Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic is a disease outbreak caused by SARS-CoV-2; as of July 20, 2021, there were 2,950,058 positive cases and 76,200 deaths in Indonesia. COVID-19 patients with comorbidities are mostly hypertension (50%), diabetes mellitus (37.2%), and heart disease (16.7%). This study aims to prove how comorbidities affect the mortality of COVID-19 patients at Pertamina Jaya Hospital, Central Jakarta.Method: This study is a retrospective cohort analysis. The sample comprised 500 patients, 250 comorbid groups, and 250 without comorbidities. The secondary data source is medical records of COVID-19 patients at Pertamina Jaya Hospital from April 2020 to September 2021. Data analysis using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate.Result: Multivariate analysis with logistic regression resulted in a value of (32.197 95% CI 9.714 - 106.718) so that there is an influence on the risk of death with a comorbid history in COVID-19 patients. The relative risk value proves that hypertension has a 3-fold risk of death (3.124 95% CI 1.441 - 6.773), diabetes mellitus is 2.5 times (2.521 95% CI 1.055 - 6.024), while heart disease is 2.3 times (2.325 95% CI 1.169 - 4.622).Conclusion: Hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and heart disease are comorbidities that are predictors of mortality for COVID-19 patients due to a higher risk of death.

Abstract

Hazardous and Toxic Material Waste/ (Hazardous and Toxic Materials) is the residue of a business and/or activity that contains hazardous and toxic materials (B3). One of the B3 wastes is medical waste, which is infectious waste produced from activities in healthcare facilities, both in the form of solid and liquid waste. This medical waste is generated from activities such as hospitals, health centers, independent practice places, clinics, etc. facilities. Medical waste is an infectious object or item that must be managed properly, starting from the time of collection, and transportation, to the destruction process. Therefore, there needs to be legally binding regulations related to waste and its management. This research is descriptive and will produce an overview of B3 waste management regulations, especially medical waste with the protection of environmental health rights. The research approach used is a normative legal approach. The data collected is in the form of secondary data, while the analysis method used is qualitative. The results of the study show that the more human activities increase, the more waste is produced. Medical waste is one of the B3 wastes. Medical waste is waste that is directly generated from the diagnosis and treatment of patients in healthcare facilities, such as polyclinics, nursing, surgery, obstetrics, autopsies, and laboratory rooms. To avoid environmental risks, medical waste management must be done properly. Various laws and regulations for B3 waste management have been established, including Government Regulation Number 19 of 1994 (PP 19/1994) concerning Waste Management of Hazardous and Toxic Materials up to PP 101/2014. The provisions regarding B3 waste management are based on Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management (UUPLH). However, medical waste still needs to be synchronized with the provisions in Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health. Efforts to protect environmental health are carried out through the regulation and management of medical waste in healthcare facilities. Through the regulation and management of medical waste, it can prevent environmental pollution prevent the transmission of diseases (infections), and avoid the misuse of waste, so that it can maintain environmental health.

Abstract

Stunting is a significant issue in Indonesia caused by nutritional deficiencies that can lead to slower growth, cognitive impairment, and learning disorders. The stunting rate in Indonesia in 2022 was 21.6%, and the government aims to reduce this rate to 14% by 2024. Meanwhile, the stunting rate in Kulon Progo Regency reached 14.8%, placing it as the second highest stunting rate in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. Therefore, an effective strategy is needed to implement the acceleration program for reducing stunting in Indonesia, particularly in Kulon Progo Regency. One approach to reducing stunting is utilizing geographic information systems to map the distribution of stunting cases and potential causes. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of stunting cases in Kulon Progo Regency. The research method is a descriptive quantitative study using a geographic information system application, ArcGIS. The subject of study covers all stunting cases in Kulon Progo Regency from 2021 to 2023 based on secondary data from the Kulon Progo Health Office with a total of 5986 cases. The results of the study showed that stunting cases in Kulon Progo district formed a random pattern with a Moran's index value of -0.063811, and a p-value of 0.869570. In addition, the number of integrated health posts in this area is quite evenly distributed with more than 50 integrated health posts.

Abstract

Website accessibility and digital content for people with disabilities in Indonesia remain inadequate. Based on the Internet Inclusive Index, Indonesia ranks 66th out of 120 countries with a score of 69.75 and fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Despite the enactment of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities and the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) in 2011, accessibility rights to information and communication technology have not been fully realised. Existing studies have yet to comprehensively examine how digital law can be effectively applied to close the gap between legal norms and the digital inclusion of persons with disabilities. This research fills that gap by analysing the intersection of disability rights and digital law, identifying key legal and sociocultural barriers that contribute to the digital divide. Employing normative juridical methods and a statutory approach, the study is analysed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The digital divide is found to stem from three main factors: legal substance, institutional structures, and societal culture. The novelty of this research lies in its use of digital law as a conceptual and regulatory framework to formulate inclusive digital policy recommendations. These include the strategic implementation of Articles 5 and 127 of Law No. 8 of 2016, as well as the proposal for a government-regulated digital portal based on universal design principles. Additionally, a cultural shift from a compassion-based to a rights-based approach is essential to ensure that persons with disabilities are recognised as equal participants in the digital society.

Abstract

The main problem is that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still not optimal in carrying out improvements to the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal, both in terms of facilities and services. This condition is reflected in the presence of passengers and drivers who have not maximized their use of the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal. This study aims to analyze service levels in increasing customer satisfaction. This research uses service quality analysis at the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal based on the level of passenger satisfaction using the Service Quality, Importance Performance Analysis and Quality Function Deployment methods. The research sample was bus passengers and the operational implementation unit as well as the Pulo Gebang integrated bus infrastructure and facilities implementation unit, totaling 100 respondents. The calculation results show the suitability value between the average perception score and the lowest average importance score, namely the service attributes, security guarantees and trust in services, which shows that the number of existing buses cannot fulfill customer desires. Other calculation results show that the conformity value does not reach 100%, so the Pulo Gebang Integrated bus terminal has not been able to fulfill customer desires as a whole.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian Language and Literature in schools is to develop language skills both orally and in writing. Most students find it difficult to develop aspects of writing. Especially in stringing words to be arranged into a sentence. This difficulty may be caused by teachers who in their delivery are less precise and almost never use appropriate media. The problems mentioned above require alternative solutions in the form of learning models that can improve students' writing skills. A model that can provide a lot of information to students in order to inspire students and improve writing skills, through the Scramble Learning Model, students can find information about various vocabularies. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods and the variety of methods used in this study was experimental research with a pre-experimental design type of experiment. The research design used was a one-group pre-test-post test. Then the data collection technique used in this research is to use test questions (pre test and post test), observation, interviews and documentation. The research analysis uses the arithmetic mean. Based on the results of the post-test hypothesis, the t-test with the results of the T-value > with the T-table value, so that Ha which means 'Effectiveness of the Scramble Learning Model on Sentence Writing Skills for Class III Students at SDN Pabuaran Tumpeng 2 Tangerang City is accepted, and Ho which means "No Effectiveness". The Scramble learning model on Sentence Writing Skills for Class III Students at SDN Pabuaran Tumpeng 2 Tangerang City was rejected.
