Abstract

Floods occur when the overflowing water cannot be accommodated by the river and inundates the flat area around the river. Flood protection parapets are one method for dealing with flooding on the Jeroan River in Madiun Regency. The 300-meter-long parapet was built in 2019. However, water seepage outside the embankment caused landslides, which was a problem during maintenance. So, from 2020 to 2021, the handling of the Jeroan River is evaluated based on financial conditions and input from the work directors. The stability analysis method was carried out using Geoslope software under normal, earthquake and rapid drawdown conditions. The results of the research were carried out at a location in Gelonggong Village, which was evaluated with three conditions and the addition of simple concrete blocks. The results show the safety factor value for normal conditions is 1.80, earthquake conditions 1.32, and rapid drawdown 1.6. At this location, slope strength is not added because the location is far from residential areas, so it does not endanger residents. The results of the analysis carried out in Kedung Jati Village, where there were three conditions, strengthening gabions and adding flat plate concrete blocks, showed a normal safety factor value of 3.19, earthquake conditions 2.18, and rapid drawdown 3.07. In Warurejo Village, the normal safety factor value was 3.19, earthquake conditions 2.25, and rapid drawdown 3.20. In Babadan Lor Village, the normal safety factor value was 3.26, earthquake conditions 2.78, and rapid drawdown 3.20.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan Canva sebagai media pembuatan majalah sekolah mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah majalah karya mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan Canva dalam pembuatan majalah sekolah dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk majalah baik segi tampilan maupun konten lebih variatif serta dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa. Pemanfaatan teknologi dapat menjadi alternatif pada mata kuliah pembinaan majalah sekolah karena dapat meningkatkan minat mahasiswa. Canva berperan sebagai pendukung dalam proses pembuatan majalah sekolah karena menyajikan template yang menarik, gambar, warna, dan huruf. Desain akhir yang dihasilkan menjadi lebih variatif dan memiliki karakter sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Sehingga, hasil tersebut selain dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan  ajar juga merupakan salah satu cara untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, yakni mahasiswa mampu membuat karya dan mampu beradaptasi dengan teknologi.

Abstract

Education in the digital age demands innovative approaches to learning, particularly in developing problem-solving skills. The main problem faced in traditional education is the lack of real context and practical situations that stimulate students' critical and creative thinking. A potential solution to this problem is the utilization of YouTube as a problem-solving-based learning medium. YouTube provides access to a variety of educational content featuring case studies, simulations, and real-life examples, which can assist students in understanding and applying concepts in a more practical context. This study uses mixed research methods to investigate how YouTube can be utilized in problem-solving-based learning. Data collection was conducted through quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with students and educators who have used YouTube in their learning. Data analysis shows that the integration of YouTube in learning can improve students' concept understanding, facilitate problem identification and analysis, and support the real-time exchange of ideas and solutions through the interactivity of the platform. The results show the potential of YouTube as an innovative learning tool that can improve students' problem-solving skills. The use of educational videos and interactive features such as comments and live streaming encourage student engagement and collaborative learning. This research provides insights for educators in designing and implementing learning strategies that utilize digital technology effectively.

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the use of the Duolingo application in improving students’ vocabulary mastery to the eleventh-grade students of SMK Gemilang Modernland in the academic year 2022/2023 and to find out students’ perception on the use of Duolingo application in improving their vocabulary mastery. In this research, the researcher takes mixed-method research: (a) quantitative: pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test, and (b) qualitative: questionnaire. The researcher takes students in XI AP of SMK Gemilang Modernland as her subject of the research with four meetings. Based on the tests result, the students’ score is increased. The mean score of pre-test is 67.84, and the mean score of post-test is 77.52. It shows that the post- test’s mean is higher than the pre-test’s mean. Based on the questionnaire, the result of the research showed that the use of Duolingo in teaching English has many positive effects to the students, such as; the Duolingo feature was helpful to improving their motivation to study English, the characteristics of Duolingo can improve their effort in learning and Duolingo also make the students enjoy the exercises in learning English. Furthermore, nearly all students feel that they will continue to use Duolingo to study English.

Abstract

Dams have an important role in controlling floods and providing water supply for infrastructure and community needs. The construction of the Pidekso Dam, as part of government efforts, requires research to determine earthquake parameters to ensure the safety of its structure. Pidekso Dam, located in the downstream Bengawan Solo river, is prone to earthquakes because it is adjacent to areas where earthquakes often occur. This study aims to determine the parameters of the earthquake coefficient Operating Basis Earthquakeee (OBE) and MaximumaDesignaEarthquakee (MDE) based on the 2017 earthquake map of Indonesia. Analysis was conducted to assess the risk of dam collapse due to earthquakes. Based on the dam risk class criteria, Pidekso Dam has a high risk class with a total weight of 30. For OBE earthquake analysis, the earthquake coefficient used ranges from 0.1 to 0.15 g, with a probability of being exceeded by 2% in 100 years. As for MDE earthquakes, the earthquake coefficient ranges from 0.5 to 0.6 g, with a repeat period T = 5000 years.

Abstract

AbstractFruit wastes are reported as among the main contributors to food waste production. They have an impact on the environment so they need to be treated. To reduce the negative effects, fruit wastes must be treated before they are released into the environment. Meanwhile, the fruit wastes have been reported about their functional properties and nutritional as bio-enzyme. This preliminary study aimed to provide information about metagenome bacteria of bio-enzymes from orange fruit wastes treated with different concentrations of probiotics in anaerobic fermentation. Bio-enzyme was a fermented solution made from a mixture of 15 g brown sugar: 5 kg orange fruit waste: and 12 L water. The fermentation process was carried out for 1 month and then the bioenzyme sample was taken 1 L for metagenome analysis. The metagenomic analysis was carried out using the next-generation sequencing (NGS) method for the 16S rRNA gene of bacteria by amplicon full-length sequencing with nanopore sequencing. In this research, phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), class Betaproteobacteria, order Burkholderiales, and family Comamonadaceae were the predominant bacterial group of the bio-enzyme that produced from orange fruit waste. Identification of bacterial species in the next research becomes important to understand the role of bacterial species in the biochemical metabolism of bio-enzyme products from orange fruit waste.AbstrakLimbah buah-buahan dilaporkan sebagai salah satu penyumbang utama produksi limbah makanan. Limbah buah mempunyai dampak terhadap lingkungan sehingga perlu ditangani. Limbah buah harus diolah terlebih dahulu untuk mengurangi dampak negatifnya sebelum dibuang ke lingkungan. Sementara itu, limbah buah telah dilaporkan mengenai sifat fungsional dan nutrisinya sebagai bio-enzim. Penelitian awal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai diversitas metagenom bakteri yang terdapat di produk bioenzim yang diproduksi dari limbah buah jeruk yang diberi perlakuan konsentrasi probiotik berbeda dalam fermentasi anaerobik. Bio-enzim merupakan larutan fermentasi yang terbuat dari campuran 15 g gula merah : 5 kg limbah buah jeruk : 12 L air. Proses fermentasi dilakukan selama 1 bulan dan kemudian sampel bioenzim diambil sebanyak 1 L untuk dianalisis metagenom. Analisis metagenomik bakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode next-generation sequencing (NGS) untuk analisis 16S rRNA gene melalui sekuensing amplikon dengan nanopore sequencing. Pada penelitian ini, keberadaan bakteri pada bio-enzim yang diproduksi dari limbah buah jeruk. Filum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), kelas Betaproteobacteria, ordo Burkholderiales, dan famili Comamonadaceae merupakan kelompok bakteri yang dominan di bio-enzim yang diproduksi dari limbah buah jeruk. Identifikasi spesies bakteri pada penelitian selanjutnya menjadi penting untuk mengetahui peranan spesies-spesies bakteri di metabolisme biokimiawi dari produk bio-enzim dari limbah buah jeruk.

Abstract

The intelligence of digitalization affects the lifestyle of Muslim youth. The variety of values produced, including negative values such as moral degradation and loss of wisdom in social media behavior (digital), is often witnessed in various statuses and comments. This study aims to analyze Husain Basyaiban's da'wah rhetoric through the TikTok platform in the review of challenges and opportunities in the digital era through Aristotle's rhetoric. The research method used is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this study indicate that Husain Basyaiban uses preaching rhetoric with word selection, language style based on tone, and language style based on sentence structure. Then, use the voice styles of pitch, pause, and rate. Finally, using gestures ranging from appropriate body posture and eye gaze, good appearance, and dress, as well as facial expressions and hand movements that adjust. In addition, some challenges must be faced, such as the bullying attitude of netizens, sensitivity to the environment, balancing education with da'wah content, and the need to be creative. Meanwhile, the opportunity for digital da'wah is that good rhetorical skills can persuade netizens and have implications for the number of followers as a target of da'wah.

Abstract

AbstrakIkan cempedik (Osteochilus spilurus) menjadi ikan liar sungai bernilai ekonomis tinggi di Belitung Timur sebagai ikan konsumsi. Pengetahuan nilai nutrisi Ikan cempedik diperlukan untuk memberikan informasi manfaat untuk kesehatan manusia dan dasar proses domestikasi. Penelitian terlaksana pada bulan Agustus - November 2016 dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi konsumsi dan kesukaan masyarakat, proses penanganan ikan, komposisi proksimat dan kandungan asam amino pada Ikan cempedik. Lebih dari 80% responden di Kecamatan Gantung dan Manggar, Belitung Timur yang mengenal ikan cempedik menyatakan mengkonsumsi dan menyukainya. Penanganan ikan ini diutamakan pada penarikan isi perut untuk mengurangi rasa pahit. Pengolahan didominasi oleh proses penggorengan. Kandungan protein Ikan Cempedik menunjukkan nilai 13,99% pada kondisi segar dan 62,63% pada produk goreng. Asam amino essensial yang teridentifikasi adalah histidin, iso leusin, leusin, lisin, metionin, fenilalanin, treonin, dan valin.Kata kunci: ikan cempedik; Belitung Timur; pahit; proksimat; asam aminoAbstractCempedik fish (Osteochilus spilurus) become high-value river wild fish in East Belitung as consumption fish. Knowledge of the nutritional value of Cempedik Fish is needed to provide information on benefits for human health and the basis of the domestication process. The research was carried out in August - November 2016 with a qualitative and quantitative descriptive method to identify the consumption and preferences of the people, the process of handling fish, the proximate composition and amino acid content of Cempedik Fish. More than 80% of respondents in Gantung and Manggar Subdistricts, East Belitung who know Cempedik Fish say they consume and like it. The handling of this fish takes precedence over the withdrawal of the stomach contents to reduce the bitter taste. Processing is dominated by the frying process. The protein content of Cempedik Fish shows a value of 13.99% in fresh conditions and 62.63% in fried products. The essential amino acids identified are histidine, ISO leucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, and valine.Keywords: cempedik fish; East Belitung; bitter; proximate; amino acid

Abstract

Learning statistics material is considered difficult by students. One technique to improve understanding and problem solving abilities in statistics material is the polya step. The aim of this research is to describe statistics learning with polya-based worksheets in junior high school students. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 32 students consisting of 15 male students and 17 female students. The instruments of this research are test sheets, teacher observation sheets and student observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The criteria for the success of this research are classical completeness more than equal to 75 and observation results in the good category. Based on the research results, it was obtained that the results of observing teacher activities were in the very good category, the results of student observations in the good category and classical completeness were 93.75%. The conclusion in this research is learning using media polya based worksheet with steps to understand the problem, prepare a plan, carry out the plan and check again. ABSTRAKPembelajaran pada materi statistika dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Salah satu teknik meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam materi statistika adalah dengan langkah polya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripskan pembelajaran statistika dengan LKS berbasis polya di siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 32 siswa yang terdiri 15 siswa laki-laki dan 17 siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar tes, lembar observasi guru dan lembar observasi siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.Kriteria keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah ketuntasan klasikal lebih dari sama dengan 75 dan hasil observasi pada kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil observasi kegiatan guru pada kategori sangat baik, hasil observasi siswa pada kategori baik dan ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 93,75%. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembeljaran dengan media LKS berbasis polya dengan langkah-langkah memahami masalah, menyusun rencana,melaksankan rencana dan mengecek kembali.

Abstract

Qanun Aceh No. 11 of 2008 concerning Protection of Children is based on the perspective that protection of children in all aspects is a part of the development activities and distinctive peculiarities of Aceh and promoting community life and nation in the Republic of Indonesia. Obligation to provide protection to children based on the principles of non-discrimination, the best interests of the child, right to life, survival, and development, and reward for the opinions of children. In the implementation, legal protection of children in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam not fully comply. Those constraint relating with the legislation, the body builder, body organizer, health facilities and membership. Keywords  :   Qanun, Protection of the Child,  Rights of the Child on Health
