Identification of post-harvest physiological deterioration (PPD) tolerance in cassava is crucial, as PPD significantly hampers the cassava tuberous root industry by shortening storage periods post-harvest and diminishing product quality. Characteristics linked to PPD tolerance encompass high carotenoid levels and low dry matter content (DMC). This study aimed to evaluate the PPD responses of six yellow fleshed and ten white-fleshed cassava tuberous roots and determine the source of PPD tolerance. PPD and DMC assessments were conducted using standard methods at three storage periods: 2, 5, and 10 days after harvest (DAH). The k-means clustering analysis revealed six clusters, each corresponding to distinct PPD symptom patterns and tolerance statuses. Cluster 1, comprising three yellow-fleshed and three white-fleshed cassava cultivars, demonstrated PPD tolerance with minimal symptoms up to 5 DAH. Clusters 2 and 3 exhibited a moderate PPD response with elevated symptoms at 5 DAH, comprising three yellow-fleshed and three white-fleshed cassava cultivars. Clusters 4 to 6 displayed a sensitive response to PPD, showcasing a significant increase in symptoms at 5 and 10 DAH, with four white-fleshed cassava cultivars identified within this cluster. These findings underscored the presence of PPD tolerance in both yellow-fleshed and white-fleshed cassava tuberous roots. The correlation between PPD and DMC was significant only at 2 DAH, displaying a moderate positive correlation. Consequently, this study identified three cultivars, “Carvita-25”, “Manggu”, and ““Ubi Kuning””, with high DMC and low PPD incidence at 5 DAH, suggesting their suitability for further breeding programs.

Culture is something that is vulnerable to change according to the times. The commitment of human resources in an organization is very important and influences the work relations. Organizational commitment cannot be separated from the term loyalty. Loyalty and commitment is a unity that has a confusing meaning. In simple terms, loyalty means how long employees work and obey the leadership's orders. This shows that maintaining commitment is an obligation for leaders. The commitment of human resources within the Bali BinaInsani Islamic Boarding School cannot be separated from the authority and power of the kiai as a leader. The kiai in the pesantren organization is the holder of full authority and power who can determine the path in maintaining the commitment of human resources of religious.

Aspects Tested in the Teaching Profession, according to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers Chapter IV Article 8 article 13 (in Komara, 2007) that in the teaching profession several aspects will be tested, including academic qualifications, competence, health physically and spiritually and have the ability to realize national education goals. Competence is knowledge, skills, and abilities or capabilities possessed by a person that have become part of him or herself so that they color their cognitive, affective and psychomotor behavior. This research aims to determine the professionalism performance of teachers. The method used in this research is a literature review study. It can be concluded that teacher performance is not fully supported by an adequate degree of competency mastery.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis kalimat sederhana menggunakan Konstituen Langsung atau KL. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami sejauh mana siswa mampu menganalisis kalimat sederhana menggunakan KL dan untuk mengidentifikasi area yang perlu ditingkatkan. Celah penelitian adalah untuk memberikan perhatian lebih pada konstituen langsung dalam kalimat. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dan menganalisis hasilnya. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Google Forms, tetapi karena pandemi COVID sembilan belas, hanya lima belas siswa yang berhasil mengisi formulir. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mampu menganalisis kalimat sederhana di tingkat kalimat permukaan, tetapi mereka gagal melakukannya di tingkat frasa dalam. Ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki pemahaman dasar tentang diagram pohon linguistik tetapi kurang pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang konstituensi di antara elemen-elemen di dalam diagram. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa ada kebutuhan untuk instruksi dan latihan lebih lanjut dalam menganalisis kalimat di tingkat frasa menggunakan KL.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga, citra merek, kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian produk Boba Quiquinian Drink di wilayah Medan Johor dan dapat memperkaya model penelitian yang menganalisis keputusan pembelian suatu produk, khususnya mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengaruh harga, citra merek dan kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian produk Boba Quiquinian Drink varian Bubble Tea. Hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat dan dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan bagi para pengusaha untuk mengutamakan faktor-faktor dalam usaha jasa minuman agar dapat berkembang dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk melanjutkan penelitian sebelumnya. Sampel yang diambil adalah konsumen Boba Quiquinian Drink yang membeli bubble tea di outlet wilayah Medan Johor. Dengan menggunakan metode sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi regresi linier berganda, uji F, uji t, koefisien determinasi dan koefisien korelasi.

The objectives of this experiment were to evaluate effects of seed treatment using local isolates of rhizobacteria on seed germination and seedling growth of hot pepper. Hot pepper seeds were treated with rhizobacterium isolates of Bacillus sp., Pseudomonas sp., or Serratia sp. and germinated using standard germination procedures. Subsequently, seedlings were transplanted into plastic pots containing a mixture of potting media. Germination was recorded at 7 and 14 days while seedling growth were recorded at 6 and 8 weeks after transplanting. Results of the experiments showed seed treatments using rhizobacteria significantly increased viability of the treated hot pepper seeds (percentage of increases as compared to untreated seeds in seed germination - up to 27%, PTM 11%, vigor index 31%, SPT 29%, KCT 29%, and reduction of T50 by 0.75 days). Some of the treatments also promoted growth of hot pepper seedlings. Although all of the rhizobacteria synthesized IAA, growth promoting effects of the rhizobacteria may not only be due to the synthesized growth regulator. Other factors may have involved in the possitive effects of the rhizobacteria on hot pepper seed germination and seedling growth. The success of culturing of "Kopyor" coconut (matured coconut with broken meat particles due to abnormal formation of endosperm) through embryo culture depends on the medium used. A revised protocol on medium embryo culture was done to increase embryo germination and plantlet production of kopyor coconut obtained from Sumenep. Embryos excised from mature nuts were cultured in solid Eeuwens basal media supplemented with 150 ml coconut water, 150 ml coconut milk, 50 mg/l thio-urea, and 100 mg/l thio-urea. Germinating embryos were transferred to solid Eeuwens basal media containing 100, 150, and 200 ml/l coconut water. Subsequent transfers of the germinating embryos to fresh media to complete seedling development were done at different periods of subculture, i.e., 1, 2, 3, and 4 months. The highest viability of kopyor embryo was shown by 150 ml/l coconut water, about 95% embryos in this medium germinated. At plantlet phase, addition of coconut water did not give a positive result to the growth of kopyor plantlets. However, coconut water could increase the complete plantlet, i.e., plantlet with shoot and good root. Growth and number of kopyor plantlets obtained were the best when the plantlets transferred into fresh medium every 2 months. A number of Trichosanthes species has been reported as a source of bioactive protein associated with defense mechanisms such as chitinase. Chitinase and peroxidase of crude protein extracted from leaves, roots, in vitro calli and shoots of T. tricuspidata had been analysed. Calli were induced on MS medium containing combinations of 1 µM NAA + 1 µM BA (K1), 2 µM NAA + 2 µM BA (K2), 3 µM NAA + 3 µM BA (K3), or 4 µM NAA + 4 µM BA (K4). Shoots were cultured in MS with 1 mg/l of BA, while leaves and roots were harvested from six-month old plants grown on the field. Results of the experiment suggested that K1-K4 medium could be used to induce calli although weight of calli from all medium composition was not significantly different (0.19-0.31 g/explant/4 weeks). Calli from K1 medium had the highest of total crude protein content (3.24 mg/ml). The highest of chitinase activity was found in in vitro shoots (6.51 mM pNP/hour/mg protein) and the highest peroxidase activity was in the plant roots (0.25 ∆ 420/minute/mg protein). This research was aimed at studying the effectiveness of mycorrhiza, inorganic and organic fertilizer (fish and shrimp waste) on growth, yield and quality of Aloe in peat soil. The study was conducted on peat area, North Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Mycorrhizal application levels (without mycorrhiza, Mycofer and mycorrhizal from pineapple's rhizosphere) were as main-plot. The inorganic fertilizer (composition of N:P:K:Mg) rates (without inorganic fertilizer; 5 : 4 : 7.5 : 2.5 g/plant; 10 : 8 : 15 : 5 g/plant; and 20 : 16 : 30 : 10 g/plant) were as sub-plot. Organic fertilizers: (fish; shrimp; fermented fish; and fermented shrimp wastes) were as sub-sub plot. The observed variables were: leaf width, leaf length, leaf fresh weight, plant dry weight, and nutrient uptake (N, P, K, Mg). The results showed that mycorrhizal application improved growth performance and increased N, P, Mg uptake. The best plant growth performance was achieved by N : P: K : Mg =10 : 8 : 15 : 5 g/plant and fermented shrimp waste treatments. The highest N, P, K, Mg nutrients uptake was achieved by application of fermented organic fertilizer. Combination of mycorrhiza from pineapple's rhizosphere with fermented fish and shrimp waste resulted in higher amino acids content compared to standard cultivation of Aloe vera Center in Pontianak.
