Abstract

This research conducts a comprehensive literature analysis to explore the linkages, risks, and impacts of regional financial networks on banking system stability in Indonesia within the broader macroeconomic context. The systematic review synthesizes findings from diverse studies, examining both positive and negative dynamics associated with regional financial integration. Positive linkages include enhanced risk-sharing mechanisms and improved access to financial resources, while negative linkages encompass susceptibility to contagion effects and systemic risks. The associated risks, such as credit, market, and operational risks, are identified and discussed. Additionally, the research delves into the multifaceted impacts of regional financial networks on economic growth, financial inclusion, and the resilience of Indonesia's banking sector to external shocks. The synthesis of these findings provides valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and researchers to navigate the challenges and leverage opportunities presented by regional financial networks.

Abstract

This study employs a bibliometric analysis to explore the intersection of Islamic banking and sustainable finance, focusing on the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into Islamic financial practices. Utilizing data from Google Scholar, this research maps the landscape of green and sustainable finance within Islamic banking from 2001 to 2024. The analysis identifies core themes such as green sukuk, ESG investing, and climate finance, and examines their connectivity and evolution over time. The results reveal a growing emphasis on aligning Islamic finance with global sustainability goals, highlighted by the increasing prominence of green financial instruments and sustainability-focused financial services. However, challenges such as the need for standardized regulatory frameworks and greater incorporation of technological innovations in financial practices persist. The study suggests that addressing these challenges through clearer guidelines and enhanced financial technology could propel Islamic banking into a more significant role in global sustainability efforts.

Abstract

Climate change is increasingly recognized as a significant financial risk factor, particularly in developing countries where financial systems are often less resilient to environmental shocks. This study explores the relationship between climate-related financial risks, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and economic stability in developing nations. It highlights how both physical risks, such as extreme weather events (e.g., floods and droughts), and transition risks, including regulatory changes and shifts toward a low-carbon economy, deter FDI and contribute to economic volatility. The findings show that developing countries, which are more vulnerable to these risks, experience reduced FDI inflows due to the increased costs of adaptation and the potential for operational disruptions. Additionally, the study finds that countries with weaker financial institutions and governance structures are more susceptible to the economic instability induced by climate risks. The analysis suggests that climate risk mitigation strategies, such as strengthening financial sectors, improving governance, and implementing effective climate policies, can help reduce these risks and create a more stable investment environment. The research also identifies gaps in the literature, particularly the combined effect of climate risks and financial instability on FDI, which warrants further exploration. The study calls for more comprehensive research, particularly focusing on regional case studies and sector-specific impacts, to guide policymakers in fostering a climate-resilient economic environment that attracts sustainable foreign investment.

Abstract

Early childhood character development is a crucial focus in modern education because social changes and the learning environment shape children's moral values and social behavior. The school environment is viewed as a key factor in character formation through social interactions, the instilling of values, and the role models of teachers. This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment in early childhood character development within the context of religious-based elementary education. The study employed a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design with early elementary school students as participants. The research instrument used a teacher observation scale to assess character dimensions, including discipline, responsibility, empathy, cooperation, honesty, and independence. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and linear regression to identify the relationship between the quality of the school environment and student character development. The results indicate that a positive school environment contributes significantly to children's character development through a school culture that supports the instilling of moral values and constructive social interactions. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening the school climate as a primary strategy in character education for early childhood.
