Abstract

The rainbow connection was first introduced by Chartrand in 2006 and then in 2009 Krivelevich and Yuster first time introduced the rainbow vertex connection. Let graph be a connected graph. The rainbow vertex-connection is the assignment of color to the vertices of a graph , if every vertex on the graph is connected by a path graph that has interior vertices in different colors. The minimum number of colors from the rainbow vertex coloring in the graph is called rainbow vertex connection number which is denoted . The results of the research are the rainbow vertex connection number of bull graph, net graph, triangular ladder graph, and graph composition (Pn[P1]).

Abstract

Zain Academy as a non-formal English course institution faces obstacles in administrative management, especially related to attendance lists and student registration which are still done manually. This manual system causes various problems such as the risk of losing data, low work efficiency, and delays in recapitulating information. The purpose of this service activity is to provide practical solutions based on digital technology through assistance in using Google Form as a tool in compiling and managing digital administration. The service method used includes five main stages: identification of partner needs through field observations, design of Google Form-based digital forms, technical training for institution managers, system implementation in operational activities, and evaluation of the effectiveness of using digital forms. The solution offered is the use of two types of Google Forms, namely attendance register forms and student registration forms, which are integrated with Google Sheets and Google Drive. The results of the activity show that partners are able to operate this system independently, and have proven to be able to improve recording efficiency, data accuracy, and speed up the process of recapitulating administrative information. This activity also has a positive impact in shaping an adaptive digital work culture in the institutional environment. The conclusion of this activity is that simple technology-based assistance such as Google Form can be an effective solution for administrative digitalisation in non-formal education institutions. The limitation of this programme lies in the scope of the solution which is still limited to two aspects of administration. Therefore, it is recommended that broader system development and further training be carried out in the future, as well as replication of this model in similar institutions to strengthen digital technology-based governance in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Global environmental issues such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, and increased waste demand sustainable education strategies to foster pro-environmental awareness and attitudes continuously. Continuing education is an important approach to strengthening environmental education management, as it can shape broader public understanding, skills, and participation. This study aims to analyse the influence of continuing education on environmental education management in educational institutions that have implemented sustainability-based programmes. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The research population comprises educators, educational staff, and participants in environmental education programmes. The Lemeshow technique determined the sample, resulting in 68 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on their active involvement in sustainable education programmes. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, while data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that continuing education positively affected the effectiveness of environmental education management. Sustainable education has been proven to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions to manage environmental education in a consistent, focused, and sustainable manner. These findings confirm that the success of environmental education management depends not only on policies or curricula but also on the quality of the implementation of continuing education carried out systematically. The implications of this research provide a theoretical and practical basis for developing continuing education strategies in supporting environmental education management in various contexts.

Abstract

The problems of members of the Manggarai Women’s Farmers Group in Padaleu Village, Kambu District, Kendari City are (1) so far no party has socialized the adverse effects of using inorganic fertilizers and the trend of public awareness of consuming organic food ingredients so that farmers are directed to use organic fertilizers. (2) the target audience has not received an explanation about LOF, including the basic ingredients, benefits, how to make it, and its application to vegetable plants in the yard. This activity aims to (1) Improve the knowledge of Women Farmer Group members about the adverse effects of using inorganic fertilizers, (2) Provide understanding to the community about using rice washing water as a basic ingredient for LOF, and (3) Increase knowledge about LOF methods, materials and applications. This activity begins with direct observation in the field to discover the problem and determine the method used in the activity—next, socialization with members of the Women’s Farmers Group. The method used is a combination of counseling and technical guidance as follows: (1) Socialization through delivering materials, lectures and discussions regarding the negative impacts of inorganic fertilizers used on humans, soil and the environment; the importance/benefits of LOF and what basic ingredients can be used in making LOF; and benefits of LOF, and (2) Making liquid organic fertilizer based on rice washing water with the help of EM-4 to be applied to organic vegetable plants in the yard. LOF is fermented for 2 weeks, resulting in a 60 L volume. Applying LOF based on rice washing water can increase the growth and yield of vegetable plants in the yard.

Abstract

Atherosclerosis is a leading cause of coronary heart disease. This study analyses how elliptically shaped stenoses alter blood-flow velocity in coronary arteries. The governing equations are discretised with the finite-volume method, coupling pressure and velocity through the SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure-Linked Equations) algorithm and accelerating convergence with the Successive Over-Relaxation (SOR) technique. A weighted Gauss–Seidel iteration whose over-relaxation factor ( in this work) damps low-frequency error modes, cutting the number of iterations needed for residuals to fall below 10⁻⁴ by roughly 40 % compared with the standard Gauss–Seidel scheme. Simulations of 30 %, 50 %, and 70 % constrictions were carried out in MATLAB R2013a and ANSYS Fluent. Quantitative and qualitative cross-validation of the two software packages confirmed consistent velocity and pressure fields, though minor discrepancies arose from differing numerical schemes and model assumptions, underscoring the need for experimental verification. The highest centre-line velocity occurred at 70 % stenosis—0.72075 m/s in MATLAB versus 0.90 m/s in Fluent—while the lowest was recorded at 30 %. Velocity–pressure profiles showed that increasing inlet velocity or degree of narrowing elevates velocity but decreases pressure, with the largest drop (11492.4 Pa in MATLAB; 11747.32 Pa in Fluent) again at 70% stenosis. Study limitations include modelling blood as a Newtonian fluid and idealising arterial geometry; future work should incorporate non-Newtonian rheology and patient-specific shapes to enhance physiological accuracy.
