Abstract

Rempek Village has a potential of 760.18 hectares of dry land, or 31.80% of the total area, which has not been optimally utilized. The availability of 4 units of groundwater pump machines built since 1990 has not been utilized by the community because the groundwater pump well outlets are not equipped with irrigation channels. The community only utilizes dry land during the rainy season, with the main crops being rice, corn, cassava, and several types of secondary crops. To inspire the community to utilize groundwater pump wells in Rempek Village, the Faculty of Agriculture Team from Universitas 45 Mataram conducted a community service activity on the implementation of drip irrigation technology in the cultivation of watermelon plants on dry land in Rempek Village. The results of this community service activity are: a) farmers were given an understanding of the optimization of dry land by utilizing existing water resource potential; b) farmers practiced the installation and operation of drip irrigation networks, and c) farmers were given knowledge and practical experience in watermelon cultivation. The results of the application of drip irrigation technology provided understanding on: a) increasing the planting period on dry land, allowing farmers to grow more crops and increase their income; b) ensuring a stable water supply for crop cultivation, which can increase agricultural productivity and reduce the risk of crop failure; c) the potential for increased income through crop cultivation during the dry season, thus improving farmers' income and welfare; and d) increased use of groundwater resources, which is beneficial for improving agricultural productivity.

Abstract

The deep learning approach in education is a learning strategy oriented towards deep conceptual understanding, reflective, and integrative. This research aims to analyze the deep learning approach from the perspective of three main learning theories namely cognitive, humanistic, and constructivistic. The deep learning approach is considered relevant in facing the challenges of 21st century education because it focuses on deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and active involvement of learners in the learning process. However, the implementation of this approach is often not supported by a strong theoretical understanding. Therefore, this research uses a descriptive qualitative literature study method by analyzing various academic sources to identify the contribution of each theory to the deep learning approach. The results show that cognitive theories provide the basis for information processing strategies and metacognition; humanistic theories emphasize the importance of intrinsic motivation, personal values, and individual growth; while constructivistic theories support active, collaborative, and contextual learning. The synthesis of the three perspectives forms a comprehensive conceptual foundation for developing deep learning designs that are transformative and holistic. This research provides a significant conceptual contribution in the development of learning strategies that integrate cognitive, affective, and social aspects in a balanced manner

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social capital on community resilience in facing tidal flooding in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. A mixed methods approach was used, combining a quantitative survey of 300 respondents and qualitative interviews with community leaders, fishermen, and village officials. Social capital variables were measured through the dimensions of trust, social networks, and mutual aid norms, while community resilience variables included adaptive capacity, collective capacity, access to resources, and post-disaster recovery. Quantitative analysis results indicate that social capital has a highly significant impact on community resilience, with an R² value of 0.974 and significance of 0.000. Dimensions of inter-resident trust, participation in social groups, and mutual aid norms were found to be dominant factors in strengthening coastal community resilience. Qualitative analysis reinforces these findings by describing adaptive and collective community responses, such as building stilt houses, activating mutual aid, and strengthening coordination with external parties such as the government and NGOs. Both quantitative and qualitative results indicate that social capital functions as a key mechanism in strengthening the resilience of Pontianak communities against tidal flooding. This study underscores that disaster risk reduction strategies in the coastal areas of West Kalimantan require not only structural interventions but also the strengthening of social capital as the foundation of community resilience

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership model of the Kiai in developing the culture of memorizing the Al-Qur'an at the Darul Fikri Islamic Boarding School in Sidoarjo Regency. A qualitative case study approach was used in this study. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Inductive data analysis included categorizing data, grouping it into units of analysis, forming patterns, and drawing inductive conclusions based on the collected empirical data. Data Validity The researcher used source and method triangulation techniques and conducted reference adequacy. The study results indicate that the Kiai leadership applied is transformative, focusing on character building, strengthening spirituality, and achieving memorization targets systematically and measurably. The main strategies include arranging the students' daily schedules, time discipline, clear teaching methods, and leaders' active coaching involvement. The development of the tahfidz culture is supported by regular teacher development programs, student leadership training, and collaboration between teachers, parents, and boarding school administrators. The monitoring and evaluation process is carried out periodically with the tasmi' system, memorization tests, and digital technology for reporting students' progress. Furthermore, tahfidz teachers are required to possess high competence and moral-spiritual commitment, and are allowed to participate in a memorization program to recognise their achievements. The requirements for murajaah (recitation of the Qur'an) are also strictly regulated to maintain the quality of students' memorization, requiring students to recite without the Mushaf and repeat forgotten verses. These findings demonstrate that the success of a tahfidz culture is primarily determined by visionary leadership, collective involvement, and a structured and sustainable management system.
