Abstract

This research was conducted to obtain data on the effect of the volume fraction of palm fiber on the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and impact strength of composites using a 157 Ortho-phthalic Unsaturated Polyester matrix with the hand lay-up method. The object of this research is a composite of palm fiber 2 mm with a variation of fiber volume fraction 15%, 25%, 30%. The highest tensile stress of fiber-reinforced composite 2 mm was found in the volume fraction of 25% with a value of 30.23 MPa. Meanwhile, the highest value of modulus of elasticity is in the volume fraction of 25%, which is 9063.33 MPa. And for the highest impact strength, fiber-reinforced composite 2 mm is found in the volume fraction of 30% with a value of 49.3 Kj/mm². Meanwhile, the lowest tensile strength is found in the volume fraction of 15% with a value of 15.9 MPa. And the lowest elastic modulus value is found in the 15% volume fraction with a value of 7046.66 MPa. And for the lowest impact strength value is in the 25% fraction with a value of 29.73 Kj/mm².

Abstract

This study aims to find out the features of a 2-door refrigerator product that suitable the needs and desires of consumers at this era. The need and ever-growing desire for refrigerator products is not just to condition food or drinks or other goods so that the condition remains fresh or controlled at a certain temperature. The method used is Quality Function Deployment (QFD) by capturing customer voice (VOC). With this method the consumer voice obtained is then translated into product technical requirement in the development of new products. In this study the products studied were 2-door refrigerator products types that were suitable for the needs of consumers with a small number of families with consumer routines activities. The results of the study it was found that, there are 3 big points of the 2-door refrigerator products that consumers want that rapid freezing time, low prices, and low electricity consumption. To achieve this requirement, the fabrication company carries out air flow type modification, efficiency production cost, material usage and use of special components to get efficient energy products.

Abstract

Character education has been widely promoted in Indonesian education policy; however, empirical studies examining how it is enacted in EFL classrooms at the senior high school level remain limited, particularly in terms of classroom-level practices and teacher interpretation. This qualitative case study investigates the implementation of character education in EFL teaching at SMA Cendana Pekanbaru, focusing on how values are enacted in practice. Data were collected from two English teachers through lesson plan analysis (n=12), classroom observations (n=6 sessions), and semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that character education is primarily integrated through (1) routine-based classroom management practices that reinforce discipline and responsibility, (2) teacher modelling and interactional feedback that promote respect and honesty, and (3) task-based activities that implicitly embed cooperation and perseverance. However, implementation remains surface-level, as teachers prioritize linguistic targets and rarely engage students in critical moral reflection. Given the small-scale, bounded nature of the study, the findings highlight how policy-level expectations are selectively enacted in classroom practice rather than fully realized. The study underscores the need for pedagogical support that moves beyond implicit integration toward more reflective and explicit character education in EFL contexts.

Abstract

This research analyzes Islamic banking's strategic human resource strategies by examining how compensation, work incentives, and job satisfaction affect employee performance. 210 Islamic finance personnel were quantitatively surveyed and evaluated using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS. Bootstrapping. 5,000 subsamples were used to evaluate direct and indirect impacts. Research indicates that financial remuneration and work motivation negatively affect employee performance (β = −0.280 and β = −0.182, respectively). Job happiness has a low but positive impact on employee performance (β = 0.087). Minimal indirect effects and variation accounted for (VAF) values below 20%. Job satisfaction does not moderate the links between financial compensation and employee performance, nor between work motivation and performance.  The findings suggest that direct processes, rather than emotional measures such as job happiness, affect the performance of Islamic banking employees. The Islamic banking strategic human resource management literature is enhanced by emotional assessments, such as job satisfaction. Strategic human resource management in Islamic banking is informed by research, with managerial implications for fair remuneration systems and sustainable motivational techniques that reflect Islamic ideals.

Abstract

In Padukuhan Blekik, Sleman, the majority of residents (70%) still dispose of this waste into drains due to a lack of knowledge regarding environmental impacts and its economic potential. This community service activity aims to educate on the negative impacts of used cooking oil and train the women of the Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) in processing this waste into solid and liquid laundry soap. The methods used included counseling based on a spiritual approach, education of management of Used Cooking Oil, and demonstrations of soap making. The results of the activity showed an increase in environmental awareness and technical skills among participants. Evaluation through pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in the average score by 79%, from an initial score of 43 to 77. This activity successfully transformed the community's perception of waste into an economically valuable resource and provided skill capital for the economic independence of KUB Blekik.

Abstract

Manually classifying good quality coffee beans is subjective, can take a considerable amount of time and is hard to standardize among various operators. For this research, computer vision was used to create a classifying system, dividing coffee bean pictures into defect and Good Quality. Based on mobile execution performance, we evaluated five existing computer vision transfer learning models. Image datasets include those used to create it, public online collections of coffee bean images, a primary set collected for use during research and the full combined 1,102-image collection broken down into a training (858 pictures), validation (114 pictures) and test (130 pictures) set. We made images of the same 224x224 resolution, then used an augmentation pipeline that rotated, flipped randomly horizontally and added color changes to increase robustness. Normalized the pixel intensities using statistics gathered for ImageNet. Models were trained identically and used Adam for optimizer and a learning rate, batch size and epoch quantity. Densely Connected Convolutional Neural Network (DenseNet121), EfficientNetB0, MobileNetV2, Residual Network (ResNet50) and Xception all performed at equal settings during experimentation. The top accuracy level came from EfficientNetB0 and Xception, both reaching 96.92% on the testing data. We selected EfficientNetB0 as our core model for its performance, small size and steady use on a smartphone (as seen in the application prototype we made), but it was still a solid performing alternative to Xception. The Android prototype that came from our study supported photo input using either a camera or file upload to provide instant quality status. Transfer learning's ability to enable the use of models capable of automated and consistent assessment for coffee bean quality control would be an improvement in small coffee operations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the time token learning model on improving students' comprehensive cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills on the topic of circles. This study was motivated by the suboptimal utilization of learning modules, as well as the lack of innovation in mathematics learning models that impact students' low engagement and thinking skills. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest two treatment groups. The sample of the study was 45 eighth grade students. The research instrument was an essay test analyzed using N-Gain to measure improvements in comprehensive cognitive abilities and problem-solving, and MANOVA test to see differences between groups. The results showed that the application of the time token learning model was able to improve students' comprehensive cognitive abilities and problem-solving in the medium category. The N-Gain values in large groups were 0.520 and 0.359, respectively, while in small groups were 0.558 and 0.342. However, the results of the MANOVA test showed that there was no significant effect of group size on both abilities. The main findings of this study indicate that the time token model is effective in improving students' abilities, but differences in group size (small and large) did not have a significant effect. This model also encourages active participation and equitable student involvement in mathematics learning.
