Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe Qur’anic learning strategies based on the tahsin approach in improving the quality of students’ Qur’an recitation at Bumrungsuksa Islamic Boarding School (BIS) Hat Yai, Thailand. The background of this research is rooted in the importance of accurate articulation of makharij al-huruf, mastery of letter characteristics, and correct application of tajwid rules in Qur’an recitation, particularly in Islamic boarding school–based educational institutions. Inaccuracies in these aspects may affect the quality of students’ recitation; therefore, structured, consistent, and continuous learning strategies are required. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the implementation of the International Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata Internasional / KKNI). The researcher was directly involved in tahsin learning activities, including student mentoring, observation of the learning process, and evaluation of Qur’an recitation. The findings indicate that tahsin learning at BIS Hat Yai is implemented intensively and continuously through the application of talaqqi, recitation submission, and habituation of Qur’an reading at specific times, such as after Subuh prayer, before Dhuhr, and before Maghrib. The learning process is further strengthened by intensive guidance provided by teachers and KKNI students. Supporting factors include a conducive boarding school system, consistent learning schedules, and high student motivation. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of differences in students’ initial recitation abilities, limited number of tahsin teachers, and language barriers. Problem-solving efforts include grouping students based on their recitation proficiency, strengthening the role of learning companions, and adjusting learning methods. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of tahsin-based Qur’anic learning strategies in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the "Komunikas Ceria" Wall Magazine Program as a school information medium for teaching positive communication to students at SD Negeri 14 Indralaya. The method used was descriptive qualitative research, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation throughout the program's implementation. The results showed that the program was effective in improving students' communication skills, as evidenced by their increased active participation in class discussions and their confidence in expressing ideas and opinions. Previously quieter students began to demonstrate greater self-confidence, while positive changes were also noted in social interactions between students. However, several challenges remain, particularly related to learning motivation, which still needs to be improved. This study concluded that the program's success depends not only on the implementation of learning techniques but also requires continuous support from parents and the school. It is recommended to continue this positive communication program with deeper integration into the curriculum and involving various stakeholders to enhance its comprehensive impact on students' socio-emotional development. Further research using mixed methods is also recommended to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the program's effectiveness

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms, firm size, and financial performance of manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Drawing upon agency theory and resource-based perspectives, this research examines how board size, the proportion of independent commissioners, and audit committee size influence financial performance, while also considering firm size as a key organizational characteristic. This study employs a quantitative explanatory design using secondary data obtained from annual reports of manufacturing companies over the 2019–2023 period. Panel data regression analysis is applied to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that corporate governance mechanisms significantly affect financial performance. Specifically, the proportion of independent commissioners and audit committee size show a positive and significant relationship with return on assets (ROA), suggesting that stronger monitoring mechanisms enhance financial outcomes. Firm size also demonstrates a significant positive effect on financial performance, implying that larger firms benefit from economies of scale and better access to resources. These results confirm the governance–performance nexus in an emerging market context. This study contributes to the corporate governance literature by providing recent empirical evidence from Indonesia and highlighting the importance of governance structure and firm characteristics in improving financial performance. The findings offer practical implications for regulators, investors, and corporate managers in strengthening governance practices to achieve sustainable financial performance.

Abstract

PT Pegadaian, as listed on its official website, is a fast-growing financial company. One of its key challenges is late installment payments, which can lead to financial losses. Using pawn customer data from 2013 to 2021, this study found that out of 534 customers, 68 were late in paying installments, and 10 did not pay. To address this issue, this research applies customer classification to identify borrowers who are more likely to pay on time. The classification model is developed using data mining with the C5.0 algorithm to generate decision-tree rules. Prior to modeling, the dataset is processed through the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) stages, including data selection, cleaning, and transformation. The proposed model produces 26 classification rules and achieves an accuracy of 87.04%. All data processing, modeling, and validation are conducted using RapidMiner Studio. Abstract

ONLINE SALES LAW IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF CONTEMPORARY FIQHThe rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed economic transaction mechanisms, particularly through online buying and selling activities. This study aims to analyze the legal status of online transactions from the perspective of contemporary Islamic jurisprudence by examining the principles of muamalah, the validity of digital contracts, the clarity of transaction objects, the legal responsibilities of involved parties, and the relevance of these practices to the objectives of Islamic law (maqasid al-sharia). This research employs a library-based qualitative method by reviewing classical and contemporary fiqh literature, DSN-MUI fatwas, and regulations concerning digital transactions. The findings indicate that online buying and selling are permissible and valid in Islamic law as long as they fulfill elements of mutual consent, honesty, transparency, and clarity of the transaction object. Digital agreements conducted through approval clicks or electronic messages are recognized as valid forms of al-bay‘ bi al-mu‘āṭah. Furthermore, features such as refunds, returns, and marketplace security systems align with the concept of khiyar in Islamic jurisprudence. From the maqasid al-sharia perspective, digital transactions are allowed as long as they bring benefits and remain free from gharar, tadlis, exploitation, or data misuse. This study concludes that Islamic jurisprudence is dynamic and capable of adapting to contemporary developments, including the challenges of modern digital commerce.

Abstract

Organizational culture has increasingly been recognized as a critical factor in the successful management of technology-driven innovation, particularly in the context of rapid digital transformation. Despite extensive research on innovation and technology adoption, existing studies often address organizational culture, innovation, and digital transformation in a fragmented manner. This study aims to examine the role of organizational culture in technology innovation management through a qualitative literature review. The review analyzes recent and reputable international studies to identify key cultural mechanisms that influence innovation processes and outcomes. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the selected literature was systematically examined to identify recurring themes related to organizational culture, leadership, digital transformation, and innovation performance. The findings reveal that organizational culture plays a central role in technology innovation management by shaping employee behavior, leadership effectiveness, digital capabilities, and strategic alignment. Innovation is found to frequently mediate the relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance, while digital transformation both depends on and reshapes organizational culture, indicating a reciprocal relationship. Furthermore, cultural resistance, lack of digital mindset, and misalignment of values emerge as major challenges in technology-driven innovation initiatives. This study contributes to the innovation management literature by providing an integrative synthesis that positions organizational culture as a strategic and dynamic capability in technology innovation management. The findings offer theoretical insights and practical implications for organizations seeking to align cultural transformation with technological innovation to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of integrated education in Aceh Besar, Indonesia, a region with strong Islamic traditions and the implementation of Islamic law, to explore how religious values are internalized while simultaneously fostering social cohesion and using a qualitative multiple case study design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Darul Imarah, SMP Negeri 1 Ingin Jaya, SMP Negeri Ali Hasjmy (a boarding school), SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam, SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Baro, and SMP Negeri 3 Ingin Jaya. The method used was a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and mechanisms through which Islamic education translates into social practices. The findings reveal three interrelated mechanisms: (1) the internalization of Islamic values is promoted through curricula and activities that incorporate local wisdom, such as meuseuraya; (2) social cohesion is strengthened through structured collaboration between schools, families, and community institutions, enabling students to practice empathy, cooperation, and civic responsibility; and (3) normative Islamic teachings are connected to contemporary educational needs, including ethical engagement with modern social and digital contexts. These mechanisms function as a coherent educational ecosystem in which ethical development and community integration mutually reinforce one another. The study demonstrates that integrated education can operationalize universal Islamic principles within culturally relevant frameworks, translating moral values into practical social behaviors. While situated in Aceh Besar, the findings highlight processes by which Islamic education can bridge spiritual formation and social cohesion in contexts where religion and local culture intersect.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments hold great potential, one of which is generative AI. Technology that is easily accessible and user-friendly tends to spread quickly, and BPS-Statistics of Indonesia is no exception. The challenges currently faced by BPS-Statistics of Indonesia, such as rapid data growth, high data demand, and data analysis and representation, encourage the institution to be adaptive to new technologies that can accelerate work processes. This research aims to determine the factors influencing the acceptance and use of generative AI (GenAI), such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and others, among BPS-Statistics of Indonesia employees, using Behavioral Intention as the central mediating variable that bridges the influence of these predictor factors on Use Behavior. The model also examines the relationships between external factors, such as Social Influence and Trust, and Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use, as well as their effects on Attitude. Additionally, it evaluates the influence of Hedonic Motivation, Facilitating Conditions, Perceived Severity, and Perceived Vulnerability on Behavioral Intention. Based on a survey of 166 respondents at BPS-Statistics of Indonesia, the results reveal that Attitude has a significant influence on Behavioral Intention, while Perceived Severity has a significant negative influence on Behavioral Intention. Furthermore, Behavioral Intention is also shown to have a significant positive influence on Use Behavior. These findings contribute theoretically to the development of technology adoption models in the public sector and have practical implications for BPS-Statistics of Indonesia in formulating AI usage policies.

Abstract

Donation fund management at Kemanggisan Foundation is still handled manually using Microsoft Excel, making it inefficient, error-prone, and difficult to access outside the foundation. In addition, donors must visit the foundation in person to donate, which is inconvenient. This study aims to design and implement a web-based donation fund management system to facilitate recording of income and expenses, generating financial reports, and enabling donors to donate online. The system was developed using the Waterfall model through requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. The system was designed using UML, implemented using PHP and MySQL, and tested using Blackbox Testing. The results show that the system can manage income, expenses, and financial reports automatically. User evaluation using a Likert questionnaire involving 45 respondents achieved a satisfaction score of 85.44% (strongly agree category), indicating that the system improves efficiency, accuracy, and donor convenience.
