Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi is crosscutted by Lasolo Fault into two geological provinces: Tinondo and Hialu. Tinondo Geological Province is occupied largely by Ophiolite Complex in the northern part of Southeast Arm of Sulawesi. No study was conducted in relation to the geochemistry composition of Ophiolite Complex in North Konawe Regency. The aim of this study is to describe the ultramafic rock of the Ophiolite Complex in North Konawe Regency using field, geochemical, and petrographical analysis. Megascopically, the selected nine samples are described as greyish to blackish and fine to medium grains ultramafic rocks, which consist of pyroxene and olivine. Microscope, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) devices were used to obtain both petrography and geochemistry data. Major oxides data confirm that the selected samples are classified into ultramafic rocks as SiO2, MgO, and Fe2O3T are the most abundant oxides. The studied samples presumably came from arc tholeiitic environment tectonic setting. Ultramafic rocks often contain promising economic metals whereas the average numbers of Ni, Mn, Cr, and Co of this study are 2,675; 1,074; 2,386; and 117 ppm respectively. The rocks are generally enriched in high field strength elements whilst rare earth elements value are low, ranging from 2.11 to 7.10 ppm. Microscopically, samples can be classified into three groups: olivine-hornblende pyroxenite, lherzolite, and olivine websterite. Geochemical data describes more about the discriminant analysis of the groups.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis adalah keterampilan penting yang mendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam mempelajari dan memahami konsep-konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP berdasarkan studi literatur yang relevan. Dengan mengumpulkan artikel dan penelitian terkini antara tahun 2020 hingga 2024, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis, termasuk penggunaan metode pembelajaran, interaksi sosial, serta teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kolaboratif, dan teknologi digital memainkan peran kunci dalam meningkatkan komunikasi matematis siswa. Pembelajaran yang melibatkan diskusi dan presentasi memungkinkan siswa untuk mengartikulasikan pemikiran matematis mereka dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pendidik untuk merancang metode pengajaran yang mendukung pengembangan komunikasi matematis siswa secara efektif.

Abstract

The deep learning approach in education is a learning strategy oriented towards deep conceptual understanding, reflective, and integrative. This research aims to analyze the deep learning approach from the perspective of three main learning theories namely cognitive, humanistic, and constructivistic. The deep learning approach is considered relevant in facing the challenges of 21st century education because it focuses on deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and active involvement of learners in the learning process. However, the implementation of this approach is often not supported by a strong theoretical understanding. Therefore, this research uses a descriptive qualitative literature study method by analyzing various academic sources to identify the contribution of each theory to the deep learning approach. The results show that cognitive theories provide the basis for information processing strategies and metacognition; humanistic theories emphasize the importance of intrinsic motivation, personal values, and individual growth; while constructivistic theories support active, collaborative, and contextual learning. The synthesis of the three perspectives forms a comprehensive conceptual foundation for developing deep learning designs that are transformative and holistic. This research provides a significant conceptual contribution in the development of learning strategies that integrate cognitive, affective, and social aspects in a balanced manner

Abstract

Learning mathematics in the digital era demands innovation that is able to integrate technology and pedagogical approaches that suit the needs of the 21st century. One of the rapidly growing approaches is blended learning, which is a learning model that combines the advantages of face-to-face learning with online learning. This article aims to analyze the implementation of blended learning in mathematics education through a literature study approach. The results show that blended learning can improve students' concept understanding, learning motivation, and mathematical literacy. An effective blended learning design includes interactive face-to-face components, self-directed online learning, and technology-based formative assessment. However, the implementation of blended learning also faces challenges, such as teacher readiness and student discipline. Therefore, blended learning innovation needs to be implemented systematically with the support of education policy, teacher training, and adequate digital infrastructure. This research contributes to formulating the design direction of mathematics learning that is more flexible, participatory, and contextual in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Google Classroom integrated with Google Forms as an evaluation medium in Basic Mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to improve the effectiveness of the learning evaluation process through the use of digital technology with active student involvement and the efficiency of learning outcome management. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with 28 students of the Biotechnology study program at Makassar State University as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of evaluation documents using Google Forms within the Google Classroom platform. The results show that the integration between Google Classroom and Google Forms creates a more accessible evaluation process. Students demonstrated active participation in evaluations, timely submission of assignments, and an understanding of basic mathematical concepts. In addition, lecturers found it easier to analyze learning outcomes through automatic data generated by Google Forms. The results of this study provide a model for implementing digital evaluation that can be replicated by educators at various levels and subjects. The results of this study also show that the application of learning technology can improve students' digital literacy and strengthen a culture of independent learning.

Abstract

Setiap tenaga kerja yang terdaftar sebagai peserta jaminan kecelakaan kerja di BPJS Ketenagakerjaan tidak mendapatkan pelayanan secara maksimal berdasrkan iuran yang telah dibayarkan kepada pihak BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, oleh krena itu pihak BPJS Ketenagakerjaan masih belum memenuhi kriteria dalam mewujudkan kemaslahatan masyarakat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendakatan kualitatif, Data primer bersumber dari Al-Qur’an, Hadis dan Undang-Undang yang berkaitan dengan pembahasan, serta data berupa wawancara kepada pihak BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kantor Cabang Majene terkait. Data sekunder bersumber dari buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan hukum asuransi, brosur, internet, dan penelitian terdahulu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik data lapangan yang diperlukan sebagai data penunjang diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pihak BPJS Ketenagakerjaan secara langsung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam standar penyelenggaraan jaminan kecelakaan kerja telah memenuhi prosedur sesuai dengan prinsip ekonomi syariah, dalam prinsip ekonomi syariah pun yang dalam BPJS Ketenagakerjaan adalah prinsip gotong-royong dan tolong-menolong antar sesama peserta untuk kepentingan peserta di dalamnya terkandung kemaslahatan yang sesuai dengan maqashid syari’ah.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah: Kemudahan Penggunaan Fintechdalam finansial manajemen pada masyarakat Kecamatan Polewali Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menyajikan fakta berdasarkan data lapanagan. Prosedurpenelitian kualitatif ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata lidsan maupun tertulis yangdidapatkan dari orang-orang dan arus perkembangan metode transaksi masyarakat yang diamatisecara langsung. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan observasi, wawancarasecara mendalam serta dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan, yaitu denganmemberikan dan menjelaskan makna dari data yang telah dikumpulkan dan dari data tersebut ditarikkesimpulan. Indiukator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah; (1) mudah dipelajaru, (2) mudahdigunakan, dan (3) mudah dimengerti. Hasil penelitian dari analisis kemudahan penggunaan fintechdalam manajemen keuangan pada masyarakat Kecamatan polewali Kabupaten polewali Mandaradalah kemudahan penggunaan fintech ini juga memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengakses layanankeuangan maupun memanajemen keuangan secara digital

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the process of developing TCG (Trade Card Game) learning media to increase learning motivation on solid geometry material for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tinggimoncong, and (2) the quality of TCG learning media in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed product is a TCG-based learning media for solid geometry material. The subjects for the trial are 31 students from class VIII.4 at SMP Negeri 1 Tinggimoncong. The instruments used include expert validation sheets, observations of teacher and student activities, student learning motivation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The research results show that: (1) The validity of the TCG learning media is in the "Very High" category with a score of 0.96. (2) The practicality of the media is classified as "Very Positive" with a teacher response rate of 91% and a teacher activity observation score of 4 ("Very Good"). (3) The effectiveness of the media is indicated by the student learning motivation of 90.6% ("High"), with an increase of 41.8% from the initial motivation (48.8%), student activity at 85% ("Very Good"), and learning completeness reaching 80.5% in a classical setting. Thus, the development of this TCG learning media has been proven to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes in spatial geometry material.

Abstract

Smoking is a major health problem that has a significant impact on general health as well as oral and dental health. Adolescents are considered a vulnerable group because they are easily influenced by social environments and have limited knowledge. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of education through learning videos in improving adolescents’ knowledge about the dangers of smoking. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest– posttest approach, involving 77 seventh- and eighth-grade students of SMP Nasional Makassar selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The findings indicated an increase in the mean knowledge score from 9.26  (SD  =  3.412)  in  the  pretest  to  12.29  (SD  =  1.932)  in  the  posttest.  The  proportion  of respondents  with  good  knowledge  increased  from  50.6%  to  72.7%,  while  those  in  the  poor category decreased from 19.5% to 0%. The Wilcoxon test result showed p < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between conditions before and after the intervention. This study concludes that the use of learning videos can effectively enhance adolescents’ knowledge regarding the dangers of smoking, particularly related to oral and dental health. Audiovisual media can serve as an engaging and easily understood alternative method for health promotion among adolescents.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of figurative language in Bruno Mars' song lyrics, focusing on how various figurative expressions enhance emotional depth and convey meaning in his works. Guided by Knickerbocker and Reninger's framework, this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach supported by content analysis to identify, classify, and interpret figurative expressions in four Bruno Mars albums: Doo-Wops and Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox, 24K Magic, and An Evening with Silk Sonic. The analysis is conducted in four systematic stages: identification, categorization, interpretation, and contextual analysis of the figurative language found in the lyrics. This study is motivated by the growing recognition that song lyrics, particularly in popular music, function as a form of poetic and cultural expression. Bruno Mars was chosen as the focus of the analysis because of his global influence, genre diversity, and the sophistication of his lyrics, which often involve the creative use of figurative language to express universal human experiences such as love, heartbreak, ambition, and joy. The four albums were chosen to explore how the diversity of figurative language reflects his artistic evolution and emotional range throughout his career. The findings reveal eight distinct types of figurative language, with metaphor and hyperbole being the most dominant. These devices serve to intensify emotions, create vivid imagery, and accentuate expressive nuances in his songwriting, while personification, simile, irony, and symbolism add depth and aesthetic variety. The figurative language in Bruno Mars' lyrics serves as an artistic and communicative device that bridges literal meaning and emotional resonance. This study is expected to contribute to the fields of linguistics and stylistics by demonstrating how popular music integrates creative language to express complex emotions and cultural meanings. It also provides a methodological model for analyzing figurative language in various musical works. Furthermore, this research offers pedagogical value for non-native English speakers, helping them interpret English song lyrics more accurately and appreciate their figurative meanings, thereby preventing misinterpretation and enriching linguistic competence and cultural understanding.
