Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic Legal Review of the wage system for traditional sand miners in Dusun Ketapang, Desa Gegerung, Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, as implemented by the mine owners for both permanent and casual workers. This qualitative research produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from interviews and observations, using a normative sociological approach that connects the norms of wage practices with the ijarah concept in theory and practice. The analysis uses the theory of ijarah and principles of Islamic contracts. The findings show that the wage system in this area does not align with Islamic law, as there is no prior agreement or understanding between the mine owner and the miners regarding the wage rate, leading to uncertainty and a disparity between the two parties. In an Islamic wage system, it is crucial that neither party feels disadvantaged.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of property ownership rights in the Qur'an, emphasizing the balance in life through the management of wealth for collective well-being. Islam acknowledges the natural human inclination toward owning wealth but establishes regulations to ensure that ownership benefits not only individuals but also the broader community. This research employs a descriptive-analytical method with a library research approach. Primary sources include the Qur'an, Hadith, and tafsir texts, supplemented by relevant supporting literature. The findings reveal that Allah SWT is the ultimate owner of all that exists in the heavens and the earth (QS. Al-Maidah: 120), while humans are entrusted with temporary ownership to sustain their livelihoods (QS. Al-Hadid [57]: 7). This ownership is categorized into three types: individual ownership, acquired through work (QS. Al-Jumu'ah [62]: 10) or inheritance (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 180; QS. An-Nisa’ [4]: 11-12); state ownership, which includes zakat, ghanimah, and fa'i (QS. Al-Anfaal [8]: 41; QS. Al-Hasyr [59]: 7); and public ownership, encompassing resources managed for communal benefit (QS. Ar-Rahmaan [55]: 10). This study contributes to the development of Islamic economic theory by emphasizing the importance of equitable wealth distribution and providing practical foundations for economic policies grounded in Qur'anic values to achieve collective prosperity.

Abstract

Baipajung is a village with quite good potential value and needs to be developed in the agriculture, plantation and livestock sectors. Generally, in the village goats are mated naturally, namely one cage is used for 1 male goat and 3 female goats. The population of goats in Baipajung village is 488 male goats, 878 female goats and 587 goat kids, so with the livestock capital it can be used as a source of community income. The problem that occurs in Baipajung village, although the goat population is quite large, their maintenance is only traditional, just a side business as rojokoyo or as savings if they don't have money. Goat farmers want their goats after giving birth to have superior characteristics such as increased percentage of offspring, heavier weaning weight, higher quality goats or more efficient use of feed resources. The efficiency of livestock production can be increased through the application of Artificial Insemination reproductive technology in crossbreeding Poteh or local goats with Boar goat studs.

Abstract

Article history: This research aims to analyze how populism weakens democratic practices in Indonesia and formulate solutions to keep democracy healthy. With Friedrich Nietzsche's existentialism perspective, this research highlights the importance of individual freedom and responsibility in choosing qualified leaders. The research uses a legal method with a legislative and philosophical approach. The results show that Indonesian democracy, which is synonymous with the division of power between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, is often distorted by the influence of populism. Elections held every five years to elect people's representatives and executive leaders at various levels are often used by political elites for their interests by exploiting people's emotions through rhetoric and identity politics. This condition is rooted in the criteria for nominating leaders in Law No. 7/2017, which opens space for the emergence of populism and obscures the purpose of democracy “of the people, by the people, and for the people”. To overcome this, the research recommends revising the regulation by adding competency criteria based on the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) merit system for prospective executive leaders. This strategy is a practical implementation of existentialism in legal politics to maintain the quality of democracy while strengthening political education for the community.

Abstract

Today's teens face challenges more than previous generations. The use of information and technology are mentioned as among the causes of problems for teenagers in Indonesia, such as; pornography, promiscuity, premarital sex, and low motivation to study. A positive parenting is needed to help adolescents build their resilience and self-esteem to deal with obstacles in their life. Previous research on parenting styles showed that parents who used strength-based parenting helped children to develop coping skills and increased self-esteem in teenagers. Strength-based parenting is used to identify and encourage teens to recognize and use their strengths in every aspect of their life. Thus, the current study was conducted to see this parental pattern's contribution to adolescents' resilience and self-esteem. The study was held on teenagers aged 11-18 from a family using Talents Mapping in Indonesia. Sixty responses were taken by using the Strength-Based Parenting Scale, Child Youth Resilience Measure-Revised, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Data is analysed using a regression test. The findings showed that the effects of strength-based parenting on a teenager's self-esteem are positive and significant. It was also found that resilience is positively related to youth's self-esteem. Furthermore, strength-based parenting and resilience are simultaneously positive and significant on teenagers' self-esteem, as 10.4%.

Abstract

The Sukoharjo Regency Government regrouped 16 elementary schools (SD) into 8 SD in 2022. This regrouping was legalized through Regent's Decree No. 420/376/2022 dated July 12, 2022. One of the reasons for this regrouping was because the number of students was small and not growing. The problem that is a priority for partners is how to overcome misconceptions about the implementation of local wisdom in elementary schools so that it can improve the quality of graduates so that it can increase public interest. The solution to overcome this is the socialization of the concept of local wisdom curriculum, which includes religious content, character education, and local wisdom-based learning. This service method uses a participatory approach. The training activity was attended by 60 people, consisting of school supervisors, principals, and teachers. Participants' understanding of the material can be seen from the participants' ability to compile local content work programs, which are outlined in mind maps during the training activities. Based on feedback from participants, it shows that participants consider this training program very good in terms of: clarity of activity objectives, relevance of activities to participant needs, systematic presentation of materials, added value of the materials presented, time allocation, and achievement of activity objectives.
