Abstract

Theft in the family is an increasingly troubling problem in Indonesia, because the impact is not only material, but also deep psychological and social for the victim. This research is to find out what are the limits of Evidence that must be confiscated in the case of theft that has been sold in the sale of goods in accordance with District Court Decision No.329/Pid.Bid/2023/PN.Kepanjen Malang funds Ratio decidendi District Court Decision No.329/Pid.Bid/2023/PN.Kepanjen Malang which does not require confiscation of Evidence resulting from Money Laundering Crime. This legal research uses a normative juridical method with Doctrinal Research type, which is research sourced from applicable laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theories and concepts and the views of legal scholars. In a legal perspective, the application of Article 480 of the Criminal Code aims to have a deterrent effect on parties involved in the trade of stolen goods. The legal and social implications of this family theft case are significant. On the one hand, this case reminds the importance of the role of the family as the guardian of morals and values in society, while on the other hand, this case triggers the urgency of reforming the justice system and the mechanism of restoration to the family. The criminal liability of the perpetrators in this case shows that although family relationships should encourage mutual trust, in this case, this was the main reason why the victim placed trust in the perpetrator. Stolen goods committed by third parties, in this case gold shops, also need more serious attention from law enforcement officials because they help perpetrators disguise the proceeds of crime.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of differentiated instruction in Chemistry subject for Grade 10 students across senior high schools in Gorontalo City using Stake’s Countenance Model. The evaluation focused on three key components: antecedent (lesson planning), transaction (instructional implementation), and outcome (student learning results). Data were collected through the analysis of lesson plans and teaching modules, classroom observations, teacher interviews, and assessments of student learning outcomes. The analysis employed both congruence and contingency approaches. The findings indicate that both lesson planning and instructional implementation fall into the "moderate" category, with average scores of 69.82% and 67.52%, respectively, while student learning outcomes were categorized as "good" with an average score of 68.89%. The contingency analysis revealed a misalignment between antecedent and transaction with the outcome, suggesting that student achievement was more strongly influenced by administrative targets (KKTP) rather than the effectiveness of differentiated instruction strategies. This study recommends the need for pedagogical training focused on strengthening conceptual understanding of differentiation, designing adaptive instructional materials, and applying authentic assessment practices to promote inclusive and responsive learning tailored to diverse student needs.

Abstract

Roses (Rosa sp.) are called the queen of all flowers because of their beauty, elegance, and fragrance. This ornamental plant possesses high economic value, attracts strong consumer demand, and can be cultivated commercially and systematically in alignment with market needs. In addition, many of the chemical contents in this flower make it a medicinal raw material, such as aroma therapy, anti-seizure, menstrual regulator, bile secretion medicine, and fever reducer. In order for rose plants to thrive and produce abundant flowers, they need sufficient nutrients, which can be provided through a mixture of Tithonia and cow dung manure. By mixing these two types of compost, the physical properties of the soil and the availability of microorganisms that decompose organic matter can be improved, allowing roses to grow more vigorously and produce more flowers. This community service activity aims to enhance the skills of PKK women in RT 20, Pakuan Baru Village, Jambi City in planting roses. The team conducted two stages, delivering material and direct practice. After the counseling, it was seen that the PKK women could receive the material explanation well.

Abstract

In the contemporary globalized landscape, proficient communication in English is crucial for educational success and worldwide interaction. Despite extensive formal education, many Indonesian students struggle with speaking fluently in real-life contexts. English-speaking clubs (ESCs) have emerged as extracurricular platforms to help students overcome these challenges by providing a supportive, interactive environment for practicing speaking skills. Using a qualitative descriptive design, this research investigates the students' perceptions of the benefits and challenges of participating in an ESC at a high school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Through in-depth interviews with eight active club members, the research identifies several themes. The findings show the advantages of joining ESC, including increased speaking practice, improved language skills, enhanced fluency, and greater confidence. However, due to scheduling constraints, students also face challenges in joining ESC, such as fear of making mistakes, anxiety in spontaneous speaking situations, and limited participation time. The results of this study highlight the significance of building helpful, structured environments within ESCs to foster students’ communicative competence and self-assurance in English. This research provides a constructive understanding for teachers and administrators seeking to improve ESC programs and boost foreign language competence.

The community service program is located in Dusun Suropati, Hargotirto Village, Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It focuses on three main programs: Dusun Bersinar (Drug-Free Hamlet), Pasar Online Kampung (Village Online Market), and Bincang Parenting dan Stunting (Parenting and Stunting Discussion). This program aims to create a healthy, safe, and productive environment. The Dusun Bersinar (Drug-Free Hamlet) program seeks to enhance public knowledge about the dangers of drugs, their health impacts, and legal consequences. This activity is carried out through public education and counseling under the theme "Living Without Drugs, Living More Meaningfully," involving health workers, the community, and the younger generation. The Pasar Online Kampung (Village Online Market) program supports MSMEs in expanding their market reach and equipping business actors with the skills to compete in the digital marketplace. This activity includes training small business owners on how to use social media for digital marketing. Meanwhile, the Bincang Parenting dan Stunting (Parenting and Stunting Discussion) program aims to raise awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition in preventing stunting and the significance of proper parenting for children's development. This program involves health workers, posyandu (integrated health service post) cadres, and mothers in interactive discussions to enhance understanding and awareness of the family's role in supporting optimal child growth. Combining these three programs is expected to significantly impact the community. A drug-free hamlet will create a safer and more conducive environment, market digitalization will improve the community’s economic well-being, and increased parenting awareness will result in a healthier and more intelligent generation. With collaboration between students and the community, this community service program is expected to be an innovative solution for developing a progressive, healthy, and prosperous village in a sustainable manner

Abstract

In the context of 21st-century globalization and technological progress, English has become a crucial worldwide lingua franca, especially in non-native English-speaking nations such as Indonesia. Although English has been included into the Indonesian education system at all levels, numerous students encounter difficulties in attaining oral fluency despite extensive formal training. This study examines the correlation between learner initiative and students' oral competency in English, specifically targeting learners in the English Language Education Department of a private institution in Yogyakarta. Utilizing a quantitative correlational study methodology, data were gathered from 97 students through a validated questionnaire to evaluate learner initiative and academic records to assess speaking competence. Descriptive analysis revealed a high level of learner initiative (M = 45.20) and good speaking ability (M = 3.35). Spearman’s rho correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant albeit modest positive association (rs = 0.367, p = 0.001) between learner initiative and speaking proficiency. These findings suggest that while initiative is meaningful in oral language development, it is not the sole determinant of speaking proficiency. The study highlights the need for instructional strategies that foster learner autonomy and address other influencing factors such as anxiety, interaction opportunities, and feedback. The findings supplement the expanding literature highlighting the significance of internal learner traits, especially initiative, as crucial determinants of success in EFL speaking performance

Abstract

Self-efficacy influences students' beliefs to achieve the desired results. The social environment was vulnerable to the development of student self-efficacy because it functioned as a source of information that students perceived. This study aimed to analyze student self-efficacy in terms of parental involvement and teacher and peer support. These participants involved 400 SMK students in Pasuruan Regency, who were selected using a multi-stage random sampling technique. The research instrument used a self-efficacy scale with the test results producing a reliability coefficient of .780, parental involvement .785, teacher support .572, and peer support .834. Data analysis used PLS-SEM. Based on the probability value of F-statistics, the p-value was .000 < α (α = .05), meaning that there was an influence from the three predictor variables simultaneously on student self-efficacy. Partially, the t-statistical value of the three variables was also proven to be greater than the t-table (1.96), with parental involvement of 2.868, teacher support of 8,970, and peer support of 4,101. Thus, simultaneously, predictor variables had an effect on self-efficacy, and partially, teacher support had the most significant effect, followed by peer support, and parental involvement had the slightest effect.

Abstract

The caliber of local government financial reports serves as a crucial metric for evaluating the degree of accountability and openness in public financial management.  Nonetheless, numerous local governments in Indonesia continue to face challenges in producing reliable financial reports that comply with accounting standards.  This study aims to investigate the impact of public accounting systems and budget transparency on the quality of local government financial reporting. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The study population encompasses all local governments in Indonesia, comprising 34 provinces, 416 regencies, and 98 cities.  All populations are surveyed using the census method.  Data were obtained from the 2023 BPK Audit Report, municipal budget records, and details regarding implementing SAP-based accounting systems. The research findings show that the public sector accounting system and budget transparency, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive impact on high-quality financial reporting. The determination coefficient (R2) of 0.682 shows that this component contributes 68.2% of the differences in high-quality local government financial reports. This study reveals that the integration between the implementation of the public sector accounting system and budget transparency plays an important role in realizing high-quality financial reporting. These findings are expected to be the basis for strengthening the regional financial governance reform agenda based on empirical evidence.
