Abstract

Abstract

The policy of the Minister of Education and Culture which was recently issued in the form of The Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 30 of 2021 raised a lot of perception and even controversy among universities and the community itself. The policy related to the increasing rise of sexual violence in the realm of Universities which has a direct or indirect impact on the optimize of the University's Tridharma which is reduced as well as quality of Higher Education which has decreased. All of policies or regulations from the government both from the president and from its ranks from the ministry are of course based on consideration of various things. However, the problems of the pros and cons of society remain unavoidable. Cases of sexual harassment or violence in the community are increasing and more and more experienced even as if endless. In this case, to find a solution it is really necessary by the government that is right and structured and without no controvertion considering the heterogeneous Indonesian society. The authors want to know how the implementation of Permendikbud Policy Number 30 of 2021 and how to understand it from a sociological view. This library research obtained from credible sources of literacy and social media. When the data accumulated, it obtained a conclusion where the power relationship described in the policy NUMBER 30 OF 2021 tends to and indicates that the power relationship is in one dimension only. While power relations in sociological theory that explains that power should built multidimentionally and covering more broadly because power in social theory explains that power is everywhere. In terms of social construction, the policy that contained in Permendikbud Ristek Number 30 of 2021 has suitable with Berger's social construction. This theory stems from a constructivist paradigm that showed social reality as a social construct created by other individual and the individual itself that determines the social world and constructed as a matter their will. Every individual has the freedom to do anything beyond the limits of his sturcture and social institutions which gives the sense that social reality occurs because it created by an individual who is free to decide everything. This is match with the policy of Permendikbud Number 30 of 2021 which understands the forms of sexual violence due to the freedom of individual in act in according to their will.

Abstract

The utilization of Areca catechu L. fruit peel waste as biochar offers a sustainable solution for waste management while enhancing the material’s value as an efficient adsorbent. Biochar from Areca catechu L. fruit peels was processed through pyrolysis for 2 hours at temperature of 500oC. This study investigates the use of biochar from Areca catechu L. peel as an adsorbent for Malachite Green (MG) and Reactive Blue (RB) dyes in a batch system, with a focus on analysing the kinetic adsorption processes. The biochar was characterized using XRD, FTIR, SEM and BET. BET analysis was conducted, which shows that the surface area of biochar from Areca catheca L. fruit peel after pyrolysis treatment was 29.52 m2/g. The adsorption of MG by the biochar from Areca catechu L. peels was found to be greater than that of RB. The biochar showed an adsorption capacity of 16.113 mg/g for MG, while its capacity for RB was 15.499 mg/g. The adsorption process of biochar from Areca catechu L. peels for both MG and RB dyes follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a risk factor for vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). The most common cause of VVC in pregnancy is Candida albicans. During pregnancy, physiological changes occur, such as increased levels of estrogen, lower vaginal pH, increased production of vaginal mucosal glycogen and immunological changes so that Candida colonization in the vagina increases. Increased colonization can be symptomatic or asymptomatic. When symptoms and signs of vulvar pruritus, pain, swelling, redness, burning, dyspareunia, dysuria, vulvar edema, fissures, excoriation and vaginal discharge are found, it is necessary to perform microscopic examination and/or fungal culture to establish the diagnosis of VVC. Topical intravaginal antifungal therapy such as clotrimazole and nystatin, are the recommended treatment for VVC in pregnancy that has been shown its safety. Treatment with oral antifungal is not recommended because of the risk of causing congenital abnormalities in the fetus. Prophylactic administration in the last trimester of pregnancy in asymptomatic VVC cases provides good pregnancy and neonatal outcomes but is still being debated. In severe, prolonged or recurrent cases of VVC, other co-infections may be sought which may also need to be managed. Administration of probiotics for VVC therapy still requires further research.

Abstract

In the context of urban growth and increasing population density, urban transportation networks face significant challenges such as traffic congestion, infrastructure limitations, and traffic law violations. This study integrates three analytical approaches—Space Syntax, Resolving Efficient Dominating Set (REDS), and Graph Neural Networks (GNN)—to identify strategic locations for the deployment of mobile Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) units and to forecast potential traffic violations. The research focuses on Malang City, Indonesia, and utilizes spatial data and ETLE violation records. Results show that Laksamana Martadinata Street, which has the lowest Real Relative Asymmetry (RRA) value, is a key strategic location for monitoring. The REDS analysis yields a resolving efficient domination number that determines the optimal quantity and placement of mobile ETLE units. GNN-based multi-step time series forecasting successfully predicts traffic violation trends across 29 road segments with a Mean Squared Error (MSE) equal to 0.0173. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of spatial configuration analysis, graph theoretical optimization, and machine learning-based forecasting, offering a comprehensive approach not previously combined in related studies. However, limitations include the use of a single urban case study and constraints in the availability and granularity of violation data, which may affect the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of traditional food in cultural tourism development through an examination of Bagar Hiu, a traditional shark-based dish from Bengkulu, Indonesia. The research employs PLS-SEM to analyze survey data collected from 300 tourists, focusing on the relationships between food quality, attractiveness, satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Key findings demonstrate significant direct effects: food quality exhibits strong positive relationships with both attractiveness (p < 0.000) and satisfaction (p < 0.000). Attractiveness significantly influences satisfaction (p < 0.000) and behavioral intention (p < 0.000). Furthermore, satisfaction shows a significant effect on behavioral intention (p < 0.000), while food quality maintains a direct, though weaker, impact on behavioral intention (p = 0.002). These results provide empirical evidence for traditional food's multifaceted role in tourist experiences, particularly highlighting the importance of food attractiveness. The study contributes to culinary tourism literature by quantifying these relationships and identifying satisfaction's mediating role. Practical implications suggest the need for destination managers to emphasize both food quality and presentation while preserving culinary authenticity to enhance tourist satisfaction and behavioral intentions
