Abstract

Physics learning in senior high schools often faces challenges due to monotonous teaching methods and a lack of interesting media, resulting in low student interest and learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by Powtoon-based assessment media on students' physics learning outcomes. Powtoon provides visual animations that can improve students' conceptual understanding. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control group design. The subjects were 72 eleventh-grade students at Arjasa State High School, randomly divided into 36 students in the experimental group and 36 students in the control group. The independent variable in this study was the PBL model with Powtoon media, the dependent variable was students' physics learning outcomes, and the control variables were the same topic and duration of instruction. The instrument used was a test consisting of essay questions. Data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study indicate a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group and the control group, with the experimental group achieving higher scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model with Powtoon as an assessment medium has a positive effect on students' physics learning outcomes. This approach can be used by teachers to enhance students' conceptual understanding and engagement in physics learning.

Abstract

Introduction: Acinetobacter baumannii is a nosocomial pathogen with high mortality rates in intensive care units (ICUs) and is commonly associated with ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Due to declines in physiological and immune functions, A. baumannii can trigger septic shock complications, thereby increasing mortality risk. This study aimed to identify the risk factors associated with outcomes in VAP patients in the ICU of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta. Methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta, using patient medical records. Data were analyzed with Chi-square and Mann-Whitney U tests, followed by multiple logistic and linear regression to determine correlations between risk factors and outcomes (recovery, mortality, length of stay/LOS). Results: This study included 80 patients with VAP caused by A. baumannii. Most patients were under 60 years old (52.5%), had good nutritional status (75%), were on ventilators for less than 10 days (63.75%), and had mild comorbidities (51.25%). Moderate-severe comorbidities (p=0.001) and malnutrition (p=0.005) were significantly associated with increased mortality. In addition, ventilator use ≥10 days was significantly associated with LOS (p<0.001). Conclusion: Moderate-severe comorbidities and malnutrition were risk factors for mortality in patients with A. baumannii-related VAP, while ventilator use ≥10 days was a risk factor for prolonged hospitalization. Identifying these factors can help medical personnel manage conditions that worsen VAP outcomes and reduce the risk of A. baumannii-related mortality.

This arose from problems in RA, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where we had to hold online learning.on line. The weak ability of teachers to operate IT makes us think hard about finding a way to make learning more effective. Online learning can run smoothly. We conduct training activities independently, both online and offline, in institutions and also learn from various sources, both paid and free. The subjects of our research were teachers and education personnel at RA Masyithoh Sutoragan. The research method was carried out using a qualitative descriptive analysis method through face-to-face interviews. The results of the study show that the strategy for developing the RA head's entrepreneurial competency through the use of YouTube social media has made RA Masyithoh Sutoragan get additional income from YouTube bonuses, and RA is increasingly in demand by the community, as evidenced by the increasing number of students every year. Teachers are getting more creative. The activities and creativity of teachers are uploaded to cyberspace via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.Keywords:   Entrepreneurship Competence, Social Media, Youtube

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of brain-based learning accompanied by e-comic media on the motivation and learning outcomes of vocational physics students in understanding energy and its changes. The type of research used was a true experimental study with a posttest-only control design. The research population consists of 10th-grade students at one vocational school in Mojokerto Regency. The measurement tools used in this study are a learning motivation questionnaire and a posttest, which will be statistically analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality and the independent samples t-test for hypothesis testing. The validity test results for the learning motivation instrument yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.497 and an r-table value of 0.282. The validity test results indicate that the learning motivation instrument is valid for the study. The normality test results for the learning motivation data and physics learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes showed a significant effect. The results of the T-test for learning outcomes in the experimental class were 0.111 and in the control class were 0.000. Therefore, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a significant effect of the application of the brain-based learning model supported by e-comic media on the motivation and physics learning outcomes of vocational students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of criminal violations of the General Election that occurred in Jambi Province during the 2024 Election, and analyze them from the perspectives of positive law and Islamic criminal law. This study uses a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach, combining literature studies and field data from the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), the Law Enforcement Agency (Gakkumdu), and court decisions. The results indicate that the most prevalent violations are money politics, off-schedule campaigning, violations of the neutrality of civil servants (ASN), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the spread of hoaxes, vote rigging, and the destruction of campaign materials. Of the total findings and reports in Jambi Province, the majority are administrative violations. However, seven cases were processed as election crimes, some of which have reached the investigation stage and court decisions. From an Islamic criminal law perspective, these violations are categorized as ta'zir crimes, with discretionary sanctions intended to provide a deterrent effect and safeguard the public interest. This study emphasizes the synergy between positive law and Islamic values in realizing honest, fair, and dignified elections.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Bungo Regency in handling criminal offenses in the 2024 Bungo Regent and Deputy Regent elections. This study uses an empirical juridical method with a case study approach to analyze the phenomena during the election process. The results show that Bawaslu maintains election integrity through prevention, supervision, and coordination with the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu). However, Bawaslu faces various obstacles such as limited human resources, budget, infrastructure, geographical complexity, and low public legal awareness. Other obstacles also arise from multi-interpretable regulatory aspects and limited time to handle violations. The Revote (PSU) case at 21 polling stations (TPS) in Bungo Regency is clear evidence of the importance of adequate supervision so that the democratic process runs honestly, fairly, and transparently. This study emphasizes the need to optimize prevention strategies, utilize technology, strengthen human resource capacity, and increase public participation so that Bawaslu's role is more effective in creating quality and dignified elections.
