Abstract

The increasing population growth and demand for transportation energy in Indonesia, particularly from fossil fuel-powered vehicles, highlight the urgency of adopting environmentally friendly technologies. The government's focus on electric vehicles is promising, but it requires competent human resources support. The Community Service Program (PKM) titled "Energy Optimization Through Mechanization Training for Vehicle Control Systems: A PKM Approach" at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, has made a significant contribution. Through the PKM approach, students are actively engaged, enhancing their knowledge and practical skills in implementing energy-efficient technology. The outcomes include improved assembly and integration skills for control system mechanisms and the implementation of technology in personal vehicles. This training also raises environmental awareness and empowers students as agents of change. Positive evaluations from aspects of knowledge, skills, and social impact support the importance of developing competent human resources to facilitate the advancement of energy-efficient vehicle technology in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Pulmonary metastases arising from extremity fibrosarcoma are among the most common sites of distant metastasis. The median survival after the occurrence of metastasis is approximately one year. Patients treated with nonoperative therapy have a median survival of 11 months. Case Illustrations: A 70-year-old female, never smoker, admitted to the hospital with a chief complaint of shortness of breath. The patient had a history of fibrosarcoma on the left foot followed by surgery a year ago. Chest X-ray showed central lung mass with massive right pleural effusion. Post-contrast chest imaging revealed a heterogeneous, enhancing, lobulated mass in both lungs. TTNA and core biopsy were performed under USG guidance on the lung mass. The cytologic findings revealed a metastatic neoplasm-suggestive sarcoma. The concomitant core biopsy showed a histologic pattern of spindle cells arranged in short intersecting fascicles suggestive of metastases of fibrosarcoma. The patient showed rapid deterioration resulting in death on the 20th day of hospitalization. Discussion: The incidence of fibrosarcoma in the lower limb accounts for 40% of all cases of soft tissue tumors. Patient with extremity sarcomas are more likely to have distant metastases as their initial site of recurrence. From the histologic pattern, those patients with spindle cell sarcoma were the most likely to have pulmonary metastases. Data on pulmonary metastases arising from extremity fibrosarcoma is poorly available making it difficult to treat metastatic sarcoma. Conclusion: Pulmonary metastases from fibrosarcoma are a challenging issue, with a median survival of less than one year post-metastasis. Pulmonary metastasectomy can extend survival to 33 months, but a multidisciplinary approach, including tailored chemotherapy and radiotherapy, is crucial due to the diverse tumor behaviors. This case highlights the rapid progression and poor prognosis of metastatic fibrosarcoma, underscoring the need for comprehensive treatment strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regulations and implications of polygamy for Civil Servants (PNS) in Indonesia. The methodology employed is library research with a qualitative and descriptive approach, collecting data from primary and secondary sources to identify patterns and significant information. The findings indicate that although polygamy is permitted under Law No. 1 of 1974, its implementation for PNS is strictly regulated through Government Regulation No. 45 of 1990, which protects the rights of wives and prevents abuse. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that while the Quran permits polygamy, Indonesian positive law places greater emphasis on the principle of monogamy, with the authority to grant polygamy permits resting entirely with the judges of the Religious Court.

Abstract

The research focuses on improving the security of information systems in ABC City, specifically on the XYZ website application developed by the Communication and Informatics Office ABC to assist in governmental administration and manage various critical data. This study is motivated by the high incidence of cybersecurity threats in the governmental administration sector, as reported by Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara in November 2023. The primary objective of this research is to identify security vulnerabilities within the XYZ website application. The research employs the Information Systems Security Assessment Framework (ISSAF) as the primary security testing framework and the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide (WSTG) version 4.2 as the guide for the penetration testing phase, one of the stages in ISSAF for validating vulnerabilities. Validated vulnerabilities are further assessed for severity using the OWASP Risk Rating guidelines to estimate the risk and impact of potential attacks on the Communication and Informatics Office ABC. The research methodology uses a black-box testing approach. To ensure a structured approach, it provides security recommendations using the SMAACT method. This research includes a report on the identified vulnerabilities and recommendations that the Communication and Informatics Office ABC can implement to address these vulnerabilities. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into existing security vulnerabilities within the website application and practical recommendations for improvement, benefiting both the practical context of enhancing information security at the Communication and Informatics Office ABC and the theoretical context as a reference for similar future research.

Abstract

Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan Yuridis Normatif yang didukung pendekatan Yuridis Empiris. Kajian politik kriminal rendahnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kinerja Kepolisian Sektor Sangir Jujuan berbentuk lambatnya penanganan laporan, di mana warga merasa tidak mendapat respons cepat saat melaporkan kasus. kurangnya transparansi dalam proses penanganan kasus membuat masyarakat merasa tidak mendapat kepastian dan solusi. Warga merasa diabaikan dan cenderung enggan melaporkan masalah, kurangnya transparansi dalam proses kasus.  Minimnya keterlibatan dalam kegiatan sosial, Polsek hanya aktif dalam urusan keamanan, tetapi minim keterlibatan dalam kegiatan sosial dan adat. Masyarakat merasa hubungan dengan polisi hanya sebatas formalitas, bukan sebagai mitra keamanan. Terdapat adanya kesenjangan atas puas atau ketidakpuasan yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat atas kinerja dan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh petugas Polsek Sangir Jujuan yang berdampak pada rendahnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Polsek Sangir Jujuan. Rendahnya kepercayaan publik ini berdampak negatif pada stabilitas keamanan di wilayah tersebut. Kendala dalam mengatasi rendahnya kepercayaan mayarakat terhadap kinerja Kepolisian Sektor Sangir Jujuan adalah Faktor Internal meliputi, keterbatasan sumber daya seperti jumlah personel dan fasilitas mempengaruhi kemampuan Polsek dalam merespons laporan secara cepat, sikap petugas yang dianggap kurang ramah dan empatik memperburuk hubungan dengan warga. Tidak adanya mekanisme pengaduan yang efektif dan transparan. Penanganan kasus terlambat karenanya banyaknya di wilayah terpencil dan sulit dijangkau. Sikap pelayanan yang kurang ramah dan empatik. Polisi kurang aktif dalam kegiatan sosial atau acara komunitas, sehingga interaksi antara warga dan polisi terbatas pada urusan penegakan hukum.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research (as if experimental) by design Control Group Design Pre Test & Post Test which aims to determine the effect of learning video-based audio-visual media on improving student learning outcomes. The population in the research class XI TKR with a total of 56 students consisting of 28 experimental class students and 28 control class. The sample in the study was carried out using the technique (Simple Random Sampling) because the taking of sample members from the population is done randomly. Each student will randomly choose a roll of paper that says the experimental class and the control class. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis research to obtain an overview of the increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class obtained an average value pre test 46.25 and post test 85.36 while the control group obtained an average value pre test 49.64 and post test 67.50 after being given the highest value treatment results post test the experimental class is higher than the control class. The results of the hypothesis test to obtain the effect of audio-visual media based on video learning based on the calculation of the hypothesis test (independent sample t test) shows a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The value of t is also obtained tcount of 6,578 and ttable of 2,048. because tcount = 6.578 > ttable= 2.048 points H0 rejected and Ha accepted, which means there is an influence on the use of learning video-based audio-visual media. Index calculation resultsgain to obtain the effectiveness of the use of audio-visual media based on video learning experimental class obtained valuegain of 0.728 in the high category while the control class obtained a valuegain of 0.355 medium category. This shows the effectiveness of using audio-visual media based on video learning to improve student learning outcomes compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance through teacher work motivation at SMK Negeri 5 Gowa. The research uses quantitative methods with statistical analysis and structural equation modeling-partial least squares analysis to answer hypotheses. The population in this study was all teachers of SMK Negeri 5 Gowa and theresearch sample amounted to 51 teachers. The results showed: 1) there was a positive and significant influence of 30.2% of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance; and 2) there was a positive and significant influence of 19.5% of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance through teacher work motivation. This study shows that the role of teacher work motivation is partial mediation. The transformational leadership of the principal improves teacher performance through the role of teacher work motivation. The transformational leadership of the principal in improving the quality of education at SMK Negeri 5 Gowa is getting better. A principal's transformational leadership style can have a significant impact on teacher performanceand teacher work motivation resulting in teacher growth and empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) an overview of students' basic competency learning skills at Takalar State Vocational School, (2) an overview of Student Field Work Practices (PKL) at Takalar State Vocational School, (3) an overview of Student Self-Efficacy at Takalar State Vocational School, (4) an overview of student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (5) the effect of basic skills competency learning on student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (6) the effect of Field Work Practices (PKL) on student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (7) the effectof Self-Efficacy On the work readiness of students at Takalar State Vocational School, (8) the joint effect of learning basic competency skills, field work practices, and self-efficacy on student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School. This type of research is quantitative research with the Expost Facto method. The samplein the study was 123 students of class XII. Research data obtained by documentation and questionnaire techniques. The data analysis technique used was descriptivestatistical analysis, inferential statistics and hypothesis testing using the SPSS program. The research results show that; (1) students' basic competency learning skills are in the "high" category, (2) Student Field Work Practices are in the "high" category, (3) Self-Efficacy is in the "high" category, (4) student work readiness is in the "high" category (5) there is an effect of learning basic competency skills onstudents' work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (6) there is an effect of Field Work Practices (PKL) on student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (7) there is an effect o Self-Efficacy on Student Work Readiness at Takalar State Vocational School, (8) there is a joint influence between learning basic competency skills, field work practices, and self-efficacy on student work readiness at Takalar State Vocational School.

The aim of this research is to determine (1) the influence of the principal's leadership and infrastructure together on teacher performance. (2) the partial influence of the principal's leadership and infrastructure on teacher performance. This type of research is explanatory research using a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were all teachers from two schools, namely SMK Somba Opu and SMK YPKK Limbung in Gowa Regency, totaling 84 respondents using a sampling technique, namely census. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The research results show that (1) There is an influence of the principal's leadership and infrastructure together on teacher performance with an F test of 52.463. This means that the principal's leadership and infrastructure work together to create higher teacher performance. (2) There is a positive and significant influence of the principal's leadership and partial infrastructure on teacher performance. The positive and significant influence of the principal's leadership on teacher performance is proven by the t test value of 5.254. This means that the better the principal's leadership, the higher the teacher's performance. There is a positive and significant influence of infrastructure on teacher performance as evidenced by the t test value of 2.924. This means that the more complete the school infrastructure, the teacher performance will increase.
