Abstract

ABSTRCT Adolescence is a transition period that experienced many changes both physical, emotional, social, way of thinking and behavior. Negative self image arises from within the client which stems from the beliefs and negative thought patterns of the counselee towards himself. Someone with a negative self image tends to be a pessimistic person, feel his life is not happy to feel himself worthless, do not dare to face new challenges, can not stand criticism, feel insecure, inferior, can not accept its advantages and disadvantages. Where, feeling these feeling come from thinking irrational/negative, then he believed in his heart and the realization of negative behavior. The purpose of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy is to change the irrational beliefs of the client (which have an impact on emotions and behavior) to be rational. The research method used is the studi of literature or study literature related to the discussion of the use of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to overcome negative self image in adolescent. Based on the result study or literature review that has been done that with a Rational approach Emotive Behavior Therapy can improve and changes attitudes, perceptions, ways of thinking irrational beliefs and views of the council to be rational so that the council can develop yourself optimally. Keywords : Rational Emotive Therapy, Negative Self Image, Adolescents ABSTRAK Masa remaja merupakan masa transisi yang mengalami banyak perubahan . baik fisik, emosi, sosial, cara beripikir, maupun tingkah laku. Self image negatif timbul dari dalam diri konseli yang bermula dari keyakinan dan pola pikir negatif dari konseli terhadap dirinya sendiri. Seseorang dengan Self image yang negatif cenderung menjadi pribadi yang pesimis, merasa hidupnya tidak bahagia, merasa dirinya tidak berharga, tidak berani menghadapi tantangan baru, tidak tahan dengan kritikan, merasa tidak percaya diri, rendah diri, tidak dapat menerima kelebihan dan kekurangan nya. Dimana, Perasaaan-perasaan tersebut berasal dari pemikiran yang irasional/negatif, kemudian ia yakini didalam hatinya lalu terwujudlah tingkah laku yang negatif. Tujuan dari penggunaan pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy adalah untuk mengubah keyakinan irasional yang dimiliki konseli (yang memberikan dampak pada emosi dan perilaku) menjadi rasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literature atau kajian pustaka yang terkait dengan pembahasan mengenai penggunaan Pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT) untuk mengatasi self image negatif pada remaja. Berdasarkan hasil studi atau kajian pustaka yang telah dilakukan bahwasanya dengan melalui pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy dapat memperbaiki dan mengubah sikap, persepsi, cara berfikir keyakinan serta pandangan konseli yang irasional menjadi rasional sehingga konseli dapat mengembangkan diri dengan optimal. Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period to build student identity and develop a self-assessment mindset. Adolescent developmental tasks require significant changes in attitudes and behavior patterns. Due to the developmental tasks of adolescence describing the extent of changes that must be made and the problems that arise from the changes themselves, adolescence is often a difficult problem to solve. Lack of confidence in social interaction is one of the obstacles in changing attitudes and behavior. As a result, students who lack confidence in the social environment often do not have friends, are alone, and have difficulty adjusting to their environment. Students who lack self-confidence have more difficulty growing and developing in the activities they participate in at home, at school, and in the community. This writing uses a literature review and literature study by exploring various literature related to self-confidence in social interaction and group counseling approaches to rational emotive behavior therapy. Group counseling utilizes the dynamics of group members in the service process. The stages in the REBT counseling approach are using the ABC theory.

Abstract

Group Counseling is one type of service in Guidance and Counseling. Implementation of group counseling needs to pay attention to the characteristics of group members. There are cultural differences that underlie each member of the group. The purpose of this study is to formulate the importance of the multicultural competence of counselors in addressing cultural biases that exist in group counseling activities. To reveal the data of this study, a literature review methodology was used with reference sources in the form of articles, books, and information from technology and communication media that were following the topics discussed. The results of the discussion revealed that these differences in cultural characteristics need to be addressed properly by group leaders with the right knowledge, attitudes, and skills. To build good group dynamics in a multicultural counseling atmosphere, group leaders should have competence. Multicultural competencies that must be mastered by counselors are counselor awareness of cultural values ​​and biases from within themselves, counselor awareness about counselee views, and culturally appropriate intervention strategies. Mastery of this multicultural competence must be bound by values ​​and ethics. There is a code of ethics that oversees the implementation of group counseling service activities. Problem-solving group members in group counseling need to use the right approach. The group leader must be able to choose an approach according to the characteristics of the problems faced by group members.

Abstract

setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan yang mempunyai kemungkinan untuk dikembangkan, kekuatan, kesanggupan, dan daya dalam menentukan arah pilihan karir bagi masa depan mereka. Hal tersebut dikatakana sebagai potensi karir, adapun dalam pemantapan arah pilihan karir siswa salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh faktor dari adanya dukungan orang tua. Selain itu bagaimana peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam membantu pemantapan arah pilihan karir siswa di sekolah. Dalam penulisan ini dirancang untuk mendeskripsikan dukungan orang tua, pemantapan potensi karir siswa, dan hubungan antara dukungan orang tua dengan potensi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur, yaitu informasi yang didapatkan berasal dari beberapa sumber bacaan seperti buku, laporan atau karangan ilmiah, dan sebagainya

Abstract

Every individual has a fundamental desire to fulfill his basic needs. When what he wants has been fulfilled indirectly his conditions have been satisfied. On the other hand, if the desire cannot be fulfilled by reality, the individual will feel pressured and stressed, causing a difference in what he wants with what he gets and causing problems for the individual. Reality counseling has the aim of helping individuals align what they want with what happens or is obtained by the reality of the individual's life.

Abstract

Remaja pertengahan mengalami berbagai gejolak dalam perkembangan emosinya. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi pada remaja agar dapat mengelola emosinya untuk mencapai kesejahteraan hidup. Kepribadian remaja perempuan dan remaja laki-laki yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosionalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional remaja di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur; 2) mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional remaja laki-laki dan perempuan di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur; 3) mengetahui perbedaan tingkatan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja laki-laki dan perempuan di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif komparatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 290 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik propotionate random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket kecerdasan emosional dengan 31 item. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dan teknik independent t-test. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa: 1) kecerdasan emosional remaja secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 38.6% 2) kecerdasan emosional remaja laki-laki berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 37.2% dan pada remaja perempuan berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 35.9%; 3) tidak terdapat perbedaan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja pertengahan ditinjau dari jenis kelamin di SMAN 1 Kampar Timur dengan hasil sig=0.078 (sig. > 0.05).

Abstract

Period teenager is period which urgent within range life, because is period something period transition, a time of change, a troubled age, a moment where individual look for identity, age which raises Fright, period which no realistic, and as threshold adulthood. Based on the stages of its development, adolescence is called a transitional period because it is experiencing physiological development, emotional development and social development which will cause fear, anxiety and even self-doubt. Happiness depends on how young people keep themselves in a condition to make the best use of our energy. Teenagers should feel happy at school and learning with teachers in class. Teacher BK / Counselor is wrong one educator which role in help students overcome obstacles or problems and develop potency which owned student in school including student happiness. One learning model that can increase student happiness in class is the quantum learning model. the Quantum learning model seeks to maximize all the elements contained in learning including all the potential and abilities that exist in students. This is intended to make the learning carried out by the teacher maximal and students also absorb the material presented maximally. The current research is descriptive qualitative with a literature study that seeks to provide an overview of the application of the Quantum learning model to increase adolescent happiness. This paper presents the problem of adolescent happiness at school, steps to apply the Quantum learning model and increase adolescent happiness at school. This research uses literature study / literature study, by reviewing several research results, articles, books and case studies that occur in the field.

Abstract

This long distance marriage describes a physically separated situation where one partner has to settle in another place with certain reasons and goals such as job demands, education and others. The obstacles that can occur during this long-distance domicile marriage relationship are as follows, the couple does not feel happy, negative moods and emotions, less time together, family roles have not gone well even in fatal cases such as divorce. This study aims to improve subjective well-being for couples undergoing long-distance marriage relationships with a problem solving approach. The research design was carried out using a literature study related to problem solving approaches to increase subjective well-being for couples who are in long-distance marriage relationships. The results of this study indicate that problem solving is an effective alternative approach in increasing subjective well-being in long distance marriage.

Abstract

The rise of sexual violence in Indonesia has caused lasting trauma to victims, both physically and verbally, so this is quite a worrying concern, with this endless phenomenon occurring. A group counseling is held which can help victims resolve the trauma. Based on cases that occurred in Indonesia, it was found that sexual violence occurred in children who were in the school environment. Factors that influence the occurrence of sexual violence are the many perpetrators who are people around the victim and even people who are known to the victim so that sexual violence usually occurs anywhere. Furthermore, the factors that influence the emergence of sexual violence are because children are considered sterile so that children are vulnerable to becoming victims of sexual violence because this causes trauma to the victim because of the incident that happened to the victim. Counseling for victims of sexual violence is the first time the counselor conducts counseling using a Person-Centered Therapy approach so that victims get better and can carry out their normal activities and live their lives.

Abstract

Perilaku altruisme pada siswa sudah mengalami kemunduran terhadap isu-isu yang terjadi di kehidupan sehari-hari yang salah satunya pada tingkat sekolah menengah pertama. Hal ini terlihat bahwasanya terdapat siswa di sekolah yang tidak membantu temannya ketika sedang mengalami kesusahan. Altruisme diartikan sebagai suatu pertolongan yang diberikan secara murni, tulus dan tanpa mengharapkan timbal balik atau balasan dari orang lain dan juga tidak memberikan manfaat apapun bagi dirinya sendiri. Perilaku altruisme dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor internal salah satunya adalah jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku altruisme ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI MTsN 6 Kota Padang yang populasi dari penelitian berjumlah 771 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 264 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampel yaitu simple random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu independent sample t-test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 20.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa MTsN 6 Kota Padang terdapat perbedaan perilaku altruisme bila ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Dimana F = 3,108 dengan p = 0,00 < 0,05 artinya ada perbedaan perilaku altruisme siswa ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Dimana perempuan lebih tinggi perilaku altruismenya dibandingkan laki-laki.
