Abstract : The aim of this research was to find out whether there is significant effect of using video songs in the teaching of English vocabulary on the students` listening skill. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Kuantan Hilir Seberang. It was applied by using one-group pre test-post test design. This is a pre-experimental research. The instruments were tests which consisted of listening and vocabulary. The researcher used 21 students as the sample. This research selected by used quantitative data and the instrument used to collect the data is a listening video song. The tests consisted of 25 items. The test was used to get data about students` ability in listening skill and their vocabulary mastery. In order to know the difference between the pre-test and the post-test and to analyze the hypothesis, t-test formula was used. It is found that, the mean score of pre-test and post-test is 68.19 and 73.90. In other words, the mean score of post-test is higher than the mean score of pre-test. The result also showed that the value of t-test (4.094) is higher than t-table (2.086) at the significance level 5%. It means that Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that the vocabulary mastery of the students in listening skill was significant.Key Words: Effect, Video Song, Vocabulary Mastery, Listening Skill.

HIV/AIDS merupakan masalah kesehatan di seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia. Jumlah kasus HIV/AIDS di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan begitupula kasus HIV pada perempuan dan anak. Tes HIV selama kehamilan merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mencegah penularan HIV dari ibu ke anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan penerimaan tes HIV oleh ibu hamil. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian cros-sectional dan besar sampel penelitian adalah 220 ibu hamil. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat, bivariat dengan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang ditemukan berhubungan dengan penerimaan tes HIV oleh ibu hamil adalah pendidikan ( p value = 0,047), Sedangkan faktor yang tidak ditemukan berhubungan dengan penerimaan tes HIV oleh ibu hamil adalah umur ( p value = 0,293), pengetahuan ( p value = 0,385), Secara statistic dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan pendidikan dengan penerimaan tes HIV oleh ibu hamil dan tidak ada hubungan antara umur dan pengetahuan ibu dengan penerimaan tes HIV di Puskesmas Jumpandang Baru. Petugas kesehatan sebaiknya menguatkan kegiatan penyuluhan tentang cara penularan HIV/AIDS, tujuan dan sasaran tes HIV kepada orang yang mendapatkan layanan VCT ataupun kepada masyarakat umum agar mereka memiliki pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik dalam memahami tentang HIV/AIDS sebagai dasar alasan melakukan tes HIV.Â

Penelitian  ini  adalah  penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan jangka panjang yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah melalui model pembelajaran imajinatif akan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik dan kreativitas siswa.  Target     khusus     penelitian   ini  adalah (1) seberapa jauh kemampuan mengarang siswa dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran imajinatif  (2) bagaimana pengaruh metode pembelajaran imajinatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa SDN Kota Palopo. Adapun tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tekhnik pengamatan/ Observasi, wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis diskriptif komparatif dengan membandingkan nilai tes antara siklus dan indikator kinerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi perkembangan dan perubahan subjek setelah subjek diberikan diberlakukan khusus atau dikondisikan pada situasi tertentu, dengan pembelajaran tindakan dalam kurun waktu tertentu dan berulangulang sampai program dinyatakan berhasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan (action research) sebanyak tiga putaran. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: rancangan, kegiatan dan pengamatan, refleksi, dan refisi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa SDN Kota Palopo. Tahap pengumpulan data yaitu pemberian tes hasil belajar dan angket respons siswa. Data yang telah dikumpulkan  dianalisis secara  kualitatif,  kuantitatif,  analisis statistika deskriptif, dan analisis statistika inferensial.

The objective of the study was to know the teachers perception toward theimplementation of Students Centered Method ( SCM) in comparison to TeacherCentered Method(TCM) to the secondary school studentsRiau province. Thesubject of the study was 28 the secondary school teachers of six regencies in Riauprovince.The result of the study indicated that English teachers moderately to highlysupported the implementation of SCM in teaching reading. They showed theirgreater agreement to SCM method than TCM in terms of conditional, conceptual ,instructional, and students - learning perspectives. The comparison of teachers’perception toward the implementation of SCM were significantly greater than theirperception toward TCM in teaching reading. For classroom assessment, grammarand vocabulary mastery, and content learningfor instructional perspectivesdimension and memorizing strategy and everyday reading habit for studentslearning perspectives dimension, teachers showed positive perspective to TCMthan to SCM but there was no significant differences on means value of bothmethods. Lastly, there were no significant differences on teachers perceptionregarding their, ages, sex, education except for those teaching experiences above20 years but with no significantly differed on mean value of both .Keywords: perception, student centered method, teacher centered method

Abstract: The research was aimed to determine the effect of the Know-Want-Learned (KWL) strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMP Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. This pre-experimental research used the design of one group pretest-posttest and was carried out at Tri Bhakti School in Pekanbaru. A total of 27 students from class VIII.1 in the 2019/2020 academic year were selected as samples, they were selected by using the cluster random sampling. The Sample class was treated using the KWL strategy. The instrument used was a multiple-choice that consisted of 40 questions. Then, the data obtained from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by SPSS version 23.0. The results show that the value of the pre-test is 46 and increased in the post-test to 77. Then the T-test was tested and obtained T-test > T-table (13,659 > 2,056) with a significant level of 5% which means there is a significant effect of the KWL strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMP Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts.Key Words: Reading, Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Text, KWL Strategy

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data empiris mengenai efektivitas model pembelajaran circuit learning terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi siswa ditinjau dari kreativitas siswa kelas V SDN 1 Gunung Terang Bandarlampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Gunung Terang, Bandarlampung. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik multistage randomg sampling. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi: (1) analisis data secara deskriptif; (2) Uji persyaratan; (3) analisis data secara inferensial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan teknik ANAVA satu jalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil perhitungan Anova satu jalan, diketahui nilai signifikasi (Sig.) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata nilai menulis puisi dari ketiga kategori kreativitas (tinggi-sedang-rendah) adalah “Berbeda†secara signifikan.

Pandemic Covid-19 membawa dampak yang cukup signifikan terhadap proses belajar mengajar. Didasari perubahan cara belajar secara luring menjadi daring baik pada mata kuliah teori maupun praktik, tentu perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus dalam proses penyampaian materi perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pengembangan media khusus yang dapat dipelajari oleh mahasiswa secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang, mengimplementasikan, mengetahui kelayakan media, kepraktisan media dan keefektivan media serta respon mahasiswa terhadap pengembangan media video tutorial pada mata kuliah teknologi menjahit untuk materi cara mengoperasikan mesin jahit. Video ini dikembangkan guna mendukung pembelajaran daring dimasa pandemic virus corona. Pengembangan media video tutorial menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D melalui 4 tahapan yaitu tahap Define (pendefinisian), tahap Design (perancangan), tahap Development (pengembangan) dan tahap Disseminate (menyebarkan). Penelitian dan pengembangan ini melalui tahap uji validitas, uji praktikalitas dan uji efektifitas. Hasil penelitian terhadap uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan skor 3.75 pada rerata 3.20 – 4.00, maka aspek yang dinilai dikategorikan sangan jelas atau “Sangat validâ€. uji praktikalitas sebesar 89.1 % dengan kategori “Sangat praktisâ€. dan uji efektifitas pada faktor motivasi balejar mahasiswa sebesar 85.12% dengan kategori “Sangat tinggi†dan hasil belajar psikomotor mahasiswa dengan perolehan nilai 80 dengan kriteria “Baikâ€.

Abstract: The objective of the research was to find out whether there is a significant correlation between students’ reading interest and their reading speed. The subject of this research was the fifth semester students of English Study Program of FKIP UR 2020. This quantitative research used a questionnaire and reading speed tests. The data were collected Online using Google Form. The total number of samples (N) is 36. The average score of reading interest (variable X) is 2429 and the average score of reading speed (variable Y) is 8351. The sum of multiple score of both variables (XY) is 571004.7. The sum of quadrate score of reading interest (X2) is 167525 and the sum of quadrate of reading speed (Y2) is 1985457. Students’ reading speed is categorized into average level with the average score 231.97. The result of the correlation index between variable X and variable Y is 0.57. and this research showed that the correlation between students’ reading interest and their reading speed is in moderate level.Key Words: Correlation, Reading Interest, Reading Speed

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out whether or not there is significant effect of PENS strategy on students’ ability at SMP IT Madani Pekanbaru in Writing. The research design is a pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample was all of students VIII. In order to collect the data, the pre-test and post-test were administered and then the data were statistically analyzed by using the t-test formula. The result showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than mean score of pre-test (67.61 > 59.68). The value of t-test was 11.360 while the value of t-table in significance level 5% df = 34 was 2.032. Since the value of the t-test was higher than t-table, it can be concluded that Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that there was significant effect of PENS strategy on students’ ability in writing at SMP IT Madani Pekanbaru.Key Words: Effect, PENS strategy, Writing Ability

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the quality of summative test that wasconducted by the teacher at the eleventh grade of SMA Nurul Pekanbaru and wasconstructed as descriptive quantitative research. The sample consisted of 53 students inthe second semester of the academic year 2020/2021 and was selected by using totalsampling with the lottery method. Furthermore, the instrument of English final test thatconstructed in the form of 40 multiple choice questions was firstly identified andgrouped based on the classification of each domain of cognitive dimension according toBloom’s taxonomy revision that contained two levels namely HOTS (High OrderThinking Skills) and LOTS (Low Order Thinking Skills). Then, all students’ answerswere analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 25for windows to analyze the validity and reliability of the test. The result showed that thetest questions just obtained 50% of applying (C3), 27.5% of understanding (C2), and22.5% of remembering (C1) of LOTS levels whereas HOTS levels (analyzing,evaluating, and creating) weren’t even found. Furthermore, its reliability quotient wasjust 0.729 (lower than 1.00) with 3 (8%) items categorized as invalid questions, and thevalid items of 37 (92%) questions were predominantly classified in low interpretation.This research clearly showed that the test didn’t fulfill the qualification of a good test.Key Words: Validity, Reliability, Cognitive, Educational Taxonomies, Summative Test
