Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) technology can facilitate daily work in various fields. This study aims to implement smart farming for oyster mushroom cultivation based on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and ESP8266. The sensors used are temperature and humidity sensors with NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller so that they can take advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept. The design of the prototype tool is designed in the form of a prototype box. The prototype box has 2 rooms that aim to apply the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) method, so that data in each different room can be retrieved and then sent the data to the website. Tests were carried out to measure the comparison of temperature and humidity sensors with manual measurement tools. The results of this study show an absolute error average of 0.606% for temperature data and an absolute error of 0.627% for humidity data. This shows that the overall system is good and responsive.

Abstract

This study investigates the development and evaluation of an Android-based security system for residential areas, focusing on entrance and exit gate control. Recognizing the limitations of existing systems, we propose an "IoT-based Fingerprint Security Village" application. The system utilizes a prototype development model informed by data collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The application allows residents to monitor and access gates using fingerprint scanners, enhancing security and convenience. To ensure quality, the system underwent rigorous testing based on the ISO 25010 software testing standard. Testing encompassed five key aspects, Functional Suitability: The application achieved a perfect score, indicating it flawlessly performs its intended functions. Portability: The application successfully functioned on all 14 tested Android devices. Performance Efficiency: CPU usage remained exceptionally low (average 0.1%, max 5.5%), and memory usage (average 58.2 MB, max 86.5 MB) demonstrated efficient resource utilization. Security: Testing revealed a low-medium security risk, highlighting areas for potential improvement. Usability: The user-friendliness test yielded a very high score (92%), placing it in the "Very Feasible" category. These results confirm that the "IoT-based Fingerprint Security Village" application effectively meets all evaluated aspects of the chosen software testing standard.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the One-Time Password (OTP) system on the Inventory Lab website of the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, focusing on OTP and user password security against Brute Force attacks. The objectives include testing OTP validation, analyzing OTP vulnerabilities to Brute Force attacks, and examining the resilience of user passwords under similar attacks. The study contributes to cyber security research by offering insights into implementing OTP and SHA-3 encryption algorithms on websites. Its findings aim to enhance the security measures of the Inventory Lab website. Results indicate that OTP delivery on the website is both successful and secure, with codes encrypted using SHA-3, rendering them unreadable in the database. OTP validation effectively distinguished correct and incorrect codes, including those that expired due to time limits. However, Brute Force trials on OTPs succeeded in some cases due to extended expiration times. Reducing the expiration period to one minute significantly minimized this risk. Similarly, trials on user passwords showed that passwords with complex character combinations resisted attacks more effectively than simpler ones. In summary, the OTP system and SHA-3 encrypted passwords demonstrate robust security but require adjustments to OTP expiration settings and stronger password policies to mitigate the risks of brute-force attacks. These improvements will further safeguard the website’s security infrastructure.

Abstract

This study presents an experimental approach to enhance content-blocking systems by integrating machine learning with domain classification and Pi-hole DNS server technology. While traditional blocking mechanisms often result in false positives—legitimate domains mistakenly blocked—this research aims to mitigate such issues. By implementing various testing scenarios, including TF-IDF and N-gram feature extraction with and without preprocessing, the study evaluates the classification performance using the Naive Bayes algorithm. The results reveal the highest accuracy of 84% achieved with the N-gram method without preprocessing. This integrated approach shows promise in improving the precision of ad and website blocking mechanisms.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of Interactive Multimedia Learning Objects (IMLO) on the reading interest of mentally impaired students at SLB Al Qasmi Watampone. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observation, teacher interviews, and document analysis. The focus was on four key indicators of reading interest: joyful feeling, willingness, attention, and participation, as adapted from Slameto (2010). Five students with mentally impaired were observed during reading sessions that incorporated IMLO, while two teachers provided insights on students' behavior and learning progress. The findings revealed that the use of IMLO significantly improved students’ engagement in all four aspects of reading interest. Students showed greater emotional enjoyment, motivation, focus, and active involvement in reading activities when interacting with multimedia-based materials. Teachers noted that IMLO encouraged autonomy and curiosity, although limitations such as limited device access, the need for supervision, and weak memory retention remained challenges. Overall, IMLO proved to be an effective tool for supporting literacy development among mentally impaired students. The study suggests that with adequate infrastructure and teacher training, IMLO can be implemented successfully in inclusive education settings to enhance student motivation and participation in reading.

Abstract

Background & objectives: Bullying in schools remains a significant concern, manifesting in various forms, including physical aggression, verbal abuse, and social exclusion. This study investigates the effectiveness of traditional games in reducing bullying behavior among students at MIN 1 Makassar. Method: Using a quasi-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, 60 students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using paired sample t-tests to determine statistical significance. Results: The findings of this study are: 1) bullying practices before the traditional game intervention were in three categories, namely very often 64%, frequent category 17%, never reaching 20%; 2) bullying practices after the traditional game intervention were in three categories, namely very often 24%, frequent category 9%, never reaching 67%; 3) the results of the statistical test obtained t = 15.03, p = 0.032, thus proving that traditional games have a significant influence on bullying behavior. Contribution of theory: Theoretically, the results of this study have developed a theory of Islamic education for the instillation of the values of tasamuh, ta'awun, and ihtiram that support character education. The integration of traditional games in school activities not only enhances social skills but also reinforces moral and ethical behavior. This study highlights the importance of incorporating culturally relevant educational tools to address bullying and promote a harmonious school environment. Limitations & Recommendations: Future research should explore long-term impacts and scalability in different educational settings to validate these findings further.

Abstract

Sasak Puppet is one of the traditional performing arts that is believed to be a medium for broadcasting Islam on Lombok Island. This conclusion is strengthened by using scripts Serat Menak as the performance material. Serat Menak is based on the Persian story Qisa El Amir Hamza, with the central character Amir Hamzah, the uncle of the prophet Muhammad SAW. In practice, the Sasak Puppet performance in Lombok is played not only by Muslim puppeteers but also by Hindu puppeteers. Sasak Puppet is also enjoyed by the Muslim community and the Hindu community in Lombok; even the Sasak Puppet performance is also held in a temple, a place of worship for Hindus. This study describes the existence of pluralism in the Sasak Puppet performance, starting from the performance material and the interaction of the puppeteers and the Sasak Puppet enthusiasts both in the performance space and in everyday life outside the performance. As a product of intercultural communication, Sasak Puppet deserves to be a reference for the public who wants to build pluralism in a multicultural society.

Abstract

This study describes the Principal's leadership in improving teacher performance at MTs Nurul Qadim Paiton. The background of this study stems from the central role of the principal as an educational leader in creating a conducive school environment that supports the professional development of teachers. In many Islamic education institutions, teacher performance is often influenced by the leadership approach implemented by the school principal. Therefore, understanding the leadership style that effectively enhances teacher performance is crucial to achieving quality education. The objective of this research is to analyze how the principal's leadership strategies influence teacher motivation, discipline, and instructional effectiveness at MTs Nurul Qadim. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research design to gain in-depth insight. The subjects in this study were the principal and several teachers who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document studies, ensuring triangulation as a technique for data validity. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that the principal employs a dual approach: task-oriented and relationship-oriented leadership. The task-oriented behavior is demonstrated through structured supervision, the implementation of sanctions for violations, and the provision of performance-based rewards. Meanwhile, the relationship-oriented behavior is reflected in the principal's exemplary conduct, personal attention and emotional support to teachers, as well as the facilitation of ongoing professional development through training programs. These leadership practices significantly contribute to improving teacher performance, morale, and work commitment.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rasa nasionalisme sudah mulai luntur seiring dengan perkembangan jaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui internalisasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PAUD Insan Kamil Dharma Wanita Persatuan IAIN Surakarta dari bulan Desember 2019 sampai dengan April 2020. Subyek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas B. Informan yaitu kepala sekolah dan siswa kelas A. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diperoleh menggunakan triangulasi, sumber, dan metode. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa internalisasi yang dijalankan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu transformasi nilai, transaksi nilai dan transinternalisasi melalui metode ceramah, pembiasaan dan pengulangan yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Rasa cinta tanah air atau nasionalisme diinternalisasikan pada aspek pengembangan nilai agama dan moral adalah nilai tolong menolong, kerjasama, saling menghargai dan toleransi.Kata Kunci: Internalisasi, Nilai Nasionalisme, Pembelajaran PAUD

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition that, if allowed to increase, can significantly injure internal organs due to high blood pressure. The objective of this study is to use the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm along with PCA and t-SNE to accurately identify four categories of Hypertension, Normal, Hypertension, Stage 1 Hypertension, and Stage 2 Hypertension. After establishing the scope, a dataset consisting of 7,794 samples was sourced from Labuang Baji Regional General Hospital, Makassar, and contained age, weight, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure parameters. The class distribution is Normal (36.3%), Hypertension (43.12%), Stage 1 Hypertension (8.29%), and Stage 2 Hypertension (12.31%). Experimental results show that the KNN base model achieved 99% accuracy, KNN with PCA reached 100%, and KNN with t-SNE attained 99%. Cross-validation was used to evaluate model generalization, yielding accuracies of 91%, 94%, and 91%, respectively. These findings suggest that KNN, particularly when integrated with t-SNE, is highly effective in visualizing and classifying non-linear data structures. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that incorporating dimensionality reduction techniques enhances the interpretability of classified hypertension data, which is crucial for informed decision-making by mental health committees.
