Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 and 2 Paringin are A-accredited schools that have produced competent, excellent, and high-achieving generations of Balangan. Therefore, this research aims to analyze whether the accreditation value truly reflects the real conditions in schools and whether there is a significant relationship between the implementation of accreditation and the improvement of educational quality and overall school performance. This research is qualitative using descriptive research methods. The subjects of the research were leaders, vice principals, and several teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Paringin and SMA Negeri 2 Paringin. The results of the study indicate that both schools have been accredited with better performance in various aspects, graduation rates, student achievements, and active participation in learning activities. It can be concluded that the implementation of accreditation at SMA Negeri 1 Paringin and SMA Negeri 2 Paringin has a positive impact on improving the quality of education, which focuses on continuous improvement, thereby improving performance as seen from increased graduation rates and student achievement.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and moral foundation. One of the key aspects that supports this is religious education, which, through a curriculum based on Islamic values, instills noble character from an early age. This study aims to examine the implementation of curriculum management based on the Ke'Aisyiyahan values at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 32 Banjarmasin. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum that integrates the Merdeka Curriculum with Islamic values. The findings indicate that curriculum planning is carried out through internal workshops that align the Merdeka Curriculum with the Ke'Aisyiyahan Guidelines. The learning process is conducted using thematic methods and projects that instill religious values, such as love for plants and daily prayers. Evaluation is performed regularly through weekly observations, which are then discussed in monthly evaluation meetings to adjust teaching strategies. This study provides insights into the implementation of a values-based curriculum in ECE, focusing on the development of Islamic character and emotional intelligence from an early age. This curriculum is expected to shape students who are not only intellectually capable but also possess strong character and high spirituality.

Abstract

The goal of national education requires the optimal role of teachers as key elements in education. Therefore, teachers need to demonstrate strong performance. This study aims to identify the factors that significantly influence the improvement of teacher performance. The research employs a quantitative approach with a regression design. The study population consists of 1,820 teachers from 212 public elementary schools (SDN) in Tabalong Regency, with a sample drawn from this population for analysis. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and regression analysis. Regression analysis was utilized to examine both direct and indirect effects on teacher performance

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the perceptions of Guidance and Counseling students on the ethics and innovation of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and its influence on the future counselor’s role. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using a survey method with a Likert scale. A total of 134 students across three cohorts (2022, 2023, and 2024) participated in this study. The results showed that the 2024 cohort demonstrated a higher tendency to use GenAI and perceived it as a positive innovation, while the 2022 and 2023 cohorts showed greater ethical awareness in using the technology. This indicates a gap between technological proficiency and ethical sensitivity among students. The study concluded that GenAI offers potential benefits for academic innovation but must be balanced with ethical considerations to preserve the integrity of the guidance and counseling profession. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital ethics into the educational curriculum for prospective counselors.

Abstract

The quality of education in schools is influenced by various factors, including financial management, school climate, and teacher performance. These factors play a crucial role in improving school services and overall educational outcomes. This study was conducted to explore how these variables impact the quality of education in public junior high schools in the Sungai Durian subdistrict, Kotabaru Regency. The objective of this research was to determine the influence of financial management, school climate, and teacher performance on the quality of education in public junior high schools. A quantitative and explanatory research approach was used in this study. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents, including school administrators, teachers, and staff. The analysis employed multiple linear regression, with a T-test to examine the significance of the relationships between the variables. The study found that financial management, school climate, and teacher performance all have a positive relationship with school services and the quality of education. The T-test results showed that the values for financial management (4.343), school climate (3.426), and teacher performance (3.426) were higher than the T-table value, indicating significant positive influences. These findings suggest that improving financial management, enhancing the school climate, and increasing teacher performance are essential strategies for improving the quality of education in junior high schools. Educational authorities should focus on these areas to foster a more conducive learning environment and better educational outcomes.

Abstract

Budaya mutu dalam pendidikan menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas sekolah dan hasil belajar siswa. Manajemen kesiswaan yang efektif berperan penting dalam membangun budaya mutu yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi kreatif dalam manajemen kesiswaan guna menciptakan budaya mutu di sekolah. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru, serta observasi terhadap praktik manajemen kesiswaan di beberapa sekolah di Kalimantan Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang efektif dalam membangun budaya mutu meliputi: (1) penguatan nilai budaya mutu dalam kesiswaan melalui kegiatan berbasis karakter dan kedisiplinan, (2) pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pemantauan perkembangan siswa, (3) peningkatan peran bimbingan dan konseling sebagai pendukung pengelolaan siswa, (4) kolaborasi sekolah dengan orang tua dan masyarakat dalam pembinaan karakter siswa, dan (5) sistem monitoring dan evaluasi berbasis data untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program. Ditemukan pula bahwa kesenjangan antara kebijakan dan praktik di lapangan masih menjadi tantangan utama, di mana tidak semua sekolah mampu menerapkan strategi secara optimal akibat keterbatasan sumber daya dan kurangnya keterlibatan stakeholder. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan inovatif dan berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan siswa serta perlunya dukungan kebijakan yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam menciptakan organisasi pendidikan yang berkarakter di SDN Semangat Dalam 2 Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Dalam era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, peran kepala sekolah semakin penting dalam mengelola dan memimpin sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang tidak hanya berkualitas, tetapi juga berkarakter. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini difokuskan pada upaya kepala sekolah dalam melakukan transformasi kepemimpinan untuk menciptakan budaya sekolah yang mendukung pengembangan karakter peserta didik, staf, dan lingkungan sekolah secara keseluruhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan beberapa siswa yang terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan pendidikan di SDN Semangat Dalam 2 Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi kepemimpinan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah melibatkan beberapa langkah strategis, di antaranya adalah penerapan visi dan misi sekolah yang berfokus pada karakter siswa, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan berbasis karakter, serta penerapan program-program berbasis nilai-nilai karakter dalam kegiatan sehari-hari di sekolah. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang partisipatif dan komunikatif terbukti berhasil membangun kerja sama yang solid antara seluruh pemangku kepentingan sekolah, termasuk guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Selain itu, pengelolaan dan penataan lingkungan fisik sekolah juga berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter positif siswa.Dengan demikian, transformasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SDN Semangat Dalam 2 Kabupaten Barito Kuala memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap terbentuknya organisasi pendidikan yang berkarakter, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan inspirasi dan rekomendasi bagi kepala sekolah di sekolah-sekolah lainnya dalam rangka memperkuat karakter pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan program dari Kementerian Pendidikan yang memberi keleluasaan kepada sekolah untuk mengatur pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dan kondisi lingkungan setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran orang tua dan keterbatasan alat peraga memengaruhi implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SDN Mawar 4. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah di SDN Mawar 4 dan dianalisis secara mendalam. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa orang tua masih belum sepenuhnya memahami tujuan dari Kurikulum Merdeka, terutama bahwa keberhasilan peserta didik tidak hanya dilihat dari nilai, tetapi juga dari sikap, karakter, dan keterampilan peserta didik. Peran serta orang tua yang kurang aktif menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, keterbatasan alat peraga juga menjadi hambatan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, meskipun guru telah berupaya mengatasinya dengan menggunakan media digital seperti video pembelajaran dan sumber daya yang tersedia. Meskipun menghadapi berbagai tantangan, guru dan sekolah tetap berusaha menjalankan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan menyesuaikan kondisi dan kemampuan yang ada, serta terus berupaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara bertahap.

Abstract

The leadership of school principals plays a crucial role in fostering effective school partnerships. This article aims to discuss the importance of school principals' leadership in building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including parents, the community, and government institutions, to support the improvement of education quality. In addition, the article also explores the strategies implemented by school principals to strengthen partnerships, such as the development of joint programs, stakeholder involvement in decision-making, and transparent resource management. The research method used in this article is a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the principal plays a key role in building relationships among the school, teachers, and the community to enhance the quality of education at TK Negeri Pembina Banjarmasin Utara 2. With strong partnerships, schools are not only able to improve the quality of education but also strengthen their connections with the social environment. This article provides practical insights for school principals in optimizing their role as leaders who are focused on developing effective school partnerships

Abstract

The management and implementation of education in schools is very necessary for good coordination and cooperation between school personnel, principals, teachers, other education personnel, and with parents or school committees and school supervisors to realize the goals that have been set with the coordination of all parties to this school, so that the ideals of quality education can be achieved as they should be (Ikhsandi,  2021). In order for schools to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently, school principals must carry out managerial functions such as planning, organizing, directing, motivating, implementing, organizing, control, evaluation and innovation. A good principal is expected to shape the implementation of learning carried out by good teachers. If learning at school is good, it will certainly result in good achievements of children and teachers. With this in mind, a school principal is needed who is able to lead and exert influence effectively in carrying out his obligations. The growth of such quality Islamic schools is undoubtedly inspired by the Islamization of formal education. Among the Islamic schools that are massively spread in various regions in Indonesia are Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT). Quality schools are able to improve and create an effective and quality educational environment under the leadership of school principals who have expectations in improving the quality of learning, inspiring and motivating educators and educators, being able to increase partnerships, support resource management and be able to face educational challenges.
