Abstract

Madrasah management is an activity to empower and coordinate all resources through the planning process, organize, move or implement and supervise to achieve predetermined goals in an effective and efficient manner, including managing teacher professionalism, which can be carried out through education at a higher level according to academic qualifications, Teacher Certification program, Education and Training and training for teachers, Reading Teacher Movement (G2M), KKG organization (Teacher Working Group) and always productive in producing works in the field of education. Characteristics of professional teachers include obeying regulations, maintaining and improving professional organizations, maintaining relationships with peers, guiding students, creating a good atmosphere in the workplace, obeying leaders and love of work.

Abstract

Perusahaan penambangan batugamping PT Eternal Richway  merupakan perusahaan penanaman modal asing (PMA) semula luasnya 592 ha dan sekarang bertambah menjadi 149 ha dengan kapasitas produksinya mencapai 3.000.000 ton/tahun, berada di Desa Kaong dan Desa Pangelak yang memegang teguh hukum adat Dayak Deah, sehingga berpotensi adanya gesekan ekonomi, sosial maupun lingkungan dengan masyarakat. Terdapat kesenjangan antara pelaporan dengan kenyataan di lapangann yang terkesan ditutup tutupi, sehingga besar kemungkinan konflik akan muncul dipermukaan. Kesenjangan ini harus dibuka agar pemerintah daerah dapat mengambil langkah antisipasi konflik. Evaluasi ketaatan pengelolaan dampak lingkungan dapat membawa perbaikan pada kinerja perusahaan, sehingga berkontribusi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat ketaatan PT Eternal Richway terhadap aturan pengelolaan dampak lingkungan pertambangan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan penerapan metode penelitian campuran (mix method). Metode campuran ini menerapkan strategi triangulasi konkuren untuk mengumpulkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif secara bersamaan, serta mengintegrasikan data tersebut pada tahap interpretasi dan pembahasan. Analisis ketaatan menggunakan perhitungan ketaatan berdasarkan adopsi dan modifikasi PROPER kategori Biru dengan indikator utama: pengendalian pencemaran air dan udara, pengelolaan B3 dan limbah B3, pengendalian kerusakan lahan, dan pengelolaan sampah. Penilaian realisasi RKL-RPL menggunakan metode checklist kemudian dihitung prosentasenya. Penentuan tingkat ketaatan akhir dilakukan dengan tingkat ketaatan yang telah diadopsi dan dimodifikasi oleh penulis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat ketaatan akhir pelaksanaan RKL-RPL PT Eternal Richway adalah 65,45% dengan status tingkat ketaatan “Cukup Taat” artinya pelaksanaan RKL-RPL belum optimal, dan perlu adanya perbaikan dalam pelaksanaannya.

Abstract

The Monte Carlo Simulation Method is one of the forecasting methods that uses random numbers, specifically through the use of a Linear Congruential Generator and mathematical equations for prediction, forecasting, estimation, and risk analysis. The Monte Carlo Simulation Method with one iteration has a high level of accuracy, as evidenced by previous research. The more iterations used, the more accurate the forecasting results. Therefore, the author is interested in examining how well the Monte Carlo Simulation Method with N iterations performs in forecasting. The study of the Monte Carlo Simulation Method with N iterations will be conducted on the forecast of the number of visitors to Fort Rotterdam. The aim of this research is to determine the accuracy of the Monte Carlo Simulation Method with N iterations for forecasting the number of visitors to Fort Rotterdam. The MAPE values from 2013 to 2018 using the Monte Carlo Simulation Method with N iterations sequentially are 16%, 13%, 13%, 12%, 1008%, and 31%. The forecasting ability from 2013 to 2016 falls into the good category, the forecasting for 2017 falls into the poor category, and the forecasting for 2018 falls into the fair category.

Abstract

Background of the study: Implementation open access (OA) have pushed journal articles become more visible and increase in citations of articles. Whether it is the general case for authors in all university?. Purpose: The aim of this study is to analyze the advantage of OA on numbers of citations of article journals published by authors from Universitas Surabaya, Indonesia. Method: The methods of analysis employed are descriptive analysis and independent sample t-test. Findings: The results showed three key findings, those are (1) the number of Scopus indexed OA articles at Universitas Surabaya is increased by 23% in 2022, (2) the majority of article publications are in OA journals, representing 70% of the 514 articles in question. (3) The t-test results indicated a significant difference with a value of t = 0.022 and a significance level of p < 0.05. Specifically, the number of citations was found to be higher in articles published in non-OA access journals than those in published in OA journals. Conclusion: The number of citations is not only affected by OA feature but also influenced by various factors, such as the reputation (quartile) of the journal, the scope of research collaboration, and the number of authors.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ethical sensitivity and professional commitment on whistleblowing intentions by adding power distance as a moderating variable. The population of this study were public accountants at Office of Public Accountant (KAP) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Consisting of 13 offices with a total of 77 respondents selected using the convenience sampling method. This research is a study that uses a quantitative approach. This study uses primary data by distributing questionnaires. The regression method is used as a data analysis method which is processed using IBM SPSS 23. The results of the study indicate that ethical sensitivity has a positive effect on whistleblowing intentions. Professional commitment has a positive effect on whistleblowing intentions. Power distance does not weaken the relationship between ethical sensitivity and whistleblowing intentions, and power distance weakens the relationship between professional commitment and whistleblowing intentions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepuasan pengguna terhadap aplikasi Sobat IndiHome, sebuah channel digital yang menawarkan informasi promo IndiHome melalui media sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS), dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi, dan kuesioner. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari 188 pengguna aplikasi yang terdaftar di kantor Telkom Witel Sumsel, dengan sampel sebanyak 65 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan Rumus Slovin. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linier berganda, termasuk uji F, uji t, dan uji R², menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai R² sebesar 0,898, yang berarti 89,8% kepuasan pengguna dipengaruhi secara bersamaan oleh variabel independen: Isi (X1), Akurasi (X2), Bentuk (X3), Kemudahan (X4), dan Ketepatan Waktu (X5). Sisa 10,2% kepuasan pengguna dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kata Kunci: Sobat IndiHome, End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS)

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology in modern times has a great influence in various aspects of life, including in the world of education. One example is the presence of ChatGPT among students in learning activities. The use of ChatGPT has many benefits but the use of this technology must still be addressed wisely to avoid ethical issues, copyright and plagiarism. This study aims to determine what factors influence the use of ChatGPT by students of the University of North Sumatra in education. By using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the variables used, namely the UTAUT2 model. The findings of this study state that 8 hypotheses of the relationship between variables tested in the study, of which 4 hypotheses of the relationship between variables are accepted and 4 hypotheses of the relationship between variables are rejected.

Abstract

Fiscal decentralization is closely tied to a country's economic development, with one of its main objectives being the enhancement of public service efficiency, particularly government spending. Government expenditures reflect policy decisions, including providing essential services such as education through HDI. However, many studies dispute the notion that decentralization automatically improves resource allocation efficiency. This research aims to: 1) assess the efficiency of government spending on education in regencies and cities before and after fiscal decentralization, and 2) identify factors influencing this efficiency. The study uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate efficiency levels and Tobit regression to analyze the factors affecting efficiency. DEA results show that regencies and cities in Papua have the lowest efficiency (63%), while those in Sumatera have the highest (92%). The Tobit regression model indicates that, for the pre-decentralization period, only the student-teacher ratio is significant, while after decentralization, population size, student-teacher ratio, and region dummy become significant. The findings suggest that improving efficiency in education spending, both before and after decentralization, is critical. Future research should expand the study period, include other sectors like health, and consider the role of the private sector in education. This study contributes to understanding fiscal decentralization's impact on education efficiency and its broader implications for regional and national development.

Abstract

Training spoken English tutors requires a variety of resources, including audio-visual references. However, popular social media tutorials often focus on teaching specific English materials, neglecting broader teaching techniques. Ideal tutors need a positive and engaging personality, knowledge transfer strategies, adaptable approaches to classroom conditions, meticulous preparation, and effective wrap-up activities - elements that are missing from most tutorial videos. This study investigates the potential of short documentary films as a reference for teaching techniques for 13 prospective tutors in an intermediate English class. Through an integrated mentoring program for the production of short documentaries, the study explores, describes and addresses the challenges of teaching preparation through observation, interviews and literature review. It also analyzes the potential of documentaries to support teaching and formulates criteria for effective documentary content relevant to teacher preparation. The findings suggest that integrating documentary film production into the English language teaching curriculum can equip tutors with the necessary skills for successful micro-teaching experiences. This approach allows tutors to create personalized short documentaries that serve as a reference for teaching techniques tailored to their specific pre-teaching needs. Tutors gain a deeper understanding and ability to demonstrate not only teaching techniques, but also classroom management elements such as preparation, wrap-up activities, brainstorming and teaching approaches.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mendiskusikan proses dan hasil implementasi pemodelan arus stator motor induksi tiga fasa dengan metode Gear. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan program simulasi motor listrik yang mampu menampilkan karakteristik dinamik arus stator motor induksi tiga fasa. Metodologi penyelesaian penelitian ini dimulai dari ide dasar, studi literature, perancangan, pembuatan dan pengujian software. Penerapan metode Gear dibuat dengan bahasa Python. Hasil simulasi arus stator yang diamati pada kondisi transien dan tunak, yaitu nilai maksimum, nilai minimum, waktu transisi dan nilai peak-to-peak. Hasil simulasi tersebut dibandingkan dengan hasil simulasi menggunakan modul solver ODE15 yang tersedia pada Matlab. Simulator yang dibuat dapat mensimulasikan perilaku dinamik motor induksi tiga fasa dengan perbedaan 1,5 %, 0,93 % dan 1,5 % secara berturut-turut untuk arus stator fasa-a, arus stator fasa-b dan arus stator fasa-c.Kata kunci: model dinamik, motor induksi, metode Gear, ODE15 ABSTRACTThis study discusses the process and results of implementing the stator current modeling of the three-phase induction motor using the Gear method. This study aims to produce an electric motor simulation program that can display the dynamic characteristics of the stator current of a three-phase induction motor. The methodology of completing this research is the basic idea, literature study, design, creation, and software testing. The application of the Gear method is made with the Python programming language. Stator current simulation results are observed in transient and steady conditions, namely the maximum value, minimum value, transition time, and peak-to-peak value. The simulation results are compared with the simulation results using the ODE15 solver module available in Matlab. The simulator created can simulate the dynamic behavior of the stator current of a three-phase induction motor with a difference of 1.5%, 0.93%, and 1.5% respectively for phase-a, phase-b, and phase-c.Keywords: dynamic model, induction motor, Gear method, ODE15
