Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil pengamatan selama praktek lapangan kependidikan penulis di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang menunjukkan Perepsi Pegawai Terhadap Kepemimpinan yang Melayani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data dan informasi mengenai Perepsi Pegawai Terhadap Kepemimpinan yang Melayani di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat dalam hal pemberdayaan, visi dan misi, kerendahan hati, kepercayaan, kasih sayang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif dengan populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang berjumlah 75 dan sampel sebanyak 43 orang. Penarikan sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin pada tingkat kesalahan 10% dengan teknik Stratified Proportional Random Sampling. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Perepsi Pegawai Terhadap Kepemimpinan Yang Melayani di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat dilihat dari aspek; (1) pemberdayaan berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,32, (2) visi dan misi berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,14, (3) kerendahan hati berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,46, (4) kepercayaan berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,00, (5) kasih sayang berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,12. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa menurut Perepsi Pegawai Terhadap Kepemimpinan Yang Melayani di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat sudah baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,21. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka kepemimpinan yang melayani di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Sumatera Barat perlu ditingkatkan lagi.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada observasi dan diskusi antara penulis dan penulis pegawai di dinas pendidikan kabupaten pasaman barat yang menunjukkan rendahnya kepuasan pegawai. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai penempatan terhadap kepuasan kerja para pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat tersebut, serta menilai signifikansi hubungan antara penempatan pegawai dan kepuasan kerja pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional untuk menyelidiki hubungan antar variabel. Populasi yang diteliti melibatkan 70 orang pegawai, dengan 39 orang di antaranya dipilih sebagai sampel dengan memakai teknik proporsional stratified random samplinng berdasarkan rumus Cochran. Instrumen yang dipergunakan yakni angket dengan skala Likert yang sudah di uji validitas serta reliabilitas. Temuan utama meliputi: 1) Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat dinilai tinggi dengan skor 4,13. 2) Penempatan Pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat mendapat dinilai tepat dengan skor 3,89. 3) Terdapatnya keberartian hubungan yang signifikan antara Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai serta Penempatan Pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat tingkat signifikansi 5%, ditunjukkan oleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,544 dan uji keberartian korelasi sebesar 3,941.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe how the influence of professionalism in managing village assets, optimizing the use of village assets and empowering the community so that it contributes to increasing village original income. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data. The data source in this research is secondary data. The object of this research is Kuala Sempang Village, Seri Kuala Lobam District, Bintan Regency. The results showed that the professionalism of village asset management had no significant effect on village original income, the optimization of the village assets utilization had a significant positive effect on village original income and community empowerment had no significant effect on village original income. So, in this study from the three variables only one variable has a significant positive effect on the village's original income. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, work experience and work motivation on employee performance. The type of research used in this study is associative research. The method that can be used in this study is to use structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis based on variance, namely Partial Least Square (PLS). SEM with variance-based PLS so that it is able to handle two conditions, namely conditions with unspecified factors and conditions where the solution is unacceptable. This study uses computer smart program PLS 3.3.3. The population of this study is Civil Servants in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Karimun Regency which amounts to 66 employees. The research data was collected by questionnaire instrument. The test results hypothesized the direct influence of workload with employee performance showed insignificant negative results (inner weight = -0.302, p = 0.149) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 1 because there is an insignificant influence between workloads on employee performance. The test results of the hypothesis of direct influence of work experience showed insignificant positive results (inner weight = 0.062, p = 0.717) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 2 because there is an insignificant influence between work experience and employee performance. The test results hypothesized the direct influence of work motivation showed insignificant positive results (inner weight = 0.211, p = 0.308) so it can be concluded that the results of the study rejected hypothesis 3 because there is an insignificant influence between work motivation and employee performance. The results showed that 12.3% of employee performance variables were influenced by workload variables, work experience and work motivation while the remaining 87.7% were influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of education level, work experience and work environment on job satisfaction through work motivation as an intervening variable. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Sampling using a survey method technique with the total population as a sample of 73 respondents. The data collection technique used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire to be analyzed. The instrument was calibrated using item validity and reliability coefficients using SEM-PLS analysis with the help of SmartPLS software. From the research results, it is known 1).education level has a significant effect on work motivation, 2).work experience directly has a significant effect on work motivation, 3).work environment directly has a significant effect on work motivation, 4).work motivation directly has a significant effect on job satisfaction, 5).level of education directly does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction, 6).work experience directly has a significant effect on job satisfaction, 7).work environment has a direct and insignificant effect on job satisfaction, 8).The level of education indirectly has a significant effect on job satisfaction through work motivation, 9).work experience indirectly has a significant effect on job satisfaction through work motivation, 10).The work environment indirectly has a significant effect on job satisfaction through work motivation.The coefficient of determination of the model of education level, work experience and work environment on job satisfaction is 0.462, meaning that job satisfaction can be influenced by education level, work experience and work environment by 46.2% and the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other variables outside research, while the model of education level, work experience and work environment on work motivation is 0.451, meaning that work motivation can be influenced by education level, work experience and work environment by 45.1% and the remaining 54.9% is influenced by other variables outside study.

Abstract

Stability is an important aspect that was studied in ship design as it relates to the safety of the ship when facing ocean waves. The tourist ship needed to have a good image in order to attract tourists to use its services. Good stability of the tourist ship was crucial in enhancing the image of the ship and attracting tourists to utilize its services. This research aimed to investigate the effect of concave on the U hull to improve ship stability. The study compared the stability test results of two hull designs: U hull with concave and without concave. The stability tests of both ship models were conducted through simulation methods. The simulations were performed under two conditions: when the tourist ship was empty and when it was fully loaded with passengers. The simulation results indicated that the design of the U hull with concave had a positive influence on ship stability, leading to improved stability. The concave design enhanced the ship's ability to return to its original position when encountering waves. Even in the presence of small waves, the tourist ship did not experience instability.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the quality of Shield Metal Arc Welding instruction in Class XI Welding Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 Bukittinggi through the integration of interactive media videos. Employing a class action research design with saturated sampling, the research findings revealed that the implementation of video tutorials significantly improved student motivation and learning outcomes. The use of video tutorials captured students' interest, resulting in increased motivation for learning Shield Metal Arc Welding. In the initial cycle, student motivation in Class XI Welding Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 Bukittinggi, as measured in meeting I, stood at 54%, indicating a less motivated state. By meeting II of cycle I, the motivation increased to 61%, categorized as moderately motivated. In the subsequent cycle, meeting I recorded a motivation level of 72%, demonstrating a motivated state, while meeting II in cycle II reached 82%, indicating a highly motivated state. Consequently, there was a noticeable progression in student learning motivation from cycle I to cycle II. Furthermore, student learning outcomes in Shield Metal Arc Welding for Class XI Welding Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 Bukittinggi improved when videos were utilized as interactive media. In cycle I, the average student learning outcome was 77.88, categorized as moderate. In cycle II, the average increased to 79.06, reflecting a high level of achievement. This indicates a positive shift in student learning outcomes, moving from moderate to good performance.

Abstract

This article discusses Students’ Regional Potential-based Project for Vocational Education in Engineering Field as a strategy to strengthen the quality of project-based learning implementation, covering project-based learning, a project task based on potential of student’s region, the seven standard elements on a project task based on potential of student’s region, the stages of the implementation, and its effectiveness. It was driven by the existence of enormous potentials in Indonesia which have not been optimally developed. Most of universities here are located in urban areas, while most of the students come from rural regions. The previous research discloses students’ positive perceptions toward this learning implementation. It helps them develop their soft skills, fosters better engagement with the learning process, and improves their 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity). The approach is able to serve as a model for vocational education learning, particularly in the field of engineering. It not only provides students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge, technology, and soft skills, but also contributes to students’ regional development. This article is highly beneficial for learning implementation in Indonesia, particularly in vocational education, as well as a reference for further studies.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital technologies has opened new opportunities for transforming vocational education, particularly in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining. Despite its vital role in preparing skilled workers, CNC instruction in Indonesian vocational schools remains constrained by teacher-cantered methods, static materials, and limited access to costly machines, resulting in low engagement and achievement. This study aimed to design, implement, and evaluate Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) learning media for CNC TU-2A machines to enhance students’ cognitive performance, psychomotor skills, and classroom participation. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) model across two cycles, the research involved 31 eleventh-grade Mechanical Engineering students at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Data were collected through cognitive tests, student activity observations, and surveys. Results showed significant improvements: average cognitive scores rose from 75.91 to 82.47, classical mastery increased from 54.83% to 100%, and psychomotor scores improved by 3.24 points. Student learning activities also climbed from 72.2% to 80.4%, with discussion and collaboration showing the highest gain (17%). While barriers such as device limitations and technical issues arose, they were addressed through device sharing, offline content, and teacher mentoring. Findings confirm AR as an effective, scalable tool for modernizing CNC instruction, fostering engagement, and preparing vocational students for Industry 4.0 learning demands.

Abstract

The COBa3CC model is a model that is the result of a collaboration based on 3 (three) circle components. That is; class-based spiritual pedagogical approach; school culture-based spiritual pedagogic approach; and a community-based spiritual pedagogic approach. The three components are mutually binding to each other. This study looked at the development of students’ religious attitudes in high school education through the COBa3CC Model. This research is qualitative, using data collection methods through observation or direct observation. In addition, to add more accurate data, the researcher used interviews with several teachers who had been previously appointed as resource persons. The results of the study show that the COBa3CC model in fostering students' religiosity has the scope of all aspects of learning. This model builds a school culture that is able to shape student character with the help of school social institutions so that values are formed and instilled in students. The implementation process will run optimally and get results or expectations if all education stakeholders in schools are involved together. The main thing is the involvement of the student's family component; the community and the environment around the school are an integral part of efforts to implement fostering students' religiosity. If the three components above work together and contribute to implementing religious values properly and simultaneously, a strong and dignified national character will be formed accompanied by the practice of religious values, not only limited to students, but will also contribute to educational institutions and the society.
