Abstract

Sound is one of the most critical components of singing. A lack of sound understanding can affect students' ability to sing due to the lack of use of learning media in class. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of Powtoon-based animated video learning media on singing abilities in third-grade students using the 10-step Research and Development (R&D) research method developed by Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of product data analysis in the form of learning media validation were carried out by experts in the field of materials and media with a percentage of 83.75% and 87.5% with the criteria of "very feasible." The effectiveness of the developed media is known based on the increase in the percentage of students' pretest and posttest scores on the knowledge aspect of 0.43% in the "moderate" category and 0.31% in the skills aspect in the "moderate" category. The results of the teacher and student response questionnaire to the media obtained a percentage of 79.57% with the "very decent" criteria. Based on this, portion-based animated videos can improve students' sound understanding and ability to sing and are suitable for use as a support for the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is part of implementing the independent curriculum in learning activities at SD Nasima. The research objective was to determine the independent curriculum implementation for grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 at SD Nasima, primarily scientific literacy. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The design used is a case study which means the researcher reveals and analyzes the problem in depth to get specific results. The subjects in this study were teachers, students, and school principals at Nasima Elementary School. Data collection uses primary and secondary sources. Primary sources include observations and interviews, while secondary sources come from books, journals, and scientific articles. The stages of data analysis include critical analysis, interpretation, and conclusions data validity techniques using source triangulation. The study results show that there is scientific literacy in the implementation of the independent curriculum, using learning resources and learning processes, and finding obstacles in its application.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of class V at SDN Bendungan Semarang in science subjects on the human circulatory system are low. The average learning outcome of fifth-grade students at SDN Bendungan is 63, where the score is less than the standard of minimum value for science subjects, namely 75. This study aims to develop the learning media "Digital Comics for Education on the Human Circulatory System" as well as to test the design of media development, test the feasibility of media, as well as to find out the effectiveness of the learning media "Digital Comic Education for the Human Blood Circulation System." The method used in this study is the Research and Development method with the Borg and Gall development model. The subjects in this research and development were: (1) Grade V students at SDN Bendungan Semarang in the 2022/2023 school year with 28 students; (2) Class V teachers at SDN Bendungan; (3) experts, expert lecturers, or experts as testers of learning media and provide input to the learning media. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, documentation, observation, and tests. Data analysis used validity, reliability, normality, t-tests, and N-gain tests. Based on the study's results, suitable for use with a percentage of material experts' assessment of 86% and a percentage of media experts' assessment of 95%. The percentage of teacher responses is 91%, and the percentage of student responses is 89%. The t-test result is 0.000, so there is a significant difference between the pretest and the post-test results. The result of the N-gain test is 0.60957 in the medium criteria category. So that the results obtained are: (1) the design of learning media that is developed according to the needs of students and teachers in teaching and learning activities; (2) the assessment of media experts and material experts with very feasible criteria; (3) the use of effective learning media in increasing student effectiveness and motivation. Based on the responses of teachers and students, the results of the study show that learning media is appropriate for use in teaching and learning activities

Abstract

According to the results of observations conducted by researchers at SD Negeri Bakalrejo 1, problems were found in the form of limited learning media and student learning outcomes which were still in the low category in science subject content. Based on this problem, the researcher aims to develop, test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of the environment-based Carabisatulus chatbot learning media on the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri Bakalrejo 1, especially on science lesson content. The type of research used is research and development (RnD) using the Borg and Gall model which was modified into 9 stages. Data collection through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the product assessment are validation of learning media carried out by experts in the field of materials and media with a percentage of 92.5% and 95% with a classification of "very feasible". Media effectiveness using the T test obtained a significance value of 0.000. The results of the N-gain calculation found a value of 0.6641 with "medium" criteria. So the environment-based Carabisatulus chatbot learning media can be said to be very feasible and effective to apply in improving student learning outcomes. Researchers recommend always developing digital-based learning media and maximizing existing applications to encourage educational progress in Indonesia.

Abstract

Educational games are games that are used in the learning process, as a form of technology adaptation in the world of education to help teachers improve the learning process in the classroom. Researchers conducted research with the aim of analyzing the use of educational game media during learning; analyze the impact of using educational game media; how important educational game media is in class V science and science learning at Japeledok State Elementary School. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. This research was carried out at SDN Japeledok, Pancur District, Rembang Regency. SDN Japeledok has a total of 11 class V students consisting of 7 boys and 4 girls. The data taken from this research are observations, questionnaires, interviews and documentation using triangulation techniques. The results obtained from this research are the use of educational game media in Japeledok Elementary School that have been implemented by class teachers are Wordwall and Quizizz; The impact given after implementing educational game media is an interactive and fun learning experience, training students' thinking skills, increasing interest and motivation to learn, and making students more active in the learning process in class. Overall, educational games have had a lot of positive impacts on students and teachers. Judging from the impact this educational game has, it has an important role in implementing learning. Educational game media not only provides an interesting alternative in education, but also opens up new opportunities to improve the quality of learning and learning experiences for various types of learners.

Abstract

Learning media is an important element in the educational process that affects the effectiveness of information delivery and student understanding. This study aims to analyze the use of science and technology learning media; analyze students' interest in learning about the use of science and technology learning media; and analyze the role of the use of learning media needed in science and science learning grade IV at Reban Elementary School, Reban District, Batang Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of the study were 25 grade IV students at SD Negeri Reban. Data collection uses observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation techniques. This study uses a data validity technique in the form of a credibility test with technical triangulation. Through the analysis process of the Miles and Huberman Model, it was shown that the use of learning media applied in grade IV at SDN Reban included PPT, YouTube videos, Quizizz, concrete objects and media made using objects around it. The correct selection and use of media will affect students' interest in learning. Various kinds of learning media that have been applied in grade IV at SDN Reban have increased students' interest in learning. Behaviors that show student interest are feeling happy, feeling comfortable, paying attention to the teacher, being more active in learning, enthusiastic, taking notes on important things related to the material, and following lessons well and in an orderly manner. Learning media has succeeded in playing an important role in the learning process. The presence of learning media has a significant impact on learning, including making students enthusiastic; arousing students' interest; fostering motivation to learn; students become more active in learning; making it easier for students to understand the concept of the material; receive information more effectively and efficiently, overcome space and time limitations, and apply technology to students.

Abstract

This study critically examines the integration of technology and performance enhancement in plyometric training, particularly in high school volleyball players in Indonesia. The research investigates how technology and scientific advances can be incorporated into the plyometric training methodology to elevate volleyball skills and diminish the risk of injury among young Indonesian athletes. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through literature studies from various sources. Primary data sources from several research results are supplemented with some relevant secondary data. The results and conclusions of this study provide valuable insights into how cultural attitudes towards sports science and technology in Indonesia can shape the adoption and effectiveness of advanced plyometric training methods among high school volleyball players. Furthermore, the study evaluates the knowledge and practice of volleyball coaches in Indonesia related to plyometric training and identifies potential gaps in volleyball education and training, with the potential to significantly impact the field of sports science and volleyball training.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology emphasizes the improvement of students' character through various strategies focused on creating Pancasila Students. The main challenges at SDN Manyaran 2 include low collaboration among students and the need to improve critical and creative thinking skills. The study aims to develop, test feasibility, and evaluate the effectiveness of a Project-based Learning module based on Ethnoscience on Light and its properties for fifth-grade students, focusing on improving cooperative skills, critical reasoning, and creativity. This research follows the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data collection methods include interviews, questionnaires, observation, documentation, and tests. This research was conducted in the fifth grade at SDN Manyaran 2 in Semarang, involving 28 students. The results showed that the development of the learning module was deemed highly feasible, with validation scores for media, content, and language and responses from teachers and students reaching 100%. The product's effectiveness improved students' collaboration, critical reasoning, and creativity. The research results offer students a rewarding and meaningful learning experience, encouraging their ongoing growth and learning motivation. Thus, using a learning module with Project-based Learning Based on Ethnoscience received a highly feasible validation and positively impacted enhancing students' collaboration, critical reasoning, and creativity.

Abstract

Cabe Jawa (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) dikenal sebagai bahan baku pembuatan dalam herbal. Dengan manfaat yang begitu luas, diperlukan penelitian mengenai toksisitas P. retrofractum khususnya terhadap ginjal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan skrining senyawa kimia dari P. retrofractum yang berpotenssi menyebabkan gangguan ginjal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan docking PLANTS dan bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh darai knapsackfamily. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh skore docking masing masing ligand sebagai berikut (+)-Sesamin (-83.8785); L-Sesamin (-85.9199); Guineensine (-104.444); Pipercide (-95.8947); Retrofractamide A (-92.7619); Methyl piperate (-75.2266); 3, 4, 5-Trimethoxy dihydrocinnamic acid (-43.388).  Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah senyawa yang berpotensi dari P.retrofractum yang berpotensi menyebabkan gangguan ginjal adalah Guineensine.

Abstract

This study aims to review various literature related to the development of interactive media using Wordwall in teaching integers at the elementary school level. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant scientific articles, journals, and academic publications. Wordwall is a digital platform that allows teachers to create various types of interactive and engaging educational games. Based on the findings of the review, the use of Wordwall has been proven to enhance students' learning motivation, active participation, and understanding of integer concepts through a fun and non-monotonous approach. Moreover, this media provides a varied learning experience and promotes two-way interaction between teachers and students. However, several challenges arise in its implementation, such as limited access to technological devices, uneven internet connectivity, and the lack of teacher readiness in optimally utilizing technology in the learning process. The implications of this review highlight the importance of providing adequate training and mentoring for teachers, as well as sufficient infrastructure support, so that the use of interactive media like Wordwall can be effectively and sustainably integrated into mathematics learning in elementary schools.
