Abstract

Engagement for lecturer in Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Principles of Higher Education) across the higher education has been widely investigated. However, the professional lecturer implementation had not shown practical packaging and could not reach all the skills that gift practically needed in the higher education role. The study aim is to describe the professionalism development of lecturers of Islamic higher education institutions in West Sumatera, Indonesia from the aspects of education, research, and community services, as constituted in the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Descriptive quantitative research method was used where the data taken from questionnaire and documentation. The population of the study includes 616 lecturers spreading from three Islamic state universities, with a sample of 62 lecturers. The finding showed that the professionalism development of the lecturers was done by designing lesson plans, pursuing doctoral education, attending conferences and workshops, involving students in community activities, and filling for intellectual property rights on their research. This indicates that the education and teaching, research and service can be used as a means of developing professional lectures at Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student mathematical literacy ability from the perspective of students' Mathematical Ability. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were three students of XI IPA 1 MAN 1 Padang with different mathematical abilities: low, medium, and high. Data were collected through documentation, tests, and interviews. The results of the analysis show that students with high abilities can solve routine problems, interpret problems and solve them with formulas, carry out procedures well, can deal with complex situations, use their reasoning in solving problems, can work effectively and interpret different representations and then relate them to the real world. Students with moderate abilities can solve routine problems, interpret problems and solve them with formulas, and carry out procedures properly. Meanwhile, students with low abilities are only able to solve routine questions. Based on these results, it is necessary to look for strategies in the mathematics learning process, which enable the improvement of students' mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

Background: In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on fostering students' mathematical disposition and promoting learning independence in mathematics education.Aim: This study aims to determine the relationship between mathematical disposition and learning independence of Mathematics Education students in West Sumatra.Method: This research employs a descriptive correlational design utilizing a survey method. The population consists of all Mathematics Education students enrolled in the academic year 2022, with a sample size of 291 students selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques include simple linear regression analysis and Pearson correlation.Results: The regression analysis revealed a positive influence of mathematical dispositions (X) on learning independence (Y) with a regression coefficient (b) of 2.15 and a significance level of 0.067. The correlation coefficient (r) was found to be 0.73, indicating a strong linear relationship between X and Y.Conclusion: The study concludes that there is a positive relationship between mathematical disposition and the learning independence of Mathematics Education students in West Sumatra. Higher levels of mathematical disposition are associated with greater learning independence.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Perlunya pendampingan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berbagai kendala yang dialami oleh santri dalam menjaga hafalannya, antara lain hafalan yang kurang baik dan pemahaman kaidah tajwid terhadap ayat-ayat yang dihafalnya. Tujuan: Pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk menilai kelancaran hafalan dan ketepatan membaca Al-Qur'an sesuai kaidah tajwid. Metode: Pendekatan pendampingan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang meliputi tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Hasil: Penerapan metode tikrar pada santri dapat meningkatkan proses hafalan, memudahkan mengulang ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an secara terus menerus dan tidak tergesa-gesa, serta hafalan dapat tertanam kuat dalam ingatan. Kesimpulan: Penerapan metode tikrar dapat meningkatkan kualitas hafalan dan bacaan Al-Qur'an santri sesuai kaidah tajwid, terbukti dari respon santri yang baik selama proses pendampingan.

Latar Belakang: Bantuan ini diperlukan mengingat masih banyaknya santri yang kesulitan membaca Al-Qur'an dengan baik dan benar sesuai kaidah tajwid, serta minimnya pemahaman mereka terhadap ketentuan bacaan. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca Al-Qur'an dengan baik dan benar, sesuai dengan konsep tajwid dan makhraj, dengan menggunakan teknik tartila. Metode: Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an siswa yang menggunakan metode tartila. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan ketepatan dalam melafalkan huruf-huruf hijaiyah, memahami kaidah tajwid, dan membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an dengan tartil dan khidmat. Kesimpulan: Penerapan teknik tartila dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca Al-Qur'an secara akurat dan efektif.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of family resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially from the perspective of Islamic education. So, research and development are needed to increase the resilience of character families. This research aimed to identify how the profile of family resilience with the Character of an Islamic education perspective during the Covid-19 pandemic in the family planning village and how the characteristic of family resilience with the Character of an Islamic education perspective during the Covid-19 pandemic in a family planning village that is valid, practical, and effective. The method used was research and development with qualitative and quantitative data approaches. The results were obtained through research on the Character Family Resilience Profile and Character Family Resilience Module. The family resilience profile based on the Islamic Education Perspective was characterized by five characteristics: Nationalism, independence, Mutual Cooperation, and Integrity as well as a character family resilience module during a pandemic in the KB village, which had been developed through a self-evaluation process, validation with five validators, one-on-one evaluation process, small group evaluation and extensive group evaluation resulting in a very valid, practical and effective module.

Abstract

Fenomena krisis makna hidup di kalangan santri milenial menjadi tantangan baru dalam pendidikan pesantren. Di tengah rutinitas spiritual yang padat, sebagian santri justru mengalami kehampaan batin, kebingungan arah hidup, dan tekanan eksistensial yang tidak mudah diatasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman santri dalam menghadapi krisis makna hidup serta bagaimana keterlibatan mereka dalam kegiatan spiritual di pesantren berperan dalam membentuk makna tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, khususnya model Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa santri mengalami krisis makna dalam bentuk kegelisahan spiritual, tekanan sosial, dan ketegangan identitas. Namun, melalui praktik dzikir, muhasabah, dan relasi dalam komunitas pesantren, sebagian santri berhasil mentransformasi krisis tersebut menjadi proses pencarian makna yang reflektif dan personal. Kegiatan spiritual tidak hanya menjadi ritual, tetapi juga ruang pemulihan psikologis dan rekonstruksi eksistensial. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan spiritual dan humanistik dalam pendidikan karakter di lingkungan pesantren yang lebih responsif terhadap dinamika batin generasi milenial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar modul Bahasa Inggris Terintegrasi Islam yang berkualitas serta layak untuk digunakan pada Madrasah tingkat Aliyah maupun SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, 2) membuat perencanaan (desain) produk, 3) mengembangkan produk, 4) melakukan uji coba awal, revisi produk dari hasil uji coba awal dan uji coba lapangan utama, dan 5) melalukan evaluasi dan revisi. Sample penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, validasi, angket, dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Produk yang dikembangkan sudah melewati beberapa kali uji coba baik skala terbatas maupun skala luas. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan di MAN 1 Pekanbaru pada kelas X TA. 2023/2024 dengan subjek berjumlah 20 Siswa. Uji coba pada skala luas dilakukan di tiga madrasah yaitu MAN 1 Pekanbaru, MAN 2 Pekanbaru, dan MAN 3 Pekanbaru dengan jumlah subjek 60 Siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan dari validator yaitu ahli materi, ahli integrasi Islam, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media. Respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sangat baik. Modul yang dihasilkan memenuhi kategori sangat efektif baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik dan sangat praktis dilihat dari keterlaksanaannya dalam pembelajaran, penilaian guru, dan siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk modul Bahasa Inggris Terintegrasi Islam untuk kelas X Madrasah Aliyah ini memiliki kualitas yang sangat baik ditinjau dari aspek validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas sehingga layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Indigenous communities are among the vulnerable groups at risk of being left behind in the development process. To uphold the "leave no one behind" principle of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is crucial to examine public policies affecting indigenous peoples. This article focuses on the indigenous community in Bukittinggi, specifically the Kurai people. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, combining an analysis of public policy documents with field research on the traditional leaders of Kurai Limo Jorong. The findings reveal that the Kurai Indigenous community in Bukittinggi resembles antimun bungkuak—present yet unrecognized. While they remain de facto founders of the city, with leaders and traditional institutions still in place, their influence has steadily declined. Public policies have progressively marginalized them, excluding their existence from official development plans and decision-making processes.
