Abstract

This study designs and evaluates an Internet of Things (IoT)–based integrated farming prototype to address limited land availability and improve water-use efficiency at a small scale. The system employs an ESP32-S3 microcontroller integrated with soil moisture (SEN0308), water temperature (DS18B20), air temperature–humidity (DHT11), pH, TDS, and a YF-B1 flowmeter sensors. Measurements are acquired periodically and transmitted in real time to Google Sheets via a Google Apps Script Web App for logging and dashboard visualization. Irrigation control is implemented using a hysteresis strategy: the solenoid valve is activated (ON) when soil moisture falls below 50% and deactivated (OFF) when it exceeds 55%, with an additional flow-duration limit to prevent rapid ON–OFF cycling. An 8-day experiment shows stable system operation. The average water temperature was 29.01°C (range 22.34–35.94°C), air humidity reached 73.52%, and soil moisture averaged 52.47%; pH was 6.35 (4.13–7.00), TDS was 664 ppm (583–760 ppm), and the flow rate was 0.36 L/min with a total distributed volume of approximately 4,190 L. The system consistently turns the solenoid ON when soil moisture is below the ON threshold (50%) and turns it OFF when it exceeds the OFF threshold (55%), thereby maintaining soil moisture within the intended operating range. Compared with manual irrigation over the same testing period (6,588.08 L), the proposed system reduced water consumption by 36.4% (to 4,190.00 L). The main contribution of this work is the application of a simple hysteresis logic that is proven stable and efficient for drip irrigation in a small-scale integrated farming system. These findings confirm that IoT technology can modernize integrated farming on limited land while supporting circular agriculture and food resilience through data-driven monitoring and automated decision-making.

Abstract

Teachers as the spearhead of the educational process, play a strategic role in creating and maintaining a conducive learning climate. This study aims to describe the strategies of Fiqh teachers in creating a conducive classroom climate at MIN 1 Sinjai and the obstacles faced in its implementation. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study revealed that the strategic steps of Fiqh teachers include: (1) building harmonious relationships with students through open communication and empathy; (2) providing a clean, comfortable, and adaptable physical classroom environment; (3) encouraging interaction between students based on Islamic values such as mutual respect and mutual cooperation; (4) motivating student activity through various assignments, group discussions, and question and answer sessions; and (5) implementing discipline through mutually agreed rules and giving awards for student achievements. The main challenges include the variety of student characters and abilities, plus less obedient students, so patience and a flexible teaching approach are needed to maintain a conducive classroom climate. This strategy has proven crucial in creating a safe, orderly, and optimal classroom atmosphere for successful Fiqh learning. The implications of this research for Islamic jurisprudence teachers are the need for teacher training in inclusive classroom strategies, the development of an interaction-based curriculum for Islamic education, and continuous evaluation to overcome obstacles to student character, in order to create productive and adequate learning.

Abstract

Nominee agreements, also known as name-lending agreements, are sometimes used as a means of legal circumvention. They are misused by providing opportunities for foreigners to evade the law and acquire land in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the legal position of nominee agreements from the perspective of contract law and national agrarian law, as well as to compare them with regulations in several other countries. The normative legal research method was used in this investigation. The results show that nominee agreements are legally invalid because they violate the provisions of the Basic Agrarian Law and do not meet the requirements for a valid agreement, especially in relation to the element of valid causa. Therefore, strict regulations are needed to ensure legal certainty and protect national agrarian sovereignty.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of public services, productivity, and organizational effectiveness among State Civil Apparatus (ASN), as it supports the effective execution of duties and may extend beyond formally assigned job responsibilities. OCB contributes to the development of a harmonious work environment, strengthens employee engagement, enhances teamwork, and serves as an internal control mechanism that reduces the potential for fraudulent behavior within organizations. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the effects of leadership, work commitment, and discipline on OCB at the Regional Secretariat of Mandailing Natal Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a path analysis model to assess the relationships between independent variables and the dependent variable. Research were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires administered to employees of the Regional Secretariat of Mandailing Natal Regency. To ensure comprehensive results, a saturated sampling technique was utilized, encompassing the entire population of 83 employees. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the examined variables have a positive and significant effect on OCB; however, partial analysis reveals no significant individual effect on OCB. These findings suggest that other factors may influence the relationships between the independent variables and OCB.

Abstract

One-stop public service malls are designed to reduce citizens’ transaction costs by consolidating multiple services in a single location. Yet early-stage implementation often faces adoption and credibility challenges. This study investigates how outreach effectiveness and inter-organizational coordination shape perceived service quality in a one-stop public service mall in Padang Panjang, Indonesia. Using a single-case qualitative design, the study draws on interviews with key stakeholders, non-participant observation, and document review, analyzed through triangulation and a mechanism-oriented coding scheme. Findings show that outreach is most effective when it functions as citizen preparedness infrastructure, providing standardized, actionable information on requirements, process flows, operating hours, and realistic completion expectations, thereby strengthening assurance before arrival. Coordination affects service quality primarily by producing reliability through multi-tenant operational consistency, including stable staffing, uniform application of standards, synchronized information updates, and rapid problem-solving. Crucially, outreach and coordination are tightly coupled: when outreach raises expectations faster than operational reliability improves, credibility erodes and adoption slows. The study proposes a credibility-first operating model for early-stage one-stop malls, emphasizing a single source of truth for public information, enforceable tenant commitments, daily monitoring with escalation, and closed-loop complaint governance.
