakers, religious counselors, santri, and interfaith community members. The findings reveal that the Santri Gobal Gabul community implements a grounded Islamic education model through the Ngopi (Ngolah Pikir) tradition, an epistemological process that bridges sacred texts with social reality. This practice manifests Al-Faruqi’s principles of Unity of Truth, Unity of Mankind, and Unity of Life, where tolerance is internalized through direct action (learning by doing), involving the transformation of the heart (fathul qulub) and openness of mind (fathul ‘aql). This study extends Al-Faruqi’s epistemology into lived community contexts, proposing a practice-based model of inclusive Islamic education that dismantles social hierarchies and fosters transformative social cohesion. This theoretical contribution offers a significant reference for developing contextual and responsive multicultural education to mitigate contemporary social polarization.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited understanding of Qur’anic literacy as merely a technical practice rather than a systematically managed institutional strategy in Islamic boarding schools. The research problem addressed in this study is how strategies to improve Qur’anic literacy skills are implemented at Pondok Pesantren Al-Amin Tarub Tegal. This study aims to describe and analyze these strategies within an institutional context. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that strategies for improving Qur’anic literacy are implemented through vision-based planning, gradual implementation (tadarruj) through structured habituation, and integrated evaluation combining academic and character aspects. These strategies are supported by a conducive religious environment and active involvement of all elements within the pesantren. In conclusion, improving Qur’anic literacy skills can be effectively achieved through well-planned, systematic, and value-based strategies, contributing to the development of students’ cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the role of local wisdom in realizing religious tolerance in Balun, Lamongan. Interviews were conducted with village leaders, leaders and youths of three religions and community representatives, totaling 10 informants selected purposively. All interviews were recorded and then transcripts of the interview results were afforded. Data analysis employed four stages: transcription, inventory, classification, and description. This study found that the Balun community succeeded in maintaining and strengthening religious tolerance. This strength is based on several local wisdoms, for example nyadran and prayer to the deceased, which are carried out together regardless of people religious background. This inclusive activity strengthens a sense of solidarity, cohesiveness and tolerance at Balun. Local wisdom in Balun is portrayed as an interfaith meeting, conflict resolution, and fostering communal solidarity. This research contributes to the scarcity of studies that reveal the role of local wisdom in society. Similar research worth doing in order to unravel other forms of local wisdom.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the structural challenges and emerging opportunities shaping international trade among Islamic countries within the context of global economic transformation. Methodology – Employing a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature from international institutions and scholarly sources, the analysis integrates conventional trade theory, competitive advantage perspectives, and Islamic economic principles grounded in Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah and Value-Based Intermediation (VBI). Findings – The findings indicate that OIC member states continue to face persistent constraints, including low export diversification, non-tariff barriers, fragmented halal certification systems, technological disparities, and limited readiness for digital and green economic transitions. These challenges collectively weaken trade competitiveness and inhibit effective participation in global value chains. Conversely, significant opportunities arise from the expansion of digital trade, renewable energy development, Islamic finance innovation, and strengthened intra-OIC cooperation. Conclusion – The study argues that integrating Islamic value-based frameworks with structural and technological reforms can enhance competitiveness, promote sustainability, and support a more coherent trade governance system. Contribution/Novelty – The contribution of this research lies in providing a comprehensive analytical framework that links empirical trade dynamics with normative Islamic principles, thereby offering strategic insights for developing value-oriented, inclusive, and resilient international trade policies among Islamic countries

The study specifically examines the roles of parents and teachers, communication strategies, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the process of religious value internalization in Islamic schools. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at MTs Negeri 3 Jember. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis involving 26 participants consisting of Islamic Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers, students, and parents selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the internalization of religious values was implemented through four major strategies: exemplary behavior, religious habituation, supervision, and collaborative communication between family and school. Teachers strengthened worship discipline through structured religious programs such as congregational shalat dhuha, shalat dhuhur, and Qur’anic recitation, while parents reinforced religious practices through worship habituation at home, supervision of prayer times, and smartphone usage control. The study also found that family–school collaboration had a greater influence on students’ worship discipline than previously assumed. The novelty of this study lies in its emphasis on integrated collaboration between parents and teachers in fostering worship discipline through communication, supervision, and religious habituation simultaneously. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic character education by offering an integrative perspective on religious value internalization within contemporary Islamic educational settings.
