Abstract

The health and well-being of older adults are major concerns in improving the quality of life of the elderly population. The visit of the Elderly Posyandu is one of the programs designed to meet the health and social needs of older adults at the community level. Older adults' knowledge and attitudes towards using Posyandu Lansia services have an important role in determining their level of participation in the program. This study aims to analyze the knowledge and attitudes of older adults toward participation in Posyandu Lansia visits. A quantitative research method with a cross-sectional approach was used in this study. Respondents were selected based on purposive sampling, with as many as 86 respondents. The data were analyzed using the Fisher exact test. Fisher's exact statistical test results are known to be knowledge variables p value = 0.003, attitude is known p value = 0.002, meaning there is a correlation between knowledge and attitude towards the use of elderly posyandu visits. It can be concluded that efforts to improve the knowledge and attitudes of older adults towards the Posyandu Lansia program need to be increased through various education and health promotion strategies. Involving families, communities, and related parties in supporting the participation of older adults is also important. Thus, increased participation of older adults in the visit of the Elderly Posyandu can be achieved, thus positively impacting the overall health and well-being of older adults.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on how diverse artistic expressions collectively function as media of religious transformation, despite their significant impact on contemporary cultural da’wah practices in local Muslim communities. It aims to explore how cultural art forms are utilized in da’wah, analyze their relevance and effectiveness in shaping religious transformation, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing art-based da’wah in Pagutan Karang Genteng. A qualitative intrinsic case-study design was employed, involving 18 purposively selected participants representing religious leaders, local artists, community figures, and audience members. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation of artistic–religious events, and document analysis, and were examined using reflexive thematic analysis. The findings reveal that diverse artistic expressions—vocal, performative, and visual—are deeply embedded in community religious life and serve as effective tools for transmitting Islamic teachings. Art-based da’wah is actively practiced and integrated into religious gatherings, youth activities, and communal events, fostering emotional engagement, increasing public participation, and contributing to observable improvements in religious attitudes and behavior. Supporting factors include strong collaboration among religious leaders and artists, cultural continuity, and youth involvement, whereas inhibiting factors involve limited resources, inconsistent institutional support, and generational differences in artistic preferences. The study concludes that art plays a key role in contemporary da’wah by enhancing religious engagement and aligning Islamic teachings with local culture, thereby providing guidance for educators, institutions, and policymakers in integrating arts into community programs, while also highlighting the need for future research employing longitudinal and multi-site designs to further understand art-driven religious transformation.

Abstract

This article examines the reformulation of the investigation time limit regulation based on the value of legal certainty in the Indonesian criminal law system. The provisions in the current Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) do not regulate the investigation time limit, thus creating legal uncertainty, weak oversight, and the potential for abuse of authority by law enforcement officers. This study uses a normative juridical approach with descriptive analysis to find the ideal concept for reforming criminal procedure law. The results show that the unclear investigation time limit contradicts the principle of due process of law and the principle of speedy, simple, and low-cost justice. Therefore, a reformulation of the KUHAP is needed by adding provisions regarding the maximum 30-day investigation period, reasons for termination of investigation, and internal and external oversight mechanisms. This reformulation is expected to ensure legal certainty, prevent abuse of authority, and strengthen human rights protection in the criminal justice process in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the institutional position of the Public Prosecutor’s Office as the sole prosecutorial authority (single prosecutor) within the Indonesian criminal justice system. The core legal issue addressed concerns the authority and functional role of the Prosecutor’s Office as the exclusive body responsible for prosecution, particularly as mandated in Article 1 of Law No. 11 of 2021, which amends Law No. 16 of 2004 on the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia. Employing a normative legal research method, this study focuses on the analysis of normative ambiguity, using both statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that the single prosecutor concept normatively reinforces the centralization of prosecutorial powers in the hands of the Public Prosecutor's Office. Nonetheless, ambiguities persist regarding the interpretation of the limits of this authority, especially in its interactions with other law enforcement agencies and in the practical implementation of the dominus litis principle. Therefore, a comprehensive legal interpretation is imperative to prevent overlapping jurisdictions and to uphold the coherence and consistency of Indonesia’s criminal justice system.

Abstract

Abstract

Strawberries (Fragaria x ananassa) contain striking red anthocyanin pigments that can serve as natural colorants for lip cream preparations and also as antioxidants. The emollient properties of castor oil can rehydrate dry skin, allowing it to function as a moisturizer for the skin and lips. This study aims to obtain the optimal formula for lip cream combining strawberry fruit strawberry juice powder as a natural colouring agent and castor oil as a moisturizer. Both ingredients were optimized using Design Expert V13 Simplex Lattice Design method, resulting in 5 formulas in 8 runs. The lip cream preparations were evaluated based on organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, adhesion, spreadability, irritation, hedonic, and antioxidant tests to obtain the optimal formula. Verification of the optimal formula was carried out to ensure the validity of the results. The results of the study obtained an optimal formula with a composition of 33.15 g of strawberry juice powder and 13.85 g of castor oil with a desirability value of 0.524. The optimal formula produced a pH response of 5.6; viscosity of 17686.7 cP; adhesion of 4.06 seconds; spreadability of 6.57 cm; hedonic properties in terms of colour, aroma, and spreadability of 4.7, 4.7, and 4.8, respectively; and antioxidant activity with an IC₅₀ value of 21.31 ppm. The results of the verification formula on the parameters of pH, viscosity, adhesive power and spread power did not show significant differences.

Abstract

Detention is one of the most coercive measures in the criminal justice process and is intended to ensure the effectiveness of criminal proceedings. In many legal systems, public prosecutors are granted authority to order detention against suspects or defendants under specific legal requirements. However, the practical effectiveness of detention by public prosecutors in achieving procedural objectives and safeguarding legal rights remains a subject of debate. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of detention carried out by public prosecutors against perpetrators of criminal acts, focusing on its legal basis, implementation, and impact on the criminal justice process. Using a normative juridical approach supported by qualitative analysis of legislation, legal doctrines, and relevant case studies, this research evaluates whether prosecutorial detention fulfills principles of legality, necessity, proportionality, and human rights protection. The findings indicate that while detention by public prosecutors can enhance procedural efficiency and prevent obstruction of justice, its effectiveness is often constrained by inconsistencies in application, weak judicial oversight, and potential risks of arbitrary detention. This study concludes that strengthening legal safeguards, standardizing detention criteria, and enhancing accountability mechanisms are essential to ensure that detention by public prosecutors remains both effective and compliant with the rule of law.
Reconstruction of the Abolition of Compensation Pay-ments Towards Justice for Convicts Aji Sumbara; Achmad Faishal; Suprapto Suprapto

Abstract

This study explores the reconstruction of the abolition of compensation payments to foster justice for convicts, specifically evaluating the intersection between Law No. 31 of 1999 and Law No. 20 of 2001. The research addresses the persistent legal dilemma where state loss recovery mechanisms often overlook the fundamental rights and socio-economic realities of prisoners. Under the current regime, the imposition of substitute imprisonment for unpaid financial obligations is perceived as a "layered punishment" that undermines human dignity and fails to reflect proportional justice. The analysis reveals that the retributive orientation established in Law No. 31 of 1999 results in a "lose-lose" outcome: the state remains uncompensated while the financial burden of correctional costs increases due to extended incarceration. By integrating the fiscal and state financial management principles found in Law No. 20 of 2001, this research proposes a shift toward more proportional and restorative asset recovery. The study concludes that the role of the Prosecutor must be reoriented toward accurate asset tracing and the implementation of humane payment schemes. Future legal reforms must ensure that the state's interest in fiscal restoration does not sacrifice the convict's basic rights, prioritizing distributive justice to create a more humane anti-corruption framework.
