Abstract

Letter recognition is a fundamental aspect of early childhood literacy. This study aims to analyze the effects of fishing-letter media and poster media on children"™s letter recognition and learning independence. A quantitative experimental design was employed involving 51 children at RA Kebun Ilmu, divided into an experimental group (26 children) and a control group (25 children). Instruments included a letter recognition test (24 items) and a learning independence questionnaire (20 statements). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. The results indicate that fishing-letter media significantly improved letter recognition (Z = 3.746; p < 0.001) and learning independence (Z = 3.543; p < 0.001), whereas poster media did not show significant effects (p > 0.05). Furthermore, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.001). Thus, fishing-letter media is more effective in enhancing early literacy and learning independence among young children.

Abstract

The teaching of writing in Senior High Schools is still hampered by a number of problems. This study aims to describe implementation of classroom actions using the FSWM learning and describe the model on students 'exposition text writing skills exposition text the 11th grade students at SMA Negeri Negeri 12 Makassar. This classroom action research was conducted in one XI IPA4 class of SMA Negeri 12 Makassar with 36 students from March to May 2020. The study involved two cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection, utilizing the Four Square Writing Method (FSWM) to improve students' exposition writing skills, with data collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, and field notes, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The research found that the Four Square Writing Method (FSWM) effectively improved both the process and product of writing exposition texts for XI IPA 4 students at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. Process improvements included increased student engagement, active participation, positive responses to the learning model, and conducive classroom interactions, while product success was reflected in enhanced writing skills. This research concludes by demonstrating the effectiveness of the Four Square Writing Method (FSWM) in enhancing students' exposition text writing skills while fostering a more interactive and conducive learning process.

Abstract

Children's creativity and speaking skills can be influenced by several factors, including learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of loose parts media and picture media on children's creativity and speaking skills. The research used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control groups approach. The population consisted of group B children at PPBI Batik Kindergarten and Suryodiningratan Kindergarten, Kemantren, Mantrijeron, totaling 74 students. The sampling employed purposive sampling methods. The control group comprised group B1 at PPBI Batik Kindergarten with 15 children and group B2 at Suryodiningratan Kindergarten with 22 children. The experimental group from PPBI Batik Kindergarten was B2 with 15 children, and from Suryodiningratan Kindergarten was B1 with 22 children. The assessment instruments for creativity and speaking skills each used observation sheets covering four dimensions on a Likert scale from 1 to 5. The validity and reliability of the instruments were confirmed through expert judgment and empirical testing. The study concluded that Loose Parts media significantly impacts children's creativity and speaking skills. Likewise, picture media significantly affects these skills. Children who engaged in activities with Loose Parts media showed better creativity and speaking skills compared to those using picture media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: hubungan antara vertical jump,terhadap akurasi smash bola voli pada ekstrakurikuler SMK N 4 Yogyakarta; hubungan antara sit up terhadap akurasi smash bola voli pada ekstrakurikuler SMK N 4 Yogyakarta; hubungan antara kecepatan terhadap akurasi smash bola voli pada ekstrakurikuler SMK N 4 Yogyakarta; hubungan secara bersama-sama antara vertical jump, sit up, dan kecepatan terhadap akurasi smash bola voli pada ekstrakurikuler SMK N 4 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional, dengan 1 variabel terikat (akurasi smash) dan 3 variabel bebas (vertical jump, sit up, kecepatan). Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMK N 4 Yoyakarta sebanyak 25 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran, dengan instrument TKJI usia 16-19 tahun untuk variable vertical jump, sit up dan kecepatan; tes akurasi smash dari Depdiknas (1999) untuk variabel akurasi smash. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi, regresi, uji t dan uji F melalui prasyarat uji normalitas, linearitas dan multikolinearitas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara vertical jump terhadap akurasi smash peserta ekstrakurikuler voli di SMK N 4 Yogyakarta sebesar 0,555 dengan kontribusi sebesar 16,3%. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara sit up terhadap akurasi smash peserta ekstrakurikuler voli di SMK N 4 Yogyakarta sebesar 0,494 dengan kontribusi sebesar 13,2%. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kecepatan terhadap akurasi smash peserta ekstrakurikuler voli di SMK N 4 Yogyakarta sebesar -0,527 dengan kontribusi sebesar 16,4%. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara vertical jump, sit up dan kecepatan secara Bersama-sama terhadap akurasi smash peserta ekstrakurikuler voli di SMK N 4 Yogyakarta sebesar 0,678 dengan kontribusi sebesar 45,9%.

Abstract

Inventory to transport transition was a critical operation that requires high efficiency in manufacturing. This study models the inventory transition of manufacturing plants in a supply chain network. The objective was to configure the minimum fleet utilization with fastest waiting time.  The configuration was performed using reinforcement learning assisted agent-based model (ABM) simulation. The ABM with fleet speed control have the best performance with average waiting time of 5.84 hours with lowest fleet utilization which surpasses other models. Lower fleet and waiting time provide rest periods for the driver. Therefore, performing speed control during transport improves human factor of the supply chain operation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Pop Up Book in science lessons on animal life cycle material forfourth grade elementary school. Pop Up Book media to make it easier for students to understand science learning material for animal life cycles. This research belongs to the type of research and development R&D (research and development) with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Data collection through observation, product design using the Canva application. The evaluation of the Pop Up Book product was validated by media and material experts, namely two lecturers at the Muslim Nusantara University Al-Washliyah Medan and interviews with fourth grade elementary school teachers. The results of the assessment from the validation stage are used as material for revising the Pop Up Book . The results showed that the validation results by material and media expert validators as well as interviews with teachers about the Pop Up Book media for learning science on animal life cycle materials were included in the "good" category and were suitable for use. Thus, the development of Pop Up Book media in science lessons for grade IV SD is suitable for use by schools, teachers, and students.

Abstract

The development of science and technology should be developed to facilitate the student learning process. In the learning process, an instrument is needed that can make it easier for students to learn and can increase learning activities, one of which can use student worksheets (LKPD). The purpose of this study was to develop LKPD for natural resources for class IV SD. The form of this research is R&D (Research and Development) and this development model uses the ADDIE model which consists of several stages. 1.Analysis, 2. Design, 3. Development. Data collection through observation, product design using the Canva application. The LKPD assessment was validated by media and material experts, namely two lecturers at the Muslim Nusantara University AlWashliyah Medan. The results of the assessment from the validation stage are used as material in revising the LKPD. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that social studies learning using LKPD can help in the teaching and learning process of fourth grade elementary school students, this is evident from the results of the validation of media experts who received appropriate responses to use after revision while material expert validation received appropriate responses to use with the material.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu proses atau upaya sistematis yang dilakukan untuk mentransfer pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan nilai-nilai dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk membentuk perkembangan dan potensi siswa dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa pendidikan merupakan kegiatan belajar mengajar untuk memperoleh keterampilan guna mengembangkan potensi diri sehingga menjadi manusia yang berkualitas, seperti pada kurikulum saat ini, yaitu kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Namun hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan di SD 105351 Bakaran Batu menunjukkan masih banyak siswa yang kurang fokus saat proses pembelajaran dikarenakan media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik sehingga menyebabkan minat belajar siswa menjadi rendah. Oleh karena itu, penyelesaian permasalahan di atas dapat dilakukan dengan menentukan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Media pembelajaran yang tepat adalah menggunakan media video scribe. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran video scribe sekaligus menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan produk yang dihasilkan sehingga layak untuk digunakan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Data tingkat efektivitas media videoscribe dapat diukur dari tingkat penguasaan siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan, dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 105351 Bakaran Batu sebesar 100% berada pada kategori sangat efektif. Peserta didik dianggap tuntas belajar apabila memperoleh nilai KKM sebesar atau lebih dari 75. Dengan demikian, persentase capaian belajar peserta didik sebesar 100% termasuk dalam kriteria sangat efektif.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu usaha yang dilakukan secara terencana dan sadar oleh setiap orang agar dapat mengembangkan suatu potensi yang ada didalam diri seseorang melalui suatu pembelalaran yang dilaksanakan didunia Pendidikan baik didalam maupun diluar sekolah. Tujuan dikembangkan media miniatur tumbuhanku pada pembelajaran perkembangbiakan tumbuhan secara generatif dikelas VI ialah agar dapat membantu siswa memahami materi pembelajaran Ipa dan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu: Analisis (Analysis). Perencanaan (Design). Pengembangan (Development). Penerapan (Implementation) dan Evaluasi (Evaluation). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI UPT SD Negeri 066053 Medan Denai sedangkan objek dalam penelitian adalah media miniatur tumbuhanku materi perkembangbiakan tumbuhan secara generatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, angket ahli media, angket ahli materi, angket minat belajar, angket respon siswa dan angket respon guru untuk mengetahui kevalidan media miniatur tumbuhanku tema selamatkan makhluk hidup yang dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari ahli media sebesar 86% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Dari hasil ahli materi didapatkan sebesar 100%. Dari hasil validasi minat belajar siswa didapatkan sebesar 80,3% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Dari hasil validasi respon siswa didapatkan sebesar 88% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Dari hasil validasi respon guru didapatkan sebesar 92,7% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Dari penilaian yang didapatkan dapat dikatakan nahwa media miniatur tumbuhanku tema selamatkan makhluk hidup yang dikembangkan “Sangat Layak” digunakan pada proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of seventh-grade IPS (Social Studies) students at SMPN 236 Jakarta through the implementation of domino card learning media. The educational problem identified was low learning outcomes due to less innovative learning methods. This study employed the Kemmis-McTaggart spiral model of Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in three cycles, encompassing planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 34 students from class VII-C. Data were collected through observation, tests (cognitive scores), and interviews. The results showed a significant improvement in the cognitive domain, with learning outcomes reaching 67.6% in Cycle I, 79.4% in Cycle II, and 85.2% in Cycle III, surpassing the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 75 and classical completeness of 80%. Furthermore, there was an increase in student engagement in the affective domain, particularly in questioning and collaboration skills. Domino cards proved effective in presenting material contextually and fostering collaboration. Thus, the application of GBL (Game-Based Learning) assisted by domino cards successfully improved students' learning outcomes and engagement in Social Studies. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VII-C SMPN 236 Jakarta melalui penerapan media pembelajaran kartu domino. Permasalahan pendidikan yang ditunjukkan merupakan rendahnya hasil belajar akibat pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model spiral Kemmis-Mc.Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 34 siswa kelas VII-C. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes (nilai kognitif), dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada ranah kognitif, dengan hasil belajar mencapai 67,6% pada Siklus I, 79,4% pada Siklus II, dan 85,2% pada Siklus III, melampaui KKM 75 dan ketuntasan klasikal 80%. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan keaktifan siswa pada ranah afektif, khususnya dalam kemampuan bertanya dan bekerja sama. Kartu domino terbukti efektif dalam menyajikan materi secara kontekstual dan mendorong kolaborasi. Dengan demikian, penerapan GBL berbantuan kartu domino berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa IPS.
