Abstract

This study examines the challenges and problems faced by Islamic education amid the complex dynamics of globalization. While globalization brings positive impacts through advances in information and communication technology, it also poses challenges such as the infiltration of global cultural values that do not always align with Islamic principles. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing from scholarly sources in national journals and recent academic books. The findings reveal that Islamic education encounters internal challenges such as conventional teaching methods, curricula that are unresponsive to changing times, and low digital literacy among educators. Meanwhile, external challenges include the secularization of education, unequal access, technological revolutions, and multicultural issues. To address these challenges, it is necessary to reformulate an integrative curriculum, improve teacher professionalism, and create educational environments that support Islamic values. This article recommends a transformative and adaptive approach to Islamic education that remains firmly rooted in the values of tawhid and akhlaq al-karimah in facing global challenges.

Abstract

Humans are not merely thinking beings but also emotional and spiritual creatures. However, modern education tends to prioritize the cognitive dimension and academic achievement, while psychological and spiritual aspects are often neglected. This imbalance has resulted in the emergence of intellectually capable generations who may lack emotional maturity and moral integrity. Therefore, an educational approach that incorporates philosophical, psychological, and Islamic values is essential in shaping a holistic human being. This study aims to analyze the nature of humans from a psychological perspective and its implications for designing holistic, learner-centered education. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data collection was carried out through documentary studies by reading and reviewing written sources such as scientific books, journal articles, and other academic literature relevant to the research topic. The data were analyzed using content analysis, which includes identifying themes, categorizing key ideas, and drawing conceptual meanings from the collected data. The results show that from a psychological perspective, humans possess innate potentials that develop through specific stages, are influenced by environmental factors, and have a fundamental need for self-actualization. Humanistic, cognitive, and behaviorist psychological approaches all contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of human nature. The findings reinforce the notion that education focused solely on cognitive development is insufficient for shaping a well-rounded personality. Therefore, the education system must be oriented toward balanced development of the cognitive, affective, socialand spiritual dimensions of learners.

Abstract

Abstract

Various studies show that learning evaluation instruments in the field still dominantly emphasize memorization aspects and do not fully measure students' higher-level thinking skills. The mismatch between learning objectives and evaluation instruments has an impact on the low validity of learning outcomes. This research aims to identify fundamental principles in the development of test-based evaluation instruments and assess their effectiveness in representing learning outcomes. This research adopts qualitative method with descriptive-analytical research type and uses literature review technique. Data were collected through documentation study of national journal articles, textbooks, and relevant digital documents. The technique applied to analyze the data was content analysis. The findings of this study indicate that an effective evaluation instrument must fulfill the principles of validity, reliability, objectivity, and practicality, and be supported by the principles of integration, pedagogical value, accountability, and continuity. Instruments built based on these principles not only act as instruments for measuring cognitive achievement, but also as reflection tools that encourage the spirit of learning and continuous improvement of teaching.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Islamic education in encouraging the advancement of science and technology (science and technology) in the era of globalization. In facing the challenges of digitalization and value degradation, Islamic education is expected to be able to integrate Islamic values with technological developments harmoniously. The research method used is library research through analyzing various relevant literature sources. Data collection is done by tracing and analyzing various literatures, including books, scientific journals, and policy documents relevant to the theme of Islamic education. In addition, researchers also use qualitative techniques in analyzing data, which will then be presented descriptively. The results of the study show that Islamic education has great potential in forming a generation that is not only superior in science and technology, but also has good morals. The strategies highlighted include increasing the digital competence of educators, strengthening Islamic digital literacy, developing Islamic digital content, innovating learning methods, and integrating digital ethics in the curriculum. This research confirms that Islamic education is not an obstacle to technological progress, but a strategic partner in creating a modern civilization based on spiritual and moral values.

Abstract

In an effort to achieve the goals of national education, the government provides recognition to teachers and lecturers as stipulated in the National Education System Law (Sisdiknas). This recognition serves as an acknowledgment of the vital role educators play as agents of change in society. Teachers who demonstrate high performance and dedication are considered deserving of appreciation due to their significant contributions in shaping the character and intelligence of students. The awarding of honors to outstanding and high-quality teachers is not only a form of motivation but also serves to promote increased professionalism among educators. Such recognition reflects a concrete effort to foster a strong work ethic and moral responsibility in guiding the next generation. As the quality of educators improves, it is expected that the overall standard of national education will also be elevated. In addition to recognition, protection of the teaching profession is equally important. This protection may take the form of legal guarantees, security in carrying out duties, and the safeguarding of professional rights. With such protections in place, teachers can perform their responsibilities with a sense of security and peace of mind, which positively influences their effectiveness and productivity in the learning process. The responsibility of education goes beyond teaching; it also involves the development of students' character and personality. Teachers are expected to guide students to become individuals who are devoted to God Almighty, possess noble character, are responsible, creative, independent, resilient, democratic, and professional in their respective fields. This is part of the broader national vision to enlighten the life of the nation, as mandated by the constitution.

Abstract

This abstract discusses learning innovations in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on information technology as part of the digital transformation in Islamic education. This research aims to identify and analyze the application of information technology in the PAI learning process to improve the effectiveness, interactivity, and accessibility of Islamic education. A specific fact that is the focus is the rapid development of digital technology that influences traditional learning methods, as well as the urgent need to integrate technology into the PAI curriculum to suit the demands of the times. The research method uses a qualitative approach with case studies in several Islamic educational institutions that have implemented digital technology in PAI learning. The results of the research show that the use of information technology, such as digital learning applications, e-learning platforms and interactive multimedia, can increase student learning motivation, broaden the reach of education and support more personal and contextual learning. This research provides strategic recommendations for curriculum developers and educators to optimize the use of technology in PAI learning, while also emphasizing the importance of digital transformation as an effort to modernize sustainable Islamic education. Thus, PAI learning innovations based on information technology are key in facing the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.

Abstract

Assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is often still focused on the cognitive aspect, while the affective and psychomotor aspects receive insufficient attention. This contradicts the principle of educational assessment, which should holistically encompass knowledge, attitudes, and skills. This study aims to examine the implementation of assessment in all three aspects of PAI across various educational levels, identify challenges in developing a holistic assessment system, and propose an integrative assessment model based on competencies and character within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is a qualitative study with a descriptive-analytic approach based on literature review and document analysis. The results show that affective and psychomotor assessments are still partial and lack standardization, especially outside Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren. The main challenges include limited assessment instruments, the absence of cross-level guidelines, and low teacher capacity in designing holistic assessments. Therefore, an integrative assessment model is needed that aligns with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, combining authentic and character-based assessments. This study offers an assessment framework that includes indicators of spiritual, social, cognitive, and religious practice competencies. It is expected that this model can serve as a solution in realizing a well-rounded and balanced Pancasila student profile.
