Abstract

Discussion on legal protection for consumers regarding sales and purchase agreements based on standard clauses. The research was conducted using normative juridical methods. The results of the research concluded that legal protection for house sales and purchase agreements using standard clauses is that sales and purchase agreements that are usually made before the Deed of Sale and Purchase, can be canceled on the condition that the parties must know and agree with each other who will bind themselves in the agreement by including a clause that will override Article 1266 of the Civil Code, so that the conditions for canceling the PPJB can be carried out without the need for a judge's approval in court.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate among university graduates in Indonesia underscores the urgent need for universities to encourage students to become job creators. However, most previous studies have focused more on individual factors such as motivation, personality, or self-efficacy in relation to entrepreneurial intent, while the role of institutional support from universities and the process of internalizing an entrepreneurial mindset have rarely been studied comprehensively, especially in the context of private universities in East Java, which are characterized by an MSME-based economy and high graduate unemployment rates. The study aims to analyze the effect of university support on students’ entrepreneurial intentions, with entrepreneurial mindset as a mediating variable, and gender and training participation as moderators. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. This study population consists of private university students in East Java, with a total of 400 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The questionnaire instrument was analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that university support significantly influences entrepreneurial intention both directly and indirectly through entrepreneurial mindset. Multi-group analysis revealed that the effect of university support was stronger among female students and those who participated in entrepreneurship training. The findings highlight that campus-based support systems in the form of curriculum, training, mentoring, and business incubation can strengthen students' entrepreneurial mindset so that they are more creative, innovative, and dare to take risks in starting a business. The study’s novelty lies in integrating institutional and psychological factors within a single comprehensive model, specifically contextualized to East Java’s socio-economic dynamics. Theoretically, it extends the Theory of Planned Behavior by emphasizing the mediating role of the entrepreneurial mindset. In practice, it provides universities with a foundation for designing inclusive, gender-responsive, and experience-based entrepreneurship programs to reduce graduate unemployment.

Abstract

This article explores government intervention in market mechanisms from an Islamic economic perspective. In free market theory, the forces of demand and supply are believed to naturally create price equilibrium. However, in practice, market distortions often occur—such as monopolies, speculation, fraud in measurement, and domination by certain economic actors—resulting in social and economic inequalities that necessitate active government involvement. In Islamic economics, the market is not an entirely free entity but a system that must adhere to principles of justice, honesty, and balance. Hence, government intervention is not viewed as authoritarian but as a moral and religious obligation to protect public welfare (maslahah ‘ammah). This study employs a qualitative library research approach, analyzing both classical and contemporary Islamic economic literature, including the thoughts of al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah, and al-Mawardi. The findings reveal that government intervention is permissible in Islam when it aims to uphold Sharia values. Forms of intervention include market supervision through the hisbah institution, price regulation (tas’ir) during economic crises, and control over measuring instruments. In conclusion, government intervention in markets is an integral part of the Islamic economic system, aiming to establish justice and protect society. This perspective distinguishes Islamic economics from capitalism, which overly emphasizes individual freedom. Intervention in Islam is not about restriction but about guiding the market to remain ethical, fair, and compliant with Sharia principles.

Abstract

Public understanding of waqf in Indonesia remains limited, constraining its socio-economic potential, and is often treated as a mere educational deficit rather than a governance issue. This study examines the role of the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) in enhancing waqf literacy by analyzing how literacy initiatives are designed, implemented, evaluated, and institutionally mediated within Indonesia’s waqf governance system. Using a qualitative, document-based descriptive review that integrates a conceptual–normative approach with comparative institutional analysis, the research draws on BWI Annual Reports (2019–2023), the BWI Strategic Plan (2020–2024), and peer-reviewed literature. The findings show that BWI emphasizes productive waqf, multi-channel digital dissemination, and empowerment-oriented narratives, yet evaluates effectiveness primarily through output-based indicators that undercapture comprehension, engagement, and trust formation. Literacy outcomes are further shaped by regulatory overlap, digital asymmetry, resource allocation patterns, and limited participatory mechanisms. The study concludes that waqf literacy is institutionally mediated and governance-driven, underscoring the need for stronger accountability design, evaluative reform, and regulatory coherence.

Abstract

Vocational education plays a strategic role in increasing the competitiveness of the national workforce. With a work-based learning approach, vocational high schools are expected to be able to bridge the needs of industry through an adaptive curriculum, competency certification, and direct partnerships with the business/industry world. This study aims to describe the procedure for implementing problem-based learning (PBL) in the light vehicle engine maintenance subject, to analyze the improvement in learning outcomes after PBL, and to analyze the extent of the improvement in learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL in the light vehicle engine maintenance subject at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, a private vocational high school in Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative quasi-experimental approach (non-equivalent control group design). The PBL was tested on a sample of 60 students. Data were collected through tests and analyzed descriptively, independent t-test, and normalized gain. The results of this study showed a significant difference (sig. 0.004 < 0.05) between the PBL and control groups. The average N-Gain value is 0.54 (medium category). In addition, there is a significant increase in the average value of learning outcomes of class XI TKR B students who use the PBL model to 82, where previously the average value of students only reached 58. The results of this study explain that although both groups experienced an increase, the PBL group showed a greater and more consistent increase than the control group. It proves the significant effectiveness of the PBL in improving the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Ambon banana peel (ABP) is rich in phenolic compounds yet unstable to light and heat. Foam-mat drying (FMD) protects bioactive components and facilitates the development of nutraceutical products. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate FMD granules containing ABP for their antioxidant and antihypertensive activities. Granules were prepared with ABP at 1% (F1), 2.5% (F2), and 5% (F3) w/w, combined with 6% Tween-80 and 15% maltodextrin, dried at 40 °C for 60 min, and blended with excipients. Physical characteristics, pH, flowability, and antioxidant activity (ABTS assay) were assessed. Antihypertensive effects were tested in Wistar rats induced with 2% NaCl and treated orally for 14 days; captopril (5 mg/kg BW) served as a positive control. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA. All formulations produced free-flowing granules with a moisture content <2% and a dissolution time <5 min. Antioxidant inhibition increased with ABP content, with F3 showing the highest activity (71.3 ± 1.4%). F3 also achieved the greatest reductions in systolic (≈31%) and diastolic (≈39%) blood pressure, approaching the effect of captopril. Moreover, F3 exhibits strong antioxidant activity and significant antihypertensive effects, indicating potential as a sustainable nutraceutical for the management of hypertension. Further studies on product stability and clinical efficacy are warranted.

Abstract

The phenomenon of modern mosque management, which tends to be oriented toward cash balance accumulation (saving oriented), contradicts the practice of baitulmal in early Islam, which emphasized high liquidity for the rapid resolution of social problems. This study aims to analyze the revitalization of the baitulmal function through the implementation of the “Zero Balance” strategy at the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-comparative case study method, this study compares field data from interviews and observations with classical Islamic historical literature, particularly the book Al-Amwal by Abu Ubaid. The results of the study show that: (1) The application of the “Zero Balance” philosophy is a contemporary manifestation of the principle of fauriyah (immediate distribution) which rejects the hoarding of entrusted assets in order to maintain the economic circulation of the community; (2) The “Spearhead and Spearpoint” leadership strategy is effective in building strong social trust through the exemplary sacrifice of personal wealth by administrators, as practiced by the Companions; and (3) The transformation of the distribution pattern from consumptive assistance to productive empowerment (fiqh al-tamkin) is realized through an interest-free business capital scheme and operational independence support from the Mosque-Owned Enterprise (BUMas). This study concludes that the integration of prophetic values and modern management is capable of restoring the strategic role of mosques as centers of civilization and instruments of economic independence for the community.
