Abstract

Tree graph is a connected graph and has no circuits. Tree graphs used in this study include: broom graph, firework graph, banana tree graph, centipede graph, E graph, and double star graph. Graph coloring is the process of giving color to graph elements with the rule that neighboring elements must not have the same color and the number of colors used must be as minimal as possible. b-Coloring of a graph G is a coloring of the vertices of G such that each color class has at least one vertex adjacent to all other color classes. The b-Chromatic number of a graph G is denoted by φ (G), is the largest integer k such that G has a b-coloring with k colors. The limit of b-coloring of graph G with maximum degree ∆(G) is as follows. χ(G)≤φ(G)≤∆(G)+1.χ(G) is the chromatic number of a graph G where χ(G) is the minimum value of the color required for proper coloring of graph G. While ∆(G) is the maximum degree of the vertices in graph G. This study uses an exploratory research type with axiomatic deductive method and pattern detection method. Based on the results of this study, the results of the b-coloring analysis on the tree graph family are known. The results of this study are expected to be used as study material and development of scientific knowledge related to b-coloring of other graphs

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the prevalence and progression dynamics of Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA) among non-English major university students by comparing first-semester (S1, novice) and third-semester (S3, intermediate) learners in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Lumajang. This investigation is theoretically grounded in Horwitz, Horwitz, & Cope’s (1986) seminal conceptualization of FLA as a distinct, situation-specific construct. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey design was employed that involved 40 university students, consisting of 20 S1 students and 20 S3 students. The primary instrument was the 33-item Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS), which was adapted and translated into Bahasa Indonesia. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics and an Independent Samples T-Test for inter-group comparison. Descriptive results indicated an overall moderate-to-high level of FLA among the participants. Comparative analysis revealed a statistically significant reduction in overall FLA scores for S3 students compared to S1 students. Further analysis of the FLCAS components demonstrated that this overall reduction was overwhelmingly concentrated within the Fear of Negative Evaluation (FNE) sub-component. In contrast, Communication Apprehension (CA) and Test Anxiety (TA) showed no significant reduction and remained persistent affective barriers across both groups. The findings suggest that while exposure and adaptation partially mitigate the fear of judgment (FNE), the inherent pressures of oral performance and high-stakes assessment (CA, TA) persist in the English class.

Abstract

In graph theory, understanding the labeling of graphs and hypergraphs provides valuable insights into their structural properties and applications. A hypergraph generalizes the notion of a conventional graph, defined as a mathematical structure built from a vertex set V and a hyperedge set E, where each hyperedge is allowed to connect two or more vertices simultaneously. The essential distinction between a graph and a hypergraph lies in their edges. While in a graph a single edge connects exactly two vertices, in a hypergraph a single hyperedge may connect any number of vertices, including two. A hypergraph is considered to admit a super (a, d) -hyperedge antimagic total labeling, such that the vertex label functions f: V(H)  1, 2, 3, ....., V(H) then f: E(H)  V(H) + 1, ....., V(H) + V(H) and weight w(ei) = ∑ f(ei) + ∑ f(Vi,j), where i denotes the number of hyperedges, j represents the number of vertices contained in a hyperedge, and e_i refers to the set of vertices and its associated edges with weight w(ei) for each hyperedge. A super (a, d) -hyperedge antimagic total labeling is formulated as a labeling scheme based on arithmetic progressions, where ???? serves as the initial value and d denotes the common difference between consecutive labels. In this scheme, the total weight of a hyperedge is determined by deriving from the sum of the vertex labels and the label of the respective hyperedge. The labels are arranged in an arithmetic sequence, ensuring that each hyperedge has a distinct weight. This study focuses on several special classes of hypergraphs, namely, the volcano graph, the semi-parachute graph, and the comb product of graphs, to implement and examine the characteristics of the super (a, d)-hyperedge antimagic total labeling. By focusing on these graph classes, the study contributes to combinatorics by offering a deeper understanding of hypergraph labeling schemes and their potential applications in network theory, coding theory, and data modeling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Discovery Learning with e-Worksheet GeoGebra on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTs AT-Taqwa Bondowoso. A quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design was conducted with a control group (VIII D) and an experimental group (VIII C). The results of the study show that the use of e-Worksheet GeoGebra with the Discovery Learning method enhances student activity and learning outcomes. The homogeneity test (p = 0.155) and normality test (p > 0.05) indicated that the data were homogeneous and normally distributed. The gain score analysis showed a higher average score increase in the experimental group (11.81) compared to the control group (5.56). The posttest t-test (t = 3.8416, p = 0.001) and gain score t-test (t = 4.877, p = 0.000) showed significant differences between the two groups. Therefore, Discovery Learning using e-Worksheet GeoGebra has a significant effect and is more effective than the conventional method in improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Urban expansion has led to a significant decline in agricultural land and green open spaces. Urban farming emerges as an alternative approach by optimizing and managing limited open areas among urban structures. Urban farming initiatives conducted by the Flamboyan Dasawisma Group in Padaleu Village, Kambu District, Kendari City, provide green vegetables as a nutritional source, enhance environmental quality, and support efforts to mitigate the impacts of global warming. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve community knowledge and skills while increasing awareness of the importance of utilizing household yard spaces to achieve family food security and environmental sustainability through urban farming practices. The program was implemented through educational outreach to community groups about the benefits and application of urban farming, followed by hands-on mentoring in establishing an urban farming garden as a demonstration model for the Padaleu Village community. The findings reveal a positive response from members of the Flamboyan Dasawisma Group, along with strong expectations for the program's continued support. This community service initiative is anticipated to provide tangible benefits to the local community, particularly the Flamboyan Dasawisma Group, by reducing household expenditures. Furthermore, community members demonstrated high enthusiasm for cultivating vegetables using the urban farming system.

Abstract

Penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) seperti ChatGPT telah membawa perubahan signifikan pada dunia pendidikan, terutama sebagai media pembelajaran mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan penggunaan aplikasi ChatGPT dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa sebagai media pembelajaran mandiri bagi mahasiswaPendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner online menggunakan Google Forms yang berisi 18 pertanyaan skala Likert. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 43 mahasiswa PGSD yang telah menggunakan ChatGPT. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menentukan efektivitas penggunaanaplikasi ChatGPT dalam membantu pembelajaran mandiri yang optimal di era digital ini. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi ChatGPT sebagai sumbe rpembelajaran mandiri secara efektif meningkatkan literasi digital mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Penggunaan aplikasi ChatGPT membantu mahasiswa mengembangkan keterampilan pembelajaran mandiri, sehingga mereka dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara optimal di era digital. Oleh karena itu, ChatGPT dapat menjadi alat yang berharga dalam proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa, terutama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital, yang sangat penting didunia saat ini.

Abstract

Sucolor Village possesses significant local economic potential, particularly in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) sector. However, the utilization of digital technology for product marketing remains limited, resulting in restricted market access and low competitiveness of local products. This activity aims to optimize digital marketing strategies based on local community development to support UMKM sustainability and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Sucolor Village. The method employed in this initiative is the ADDIE training model, which includes digital marketing training, branding optimization, and marketing strategies based on social media and e-commerce. This activity involves empowering the local community, particularly women and youth groups, to enhance digital skills and product innovation. As a result of this program, participants demonstrated significant improvement in digital marketing competence, with average post-training scores increasing from 1.7-2.3 to 3.9-4.3 across key indicators such as branding, content creation, and marketplace management. A digital catalog website was successfully developed, and local UMKM began actively promoting their products online. Additionally, the introduction of coffee-themed batik products reinforced local identity and broadened the creative economy. Overall, this community service proved to be an effective way to enhance digital literacy, expand market reach, and increase the economic resilience of rural entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Packaging design and marketing strategy play an important role in improving product competitiveness, especially for community-based enterprises in rural areas that focus on local economic development. Tanggul Wetan Village offers a variety of superior products made by local business communities, such as bolen, getuk singkong, and prol tape, which have great potential to expand into wider markets. However, several challenges remain, including the lack of innovation in packaging design, the limited use of digital marketing technology, and the absence of effective and sustainable promotional strategies. This community service activity aimed to analyze and develop optimal strategies in packaging design and marketing to enhance product excellence and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8, SDG 10, and SDG 12. The program was implemented using the ADDIE training model, which consists of five stages: analysis of community needs, design of training approaches, development of training materials, implementation of training, mentoring and assistance, and finally, evaluation. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ abilities to create attractive and informative packaging, as well as an increased understanding of digital marketing platforms. Based on pre- and post-assessment data, participants demonstrated measurable progress: packaging design skills increased from 2.3 to 4.1, branding and logo from 1.9 to 3.8, marketing strategy from 2.5 to 4.3, digital marketing from 1.7 to 3.9, and content creation from 2.0 to 4.0 (on a 1–5 scale). Several products were successfully rebranded with better packaging and labeling, making them more competitive in the market. This activity not only increased the marketability of local products but also demonstrated the importance of design and marketing innovation as a pathway for empowering rural communities and supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Perkembangan media digital mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam penyajian dan konsumsi iklan televisi. Iklan TV tidak hanya ditayangkan melalui televisi konvensional, tetapi juga disebarluaskan melalui platform digital seperti YouTube, sehingga memperluas jangkauan audiens dan memperkaya konteks pemaknaan pesan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis makna kontekstual dalam bahasa iklan TV Indonesia dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi bagaimana konteks sosial dan situasional memengaruhi pesan yang disampaikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis semantik. Data penelitian berupa ujaran dan cuplikan bahasa dari beberapa iklan TV Indonesia yang diunggah ke YouTube. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak, catat, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan teori makna kontekstual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan TV Indonesia memanfaatkan berbagai wujud makna kontekstual, meliputi konteks orangan, situasi, tujuan, waktu, tempat, suasana, objek, serta kebahasaan. Setiap unsur konteks tersebut berperan dalam memperjelas, memperkuat, dan memperkaya pesan persuasif yang dibangun oleh iklan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa efektivitas iklan televisi dalam era digital sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan produsen iklan dalam memadukan elemen bahasa dan konteks secara tepat. Dengan demikian, makna kontekstual menjadi aspek penting dalam strategi komunikasi periklanan untuk menarik perhatian audiens dan membangun pemahaman pesan secara lebih mendalam.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires teachers not only to master technology but also to integrate it into meaningful learning practices. This community service program aimed to enhance the competencies of teachers at SMA Al-Furqan Jember in implementing deep learning supported by artificial intelligence (AI). The activity was conducted through an intensive workshop involving 16 teachers from various subject areas, focusing on strengthening AI literacy, understanding the concepts of deep learning namely meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning and utilizing Padlet TA and Gimkit as learning platforms. The implementation methods included needs analysis, theoretical and practical training sessions, as well as evaluation through pre-tests, post-tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed an improvement in teachers’ competencies in designing AI-assisted lesson plans, developing interactive learning activities, and understanding deep learning concepts more comprehensively. Teachers also expressed positive responses to the use of Padlet and Gimkit, as these tools were considered effective in increasing student engagement and learning creativity. This program demonstrates that practice-based mentoring is effective in supporting the sustainable implementation of deep learning in school-based instruction. ABSTRAK Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan menuntut guru tidak hanya menguasai teknologi, tetapi juga mampu mengintegrasikannya dalam pembelajaran yang bermakna. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMA Al-Furqan Jember dalam menerapkan pembelajaran deep learning berbantuan kecerdasan buatan (AI). Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui workshop intensif yang melibatkan 16 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran, dengan fokus pada penguatan literasi AI, pemahaman konsep deep learning yang meliputi meaningful, mindful, dan joyful learning, serta pemanfaatan platform Padlet TA dan Gimkit. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan teori dan praktik, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test, post-test, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbantuan AI, merancang aktivitas pembelajaran interaktif, serta memahami konsep pembelajaran mendalam secara lebih komprehensif. Guru juga memberikan respons positif terhadap penggunaan Padlet dan Gimkit karena dinilai mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendampingan berbasis praktik efektif dalam mendorong implementasi pembelajaran deep learning secara berkelanjutan di sekolah.
