Abstract

Problem-solving and decision-making are crucial competencies in the educational setting, indispensable for tackling the multitude of difficulties that educators and administrators encounter on a daily basis. This paper describes the theoretical foundations and real-world uses of these processes in educational environments. The article emphasises the significance of utilising the IDEAL model (Identify, Define, Explore, Anticipate, and Look Back) proposed by Wehmeyer as a problem-solving framework. Using library research, researchers gather, analyse, and arrange data from journals, books, and past studies on the adoption of management methods in the field of education, especially in problem solving and decision-making. This paper highlights the significant influence of organised problem-solving and strategic decision-making on educational outcomes, emphasising their crucial role in promoting a flexible and flourishing educational environment.

Abstract

Dalam pengolahan nilai di SMK Bhima Sakti Way Jepara saat ini masih bersifat manual, sehingga banyak waktu dan tenaga diperlukan untuk melakukan tugas tersebut. Tujuan dari tugas ini adalah mengembangkan aplikasi pengolahan nilai bersifat komputerisasi. Upaya dalam pengolahan data dan informasi akan berhasil dengan perubahan yang lebih baik pada sistem yang ada. Aplikasi pengolahan nilai online SMK Bhima Sakti Way Jepara adalah aplikasi yang menangani pengolahan nilai mata pelajaran yang didapatkan para siswa. Pengolahan nilai ini meliputi penilaian tugas, ujian tengah semester, dan ujian akhir semester. Dalam aplikasi ini juga terdapat pendataan yang diperlukan dalam pengolahan nilai yaitu pendataan siswa, guru, mata pelajaran, kelas. Selain itu, sebagai sistem yang berbasis web dan online, sistem ini dapat diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun secara online menggunakan akses internet. Sehingga infomasi yang disampaikan tanpa batas wilayah dan waktu. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP (Personal Home Page) dan database MySQL yang dapat digunakan dalam berbagai macam sistem operasi komputer maupun telepon seluler.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to better understand how students enrolled in the Education Technology Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor use digital media to manage their mental health. Descriptive qualitative research methodologies were used in this study, and data was gathered through interviews. 84 respondents, who were Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor students studying educational technology in semesters 1, 3, 5, and 7, participated in this survey. The findings of this study suggest that students enrolled in the Educational Technology Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor may have difficulties managing their mental health as a result of digital media. Student responses made during interviews make it clear that digital media can improve awareness and comprehension of mental health management. The study's conclusion is that students in Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor's Education Technology Study Program have significant mental health effects from digital media. It is therefore envisaged that students will be able to focus more on how digital media is used to manage mental health.

Abstract

This research aims to increase understanding of the influence of AI Chat GPT technology on the mindset of students in the Educational Technology Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods with data collection techniques through questionnaires. This research involved respondents consisting of Educational Technology students in semesters 1, 3, 5 and 7 at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. The results of this research show that AI Chat GPT technology can influence the mindset of students in the Educational Technology Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. This is evident from students' statements during the questionnaire that AI Chat GPT technology can influence students' mindsets. This research concludes that AI Chat GPT technology greatly influences the mindset of students in the Educational Technology Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. Therefore, it is hoped that students will pay more attention to using AI Chat GPT Technology in lectures.

Abstract

Lactic acid is a chemical with widespread applications, mainly in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical as well as food industries. One of the major uses of lactic acid is the polylactic acid (PLA) feedstock which is biodegradable and biocompatible as an alternative to plastic derived from fossil fuels. Efforts continue to be made to reduce the cost of producing PLA in order to compete with the conventional petrochemical-based plastics. This include the use of molasses as a raw material because it is cheap and contains high glucose. The purpose of this study was to obtain cell concentrations through the addition of starter volume that produces high concentrations of lactic acid and to obtain the growth kinetics of Lactobacillus acidophilus during the fermentation process. This study was conducted in several stages; the design of bioreactors, inoculation of Lactobacillus acidophilus, and fermentation of molasses. In a batch system, molasses substrate was directly inserted as much as 500 ml in the fermentor and the addition of starter volume of Lactobacillus acidophilus was 1; 3; 5 dan 10% v/v. The fermentation of molasses for 72 hours and the product was analysed every 8 hours. The highest concentration of lactic acid produced in batch fermented molasses was added to 5% (v/v) starter volume with 72 hours of fermentation time, which was 23.1 mg/L, with value the carrying-capacity coefficient (k) and the maximum net specific growth rate (net) were 0.2379 h-1 and 0.0160 h-1 respectively.

Abstract

This study presents an investigation of the use of STEM Project-Based Learning (PjBL-STEM) as a treatment in the experimental class compared to conventional learning in the control class in improving students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation. The focus of the study was Pascal's Law lessons with a special project in the form of developing a simple hydraulic jack. So far, science learning carried out in schools has made students complain, as it is still rote, teacher-centered, unrelated to real-life developments, and rarely integrates technology. This study, therefore, used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving 60 ninth-grade students in Pasaman Regency who were evenly divided into control and experimental classes using purposive random sampling techniques. Data was collected through a questionnaire on critical thinking skills and learning motivation, after the implementation of PjBL-STEM. The results demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups, with an independent T-test yielding a value of 0.24 for critical thinking skills and 0.33 for learning motivation. The PjBL-STEM model has been proven to improve student's critical thinking skills with an N-Gain of 0.46 (moderate category) and students' learning motivation with an N-Gain of 0.49 (moderate category).      Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning motivation, Pascal's Law, PjBL-STEM. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i4.pp1976-1999

Abstract

The results of the initial observation and questionnaire distributed to visitors of the Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya library revealed that the library cannot provide digital references. Library visitors want a digital library that can display the catalog of books available in the library. This research aims to design the UI/UX of a digital library mobile application and evaluate the design results using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The research method uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method. The research results in a UI/UX design for a mobile-based digital library application tailored to user needs using the User Centered Design (UCD) method. Two stages of testing using usability testing with the Maze design tool scored 73, which is quite good, and System Usability Testing (SUS) scored 70.25% (Good). In general, the UI/UX design of the digital library application meets user needs and can be implemented immediately.Hasil observasi dan Kuisioner tahap awal yang dibagikan kepada pengunjung perpustakaan Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya, ditemukan permasalahan bahwa saat ini Perpustakaan belum mampu menyediakan referensi secara digital. Pengunjung perpustakaan menginginkan adanya perpustakaan digital yang dapat melihat katalog dari buku yang ada di perpustakaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk merancang UI/UX aplikasi mobile perpustakaan digital dan mengevaluasi hasil perancangan menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Hasil penelitian berupa rancangan desain UI/UX untuk aplikasi perpustakaan digital berbasis mobile sesuai kebutuhan pengguna dengan menerapkan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Untuk pengujian menggunakan 2 tahap yaitu menggunakan usability testing dengan tools Maze design dengan score 73 yaitu cukup baik dan pengujian System Usability Testing (SUS) mendapatkan score hasil 70,25% (Good). Secara umum rancangan UI/UX aplikasi perpustakaan digital telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan dapat segera diimplementasikan.

Abstract

Village fund budget receipts are insufficient to meet the targets in the Village Fund Assistance Program in Mekarsari Village. This study aims to obtain a recommendation system design using the SAW method to users so that there are no mistakes in beneficiaries. This research method uses the Literature Study method through books  and journals related to the decision support system of aid recipients as well as interview methods to the village. The method of data collection is carried out through observation and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of SAW on BLT DD beneficiaries in Mekarsari Village can help the government in solving the problem of inaccurate target recipients so that the results are more accurate and in accordance with community expectations.Penerimaan anggaran dana desa tidak mencukupi untuk memenuhi target dalam Program Bantuan Dana Desa di Desa Mekarsari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan rancangan sistem rekomendasi menggunakan metode SAW kepada pengguna agar tidak ada kesalahan penerima bantuan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Studi Pustaka melalui buku dan jurnal terkait sistem pendukung keputusan penerima bantuan serta metode wawancara kepada pihak desa. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi SAW pada penerima bantuan BLT DD di Desa Mekarsari ini dapat membantu pemerintah dalam menyelesaikan masalah ketidaktepat sasaran penerima bantuan tersebut sehingga hasilnya lebih akurat dan sesuai harapan masyarakat.

Abstract

The focus of this research is on developing user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) to assist farmers in identifying and overcoming common agricultural issues, such as plant diseases, limited technology knowledge, suboptimal fertilizer selection, and adverse weather impacts. The Design Sprint methodology, comprising five stages, namely Understand, Diverge, Decide, Prototype, and Validate, is employed in the design of a prototype with features such as plant disease scanning for rapid identification, direct consultation with agricultural experts, and e-commerce functionality for agricultural purchases. Validity testing is conducted using the maze design method, revealing promising results: an average time efficiency of 51%, indicating task completion success for 41% of participants. Additionally, qualitative feedback from 20 participants and opinion scale assessments indicate high user satisfaction with the mobile-based smart farming application design.Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada pengembangan antarmuka pengguna (UI) dan pengalaman pengguna (UX) untuk membantu petani mengidentifikasi serta mengatasi masalah umum dalam pertanian, seperti penyakit tanaman, keterbatasan pengetahuan teknologi, pemilihan pupuk yang kurang optimal, dan dampak negatif cuaca. Metode Design Sprint, yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu Understand, Diverge, Decide, Prototype, dan Validate, diterapkan dalam perancangan prototype dengan fitur-fitur seperti pemindaian penyakit tanaman untuk identifikasi cepat, konsultasi langsung dengan ahli pertanian, dan fungsionalitas e-commerce untuk pembelian kebutuhan pertanian. Pengujian validate dilakukan menggunakan metode maze design, yang mengungkapkan hasil yang menjanjikan: efisiensi waktu rata- rata sebesar 51%, menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam menyelesaikan tugas bagi 41% peserta. Selain itu, umpan balik kualitatif dari 20 peserta dan penilaian skala opini menunjukkan kepuasan pengguna yang tinggi terhadap desain aplikasi pertanian pintar berbasis mobile.

Abstract

The development of the times continues to advance, especially in the world of education, especially in knowledge regarding the introduction of subject matter. Particular learning or educational media are needed to make it easier and motivate students. This research aims to produce interactive motion comic learning media featuring the characters Khalid bin Walid and Georgius Theodorus against the backdrop of the Yarmouk war story. The method used is the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results are interactive motion comic media for the Al-Quran Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. The interactive media was then validated using a Likert scale with 20 students as respondents, and the test results showed a score of 82.4%, which was included in the very feasible category.Perkembangan zaman yang terus maju terutama dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya dalam pengetahuan tentang pengenalan materi pelajaran. Untuk mempermudah dan memotivasi siswa diperlukan suatu media pembelajaran atau edukasi tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif motion comic yang menampilkan tokoh Khalid bin Walid dan Georgius Theodorus dengan latar belakang kisah perang Yarmouk. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yang meliputi analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Hasil penelitian berupa media interaktif motion comic untuk Pondok Pesantren Al-Quran Al-Hikmah. Media interaktif kemudian di uji validasi dengan menggunakan skala likert dengan 20 santri sebagai responden, dan hasil uji menujukan skor 82,4% yang termasuk kategori sangat layak.
