Abstract

Student academic achievement is an indicator of academic success. However, behind the beautiful results, another important aspect is being forgotten: the mental health of students. This project aims to investigate the effect of mental health counseling on the academic performance of MA Baytul Mukarromah students. Based on the first observation, it was found that many students have difficulty managing stress and anxiety, which can affect their learning results. Therefore, it is hoped that this project can contribute to improving the quality of education at MA Baytul Mukarromah by providing relevant recommendations related to mental health education programs. The results of this project show that mental health counseling helps students in improving their learning outcomes. Counseling not only provides knowledge and skills, but also helps students develop self-awareness, increase their motivation to learn, and establish positive social relationships so that they are more aware of the importance of healthy mental health, which increases their academic performance for a better future.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in Indonesia in 2021-2025. This study used a meta-analysis method with PRISMA guidelines and obtained 13 primary studies for analysis. Primary studies that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software version 4.0. The results of the calculation of the overall effect size obtained a Hedges'g value of 1.063 with a Z value of 7.990 and a p value <0.05, which means that the application of the Project Based Learning model has a significant effect on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities. Based on the results of the moderator variable analysis, a very large effect size was obtained at the high school level with a Hedges'g value of 1.487 and in studies with a small sample size (≤30 participants) with a Hedges'g value of 1.121. However, the heterogeneity test between groups obtained a p value>0.05 for both moderator variables, so that the differences between groups were not statistically significant and did not provide sufficient evidence that education level or sample size moderated the intervention effect.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought about significant changes in educational practices, particularly in mathematics learning, which increasingly demands an adaptive and personalized approach. This study aims to review technology-based differentiated mathematics learning, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges, and contribution to improving learning quality. This study, based on relevant literature review, collected articles and research from 2020 to 2025, demonstrates that technology-based differentiated mathematics learning consistently improves mathematics learning outcomes, student motivation, and participation. Technologies such as GeoGebra, Desmos, and adaptive learning platforms enable teachers to tailor content, processes, and learning products to individual student needs. However, the effectiveness of implementation is highly dependent on teacher readiness and infrastructure availability. Key challenges identified include limited teacher digital competency, disparities in technology access across regions, and the lack of long-term research assessing the sustainability of this model. This study contributes to integrating theoretical perspectives with modern technology-based mathematics learning practices. Thus, the results of this study provide a conceptual and empirical basis for the development of an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable mathematics learning model in the digital era.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of the Fiqh of Prayer of seventh grade students of SMP IT Insan Mandiri Bandar Lampung indicate the need for learning innovations that can encourage student activity and comprehensive understanding. This study aims to analyze teachers' efforts in improving Fiqh learning outcomes through the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. The study used a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which was implemented in two cycles, including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with 28 students as research subjects. The results showed that the implementation of the Jigsaw model was able to significantly improve the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes. Teachers' teaching activities increased from 66.67% in cycle I to 90.48% in cycle II, while students' learning activities increased from 61.14% to 80.95%. This increase has an impact on student learning outcomes, marked by an increase in learning completeness from 60.71% in cycle I to 89.29% in cycle II, with the average score increasing from 64 to 83 and exceeding the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 75. The findings of this study indicate that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in increasing activeness, cooperation, learning responsibility, and understanding of the concept of Fiqh Salat. The implications of this study provide practical contributions for teachers in developing participatory and meaningful Fiqh learning, as well as being a reference for schools in implementing innovative learning models based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia exhibits significant spatial variation between regions, including on the island of Sulawesi, which possesses diverse geographic and economic characteristics. This study aims to analyze the inequality in poverty rates between regencies/cities in Sulawesi in 2025 and to identify the patterns of their spatial clustering. Using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) for 2025 covering 81 regencies/cities, this research applies a spatial exploration approach through global spatial autocorrelation analysis (Moran's Index and Geary's Index) and local analysis (LISA). The results indicate high inequality between regency areas (average 10.48%) and city areas (average 5.31%). A significant positive global spatial autocorrelation was detected (Moran's Index = 0.25 and Geary's Index = 0.75), indicating that poverty tends to cluster geographically. LISA analysis identified High-High clusters in the central and southeastern regions (particularly Gorontalo Province, Central Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi) and Low-Low clusters in urban areas and the northern part of the island. These findings underscore the importance of spatially-based and integrated poverty alleviation policies for priority cluster regions.

Abstract

The transformation of 21st-century education demands a fundamental shift in the paradigm of mathematics learning, from one that initially focused on mastering abstract concepts to one that is more meaningful, contextual, and oriented towards developing students' authentic competencies. This study aims to examine in depth the integration of projects and assessments in mathematics learning as an effort to build a new paradigm of authentic evaluation that is in line with the demands of modern education. The method used is a systematic literature review of various previous studies discussing the implementation of authentic assessment and project-based learning, especially in the context of mathematics education. The results of the review indicate that most studies still position projects and assessments as two separate components, rather than as a mutually supportive unit within a complete learning framework. This study reveals conceptual and practical gaps in the integration of these two approaches, particularly regarding the design of evaluation instruments that can assess both the process and learning outcomes holistically. Thus, this study offers a conceptual synthesis that the integration of projects and authentic assessments can become a new paradigm of evaluation in mathematics learning, which not only assesses cognitive abilities but also develops students' creativity, collaboration, reflection, and higher-order thinking skills. The implications of this study are expected to strengthen the theoretical foundation and provide direction for the development of assessment models that are contextual, adaptive, and aligned with the Independent Learning policy and the needs of 21st-century learning.
