Abstract

Self-concept is everything that is in a person, both positive and negative. The development of self-concept is certainly a manifestation of the positive self-concept that exists in humans, in which case the development of self-concept leads to the academic development of students. The approach used in the academic development of students is a group counseling approach that focuses on SFBC solutions. By using this approach group members are required to be more active in the process of counseling activities. This approach focuses more on the present and future of students, in the sense that it does not ignore the past but does not really look at the causes why these problems can occur. The group leader asks several open-ended questions so that members can explain the problems they are feeling. Focusing on the solution certainly does not question the cause, where in the case of the group leader it is more to help its members find solutions.

Abstract

The main and most proposed paradigm in Gestalt theory is the integrity of the relationship between the individual and his environment, the good or considered individual who develops according to his development is the individual who understands how his environment is and how he is and what is the binding relationship between the personal self as an individual and his environment. The environment, which is closely related to culture, is the focus of the gestalt approach in explaining the environment for individuals. In this article, the discussion will focus on how interpersonal relationships motivated by culture become the "main weapon" in the implementation of Group Guidance and Counseling with Gestalt therapy techniques. The reason for this is because (1) the relationship between the Counselor and the group members is an intense relationship that lasts a long time; (2) Sharing, caring and Maintenance; (3) Expectations possessed by clients in the implementation of Group Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period to build student identity and develop a self-assessment mindset. Adolescent developmental tasks require significant changes in attitudes and behavior patterns. Due to the developmental tasks of adolescence describing the extent of changes that must be made and the problems that arise from the changes themselves, adolescence is often a difficult problem to solve. This writing uses a literature review and literature study by exploring various literature related to self-confidence in social interaction and group counseling approaches to rational emotive behavior therapy. Group counseling utilizes the dynamics of group members in the service process. The stages in the REBT counseling approach are using the ABC theory.
