Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the relationship between principals' interpersonal communication, work commitment, and work motivation with teacher performance at SMPN Pelaihari District, Tanah Laut Regency. This research is a correlational research with a descriptive-quantitative method. The research population are all teachers at SMPN Pelaihari District, Tanah Laut Regency as many as 147 people with a sample of 107 respondents taken by random sampling technique.The data collection uses questionnaire instruments and data analysis uses descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between: (1) interpersonal communication between the principal and teacher performance of 0.076, (2) work commitment with teacher performance of 0.181, (3) work motivation and teacher performance of 0.848, (4) Principal interpersonal communication with work commitment of 0.264, (5) Principal interpersonal communication with work motivation of 0.092, (6) Principal interpersonal communication through work commitment with teacher performance of 0.048, (7) Principal interpersonal communication through work motivation with teacher performance of 0.078. Based on the results of the determination coefficient test, it shows that the R Square value of the teacher performance variable is 0.334. The conclusion of this study is that the variables of interpersonal communication of principals, work commitment and work motivation affect the teacher performance by 33.4% while the remaining 66.6% is explained by other factors. Meanwhile, the R Square value of the work commitment variable is 0.346. This means that the variable of interpersonal communication of school principals is affected by work commitment by 34.6% and the rest are influenced by other factors, and interpersonal communication of school principals is affected by work motivation by 8.4% while the rest are explained by other factors outside the study.

Abstract

The urgency of curriculum in boarding schools is very important in realizing the effectiveness of education. Boarding education has a big role in teaching the values of discipline and independence. Educators and education units develop a curriculum that is in accordance with the conditions and needs, so that students can develop better knowledge and skills. Among the excellent boarding schools in Barito Kuala district are SMP GIBS and SMAS GIBS. Both are A-accredited schools that have implemented the 2013 curriculum and Merdeka curriculum since July 2022 at the same time. Based on interviews with teachers and education personnel, SMP GIBS and SMAS GIBS have achieved many achievements in both academic and non-academic fields with a quality learning system and complete facilities. This study aims to describe the analysis of curriculum needs, describe curriculum planning, explore curriculum implementation, and analyze curriculum evaluation at SMP GIBS and SMAS GIBS. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a multi-case study approach. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out with a single case analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification as well as cross-case analysis. While the validity of the data was checked using the technique of broadening perception, increasing persistence, and triangulation. The results showed that curriculum needs analysis, curriculum planning, curriculum implementation, and curriculum evaluation at SMP GIBS and SMAS GIBS are well prepared using complete data, in accordance with the conditions and needs of students, at the right time, and involve many parties both internal and external according to their respective duties, responsibilities, and interests. Thus, good curriculum management in boarding schools is achieved, resulting in good quality education.

Abstract

The aim of this research is a description of the character education development strategy at the selected sites which, among other things, has an influence on the indicators used, including the management strategy used, the process of empowering human resources (teachers), the existence of partnership participation, and the evaluation process of implementing programs. character building. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method which shows the results of the social situation in a comprehensive and in-depth manner based on analysis carried out by means of in-depth interviews with the sources used. The results of the research show that between the two sites (1) the strategy used in the character education process is preparation before implementing KBM and habituation to character education, (2) there are regular activities carried out to support the skills and professionalism of human resources (teachers), (3) Active collaborative participation among the school community (committee, parents/guardians, related agencies, and local residents), and (4) Periodic evaluation activities as material for improvement and development for the future regarding character education habits. Among the cross-site findings, there are differences between the two sites, namely (1) In site I, cooperative participation has not been carried out in a unified manner, in contrast to site II, there is awareness among related parties to advance the quality of character education, (2) other differences are in the determination of the parties involved. In the character education habituation process, site I empowers appropriate and competent parties to be involved in character education, unlike site II, there is implementation first followed by an evaluation, so that the results of the evaluation lead to decisions on the sustainability of the human resources (teachers) who carry out the education habituation. character, (3) the success of character education which is used by the parties (teachers) in site I, there is still a gap in self-awareness to develop themselves following training, and in site II there is a sense of interest in each teacher to participate in self-development.

Abstract

Rendahnya aktivitas, berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar siswa dalam penelitian ini menjadi permasalahannya. Proses pembelajaran selalu berjalan satu arah, tidak ada kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengekspresikan kreativitasnya, dan pembelajaran yang berlangsung kurang bermakna. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dan mendeskripsikan mengenai aktivitas guru, menganalisis aktivitas, berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar. Penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Subyek penelitian adalah dua puluh lima siswa kelas VA tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui ujian tertulis dan observasi, kemudian ditampilkan dengan menggunakan tabel dan grafik. Selanjutnya, dianalisis menggunakan persentase dan indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas guru terlaksana “sangat baik”, aktivitas siswa terlaksana “Hampir seluruh siswa aktif”, keterampilan berpikir kreatif terlaksana “Hampir seluruh siswa terampil” dan hasil belajarnya juga demikian memenuhi kriteria “Tuntas”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model MAGERN dapat meningkatkan aktivitas, berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu hal yang dibutuhkan oleh manusia untuk mempersiapkan diri menata masa depan yang lebih baik. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah menganalisis terkait dengan peningkatan aktivitas, motivasi, dan hasil belajar siswa pada muatan IPA dengan menggunakan model PROBECO pada siswa kelas V SDN Alalak Selatan 1 Banjarmasin. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Simpulan yang diambil berdasarkan paparan diatas ialah penggunaan model PROBECO pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V di SDN Alalak Selatan 1 dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dengan pencapaian kriteria yang sangat baik, meningkatkan aktivitas siswa menjadi kriteria yang sangat aktif, motivasi belajar dari siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria kualifikasi sangat tinggi, serta hasil belajar siswa pada mapel IPA mengalami ketuntasan belajar.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi di SDN Pemurus 2 Banjarmasin keterampilan siswa juga masih kurang yang membuat pembelajaran menjadi kurang bermakna, sehingga dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Tujuan penelitian ialah menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar, keterampilan kolaborasi, serta aktivitas pada mapek IPA penggunaan PITA sebagai model di SDN Pemurus 2 Banjarmasin. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Pada hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan pada tiga aspek (kognitif, psikomotorik, dan afektif) secara berkala. Peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi memiliki persentase menjadi 88,00% yang sebelumnya adalah 44,00%. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa menjadi 94,00% yang sebelumnya ialah 38,00%. Selanjutnya peningkatan aktivitas guru diperoleh menjadi 100% dari yang sebelumnya memiliki persentase 71,00%. Simpulan yang diambil berdasarkan paparan diatas ialah penggunaan model PITA pada siswa SDN Pemurus Dalam 2 mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar, keterampilan kolaborasi, serta aktivitas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini lebih tertarik pada bagaimana anak-anak belajar sains, seberapa aktif mereka, dan seberapa baik mereka berpikir kritis. Mereka tidak belajar sebanyak itu, mereka hanya belajar dalam satu arah, dan mereka tidak cukup berlatih berpikir kritis. Salah satu cara untuk mencoba memperbaikinya adalah dengan belajar menggunakan model Prima. Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Prima, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kemajuan dalam belajar sains. Studi tindakan berlangsung di kelas VB SDN Sungai Miai 10 selama tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketika model Prima digunakan, hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan keterlibatan siswa semuanya meningkat pesat. Ini membuktikan bahwa rencana pembelajaran Prima merupakan cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan tingkat pendidikan IPA.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) brings significant changes to the learning structure in elementary schools, including the simplification and reduction of material in several subjects. At SDN Sungai Miai 10, these adjustments pose challenges for teachers, such as limited training, student readiness, and learning time management. This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in adapting to the reduced material in the Independent Curriculum, identify the obstacles encountered, and evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method through in-depth interviews with the principal and class teachers directly involved in the curriculum's implementation. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns in the strategies used. Findings indicate that teachers addressed the reduced material by reinserting removed topics into relevant lessons, implementing project-based learning, a thematic approach, and formative assessment. These strategies increase student engagement, maintain conceptual understanding, and tailor learning to students' needs. However, the success of these strategies is greatly influenced by teacher readiness and ongoing training support. This study emphasizes the importance of supporting facilities, flexible teaching modules, and regular evaluation to ensure the effective implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a crucial element in the quality of education, influenced by various factors such as leadership style, work environment, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), interpersonal communication, and organizational commitment. These factors can interact and affect how teachers carry out their duties in the educational environment. However, the limited research that simultaneously evaluates the impact of these factors on teacher performance in a single region serves as an important basis for this study. The aim of this study is to comprehensively evaluate how leadership style, work environment, organizational citizenship behavior, interpersonal communication, and organizational commitment affect teacher performance. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of these factors into a single analysis, providing a broader understanding of teacher performance in Tabalong District. This study employs a quantitative approach with regression analysis to test the existing hypotheses. The results show that all the factors tested have a significant effect on teacher performance, with organizational commitment playing an important role in improving performance. These findings suggest that improving these factors can enhance educational quality through the improvement of teacher performance. In conclusion, this study emphasizes that to improve the quality of education, it is essential to address and strengthen the factors influencing teacher performance, particularly by enhancing organizational commitment, which has been shown to significantly impact teacher performance.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Guru – Guru di Sekolah Dasar dalam merancang model pembelajaran inovatif berbasis ketrampilan mengajar abad 21, sebagai Upaya dalam memenuhi kompetensi peserta didik Abad 21. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode cera,ah, diskusi dan praktek terbimbing. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Melayu 5, Banjarmasn dan diikuti oleh selurruh Guru, Tenaga Kependidikan dan mahasiswa magang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta memiliki pengetahuan tentang macam- macam model pembelajaran inovatif serta memiliki ketrampilan dalam merancang model pembelajaran inovatif berbasis ketrampilan mengajar abad 21. Hasil pendampingan tersebut terlihat dari evaluasi kegiatyan yang menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta terkait materi yang disampaikan adalah 90% dan tingkat keterampilan peserta dalam merancang model pembelajaran inovatif mencapai lebih dari 90%. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan perancangan model pembelajaran inovatif berjalan dengan sukses dan berhasil mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditentukan.
