Abstract

DPT-HB (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B) immunizations can cause local reactions such as pain, redness, and swelling. Generally, children are a little fussy and feverish after immunization. Aloe vera therapy was chosen because 95% of the content is water which can reduce fever through a mechanism of absorbing body heat. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of aloe vera poultice to lower the body temperature of babies after DPT-HB immunization in the Work Area of Pasar Baru Health Center, Merangin District. The study design was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study consisted of 20 babies who were selected by accidental sampling method. The primary data collection involved measuring the babies' body temperatures with a thermometer, administering aloe vera therapy wrapped in a sterile gauze, and using an observational sheet to record the results of the temperature measurements. A t-test was used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the mean of babies’ body temperature decrease after giving aloe vera poultice was 0.64°C and 85% of it became normal. The results of the statistical test showed that aloe vera poultice was effective in lowering the body temperature of babies after DPT-HB vaccination (p 0.000). Community health centers were required to recommend to mothers the therapy of aloe vera as an alternative treatment for fever their babies might have after DPT-HB immunization.

Abstract

Kabupaten Landak sebagai salah satu daerah tertinggal dari 122 Kabupaten di Indonesia berimplikasi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah. Selama lima tahun terakhir, pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten Landak adalah sebesar 5,5%, artinya 0,1% lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan regional provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Selain faktor fisik, ketertinggalan Kabupaten Landak juga dipengaruhi oleh aspek non fisik. Oleh karena itu, dalam rangka mengurangi ketertinggalan daerah, selain kajian faktor fisik, juga diperlukan adanya analisis faktor non fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor non fisik yang mempengaruhi daerah tertinggal di Kabupaten Landak melalui analisis faktor. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa faktor non fisik yang berpengaruh terhadap ketertinggalan daerah di Kabupaten Landak terdiri dari 3 faktor, yaitu kondisi ekonomi, pemanfaatan teknologi dan kondisi sosial kelembagaan. Faktor kondisi ekonomi diantaranya adalah mata pencaharian yang bertumpu pada pertanian, lemahnya sturktur dan akses terhadap sumber permodalan, keterbatasan pasar dan gangguan ekonomi regional. Keempat sub faktor tersebut tergolong tinggi mempengaruhi tumbuhnya daerah tertinggal. Pada faktor pemanfaatan teknologi terdiri dari kemampuan teknologi rendah yang berpengaruh tinggi sedangkan pengelolaan tanah konvensional berpengaruh sedang. Sementara faktor sosial kelembagaan meliputi kesadaran masyarakat dan organisasi manajemen ekonomi yang rendah dengan kategori pengaruh tinggi sedangkan adat istiadat mengikat dan kebiasaan buruk masyarakat berpengaruh sedang.

Abstract

Counseling is an activity to help the counselee so that his daily life becomes an effective life. The current phenomenon that occurs in the West Sumatra region is the occurrence of moral decadence caused by many things and one of the causes is that people no longer apply "adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi Kitabullah". The method used in this study is the library research method or a method that explores articles or research that discusses the things the researchers are researching. The results of religious counseling research with the cultural approach of "adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi Kitabullah" are effective in helping counselee problems.

Abstract

From research conducted in the field, it was found that Smartphones can boost up which provides new insights about subject matter so that it supports the value of assignments and encourages me to achieve academic achievement. Smartphones in social life can strengthen friendly relations with friends who are far away, can get information from friends about the latest things, get lesson information from friends at other schools. The negative effects of smartphones on learning can interfere with managing study time, inconsistent doing assignments and easily diverting from doing assignments. There are adult advertisements that interfere with finding assignment references or when doing assignments so that they have an impact on students' understanding of pornographic matters. The counseling teacher's efforts to use smartphones for academic achievement from the results of the research conducted provide an illustration that the counseling teacher's business is to provide tutoring services, career guidance, counseling services by trying to use smartphones as a supporting medium in carrying out counseling so that the expected results can encourage achievement. student academic. The counseling teacher's effort to counteract the negative influence of Smartphones on learning is to apply a prevention function before learning is disrupted. Students' understanding of the use of Smartphones helps in broadening knowledge that is not found in schools so that they can find out what learning they want to find out.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of the division learning classes based on students’ educational background in Arabic at IAIN Bukittinggi. This research was a quantitative research. The population of this research was the Arabic Students of 2019/2020 who have undergone grouping system based on the school background in Arabic classes. The data was collected by online questionnaire on 75 students and 7 lecturers and was analyzed with Likert scale. The results showed that majority of students agreed with the grouping system because it helped them to improve their Arabic, to be more confident during the lesson, and to understand the given materials according to their learning outcomes. The data analysis also showed that the grouping system could measure students' abilities and increase students’ competitiveness in the process. Meanwhile, a small number of students expressed their disapproval of the grouping system because it limited their Arabic ability in order to have the proper chance to discuss the given materials with those who have previously learned Arabic.

Abstract

Textbooks are written with a focus on various aspects in order to keep up with developments and times and can implement the curriculum. HOTS is a high-level thinking skill teachers and students must possess in the 21st century. HOTS is an essential part of a textbook because textbooks are a learning medium. This study aims to determine the implementation of HOTS in textbooks and describe the instructions in the eleventh-grade Arabic textbook by Dariyadi and Feriandika. Various levels of instruction in a textbook are needed to determine student abilities, strengthen understanding, and evaluate and measure the goals achieved from a lesson. This research is literature research with a content analysis technique. The type of research data is primary data in the form of textbooks, data collection through documentation, verification, selection, focus, data, and then conclusion. The results showed that the Arabic textbook for class XI SMA had reflected HOTS with as much as 75% of HOTS-based exercises. The instructional level is at levels C4-C6 in analyzing, discovering, and creating.

Abstract

This article critically explains the concept and practice of the spiritual initiation (rābiṭah murshid) of the disciple and the role of Sheikh Muhammad Waly al-Khalidy in the Naqshbandiyah (Sufi) order in Aceh. Employing a qualitative method along with a hermeneutical approach the research found that the role of the guide is at the core of spiritual training and education. The spiritual connection between the student and the teacher is an intimate bond that allows the latter to guide the former in his efforts to become a perfect human being. The findings of this study differ from those of J. Spencer Trimingham, Julia Day Howell, and Mulyadhi Kartanegara who assumed that the authority of the spiritual guide is overemphasized and no longer necessary once the sālik reached his path. However, according to Muhammad Waly, a true sheikh has natural authority, and this authority is justified and does not intrude upon the Shari‘ah as it has been done during the reading of Naẓam of Obat Hati (Medicine of the Heart) containing the names of the murshids and khulafā’ of the Sufi order.

Abstract

The entrepreneurial spirit is one of the basics for forming the competencies of vocational school graduates.  The lack or absence of ideas and enthusiasm (mental) for vocational school students to become entrepreneurs can be due to their mindset and skills (competencies) which are still lacking. The area of activity carried out is increasing the knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial spirit of students at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, through training in using gadgets, mastering digital literacy and using social media in digital marketing, as well as improving management skills. finance (including administration) through the use of Excel. This community service activity (PPM) also introduced several examples of business ideas and provides practical simulations of business simulations carried out by students participating in the Mathematics Entrepreneurship Course I in the current semester at the same time as PPM activity. Methods for implementing activities include presentations (material transfer), questions and answers and discussions, demonstrations/practices, simulations, and implementation assistance. Training on using smartphones to create creative content on social media can increase the enthusiasm of vocational school students majoring in TKJ (Department of Computer and Network  Engineering) in getting to know the world of business, so that they can also develop their entrepreneurial spirit and become more familiar with business ideas. Apart from that, students become more familiar with using Microsoft Excel for simple calculations on business financial bookkeeping problems, so that it can motivate them to further improve their competency in using devices. The involvement of students as assistants in implementing the PPM activities of the Village Lecture Scheme is a field practice from the Mathematics Entrepreneurship Course I (in the MBKM curriculum), so that they can gain experience, information and contribute to the community outside the campus, as well as business experience.

Abstract

Abstract: Career development is urgently needed in increasing the resources of the Indonesian Red Cross in Banda Aceh City so that staff are ready when facing a sudden disaster. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the qualifications of Indonesian Red Cross workers, the Indonesian Red Cross Staff Work Program that was applied to the implementation and creativity of employees, and how the stages of career development of Indonesian Red Cross Staff were. In taking the sample, the writer uses purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques with observation techniques, interviews and documentation. After getting data from the field, the results of the research can be seen that the career development strategy in increasing the creativity of the Indonesian Red Cross staff in Banda Aceh City. First, the qualifications of workers are very diverse and not in accordance with their field of work, so they need data from individuals to adjust their work. Second, having a work program from each field, namely: (a) Searching for blood donor locations in collaboration with partners and granting charters; (b) perform services and data collection and fulfill the facilities and infrastructure; (c) Complete documentation to complete requests from the Food and Drug Administration in the process of complying with Good Manufacturing Practices; (d) Training on logistics and disaster management assessment; (e) Socialization and simulation of public and school health; (f) Proposing permanent employees and refresting data collection. Third, the career development strategy of Indonesian Red Cross staff consists of three strategic processes, namely: (a) scheduled training; (b) internship; (c) seminars and workshops.Keywords: Strategy; Career Development; Work Creativity; PMI Staff.Abstrak: Pengembangan karir sangat dibutuhkan dalam meningkatkan sumber daya Palang Merah Indonesia Kota Banda Aceh sehingga staf siap bertugas saat ada bencana yang melanda tiba-tiba. Oleh karena itu tujuannya dilaksanakan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui kualifikasi para pekerja staf Palang Merah Indonesia, Program kerja Staf Palang Merah Indonesia yang diterapkan untuk pencapaian kinerjanya dan kreativitas kerjanya, serta bagaimana tahapan pengembangan karir Staf di Palang Merah Indonesia. Dalam pengambilan sampel penulis menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah mendapatkan data yang diperoleh dari lapangan, maka hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa strategi pengembangan karir dalam meningkatkan kreativitas pada staf Palang Merah Indonesia Kota Banda Aceh. Pertama, kualifikasi para pekerja sangat beragam dan belum sesuai dengan bidang pekerjanya, sehinga membutuhkan data dari perorang untuk menyesuaikan pekerjaanya. Kedua, memiliki program kerja dari masing-masing bidang yaitu: (a) Pencarian lokasi donor darah dengan bekerja sama dengan mitra-mitra dan pemberian piagam; (b) Melakukan pelayanan dan pendataan serta  memenuhi perlengkapan sarana dan prasarana; (c) Melengkapi dokumentasi untuk melengkapi permintaan dari Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan dalam proses pemenuhan Good Manufacturing Practices; (d) Pelatihan logistic dan dan manajemen bencana assesmen; (e) Sosialisasi dan simulasi kesehatan ke masyarakat dan sekolah; (f) Pengusulan pegaawai tetap dan refrest pengimputan data.
