Abstract

The background of the problems raised in this legal research is the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on various government sectors, one of which is the tourism sector, because of this pandemic, local revenue has decreased due to tourism in Wonogiri that seems very quiet. during the Covid-19 pandemic. This legal research aims to explain the various impacts arising from the Covid-19 pandemic disaster for tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency and also to explain the policies carried out by the Regional Technical Implementation Unit) in developing tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used in this legal research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study explain that the important role of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit under the auspices of the Data of the Youth and Sports and Tourism Service to issue policies as a strategy for developing tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic so that the mobility of the tourism sector in Wonogiri keep going well.

Abstract

The use of plants for human needs is very high, especially among communities in suburban and rural areas. Communities are highly dependent on forests as their main source of sustenance. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Nelambo Suon (Bikkia sp.) plant stems among the Yali tribe in Yahukimo Regency, Papua. The method used was a survey, which was conducted through field observations and interviews using questionnaires. This study was conducted in four villages, namely Sabelebi, Muhumu, Kinkun, and Ohena, in the Heriapini District of Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains. This study involved 43 respondents consisting of primary informants, key informants, and supplementary informants. The results of the study show that the Bikkia plant is widely used by the Yali tribe in the Papua Mountains. The bark can be used as a remedy for malaria, while the trunk is used to make sehen arrows, suap arrows, and wangkun sticks (for harvesting crops). As many as 88.37% of the community acknowledged that the trunk of this tree is very strong and can be used for various purposes. However, conservation efforts for this plant have not yet been undertaken by the community. Considering that Bikkia sp., found in Yahukimo, is one of several species with limited distribution in the world, conservation efforts are needed.

Abstract

Kusalamitra Buddhist Pasastrian in Gunungkidul is one of the institutions that organizes non-formal education. Kusalamitra Buddhist Pasastrian is engaged in non-formal education and training that is social and religious in nature. The Kusalamitra Buddhist Pasastrian organizes religious education and training such as Dharma guidance, meditation practice, religious ceremony practice, guidance and training of Buddhist youth. The habituation of behaving based on Buddhist teachings is the main goal of this Pasatrian Education. One of the education and training programs at the Kusalamitra Buddhist Pasastrian is vipassanā bhavana training. Some students are diligent in implementing vipassanā bhavana, but some are not diligent. In addition, there are still some students who do not have good self-control (samvara). The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the implementation of vipassanā bhavana on the self-control (samvara) of students at the Kusalamitra Buddhist Pasastrian. This study is a quantitative study with a population of 44 students. The results of the study showed that the implementation of vipassanā bhavana had an effect on self-control (samvara), by 55% and the remaining 45% was influenced by other factors.

A community's socio-cultural characteristics influence how agricultural systems evolve to support livelihoods. In rural and inland areas, such as in Keerom District, Papua Province, Indonesia, food security is heavily reliant on the availability of natural resources. The local communities in Keerom maintain a hunting-gathering culture and the traditional agricultural systems. This study aims to determine how the agricultural sector in Keerom has developed to meet the needs of people on the border with Papua New Guinea. This includes introducing oil palm and corn as new efforts to develop superior commodities. A survey was conducted using qualitative research techniques and interview methods. The survey analyzed the social, economic, and ecological systems that underlie the evolution of livelihood systems in the region. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with traditional farmers, indigenous community leaders, migrant communities, and other stakeholders, supplemented by field observations. The findings reveal a significant shift in livelihood systems, rooted in evolutionary developments since the time of the ancestors of the Keerom community. This transformation is closely tied to the community's hunting-gathering culture, traditional agricultural practices, the introduction of modern agriculture, the establishment of oil palm plantations, and the implementation of the central government's food estate program. The study highlights that oil palm and corn cultivation present substantial economic opportunities, particularly in terms of income generation and infrastructure development. However, these benefits are accompanied by notable challenges, including shifts in traditional cropping patterns, land tenure conflicts, and adverse impacts on local biodiversity. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how the integration of new commodities reshapes the agrarian and social landscapes in Keerom District. It also provides insights into the implications for sustainable agricultural development policies in the region, offering a promising path forward for the community and its stakeholders.

Abstract

Rotan Indonesia adalah salah satu komoditas alami yang telah diperdagangkan sejak lama. Sebagai salah satu kekayaan alam, rotan memiliki peran penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya saing furniture rotan Indonesia ke negara-negara pengimpor terbesarnya dan juga menganalisis faktor-faktor penentu yang mempengaruhi daya saing furniture rotan Indonesia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data deret waktu tahunan yakni dari 2007-2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu melalui uji daya saing dengan pendekatan Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) dan Revealed Symetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) digunakan untuk menganalisis daya saing furniture rotan Indonesia ke negara-negara importir eropa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki daya saing yang lebih tinggi di 4 negara pengimpor, terutama di pasar furniture rotan negara Inggris dan Italia yang memiliki daya saing lebih tinggi dibanding pasar lainnya.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the top coffee producers in the world. The major markets for Indonesian coffee are European Union (EU), then Germany is the largest importing country. This research analyzed the position for Indonesian robusta coffee in Germany among Vietnam and India as the major producers of robusta coffee as Indonesia. The econometric model of the Linear Approximate Almost Ideal Demand System was used to estimate a position for Indonesian robusta coffee among its competitors. The analysis utilized time-series data from 1996 to 2017. The results of the study showed that the main exporting countries, including Indonesia, tended to have lower import tariffs than other countries, not the main exporters. The demand for imported coffee beans was generally influenced by the prices of major exporters, but demand for imported roasted coffee was not affected by the prices of major importing countries. Indonesian coffee beans in the German market was elastic, while roasted coffee was inelastic. Indonesian coffee competed with Vietnam both for coffee beans and roasted coffee. The expenditure elasticity of Indonesian coffee beans was positive and Indonesian roasted coffee was negative.

Abstract

Auction is one of the pricing mechanisms that has been widely applied in various fields. The auction market which was widely applied to non-agricultural goods has now developed in agriculture such as the chili auction market in Panjatan District, Kulon Progo Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the institutional profile of the chili auction and the process of implementing the chili auction managed by farmers in Panjatan District, Kulon Progo Regency. Descriptive analysis used to analyze the institutional profile of the chili auction market and the auction process. The results showed that the institutional auction market in the District of Panjatan is an institution that is managed jointly by chili farmers in the District of Panjatan with the terms that have been mutually agreed upon. The auction mechanism is carried out in three stages, namely pre-auction activities, auction activities and post-auction activities. Determination of auction prices using the mechanism of the first price auction. This auction mechanism will minimize collusion between traders, and force traders to compete for chili supply from farmers in Panjatan District with the highest price offer that can be given.

Abstract

The Special Efforts Program (UPSUS) is a government program to achieve sustainable food self-sufficiency, one of which is the commodity of corn. The success of the UPSUS program is inseparable from the participation of farmers. Some factors affect the level of farmer participation. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence farmers' participation in the UPSUS program. The study was carried out from August to October 2019 in Pandeglang Regency. The research involved 94 respondents who were joined in the UPSUS Program on maize commodity. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis. The results showed that the ability of farmers and the opportunity factor had a positive and significant effect on the level of farmer participation. This implies that the higher farmers’ ability and the number of opportunities obtained by farmers increase the level of farmer participation in the UPSUS corn program. Farmer characteristics have a positive impact but do not possess a significant effect on the level of farmer participation.

Abstract

The increase in Indonesia’s dairy imports confirms that Indonesia is more dependent on imports. Practically, the bigger import dependence leads to the bigger exposure of import to GDP. The characteristics of imports are also described by the degree of import concentration. These research objectives are: (1) to find out the level of import dependency and the degree of import openness of Indonesian dairy imports; and (2) to find out the import concentration of Indonesian dairy imports based on commodity and geographic concentrations. This study uses the Import Dependency Ratio (IDR) method, the degree of import openness (DKI), the degree of commodity concentration (DKK); and degree of geographic concentration (DKG). This research uses annual time series secondary data in 2014 to 2018 for the dairy HS code as follows: (1) HS 0401, (2) HS 0402, (3) HS 0403, (4) HS 0404, (5) HS 0405, and (6) HS 0406. The results showed Indonesia has a high dependence on dairy products; with an average of 40.42 percent of Indonesia's dairy needs are met from imports. However, the degree of import openness of dairy imports is still relatively low; Indonesian dairy import spends 0.14 percent of Indonesia's GDP. Indonesian dairy imports are relatively distributed in the six dairy HS codes. Geographically, only HS code 0405 imports which are concentrated from one source, specifically from New Zealand. Meanwhile, dairy imports from other HS codes are relatively distributed from various countries.

Abstract

Tingginya permintaan udang vaname mendorong pemerintah untuk meningkatkan produksi sehingga dapat bersaing di pasar dunia, tetapi adanya keterbatasan kapasitas pada tambak sehingga dilakukan budidaya udang vaname keramba jaring apung laut. Pendekatan ini memerlukan penilaian kelayakan, baik pada aspek ekonomi, ekologi, maupun sosial. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji kelayakan tersebut. Lokasi penelitian ditetapkan secara purposive di Kepulauan Seribu. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan dengan metode survei dengan teknik wawancara dibantu dengan pertanyaan terstruktur. Pengumpulan data sekunder dilakukan ke instansi seperti Pusat Kajian Sumberdaya Pesisir dan Lautan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis finansial dan analisis Rapid Appraisal of Fisheries (RAPFISH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada aspek finansial menunjukkan kriteria B/C rasio masih berada B/C < 1, sehingga tidak layak untuk dijalankan. Pada aspek ekologi dan sosial berdasarkan analisis RAPFISH memiliki kategori cukup berkelanjutan sehingga perlu adanya peningkatan terhadap atribut-atribut yang sensitif. Apabila dibandingkan dengan altenatif usaha lainnya dapat dilihat bahwa opportunity cost yang hilang saat memilih usaha udang vaname yaitu sebesar Rp84.740.000/th. Aspek ekologi dengan aspek sosial dengan nilai indeks keberlanjutan pada kategori cukup berkelanjutan maka dapat dikategorikan layak untuk pengembangan usaha udang vaname keramba jaring apung laut.
